Metaphorical Handcuffs
"Train up a child in the way he
should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it!" Proverbs 22:6
If it were possible to trace back to their beginnings, in each individual, those good or evil impulses which have become ruling affections--in most cases the origin would not be found until we had reached the home of childhood. Here it is that impressions are made, which become as enduring as existence itself. But the influence of home is not beneficial or baneful in early years alone. Wherever a home exists, there will be found the nursery of all that is excellent in social or civil life--or of all that is deformed.
Every man and woman we meet in society, exhibit, in unmistakable characters--the quality of their homes. The wife, the husband, the children--bear with them daily a portion of the spirit pervading the little circle from which they have come forth. If the sun shines there--a light will be on their countenances; but shadows--if clouds are in the sky of home.
If there is disorder, defect of principle, discord among the members, neglect of duty, and absence of kind attentions--then the sphere of those who constitute that home, can hardly be beneficial. They will add little to the common stock of good in the social life around them. We need not say how different will be the influence of those whose home-circle is pervaded by higher, purer, and truer principles.

The Foundation of which God built everything, the family. Even the world's greatest atheist, so sure ethicist, can not deny this. The family, mother and father, genes of two individuals, (one strand of DNA in a single cell, over 60 million characteristics tracing the family history). Where did this DNA come from? A benevolent creator in charge to the most minute detail, his plan for the creation of personhood. Even David, 4,000 years ago, could say, "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well (Psalm 139:13,14).
In 1973, the supreme court in a radical decision, allowed legal abortion. Can one even imagine the beautiful lives of the 53 million children, many of whom would now be adults? What they could have brought to this world? But thankfully possessed by the arms of God. Think of the more recent premier gay agenda conquest, same sex marriage....a repudiation, spitting in the face of all mighty God, who blessed the union of a man and woman in marriage. Sacred theology is built around marriage, the home...the church, the bride of Jesus.
At this time of election decision, how can anyone who believes in God, vote for anyone, particularly a President, who supports the evil of baby killing, the ridiculous "marriage" of two men or two women. The person who believes in evil will most certainly face the judgment of a God of justice and goodness. BUT, the enabler, one who votes for and supports such an abomination will most certainly give an account of such actions.
This writer believed that any thinking person, even a democrat, would change their party affiliation from democrat to something after the recent democrat convention when they attempted to even take God out of their party platform. BUT, I was wrong. Just as democrats did not leave the party, they evidently still support the evils promoted by the democrat party. The Christian world has been decimated by the Rockefeller foundation sponsored world council churches and the even greater evil, planned parenthood. This so called philanthropic foundation has brought shame to the Christian message. Even worse, the disaster-failure of the Christian church to recognize the evil of this foundation. Comfortable, sophisticated, unwilling to face the darkness of evil (Eph 6:12), the church has stood by, evidently handcuffed by political correctness-state controlled news media as the world flesh Devil has taken over.
