Fumes of Enlightenment

Not from the fumes of others exhaust but from a long day of work as an accountant, dealing with the tax forms of clients, hard working, God fearing, patriotic citizens voluntarily giving their privacy and the little profits they have left to the tax man. The tax man, IRS, under the supervision of the Secretary of the Treasury, a tax cheat himself and the Secretary of the Treasury (Tim Geithner) under the direction of the House Ways and Means Committee who's Chairman (Rep Charles Rangel) is also a tax cheat.

Driving down the highway, a highway built with tax bonds that have never been paid, gas in his car for which he is still making payments, expensive gas of which 48.6 cents on each gallon is tax, to get to work, plus license tags for his car, inspection fees, permits, vehicle property tax, automobile insurance, registration fees, parking fees, just to be able to get to work to make money in order to pay tax. He first passes the local liquor store where the manager and his son, his assistant, make a total of ½ million dollars a year in salaries, bonuses, retirement, just to manage 29 employees. Employees, who are employed because they are political hacks of the local political party. Liquor, which is taxed more than 50% of it's wholesale cost.

He next passes a restaurant … where he and his family cannot afford to eat. At this time of day, it is “happy hour”. The parking lot is full of government vehicles, driven at tax payer's expense by the bureaucrats and politicians on the inside … whooping it up, soaking it up, making all the advances towards one another which will ensure their re-election, continued employment and promotion. They can deduct the money there are paying there for liquor and food because it is a business expense to them.

A new car passes him, this driver evidently, at tax payer bail out, changed a clunker which he could not pay for, for a new car, government subsidized $4500, which now he cannot make payments on. Showing the conservatism of the government, his old car was destroyed.

Next, he passes a local church, a more or less country club with a steeple. Most members have just rolled over and now are playing dead. Like the Atheist, not satisfied to just be indifferent, just want to win an argument against spirituality. Today's church goer, more interested in changing God than God changing them. If all the members of this church were on welfare, and each tithed, the church would receive more money than in present given practices. If dead people could only talk, church people would learn so much. They would learn, that the hymn book in their hand, as they lied to God, they were only fooling themselves instead of trusting God.

He now passes a school, where everything is taught except the essentials, including the surge in Atheism. Wall to wall sexuality, heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual and tri-sexual … try anything, if it feels good, do it, today's preparatory courses for popularity. The schools have a homosexual agenda beyond compare. One teacher said recently, “I believe half the teachers in my school are homosexual”. With new legislation sponsored by Representative Barney Frank and his fiends, the homosexual teacher can now go to school dressed in “drag”. Christian values and family values were discarded long ago by the school system. In 1963, prayer was thrown out of the school and police officers began their patrol.

He next passes a housing project. 50% of American citizens do not pay any income tax, and most live in tax subsidized housing. In this housing project, next to the school, four registered sex offenders live in Section 8 housing, their living subsidized totally by tax payers … even to food stamps and utilities. Single mothers live in most of these subsidized apartments. 40% of all children live in homes without a father … 70% of all black children. But, this is good since these children are alive, 50% of all black babies are aborted and killed.

Our accountant finally reaches home, a house which is mortgaged, furnished with furniture which he is buying on payments. He greets his wife who has arrived home from work ahead of him. Both are still trying to repay their college loans. They have been able to afford one child who sits at the table waiting for her parents to join her for supper. This child, like every child born today, owes the government $48,000 at birth. Mother had stopped at the grocery store with some coupons she clipped from the paper and squeezed from the internet in order to buy some supper. Besides the mortgage, increased ad valorem taxes, increased homeowners insurance and increased utility bills. Groceries are the last thing to be purchased.

This American male, enlightened by the fumes of his homeward bound drive then asks God to bless their food. He thinks, only by the mercy of a gracious and abundant, sovereign creator can he and his family survive this present enslavement.

Compass

Young officers in the military are given coordinates on a map then, taken to an isolated area, put out in pairs, with a map and compass and told to reach a certain destination. In this type of exercise, you learn the importance of a compass. Most of today's young people have never seen a compass, sun dial, and certainly do not know how to read the X and Y zeniths on a map. Parallels mean nothing and certainly the solar sun spots and other cosmic activities involving the poles are not taught. Many who are geographically lost would be able to find their way to civilization...plane crash, kidnapping etc. if they had even rudimentary knowledge which our ancestors were forced to know such as the side of a tree on which moss grows etc.

Today's population, is too busy impressing one another. “My business is very good, my practice is extremely large, my children are very successful.” It has become a make believe world, everyone thinking they live life in a soap opera. Wrinkles are very honest. Grey hair is honest and respectable. Old age is an accomplishment . Why should a mother want to dress like her daughter?

