Need To Know

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Philippians 4:8

The writer CS Lewis said "The most difficult thing in prayer, the real me talking to the real God, not what I think I am, or what I think he is."

As a Field Grade Army Officer, I knew and lectured about the Military "Need to Know" restrictions. If anything is specific sensitive enough, there are only certain people who are allowed to know. The more sensitive the information, the more qualifications there are for meeting the "Need to know"  approval access... such as espionage.

We go through life keeping to ourselves many things which we should reveal... The opportunity is just never there. I could not tell you how many times I have been called about ancestry, where people in my family are buried. A cousin called recently to ask me if I had any idea about the age of the "foot washing basins" in the family church. They all know that I am the oldest, they know that I payed attention to such things. WHO WILL THEY ASK WHEN I AM GONE? This is one reason I have written these blogs about my life, my ancestry, my travels, my ancestors land holdings, even the mannerisms-attitudes-intelligence, of the past.

In my lifetime, the entire world has changed. All knowledge now comes from a thinking machine. Today's youth cannot fathom the joy and suffering of mothers over sick children anymore than they can understand the joy and suffering of Christians as they look across a sin ravaged world.

When the North Vietnam Officials first entered Saigon and gained control of that city which had been headquarters for the United States and the South Vietnamese, these Anti-Christian, false religion, leaders first words were: "we must get rid of all this Western decadence."

Words that so aggravate me, whether they come across in one to one conversation, or the parsing of words on television and talk radio, "Do you know what I mean?" or "Do you know what I'm trying to say?" Of course we do not know what you mean or what you are trying to say. It is in your mind, and do you think we have a right to know? If so, make it plain, speak your mind. It is from the heart that the mind speaks. Most of us are smart enough to discern hypocrisy, deceit

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."

Philippians 2:5-8

Do you hunger and thirst for honesty?

Is it possible: that families and nations can unite for the benefit of man kind?
Is it possible: babies can be born loved, cared for? Not abused as children?
Is it possible: that government can be honest with it's citizen's, not deceitful?
Only 1% of the American population believe the Governments account of 9-11.
Is it possible: that modern men can look at news broadcasts without being ambushed by false flag news such as a ridiculous story about a psychotic pilot taking down a plane? 154 college students being slained in Kenya? Or 219 school girls kidnapped in Nigeria.
Even more ridiculous and they expect the world to swallow such in the bottomless ocean of technology: Malaysian 370 totally disappearing from the face of the earth?
Is it possible: the international bankers could be satisfied with small profits instead of profits from constant warfare, terrorism and spending (America is constantly involved in war, our enemies cannot produce war equipment or the books which radicalizes them)?
General Smedly Butler told us long ago that "War is a racket."
Is it possible: that justice can reign on earth? In this bipolar world, where adults spend an average of four hours per day watching trash on television? Where it is the ambition of big pharma and big medicine to have every human being addicted to prescription drugs?
Is it possible: ever, that austerity would start at the top instead of the involuntary servitude visited on the hard working, tax paying, god fearing poor people who can barely survive?

The atheist can never understand or explain the caretaker of the planets. The conscious in the mind of every man. God's greatest creation is man, the mind of man. This world traveler noted that across every continent, people talked their own language. You know what is in their mind by their words. Just as you know the mind of a man by his conversation. This writer can read a man very quickly from his appearance: if he wears a clean shirt and tie, if his shoes are polished. I can tell the quality of manhood by the way a man keeps his car. It is a sorry man who has a dirty car (cups, cans, trash on the floorboard). I can tell you much about a man by his habits, his correspondence, the books he reads. Most of all, how he treats his mother.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

Faith is a verb. Action based on belief, sustained by confidence. For one to be a man of faith, one must have courage and courage is 90% faith. We know about the Martyrs of the past. We know about many of today's martyrs, men and women living and proclaiming Christianity in spite of torture, we know about those in Syria, Iraq. Many church members, who claim the name of Christ do not have the courage to remember what he did for them at his table, his broken body- shed blood. "There is a need to know about his healing, forgiving through his death and resurrection."

Incident; Accidents

Incident; Accidents

“This is the most transparent administration in history,” Obama, February 14, 2013.

Dying is only bad when it takes a long time.  Dying, like living, is something you do very much alone, despite what others may think.  No matter what they say, it is a world of meism...  Others don't really care.  Your family and friends may walk by and stare at you while you are laying in a box, but they all just want you to be over, especially if money is involved.

