Nakedness

#1767

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20)

The older I get the less I understand WHY, with only one life to live the way sane people will let their body go, knowing full well that what they put in their throat, their nutrition, determines their health... even their ability to fight disease. Incrementally, in my lifetime everything just gets worst. When I was a student, 70 years ago, cancer and diabetes were rare diseases. Today one half of the population have cancer and almost the same percentage have diabetes.

This world traveler can tell you, without fear of contradiction, that there is only one nation in the world with so many obese-overweight people. Americans have a love affair with food, one in ten Americans say they spend 300$ a week on food.

In one of my office buildings, one group of psychologists, fourteen rooms, a group specializing in eating disorders. When I was in practice, a patient talking to me about going on a diet, I would say, "There is only one effective diet. You must start eating each meal each day, for one week, with four other fat people. All of you eating your meal naked." There is nothing as ugly as a naked-flabby-fat individual. This is the reason clothing is so important, but I want to speak about nakedness.

The earliest report of nakedness is found in scripture, when Moses and the three million children of Israel arrived at Mt. Sinai. Moses went up the mountain to converse with God, to receive the commandments. When he came down the mountain, those he had rescued from Egyptian bondage, were dancing around a gold calf naked.

Nakedness has always been associated with sin, in every dark "strip joint," you will find nudity, even some beaches on haven islands. When this writer arrived on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, I put on my swimming trunks and went down to the hotel swimming pool. Everyone around the pool, except me, was naked. It is when you see nude ugly people, you'll appreciate clothing.

I was sitting on the front porch of my beach house, on the ocean, with friends... one lady said to me, "Tom, I'm glad you cant see. There is a young girl in a bikini coming down the street and she seems to be eight months pregnant." Just the thought of such a sight, the thought of the disrespect to others at the beach, young children, her baby, I went into my house and vomited into my kitchen sink.

And yet, our not thinking-concerned-committed church goers, even Christians, even in America... not showing the nakedness of themselves in their unconcern for what is happening to our nation... to the world.

Think of the unequivocal evil, the burning alive of a Jordanian pilot in a cage, in Syria. Closer to home, think of the evil involved in planned parent hood, "chopped up" innocent babies... selling tissue and body parts.

My seminary professors son told me that recently he was asked to speak at a large Texas church, located in a county seat. He said the church, which would seat hundreds, only had a small plump of about 20 people there just on one side of the building. Their church had died and these remaining old members did not seem to realize it, unconcerned that there was no young people in the church. Unconcerned about the great commission. In Shakespeare's "Hamlet"... "to thine own self be true." (Act 1) Generally speaking, everyday of my life, we lose ground. Only about ten percent of the population are interested in changing things: most of us hiding behind a shell of deceit, not even realizing the controls media, government, political correction, envy for popularity and acceptance, has on our life.

We know about corruption, we just want to blame the wrong corrupter. "Ye that love the LORD, hate evil." (Psalm 97:10)

Garbage Dump

Garbage Dump

When will we learn that we are just squatters in God's territory even those of us chosen by Him? Those he chose, elected, predestinated, are still sinners and must be forgiven. He purposed us for a reason. Knowing this, those of us who are His should realize that everything we see, hear, take into our body, gives to the world a version of what we are. Why not be the best version of self? It is impossible to erase the junk of pornography, the junk of tasteless-stupid television, the junk of foolish sounds, the junk of synthetic-chemical polluted food. I still remember until this very day, and it was at least 65 years ago, the first pornography I ever saw, a "dirty" magazine shown to young boys by a school bus mechanic. The demons which attacked me 25 years ago (Eph 6) would lose some teeth today because I am much tougher now. Plus, I have learned to put on the whole armor of God (Eph 6) and stand, digging in, not yielding one inch, and certainly not turning my back because the "whole armor of God does not cover the back."

In my lifetime, the world has been turned upside down. Evil has become good, good, evil. 81 times in the book of Proverbs, alone, the word wicked is called evil. I listen to the democrat convention, clapping-laughing at evil. A former President of the United States, of all people, pervert, adulterer, impeached, a real hero to street people, people in prison, welfare dependant, the takers of the world. Blacks, who abort 52% of their babies, drop outs, numbering 50% of the population who live off the hard work of the other 50%. not caring about their bodies-health-or anything else. Health character is like Christian character, a minute by minute, everyday lifestyle. Christianity is not complicated, just tough. Good health is not complicated, just tough, requiring discipline.