One of my friends, a man about my age, died unexpectedly from a stroke. He and his wife had been very active in the church. When my wife, who was an accomplished pianist, was not there, his wife would play the piano. After his death, I was embarrassed to see her in public...obviously trying to attract another husband. She came into a restaurant where I was eating with some friends, real short dress, boots, and she looked like Nancy Sinatra in disguise. She did not acknowledge me at all and I certainly assumed that the people I was with did not want to describe her to me. My only thought, “what do her children think?”

There is nothing wrong with wigs, toupees, cosmetic surgery, if needed (13 billion spent on cosmetic surgery in 2007, a good toupee costs $800). There is nothing wrong with a family looking at a loved one after death, in a casket, if needed. It seems a heathen practice for the living, to stare at the dead in an open casket. It seems a heathen practice for death to be a time of celebrating with excessive eating. The rubber necking that goes on near a vehicle crash scene is unforgivable.

I asked my younger grandson, graduating from a large university in a few weeks, if he were active in a Christian organization on campus. He said, “most are just pretending”. We live in a world of pretension...politicians, pastors, parents, pretending to care. A parent who loves a child will be very careful about sending a child to a public school. Even putting police officers in the school, patrolling the hallways has not improved discipline. It is reliably reported that now there are cameras in the bathrooms of both sexes, that listening devices are installed in many places (locker rooms, showers, etc.) All these man made methods of control, just trying to establish discipline and acceptable behavior in a place where good behavior should be the rule not the exception.

Jesus Christ does not want cowards to carry his cross. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.” (Rom 12:1) Ask your school psychologist if he or she agrees with this. 80% of all psychologists are Atheists...a worthless, useless, unrecognized way of making a living. One of my doctor friends, a psychiatrist at Dorothea Dix hospital in Raleigh, said to me, “psychiatry and psychology are almost worthless but a good way of making a living”. In Mongolia, a communist from N. Korea told me about the workers which she had brought over to work in Mongolia, “they pretend to work and we pretend to pay them”. In psychology, the practitioner pretends to treat and the patient pretends to get better. Like prisoners, the recidivism rate is over 50%.

Most psychological work would be erased if parents realized that children are born untrained and that parenting is simply a matter of training a child. When talking with young men imprisoned in the stockade, when talking with young women (Women's Army Corps) who had problems adjusting to society, with both men and women, the sensitivity and harassment of sexual adjustment through the socially engineered school house, court house, church house and your house was something with which they could not adjust. The world, the flesh, the devil will always get the upper hand unless, with great parenting skills, you have made the necessary preparations in your child's psyche. Benjamin Spock, in his book Baby and Child Care, which sold 59 million copies in many languages around the world, indoctrinated many parents into training the child without discipline. Shortly before his death, and few realize this, “Dr. Spock apologized for his book and said he was wrong; his theories about raising children were hypothesis, but they did not bear out. In practice, healthy, responsible adults were not the outcome.”

As an Army medical officer, my two best friends, two outstanding doctors, one a German Jew, the only one of his family to survive Hitler's death chamber, the other, a black Meharry Medical School graduate from the Delta of Mississippi. He told me, that his grandmother told him, “if you get into trouble and they take you downtown to the jail, don't call us, we have lived as a respectable family in this community and you will not shame us”. The compass needed, in most families, is the compass of family obedience and pride. Children should have too much love for their parents to shame them. The needle on the compass should be set early in life in only one direction...straight and narrow. All of us do what we do because we believe what we believe. If we get our belief structure correct, life will be correct and much easier. Relax, live every day to the fullest, it is too short to spend your time pretending.

Sisyphus

Corinth is a city in Greece on an Isthmus at the South end of the Greek continent. The waters around Corinth are so treacherous that many of the early Greek ships sank trying to navigate the Isthmus. A canal was dug across the Isthmus and prior to that the ships were unloaded at Corinth and the ships were dragged across the land to re-enter the water on the other side. It was this unusual but active navigational challenge which lead to the build up of the city. We find the problems of Corinth described in the writings of Paul in his epistles to the churches at Corinth (I & II Corinthians). There was a large racial mixture in the city, a city of much sin. As in much large cities around the world, even in the United States the student of political geography finds that all cities, almost without exception are built on waterways or secluded harbors because nearly all commerce in the early history of the world depended on water travel.

Greek mythology attributes the founding of Corinth to Sisyphus. Sisyphus was the son of the king Aeolus of Thessaly. Sisyphus promoted navigation and commerce around Corinth but was accused of being deceitful. His punishment consisted in navigating a tremendous boulder up a hill only to watch it roll back down and then to repeat the same punishment. This was his punishment for eternity. From the writer Homer onward and even until this day, Sisyphus was known as the craftiest of men accused of every sinful deceit. Sisyphus was described by the poet Homer and even painted in the monastery at Delphi.

