Wisdom

North Carolina's Senator Sam Erwin, a constitutional lawyer and one of the finest men with whom I ever had a conversation (I introduced him at several meetings) said, “anyone who can paint an accurate picture of a cow does not have to write under the picture 'Cow.'” Anyone with two Purkinje cells still functioning should be able to discern the lackadaisical attitude of today's world without me pointing it out to them. We do what we do because we believe what we believe.

I have stood on the heights of Machu Picchu. I have stood on the heights of the Himalayas (Tibet), the Pyrenees, and heights all over the world. Climbing up the hill to the Parthenon in Greece, one of the world's most beautiful sites, I passed the bronze plaque which stipulates where on Mars Hill the apostle Paul was challenged by the philosophers of ancient Greece.

Socrates, Dr. Samuel Johnson, and Jesus, I consider the world's greatest philosophers. Today's modern churches, with their spiritual advisor, Oprah Winfrey, have largely discounted the teachings of the apostle Paul, who, under the inspiration of God, wrote most of the New Testament. The directions for a church and the Christian life are found his books from Romans to Philemon. Probably the most educated man of his time, we need to study his words again, particularly as it applies to wisdom and man's flaunting and floundering with wisdom (Romans 1:21-22 and 1 Corinthians 1: 21-22).

The most difficult study I ever made was the quantum theory, corpuscular theory of light bending as it enters water, first discovered by Newton. Like the clotting of blood, photosynthesis and the study of every histological structure of a human body, one strains to understand it all. The edge of today's wisdom involves the Hadron Collider, wherein man is looking out into the universe establishing the relationship between matter and space. We want to address the most fundamental laws of physics, and progress in our understanding of the deepest laws of nature. It is like reading God's thoughts, the origin of the Milky Way.

Science is no longer written like the text books of our high school and college days. Only a few scientists are now atheists, 30% of all scientists are dedicated Christians, the other 70% are considered agnostic or indifferent. Einstein said the most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it can be comprehended. The problem now, as in the apostle Paul's time, is that most intellectuals are too enraptured with their own knowledge, their own egos, and they want God to agree with them rather than taking God at His inerrant Word.

The most recent blockbuster movie is called Avatar, breaking all box office records—$1.8 billion already in receipts. I understand this movie relates to the universe. Still, as was with the ancients—even the three wise men who 2,000 years ago followed a star to the Birth of the greatest event in the history of the world—mysteries at the end of a telescope. The philosophers on Mars Hill had never seen a telescope or microscope and knew little of the world's wisdom.

So it is with us, it is like walking into a warehouse stacked with books. We have opened one book, and read one page, as far as our knowledge of the universe is concerned. 95% of all historical-archaeological knowledge is still undiscovered—that is, has not been unearthed. Any man who thinks he is so great needs to look into a microscope and see one cell of microbiology which can easily kill in a matter of hours. Only one who has discovered the Creator of the Universe; only one who has discovered Jesus Christ, who even in His first miracle at Canaan of Galilee, turned instantly water into wine (this should be considered by those who think evolution has been such a process of time).

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters." The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. (Psalm 2:1-4)

Obscurities

On the islands of the South Pacific, in Asia, on many church buildings, you will see a sign which indicates it is a Mormon edifice or a Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. These areas have been subjected to missionaries from these denominations. Once, in the Cameroons, Africa, my vehicle passed a brush covered edifice, a sign by the road said “Sweet Home Baptist Church”. I said, “Stop the car! I want a picture of the only Baptist church I have ever seen outside the United States.”

A member of SBC for so many years, I was well aware of how much money Baptists had given to the cooperative program and to Baptist missions. With so much money given to God's work, I wonder what men have done with it? In Kenya, Africa, I came upon a group putting the top onto a Methodist Church who told me they were about to finish their house of worship. A young missionary was assisting.