Everything is upside down, much like the pyramid of entitlements. When social security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs started, there was a large number at the base paying into support the small number at the top. Today, the pyramid is upside down, small number at the bottom, scrounging to support the huge number at the top. Because of lifestyle, eating habits, in 1908, 1 of 33 citizens with cancer, 1985, 1 of 3 citizens with cancer, today, 1 of 2 citizens with cancer and in 2020, every person will have cancer.

Those of us born on dirt roads, no power, telephone or waterlines, struggled through the lower grades AND college, step by step, military and professional careers.

If only this writer could have gone to college (in my case 8 years of professional education) without having to work my way through, worrying about survival. If only I could have married without having to worry about "keeping up with the Jones,'" getting ahead and staying ahead. If only I could have lived without being disabled, blind, attempting to prepare some food without burning the house down, wearing something completely bizarre, and keeping helpers from stealing everything in sight.

We live in a time of addiction, human weakness to evil. Law enforcement does not have time for absolutes because they are so busy with trauma. There is an absolute unconcern in the healthcare community about prevention because Big Pharma pays too well for drugs and surgery.

Take the time, study carefully, the perverse profane neo-pagan culture in which we find ourselves. In the White House, the school house, court house, church house, imposters, a charade. The preacher is afraid he will offend someone, sophisticated, powdered and perfumed, padded pew-air conditioned comfort, depending on not losing any money from the congregation. Our entire political system built around money. Parents who want their children to have an education must pay for a private school or home school, themselves.

The sob sisters at the court house, more concern for the criminal than the victim, has shown that the government can get by with anything, that the general public will ACCEPT anything after the nonsense of the burning alive of women and children at Waco, the destroying of children in the Murrah building (Oklahoma City) and the 2,980 deaths, 9/11, when 118 witnesses heard explosions inside the towers and indeed, one building number 8, just up and fell hours after the others, not hit by anything.......ALL CONTROLLED DEMOLITION.

How many false flags, how deep must American patriots sink into the dumpster before they realize what is happening to their country?

One man had a maddening dream, books full of his sins, alphabetically organized, and then as he sat looking through the books, Jesus appeared on the scene. Embarrassed, humiliated, he thought, how can I escape His contempt? But, then, Jesus went through every book, every page, and wrote "forgiven."

Garbage Dump

This morning I ordered myself a new paper shredder. I shred my ton (each American citizen “produces” ~1 ton of garbage each year) of paper waste (credit cards, advertisements, etc.), all unsolicited material, which comes in my mailbox every day. I can use this shredded material for packing the products which I sell in my business. The time has come when everyone must start thinking about garbage and the effect of garbage on our country.

The most famous example of garbage disposal is the barge from Manhattan Island which traveled 6000 miles to Belize, South America, and after 8 international refusals, was finally incinerated back in Manhattan, where it departed. The 400 million tonnes of garbage produced by Americans each year is mostly buried in landfills, some of it is incinerated. This does not include the many backyard “burn barrels” and other ways of eliminating garbage like compost piles and private landfills.

From one who has traveled the world, I can tell you that in spite of our many shortcomings, we do a better job with waste than most countries, particularly third world nations such those as in Africa. The most disgusting site in a country is garbage lining otherwise-beautiful thoroughfares. Some rivers are so full of garbage that they can be set on fire! So many people think that rivers and oceans, on their own, dispose of garbage. It is predicted that most of the world's marine life will be eliminated because of waste in the ocean...mostly plastic, which can never be eliminated from the ocean.

Plastic simply does not decompose. I challenge you to do this research: bury a plastic cup in your backyard. It will be there forever, ready for use (after being washed). Most pottery, glass or metal will eventually decompose; not so with plastic. Bury a body in a casket of cardboard, wood, or metal and these caskets will eventually decompose, go back to the earth. Bury someone in a plastic garbage bag, and it will never decompose. The funeral homes have discovered this, and this is why so many expensive caskets are rented for just a few days. The casket is taken back to the funeral home and the body is left in plastic, particularly if there is reason to believe the family will not pay the costs.

The chemicals for plastics were developed mid-19th century. The useful plastics such as Nylon, Bakelite, PVC were developed in the first half of the 20th century. I well remember the earliest plastics, the so-called “wax paper”. Today, nearly every human utensil, every expendable is made from cheap plastic (toothbrushes, razors, kitchenware, construction/lawn products of every type) and we find these plastics in the bellies of most sea creatures, as well as other animals. Today, most of the materials used in our life, whether a toothbrush or your vehicle, are made of some form of plastic along with the bags used to dispose of it.