There is no loneliness like the loneliness of the whistle blower, one who exposes corruption.  Others may go through the courses of political science actually have some knowledge of spiritual absolutes (right and wrong), but when the rubber meets the road they will chose political correctness... They do not want to get involved.  One man revealed a two billion dollar corruption within the giant Japanese Olympus corporation.  His life was threatened and he was run out of the country.  Whether the school house, courthouse, statehouse, or White house, the sunlight of transparency is not very popular.  The president wants popularity above everything else as do the leaders in education, religion and judiciary.

This writer from an impoverished life, a concerned, committed Christian and patriot believes in integrity and honesty above everything.  While on the staff of an army hospital to discover that America had not only brought back space scientist from Nazi Germany (Red Stone Arsenal), but the entire staff of an army hospital where they could care for these space scientist.   Later in another military situation where I was attached to a national guard unit, I learned of one officer loading army trucks from a commissary with commodities to sell at his personal store.  I was selected by the governor to represent the national guard at their national convention (San Antonio, Texas).  I had met the adjutant general of the national guard, a former ambassador to Nicaragua, and felt I could, in confidence, report this situation to him.  He said, "oh, this is just small potatoes."

Recently, another example of unconcern (National Self Immolation 1603), my experience with Medicaid fraud taking place in a building I own (millions of tax payer dollars involved), my sending a complete summation and photographs to agencies and news organizations which should be concerned with no one responding.  Even your lawyer, in a situation like this, will estrange himself from you.  We learned that family, friends, and associates do not want to involve themselves with people of courage...  People with courage enough to stand up for what is right.  It is easier to live under tyranny than to fight.  All of the silly preaching by pastors and politicians concerning integrity has about the same intimidation in their lives as the force of a black cat... Talk is cheap.  Only in Jesus Christ is our humanity transformed.

1 Peter 4:12-16

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice , inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy . 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of , but on your part he is glorified . 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed ; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

As the ancient story, a great Trojan horse has penetrated/infiltrated our democratic republic.  The age of casual Christianity and casual patriotism is over.  90% of Christian faith is just raw courage.  It takes courage to stand up against greed, bribery and treason.

In North Africa from a very high distance, I saw young men jump with a bungee cord.  They were very much alone.  In Mexico I saw young men jump into the whirling Pacific from very high cliff.  They were very much alone.  There is no loneliness like the loneliness of disability (cripple, deafness, blindness).  In my many contacts with other blind people, I have attempted to describe color because I have not always been blind.  There are more disabled people than African Americans (black 13%, disabled 32%) in America yet, notice how many disabled people are in your churches-restaurants-concerts.  Like the proverbial ostrich with his head in the sand, we want to believe that everything is going to work out and that we will never be disabled or enslaved.  We know that 30% of the stints involved in the human heart fail.  We know that statin drugs, Lipitor, etc. (big farmers' largest money makers), are toxic to the human body.  Our minds are an entanglement of confusion.  We just want our life to be a matter of going through the motions, staying on schedule, eating-drinking-sex, not much different than the lower animals.  The crowning glory of man is his nervous system, a mind that can make decisions, not only for his own welfare, but that of his family, neighbors and country.  We have been provided with the whole armor of God.  Ephesians 6: 10-11.  With satanic forces as with the incidents and accidents of daily life, we must, with the whole armor of God, stand against evil and not back up one inch.

Pyramids of Life

Mr. Democrat, Sam Rayburn, serving longest as Speaker of the House, 17 years, was an old-time conservative Democrat from Bonham, Texas. One time he told one of his friends, “I have a doctor's appointment in Texas.” His friend said, “why don't you use one of the government doctors here in Washington?” Mr. Sam said, “I go to my doctor, who treats me as a person, not a chart.” I remember his funeral in Bonham, strange to onlookers on television, a plain, primitive Baptist church, no music, everything simple. He was a part of simple people in simple times.

A woman was standing in line in the post office, she said to a young man behind her, “you can go ahead of me because I just need to get some stamps.” The young man said, “why are you waiting in this line, there is a stamp machine over in the corner?” She said, “no, I'll wait.” He said, “why wait, it will be so simple to get your stamps from the machine.” She said, “the machine will not ask me about my grandchildren.”

In practice, the most important thing on a patient's record, something personal about the patient, children, grandchildren. I always asked about the children and grandchildren in the very beginning. I kept a birthday book in my office, when I was not real busy I wrote a personal note to each patient on the patient's birthday, almost always, some patient would say, “doctor, you are the only person I hear from on my birthday.”What has happened to the nobility of concern and consideration in our society.

Two of the largest pyramids in the world, the greatest landmarks of Europe, the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris and the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, both built of stone. The Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt, 240 million tons of stone, blocks, 40 to 60 tons each, joined together so accurately that a human hair will not go between two blocks.

Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris was completed in 1345, built of stone, above a stone structure that was built 400 AD, the great stone edifice has been subjected to wars, and even the abuse of the French Revolution.

In these two stone pyramids, citadels, though stone, we find much personality. Surely if stone structures can show personality, the human temple with a soul, should have this as the rampart of its existence. The human being is a temple, not a dumpster, made in the very image of God, created to show the best in godly characteristics, we are his workmanship. (Ephesians 2:10) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

In Alexis De Tocqueville's book written in 1835, he said, “America is great because America is good.” We have never been afraid to self-analyze. Blessed is the person who has a friend to whom he can go with problems, a pastor with someone not a member of his church, a businessman with someone not associated with his business, a mother with someone with whom she can discuss her children; someone who can objectively give advice with honesty and sincerity. My first words to a lawyer, “be objective, not subjective with me.”

The greatest wealth one can have, is someone who only has your good fortune at heart, someone to share everything, such a friend is hard to find. Often, such electricity between two friends, is resented by a mate or family member. I have known male friends from youth to lose that friendship because of a jealous wife, who felt left out of the electricity, the close relationship. This often happens, even in families.

In human development, nothing replaces stability, preparation, recognizing the essentials for success, character determines destination, character is built on a foundation of both physical and spiritual qualities. Pyramids of solid rock must have a strong foundation, I can think of no greater foundation than that of spiritual morals and physical integrity. The object is not just the making of money, or even success, God only had to say it one time” For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10)

Recently, BBC (British Broadcasting Company) broadcast a program on the difficulty for American black women, college-educated, to find a husband. Like most of us, black girls have found that their road to success requires a college education. ¼ of all black men drop out of high school, 1/3 of all black men are either in prison or have a prison record, black women do not want to marry a man with a prison record, and black women prefer to marry a black man. College-educated black men often marry a white woman.

Dysfunctional families lead to dysfunctional children, and this is recognized throughout American life. I truly believe that much of this results from a drought of the mind...people refusing to consider and be concerned with the blessings of American citizenship. Every crop needs rainfall, every lawn a good shower, our ancestors knew that clear thinking, Godly preparation were the best roads to success. There are no shortcuts on the road to success, particularly if you have lost your way, got off the main road and lost your road map.

One woman who worked for me, Veronica, had given birth to three children, had never been married, she wanted me to meet a husband prospect, we had breakfast together. He told me about his youth, hard times, eating dog food. Later, I said to her, “he does not have a job, has never prepared for a future, you already have all the problems you can handle.”

In an interview, Tiger Woods said, “I lied to myself.” If you are going to survive, if you are going to be a rock-solid pyramid fortress, you need to be honest with yourself, and it would certainly be helpful to have a friend who is a stabilizing influence, to help keep you that way.

At the time of the ascension of Christ, there was probably only one Christian for each several hundred thousand people. Just think of what these few pyramids of faith have done for the world, the world would not be fit to live in if it had not been for the life and example of one God/man of history. Never wrote a book, never led an army, never traveled but a few miles from where he was born, did not own a change of clothing, born in a borrowed stable, buried in a borrowed tomb, every event in history dated by his birthday.

Betrayal Inc.

In Frank Loesser's Broadway musical Guys & Dolls the favorite tune was “Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat”. I was not born to be popular, politically correct, my stalwart convictions about Christianity, politics, economics, and morality has caused me to rock many boats. Christ, the perfect example, had very few real followers even of His own family. The one great fact of Christianity, never having been conceived in the minds of most, it is essential to believe God...not the well-worn phrase,“Believe in God”. Satan, the cults, many agnostics, believe in God. It was religious people who gave Judas the pieces of silver and I am convinced that betrayer Judas “believed in God”.

Blessed is the man or woman who has never been betrayed by family, friends and even country. Totally blind, I depend entirely on my other senses. My best method of learning is hearing. I can listen to several radios, several conversations at the same time. In a reception area, at the VA hospital in Durham NC, I overheard two WWII veterans talking. Like me, both were 100% disabled, one had spent his life in a wheel chair. The other, constantly ill from chemicals in Germany.

One said, “I was on the front lines in a fox hole with my friend. A bullet came in and killed him instantly. In back of me some other fellows said, you better come back here with us because they have you in their sights.” He said, “Half frozen, I started crawling towards them, was shot several times in the process but they put up enough fire power so the medics could get to me and get me out of the place”. Both talked about their betrayal by the government in not being provided with the care for which they were promised. One said, “If it were not for my wife working all the time we could never have made it.” One said, “23% of the people around us get food stamps, welfare checks, health care at the local hospital. They don't have to drive all this distance from Moorehead City to get care.”