At lunch with him, he discussed his life, his calling, and I will never forget his words, “I have learned much in Africa, but I am pretty enough, ambitious enough, articulate enough, talented in music enough and know enough that I can go back to America and become an evangelistic success.” He later said, “One might as well scam for Jesus. If people will line streets in England to cry and clap over an old, ugly lady riding in a carriage drawn by horses, who will shell out millions each year to support she and her family in a lifestyle beyond compare; if thousands will gather in a theatre to clap and praise for a small, disfigured, queer, black boy, Michael Jackson, who lives a lifestyle beyond compare; if thousands will go to an arena and watch young, black and white millionaires bounce a round ball up and down a court, and this is all they are able to do in their life, and have a lifestyle beyond compare; then I KNOW I can return to America, get on the evangelism circuit (television) and be as successful as the young, gay preacher, Jimmy Baker and his ugly wife, Joel Osteen and his ugly wife, Oral Roberts and his ugly family, Pat Robertson and his ugly family, Paul Crouch and his ugly family. All with wealth and lifestyles gained by faking love for Jesus, love for their fellow man and their willingness to bring the troubles and sicknesses of others to God for a price. I know I can be successful in the greatest scam ever perpetuated since Judas.” It was not many years later, that I witnessed his performance on CBN, the Crouch Show, with the painted wife and gold grand piano. Him singing and performing, supposedly, to the Glory of God.

After the year 1535, when the Church of England broke away from the Catholic Church, just after the first African slaves reached Portugal, morality has been in decline. The Pilgrims, real Christian believers, finally escaped the counterfeit, make-believe, religiosity of England. They came to America just seeking religious freedom and opportunity. Slowly but surely, Europe is gone (more caskets than cradles, more mosques than churches) and, slowly but surely, America is on its way down. The blacks, the academics, the bureaucrats, all under the liberal tent of the Democratic Party who sought darkness rather than light, has brought our blessed heritage from the altar of faith and freedom to the sewer of despair and deception.

It has been the same old battle between light and darkness, truth and error, the absolutes of right and wrong. Instead of the Church changing the world, here and elsewhere, the world has changed the Church because even the born again believer wants the world and the things of the world.

In medical research, it has been found that the rat genome is within about 5 percentage points difference from the human genome. Those of us reared on a farm have seen the barn cat, after catching a mouse, tease and pester the mouse for quite awhile before eating. The cat had learned that the mouse is much tastier after the neurological fright, stress and aggravation of such testing. We humans have learned that our testing is not to be compared to the blessing of our full obedience, to the Creator of both man, the mouse and the cat (Romans 12:1-2).

Most Americans, even churchgoing Americans, are much more concerned with conforming to the world and are much more interested in the preposterous, obscurities and stupidities of the world than they are of their life here on earth or their life after they depart this realm of sordid dysfunction. The President should take no satisfaction in the fact that a couple can get close to him, with all the hugging and smiling going on, in the richest house in the world. Mr. Tiger Woods should take no satisfaction in the fact that although he can be the highest paid athlete in history, can be the idol of young people around the world, his wife is still as effective with a golf club as he, himself.

But, Americans are much more interested in these obscurities than they are in being enslaved by a monster health care system, by a monster Cap and Trade system, by terrorism building up around the world with weapons which can easily wipe out the world. Over 50 years ago when I was getting my military indoctrination as a medical officer with some rank, I was shown a bottle of poison. The scientist said, “One drop of this nerve gas would kill everyone in a large theater.” To the uninitiated, everything is obscure. Astronauts travel through space at 14,000 mph. You are destined one day, you don't know what day, to leave the unpredictable harassment of this Earth's relativity adventure into the hallowed realms of heaven or the horrendous vacuum of hell. This thinking, this attitude, is not as obscure as you might wish. Mark Belakovsky of the Russian Space Program, the ancient writings of Nostradamus, nor the Mayan calendar predicting world's end in 2012, will have nothing to do with your eternal welfare. “Only what's done for Christ, His Holy Spirit in your life, will last.”

Vacation Time

“When I Take My Vacation in Heaven”

When I take my vacation in heaven,
What a wonderful time that will be.
Hear the concert of the heavenly chorus;
And the face of my savior I’ll see.
Sitting down on the bank of the river,
Beneath the shade of the evergreen tree.
When I take my vacation in heaven,
Won’t you spend your vacation with me?

My Godly parents always went to bed early, and arose early. I can still hear my father singing the song above, “When I Take My Vacation in Heaven” as he was working around the farm, early in the morning, with the two large collie dogs barking and sounds and smells of my mother's activities in the kitchen. They never knew vacation time here on earth; but are certainly enjoying such now. There are two words which I can barely stand to hear, retirement and vacation. Just be glad you are able to work every day and as long as possible. A former president of Wheaton College, died at the lectern while addressing an entering class of Wheaton students. Many preachers die in the pulpit. A friend, a medical doctor, died with his hands taking the pulse of a patient. I was called to the room of a woman traveling in Paris. Her distraught husband said she got in bed, pulled up the covers and that was it. They, having experienced a long colorful life, I said to him, “Be thankful. This is the way we would all like to go.” Every time one of my cousins calls me, he reminds me of what I have told him many times. I have too much curiosity to die. I want to see what will happen to this crazy world.