Because “Big Pharma”, “Big Chemical”, “Big Academia” and “Big Government” are all involved in “Big Plastics” and government grants controls the scientific community, nothing will be done about the effects of plastics on the health of the American people. Just the thought that every day, millions of Americans drink hot drinks from plastic cups, buy meats wrapped in plastic—leeching chemicals into their drinks and food, and then into their systems, destroying their health—is enough to cause some concern.

“Concern” is a lost word in most vocabularies. In 1830, it was determined that fluoride was a dangerous chemical to both animal and plant life. Industry was emitting so much fluoride into the air that smoke stacks were built higher. IG Farben, Hitler's chemical war machine, the maker of synthetics that kept his WWII going for 5 years, as with so many other things...determined that fluoride in the water supplies dumbed-down the people under their enslavement.

Some “smart” American scientist decided that fluoride and chloride put in municipal water systems would prevent tooth decay. The questionable research started in the 1940s with the knowledge of Hitler's romance with chemistry. In the 1960s, many of us were concerned about the “rat poisons”, fluoride and chloride, being put in the so-called treatment facilities of municipal water supplies. I remembered how a retired Navy medical officer, Dr. Stenhouse, and myself stood before the politicians questioning the veracity of their actions. Of course, as always, in order to get anything passed, there must be a line of physicians and scientists to approve it. There must always be antagonists such as a Castro, an unpopular politician, an unpopular preacher or Christian activist, held up against such “progress”. After all, everyone wants to prevent tooth decay; even though if you swallow toothpaste containing fluoride, you are advised to take remedial poisoning action.

A barrel of fluoride at the Rock Island water treatment plant was accidentally spilled in the parking lot; it ate away the cement! The tragedy, as in my local city...taking water from a dirty river, in which sewage from many other cities has been poured, treating the water with poison before it goes into your home, the sewage leaving your home being treated with more poison before it is put back in the river.

We know the dangers of cooking in aluminum pots and pans. Do we realize that fluoride is connected with aluminum? The aluminum found in chem trails, the aluminum enclosing us as we travel in a plane, our vehicles, our soft-drink and beer containers, and we wonder why so many people have Alzheimer's and other neurological diseases.

Sickness is not normal. Sickness comes from what we put in our mouth...food and chemicals. Next to fluoride in drinking water is aspartame in soft drinks; there is nothing more deadly to the human body than diet soft drinks. Coca-Cola sold nearly 927 million cases of its diet soda in 2010, eclipsing Pepsi's 892 million. “Oh, but if I drink a diet soda, I will not put on weight!” Why not drink the fluid God put on this earth for you to drink: H2O? Your life depends on your ingestion of oxygen; Ozone, O3, is the most important element for your life.

When I was in school, diabetes and cancer were rare diseases; today both are epidemic, simply because people treat their body (the temple of God) as a garbage dump. Diabetes can be cured with correct diet and exercise. The “Thickburger”, which tastes so good, contains over 1400 calories! For a very long time we have known that fats, sugar and salt are the causes of most sickness. In my practice, over and over, a patient would come to me with blurred vision. I knew their trouble without asking one question! When you would look in the eyes with the opthalmoscope you could see their diabetic condition. But, they did not want to give up their foods which caused their sickness, they had rather take a pill or a needle and keep on living the way they want to live, enabled by their loving family members.

I would say to my diabetic parents, raised on southern cooking (put it in a frying pan with lard and fry the hell out of it), “you need to leave off salts, fats and sweets.” they like most of my patients would not follow instructions. My father would always say, “I have outlived all my doctors.”... and this was probably true. Their doctors did not care either; if the reception room was not full of patients, who was going to pay for those two Mercedes in the driveway, the expensive home, the expensive wife, expensive children going to expensive schools and colleges? As one of my doctor friends said, “I can look at my appointment book for the day, and tell you how much money I will take home at the end of the day.” Early American families had meal times, no eating between meals. Today, you eat just anytime. On any street, there are many places serving food...stimulation, arousal, activation, rewards.