Greek mythology as well as other Pagan mystic raconteurs are almost subservient to Holy scripture and antiquarian mythological writing.

Often I am asked, how do you prepare a student for college or the university? We know, without one shadow of a doubt, that colleges and universities are laced with unethical atheistic professors and academicians who take a thrill in subjugating the faith brought to the campus from the unsuspecting student. 95% of all college professors are flaming liberals. Nothing makes a professor happier than to conquer the thinking of a student, the Christian student from the Christian home, of his hard earned faith. After all, God only expects one thing from us, student or otherwise...trust. If an academician can instill a seed of doubt within the heart of a believer he has achieved a Satanic triumph. The professor has made his decision...as Sinatra sang...”I did it my way”. The professor has already accepted the Darwinian myth that man is just another animal and why should the human animal possess or profess any characteristic different from the dog found in the alley way? Starting in the early part of the 20th century, with the founding of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Roger Baldwin who headed this anti-Christian organization for 30 years, we have seen a steady decline on the college and university campus of spiritual activity even though most of our early colleges and universities were founded by outstanding Christians. As I wrote to President Jenkins at Notre Dame, when he invited our first Communist President to speak at the university's graduation, I reminded him of the mission of the ACLU and Roger Baldwin who wrote, “I am for socialism, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself...I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.” Even on the day Baldwin was married, he and his wife professed they did not believe in marriage, that one should have sex with whomever possible, any more than he agreed with boundary lines or discipline of any type. Very much like John Dewey, Columbia University, who was used by the Russian Communists to set up their education system, “the end justifies the means”. We now have an administration in Washington who is following the dictates of Baldwin and Dewey.

As I have discussed in other commentaries, almost accidentally, I met Gus Hall in New York, chairman of the Communist party of the United States. I discussed him telling me in detail, “draperies and bedspreads”, how the Communists could burn America down overnight but, the Communist like the Islamic extremists do not want to take over a destroyed America but the “American dream”, homes, hotels, campuses, hospitals, factories, all built as a part of the greatest Democratic republic ever to exist which they can takeover for use in their control of the masses...slaves.

And you think, that the dumbing down of America happened accidentally. The global struggle for control of the Western world, without much bloodshed...much destruction was carefully planned. It was learned long ago, that even with churches on every corner...radio and television preachers sweating away in their proclamations about the soles eternal welfare...like Sisyphus, they really don't care. Carrying boulders up a hill or even eternal hellfire does not bother the psyche of most Americans.

This week, a memorial service was held for a 14 year old girl, just walking from school, murdered and buried. A 17 year old girl has just disappeared in the same area. These horror stories happen so often we hardly remember them from one day to the next. Close by, Fayetteville, a five year old child prostituted by her own mother, murdered and found buried, the mother and the mothers boyfriend arrested for the crime. Each day, 1,000 school girls become pregnant. Each day, seven teenagers commit suicide. Each day, 3,000 babies are aborted...1,452 black. When was the last time you heard your pastor speak about the sinking into Sodom of our nation. This country, blessed by God as no other has been warned time and time again about it's slippery slide into oblivion. God shows us what he can do...earthquakes beyond compare in Haiti, Chile, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey...all within two months.

The average college student is invincible, immortal, and infallible. Who needs God? Your professor does not think so, your school, even the Christian schools, do not think so. Like 50% of the American population students live from grants, the largess of hard working, tax paying citizens. The generosity of philanthropic citizens.

It bothers me beyond words to describe, that as frugally as I have lived my entire life, my generosity, as unto God, I give to Christian causes including Christian colleges. You would be shocked to learn how few times I have received even a simple...”thank you”. We have produced a “me” society content to just let others pay the bill. I am amazed how many times I send a gift of money to an organization (NRA, BVA, RNC, churches, clubs, pro life) just to find that the money I sent thinking honestly that I was helping do some good somewhere is used just to bombard me with solicitation for more money. In other words they spent every dime I have sent them, free will, thinking it will be used to good advantage, just to have the money “turned on me” with almost daily solicitation.

It is at the college that most students, right out of high school, eyes gleaming and thrilled in the anticipatory desire to learn and prepare for the future, has his first encounter with homosexuality, pornography, materialism, diadectic atheism. Parents, prepare your children from the earliest ages to encounter the satanic traps Satan has set for them at every conceivable encounter down the road of life...particularly in the college matriculation...their first independence. It is better to escape the entrapment. Many have been redeemed from such entrapment...and it is a learning experience...but character determines destination and the character instilled as young as possible will serve well throughout life. God was not joking when he said, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”...even in college (Pro 22:6).

We are not born prepared for life. It is a matter of early training, education, preparation. My greatest gift was the gift of blindness. The disabled, the handicapped learn early to carry boulders up hills, not as punishment but as a reward for escaping eternal damnation.