I have heard such stories as these over and over in my lifetime of not only working in military hospitals but being a patient in a military hospital and in VA facilities. I have never known a veteran who did not feel that he had been betrayed by the country he had promised to serve. The tragedy, the country has broken it's promises to veterans. Ten million dollars goes to the nation of Israel every day. Millions of dollars go to colleges and universities every day as grants for college students. Only those who have gone through the trauma of a VA housing loan know the problems involved.

We watch with horror the destitute conditions in Haiti. Sources admit to the death of over 150,000 in this earthquake catastrophe. Until 2 days ago, 11 days after the event, people were still being pulled from under the debris, an 84 year old woman, a 21 year old man, a small baby. From all accounts, it seems there is little direction or organization in the disaster. We wonder how many were still alive...still waiting for help. It must have been an awful death...an awful sense of betrayal.

Ten percent of all unbelievers were once connected to a church. I always try to make the statement in every religious or political speech, “I have failed God many times but God has never failed me”. So many former believers have told me that they felt “betrayed by the church...that God did not seem to care.” I heard one black woman, say on the radio one day, “My life has been one great burden. The only God I know anything about is a white folks God”.

Learned early in life, early in your belief system, “don't depend on fair weather friends or members of your own family”. You will find, just as I have found, your siblings, your cousins, and most members of your family are the last people on whom you should depend. I have a niece and nephew who I do not know, cousins, who will walk up to me and say, “I have heard of you all my life but have never seen you before.” Most disabled people will tell you, your family more so than anyone else, “out of sight, out of mind”. As the manager of a large restaurant on Wrightsville Beach told me one time, “I do not encourage disabled people to eat here because it makes our normal customers uncomfortable.”

The first time Joseph Stalin met FDR at the Yalta conference, with all the Russian intelligence he did not know FDR was a cripple in a wheel chair. So obsessed was he over Roosevelt's condition he would just walk over to him and touch him on the shoulder. I thought of this recently while at my oldest uncles funeral, several family members, in the family area, after my driver had taken me into the room, were not brave enough to introduce themselves but would just walk over and touch me on my shoulder. I have thought many times, how would my sister, two brothers and other relatives had treated me if I had gone to prison?

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (Matthew 25:34-46)

It can be no clearer than that, words from our blessed lord. I heard Dr. James Dobson say, “87% of people in nursing homes never have a visitor.” One of my long time friends, Eddy Jones, after he retired from government service, volunteered time in a nursing home, Florida, where most were paying $6,000 a month for care. He told me, that most of the people there never had a visitor. A wonderful lady, I sat with in Church for many years, she had been a member of the church for 70 years, went to the Catherine Kennedy nursing home. Molly, no longer able to give as much money to the church as previously, seldom had a visitor from the church...they forgot her even though she had been loyal her entire life. She would call me in her loneliness, having outlived her family, feeling betrayed by everyone. Even at this expensive place, the attendants were always giving her the wrong medication and I honestly believe, finally killed her. Terrible for veterans betrayal, terrible for innocent unborn betrayal, terrible for child molestation betrayal, terrible for marriage betrayal, but more terrible is the betrayal of the elderly and the disabled by their own family and friends.

I could not understand the betrayal of parents, the molestation of children by teachers, pedophile priests, until I learned of chemical abortion (A system of non-surgical abortion whereby chemicals are put into the womb of the mother to kill the baby and then the baby is expelled from the mother's body). Jews do not abort their young, Muslims do not abort their young. Only Christ-less authoritarian, human mothers will abort their young.

One mother was listening to her daughter in her prayers before bedtime. She said, and the mother never forgot the words, “God help my mother to be as nice at home as she is at Church”. Not just my in laws but others I knew well, always so pleasant and friendly in public...particularly at church...so nasty and hateful at home. When a child sees beer in the refrigerator his entire life, sees his parents with a cocktail shaker, sees his family members smoking or doping, don't be surprised when your child is arrested for drug addiction or drunk driving. When your children see you singing praises to God at the Church house but hear you swearing and “cussing” in your house, don't be surprised if your children leave home faithless.

When your children observe your action at the Lord's table during the Communion service but observes your gluttony and grouchiness at your dinner table don't be surprised with your child's infidelity, lack of integrity, lack of influence anywhere. It is estimated that only 5% of Church goers are real Christians, only 20% participate in any service. Who are we fooling! Certainly not God, He has the very hairs of your head numbered (Matthew 10:30).

In Bhutan, high in the Himalayas, I saw followers of Buddha crawling up steps on their knees, their obedience and worship of Buddha. In Hindu temples, followers were wrapped in nets to keep from killing even a gnat in their Hindu worship. Does the sovereign God, Creator of the Universe, feel betrayed?