The same Book which gives us answers to questions about everything else, gives us answers about eating. The Jews actually believed that the body is the temple of God, nothing unclean went into the body. If a mouse went into a pottery dish, since it cannot be sterilized, it must be thrown away. (Leviticus 11:33) There is nothing dirtier than a rodent, with no control of their excretory system, excreting everywhere. As a student, I worked for awhile in the college cafeteria; there were rats everywhere. This sophisticated, scientific, liberal, heathen center of learning...poisoning their students and staff. Much like their counterparts in the public schools, promoting politicians who support abortions...ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:3). Made in the image of God, His chief creation, treated like a garbage disposal.

Golden Escalator

In 1865, my great grandfather, Rev. P.T. Lucas was 10 years old. According to established records, he came from one of the earliest colonial families, his family owned the northern part of one county (Wilson county). He was an outstanding farmer and a minister of the Gospel, until he died in 1912, one of the most exciting times in American History: first telephone, first electric lights, first motor vehicles, first indoor plumbing, first paved roads, proliferation of education opportunities. From the time of my father's birth, 1908, until his death in 1985, some of the great advances in history, technology such as the discovery of DNA, nano-exploits, medical procedures, even men traveling to the moon.

In all these advances, human nature has changed very little. One of my very good friends, an army medical officer, psychiatrist, practiced in an army hospital, his wife, also a psychiatrist, practiced in a nearby town. As he was assigned from army hospital to army hospital, she could always start a practice anywhere, so great is the need for psychiatrists. Like most psychologists and psychiatrists I have known, they were in much worse condition than the patients they were trying to treat.

She was extremely overweight, a total slob, he was the most unkempt military officer I have ever known, just did not care, but as you will find with every individual who practices in these fields, whether you hear on them radio, television or elsewhere, one phrase always dominates, “and that is alright too.” No matter what a person says, or does, it is alright. So, any patient or client, leaves their presence feeling that whatever word or action is acceptable. Most of these people, doctor or patient, honestly feel there is no accountability or responsibility in this world, and they certainly do not believe in the world to come.

As the army psychiatrist told me, “I was born, I get as much enjoyment out of living as possible, this is all there is to it, then I die and I become fertilizer. Some people may have great needs for thoughts of an afterlife, since they have made such a miserable mess of the one in reality, perception is not reality and I have no perception of a heaven or hell.”

I find that people in general, sitting on church pews or not, do not believe in hell, Jesus talked more about hell than heaven. There is more scripture concerning hell than heaven. But I have found in my long life, regardless of what Christians or others may tell you, what they pray or sing about, most, in reality, do not believe in hell. Simple matter, if they did, knowing that God will not allow any sin into His heaven, their lives would be lived differently. I have not met very many people who did not think that they would eventually wind-up in heaven. People do what they do because they believe what they believe. Our entire lives turn on an axis of wanting to believe the best, even though we know about corruption in government, increasing crime, man's expedited downfall, we want to believe that everything is going well...that nothing is really as bad as we know it is, that corruption in government is not as bad as we think, that our education system is not as bad as we are told. We want to think we can eat or drink anything and have it not affect our bodies.

Remember, your doctor is just a highly-paid, well-educated repairman. 300,000 Americans die each year from obesity-related deaths. In a country that throws away 28% of its food...in a world where many would be glad to live from your trash can. Where $6 billion was spent in 1996 on women having their nails done, $50 billion spent each year in America on weight-loss programs. $870 million spent last year just in building new McDonald's arches (golden arches).

From 1799 to 1892, even the Supreme Court declared America a Christian nation. Last year, 2009, $6 billion was spent in America, on video games (I have been around the world 8 times, traveled every continent, 157 of the world's countries, I know what I am talking about), while a large part of the world's population was hungry, 11 weeks after the floods, millions in Pakistan are still underwater. Can one even imagine that today we are bombing mothers and children whose homes are still underwater? And, as just discovered, would a Christian nation send scientists to Guatemala, infect people with a deadly disease, not even treat 341 of the 400 infected? 71 of the 400 infected died.

For many years, from the platform and in print, I have said, “the most important endeavor of a human mind is to learn to read.” I never cease to be amazed that young people, after years in school, cannot read. There are two basic reasons for learning to read: Firstly, you learn to read in order to read the Bible, God's Word, this gives you the lighted path toward eternal life. Secondly, you learn to read in order to take care of your physical body, your physical life. I am convinced, and no one has proven me wrong yet, that a person who can read can learn to care for his body. You know more about your body than anyone else, when a doctor looks at you, or even examines you, he is running through a maze of expecteds, tinged with indifference. If you have any intelligence at all, you know that the doctor's office is interested in just one thing: getting paid. Most of his staff, just keeping a job, it is simply a matter of routines, just going through the motions.