Almost without our knowing it, a shadow world government has immersed in my lifetime, which has more influence in world politics than the United Nations, or any other one country or group of countries, (NATO). This group of about 130 of the most powerful and wealthiest people of the world, must know something that the rest of us do not know; because with their elitist ideology of eugenics and “one-world government” as promoted by President George H. W. Bush. Though the idea of a “one world order” has been proposed for many years, the words were first heard in an address to congress by President George H. W. Bush in 1991. The Bush family, one of America's most powerful and wealthiest families have been members of the Bilderberger Group, since it's inception. In 1954, a group of 50 delegates from 11 countries in Europe and 11 Americans attended the first conference in the Hotel del Bilderberg in the Netherlands. The 2009 Conference was held in Athens, Greece. The 2008 Conference was held in Virginia, United States. The 2007 Conference was held in Istanbul, Turkey. Ontario, Canada was the meeting place for the 2006 Conference.

The Bilderberger group is a an octopus with tentacles, the world's most elitest, powerful, individuals representing all facets of power and money, Queen of the Netherlands, Henry Kissinger, George H. W. Bush, Walter Bedell Smith, etc. There are several Christians in this elitest fraternity who actually believe that it is the beginning of the group that will support the anti-Christ. This is difficult to believe when you consider the amount of money the Bilderbergers spent in Indonesia leading to the riots in 1998 where thousands were killed, or the intrigue of Somalia where thousands have been killed. Of course, they actually are convinced that the world's population must be reduced. Considering the Jews who are in the group, it is hard to understand their support of Muslim dictators, which accounts for their support of the war in Iraq. The double dipping that takes place in so many embassies, where embassy officials are paid both by the American State Department and the Bilderbergers obtaining information. It even extends to finding support from the well political placed attendees at Governor's prayer breakfasts. There are even “prayer cells” located in countries and in different religions. It is thought that a prayer cell supports the aspirations of Mrs. Clinton. These people do not need money, they have all the money. Their main interest in their shadow government processes is power, the power to pick national rulers and to set the course of the ship of state for every country involved. This group does not need vacation time. Their life and the lives of their friends have been just one long vacation. For onlookers, those observing the action and activities of this, the world's most prestigious power brokers. The enslaved, those of us who get up everyday and work for a living in order to pay the excruciating taxes, the tourist industries of the world should just go ahead and close down, because the average world worker will no longer be able to afford a vacation.

For the rich and famous, the New Mexico dessert is being developed into their playground, (runways already completed) enticing those interested in space travel. RocketPlane Global, based in Oklahoma City, is also making a bigger push in the space tourism business. The company said Friday that it has re-engineered the design of its suborbital rocket, the Rocketplane XP, so it can be used to fly more tourists into suborbit. The plane now seats five passengers in an interior fashioned by renowned industrial designer Frank Nuovo, who's designed for companies such as BMW and Nokia. Teachers in Space, a nonprofit project of the Space Frontier Foundation and the U.S. Rocket Academy, also said it will begin recruiting teachers to become astronauts and fly in space. The teachers will travel to space on flights donated by suborbital companies like RocketPlane so they can develop training programs for more teachers to follow. Other vacation ideas pertaining to space and the New Mexico desert involves the Rocket Racing League, sort of a Nascar for rockets, or Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic that will provide suborbital commercial flights for $200,000 a seat.

Millions like to hear someone like Rush Limbaugh talk about the life of the rich and famous. his private jet, his hob-knobbing with famous people on the golf course. There has always been the haves and the have-nots; but a depression has a way of keeping everyone to a limited sensation. Just this morning, one friend told me of how her son's entire portfolio of $250,000 had been lost in this market crash.

I lived through the Great Depression one time. One of my earliest memories is the funeral of a great aunt who had stood in line at the bank, all day while trying to get her money out (only $200 equivalent to $200,000 today). Sick and oppressed, she just went home and died, before the bank took her farm. The most cynical statement I ever heard from a politician,
“We want people to go to church, to take holidays, to take vacations. Then, they don't object as much to paying taxes, because the only power, the government and politicians have, is the ability to tax people.

Enjoy your vacation.