Losing Touch

Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug. . . (Isaiah 51:1)

As a child, the church was as much a part of my life as my own home. Our family church was built in 1874, just after the Civil War. Both my mother and father's great grandparents were in the church; and they built the large, white structure on land furnished by one of my great grandfathers. The church was very typical of eastern NC churches of that era, wood framed with windows on all four sides, a double door in the front, and pulpit in the rear. A dividing partition ran down the center of the church. The men sat on the right hand side from the front door, the women on the left. When I was a small child and before the educational building was added, each corner of the large building was a Sunday school space, curtained off by draperies. So, there were 4 Sunday school classes. Just in front of the pulpit, on the communion table, was a small round table bell. When Sunday school was over, the Sunday school super intendant would tap on the bell.

I have two homes, one in town and one on the beach. I prepare my own food, (thank God with the help of a microwave). And each time before I eat, I tap on the bell in each house. I don't want to forget “the rock from which I was hewn, the hole of the pit from which I was dug.” I have seen most of the world. I have had an exciting life, have outlived most of my friends; but I do not want to forget the basics of life, the memories of things that have brought me this far.

Tragic is the person who loses touch with the values of life. In our urban lifestyles we have forgotten our rural ancestors who looked with fond memories on the “homeplace”, the farm home where several generations were reared. In the pomp and circumstance of the padded pews and operatic choirs of the city church, we have forgotten the homecoming of the country church with lunch spread on outside tables. Relatives came from far and wide because this was a time for the rejoicing of families in well earned memories, not only of one another, but the graciousness and promises of the Christian life.

It is a sad social recluse who does not enjoy the homecoming at his school or college. In spite of the fact that everyone has changed, everyone has aged. The guys have become bald. The girls have become “less small”.

“Old Age” by Buddha

The glorious chariots of the kings wear out;
the body also comes to old age;
but the virtue of good people never ages;
thus the good teach each other.

It is truly tragic that the only time most families see one another is at a funeral. Don't be surprised if your family is the last one to love you in time of need. God is good. You can survive without family. Nearly 50 years as a totally blind, disabled person, only three cousins have been in my house, two of the same mother. One cousin sends me some food each Christmas. Christ told us that we must be willing to give up our family, if we were going to follow Him. My family, generally speaking, are all church goers. But, like so many, are just “playing church”. God, in His unquestioned sovereignty has assured me that my last worry should be my disinterested, unconcerned family. They do not know what lies in their pathway either.

Even denominations lose touch with their doctrine and the fundamentals of their beliefs. Think of the Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Lutherans, who do not object to homosexual pastors or same sex marriage. It must be a depraved church goer, who can sit in a church knowing that a homosexual minister is telling him how to live. STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOUR MORAL PRINCIPLES. It is a depraved congressperson who can sit in a committee room, making laws to govern people with the likes of a Barney Frank. STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOUR MORAL PRINCIPLES. It is a depraved state legislator who can sit in a legislative building making laws to govern hardworking, tax paying, God fearing citizens with the likes of R. C. Soles or Julia Boseman. STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOUR MORAL PRINCIPLES.

Eight times in the Holy Scriptures we learn of the “wrath of God”. We know that the modernistic, liberal church goers just believe in the love of God. Remember, our God is a consuming fire. (Deuteronomy 4:24) Don't lose touch with the absolutes of heaven and hell. Our country is beyond a political battle. It is now a spiritual battle. On 9-9-09 we heard a false witness in the congress promoting the tax paying of abortions (murder of children). Mother Theresa said before her death, “Only prayer will save America.” It is obvious that Christians are not fasting, certainly should be praying. “God is Boss.” The church is not on a majority rule basis any more than a military mission is on a majority rule. When a commanding officer, in time of war, orders “cease that territory from the enemy” the warriors do not have a vote. We are in a spiritual battle. You are on your own in this battle. Your knowledge of God's Word, your liberal minister, will not supply any defense when you stand before God in judgment.

Jesus Christ has never lost touch with you. He never knew what it was like to lose a wife or a child. But he was a man of sorrows (Isaiah 53:3), and understands being tired, hungry, thirsty and knew what it was to work with his hands. He was all points tested, but was without sin, a sinless savior. (Hebrews 4:9). Twice God rested, after the creation of the universe and after the crucifixion of His beloved son, when Christ said, “It is finished”. Never lose touch with the finished work of Christ. Colossians 2:10 Don't lose touch with the fact that in Him you are complete. Everything you do in his name, will be blessed.