There is enough literature available, when you can read, so that you can educate yourself about healthcare. There is no reason why anyone should be sick, if you educate yourself about what you put in your mouth, if you learn to care for your body, such as stretching your muscles, rest, proper elimination (elimination is as important as addition). It costs to eat healthy, the metabolism of your body, the most phenomenal, magnificent creation of the Creator, depends on nutrition just as much as your automobile depends on gasoline. Food sources have been completely depleted of the soil minerals and other nutrition essentials necessary for health, but there are supplements, herbs, reliably made vitamins, to assist in your health essentials.

Get away from that slop and trash on that useless idol, your television set. If you do not know how to read, there are illiteracy groups which will teach you how to read. In the 21st century, one of the shames of this nation, and particularly the state of North Carolina, the illiteracy rate is as high now as it was 100 years ago. I cannot conceive of professional educators, school board members, passing onto the streets, young people who cannot read or write. When you can read, you can learn how to care for your own body, and the health of your family, everything else is just periphery.

The main reason you must learn to read is the welfare of your eternal life and the welfare of your physical life. This is the golden escalator moving into effective, rewarding living, an abundant life.

Broken Cisterns

“For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.” (Jeremiah 2:13)

In lecturing to military units concerning survival I always started out by saying , “Your canteen is more important than your weapon.” You can live for a while without food and even without your weapon, but you cannot live very long without water. In third world countries, all over the world, I have seen, mostly women, carrying pots of water from some source of water (well, creek, etc) to their home for the survival of their family. To go along with all the other unsanitary conditions of life in these places, the water is usually unsanitary. Many prissy people in this country would not use it for bathing.

At least 3 million children in the world, this very day, have never had a clean, sanitary cup of water to drink. Many so called scientists, think the water molecule is simple, but it is very complex. I live in a city, where most of the potable water is taken from a very polluted river. I boil my drinking water. Inland cities, dump their treated sewage into the river. I am a firm believer that treated or not, the sewage and other contaminates going into the rivers from various streams, have so compromised the river water that even though we are told the water has been cleansed and filtered with chemicals, such as chloride and fluoride, before presented for human consumption, it is not clean. The contaminants of the water have so mitigated the human immune system that we are more susceptible to disease.

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14)

In speaking before Christian groups, I often brought out the fact that almost every country church in Eastern North Carolina always had a well in the front yard. You always knew, that if you found a church, you could find some refreshing water. Some of the very old churches even had a trough where an animal could be watered. It was at a well, and the common need for a cool drink of water, that our Lord encountered a woman who had come at midday to get water. And when He disclosed some things to her about her married life, we are told she ran to the city leaving her pitcher behind to tell others of this marvelous person who has assured all of us, that if we drink of the pure water of his redemption, we will never thirst again.

People do what they do, because they believe what they believe. Most do not want to believe in purity, they desire the contaminated life, they desire water from a broken cistern. Even in this time of a media promoted swine flu epidemic, we learn that the border guards are not allowed to use face masks. The H1N1 virus certainly is not controlled by face masks or even hand washing, but everyone should use some common sense about this virus or any other germ. I have said a thousand times in public that I am amazed that most young people turn out as well as they do considering the sins to which they are exposed. I would further say that I am amazed that most of us are as healthy as we are considering the microbiology (germs, bacteria) to which we are exposed.

I was talking with an internist this very morning who has just returned from a medical specialist meeting and he said, “So many people are interested in a prevention.” We should be interested in preventing everything involving our health. (heart attack, cancer, stroke, claims most lives brought on by incorrect eating, diabolical living) We should be interested in everything involved in protecting our country, what other nation will rescue us? (Our surge toward Marxist socialism, our surge to absolute bankruptcy) We should be interested in our eternal destination (Our churches, pulpits, have become cauldrons of doubt, disbelief, depravity). We should become interested in our daily intellectual pursuits (Eliminate the idol of TV with its trash, deceit, mediocrity).

We are blessed with one life to live, those of us who have survived the abortionist, disease and assassins of bad behavior. This is not a dress rehearsal, some of you may believe you will be reincarnated as a cat, a dog or even Napoleon. Some believe that the grave is the end of the road, that you just become fertilizer. I have good news, just as pure water is good for you, the creator of the universe gave His only “begotten Son”, His most precious possession, to give you the gift of eternal life, a ransom for all who want the truth and who believe in the truth.

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (2 Timothy 4:12)

Hindsight, Still 20/20

This past weekend, two of my friends were buried. One, from my youth, a wonderful memory, a Sunday School teacher. Another, wife of a friend, a pastor's wife. The mortality rate is still 100%. Ride down any highway and look at the cemeteries with the grave markers, every hospital, every funeral home, all are a reminder that we all will die. For many years, I owned a co-op apartment in Manhattan (a co-op apt is a large building where the owners own their own apartment and pay a fee each month for common maintenance, door men, etc.). Mine was on trendy Beekman Place, on the East Side river. Executives from two of the largest television corporations lived there.

Walking out the front door one morning a lady, who lived in the apartment across from me, was leaving at the same time. Her husband, one of New York's best known actors, had invited me to a reception in their apartment some time ago...mostly United Nations people...when he was already in a wheelchair. I said to her, “How is Will doing?” She said, “He died one year ago.” We stood on the front walk and talked for awhile. She told me he died two days after he was taken to a nursing home (the usual stay in a nursing home is just a few months). She said, “Before I could even go out and visit him, they called me and told me he was dead. I called a local cremation society and they did the rest...I never saw him again. I wrote notes to his family and friends and told them he had left the theater, final curtain.”

At Seven Springs, NC, the wife of a local landowner died. The neighbors began to take in the fried chicken and potato salad but could not find out anything about when her very peculiar husband was having the funeral. The third day, as they were taking in the cakes, pies, chicken, he said, “The boys and I took her up to the Methodist church cemetery this morning and buried her.”

In the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, when there is a death, white flags fly on poles high above the house. In India, those close enough to the Ganges, cremate the body on the banks of the holy Ganges River.

I am convinced that eventually, with the sanitizing of death (death is almost an embarrassment to most families), little attention at all will be paid by a family when someone dies. The 52 million innocent babies killed since 1973, 37 years ago, is a testimony to the fact that, in the new health care reforms, the expense of old age, the most rapid growing segment of the population...those over 85...our families and neighbors will be anxious to dispose of us early and quickly. If these 52 million babies had been permitted to live, they would be paying taxes, they would be the doctors and nurses caring for elderly. One of my secretaries was spending some time sitting with a disabled lady here in town. She died unexpectedly and Marie called the lady's daughter and told her that her mother had just died. The daughter said, “I don't have time to go now, see if you can get in touch with my brother.”

Old Testament, Abraham (name means father of a great multitude) was fortunate enough to have Eliezer, his full-time devoted servant. Abraham valued him enough to send him to find a wife for his son, Isaac (the son of Abraham and Sarah). I visited the tombs of Abraham and Sarah in Hebron. I cannot help but feel that Eliezer was probably responsible for their burial. Fortunate, any more, is the man who has someone interested enough in him to take care of his burial, his estate, his final days. I have said all this in order to make it clear that life is short and you had better live everyday as fully as possible. Old age is not for sissies.

You have only one body, one soul, one life. The body does not function the way it is written in books. Learn to care for your health as I am convinced that just as many people die from overeating as from starvation. Previously, I have written about old doctors I have known who use food as medicine. If one eats correctly, exercises, has a rich spiritual life, there is no reason for illness. The very worse thing you can do is put these toxic, exotic chemicals in your gullet as medication.

I learned early with patients that they do not think they have been treated, helped, unless you charge them a large amount of money for their visit and unless they can spend much more money for medicine...or any type care. My first experience with this, even though some old doctors had warned me, was my cousin Louise Edgerton. Forty years a public school teacher, on board of trustees of a Christian college, musician, business woman, a marvelous person in every respect, brought her mother to me as a patient. I told her that her glasses did not need changing...that she would just be spending money for little or no help...that she should be careful about her diet which was affecting her vision more than anything else. Of course, as happened many times after that with other people, instead of thanking me for them not spending much money, and me not charging them for valuable advice, they went directly to another doctor who “massaged” their pocketbook well, and made them feel much better even though they got no help whatsoever.

In the past 50 years, as a totally blind citizen, every time I go to a practitioner's office, I asked my driver the same question, “How many are here, how old are they?” Always the same answer. Most small offices have now been enlarged to auditoriums to take care of the crowd...of old people...there because they have nothing else to do and because insurance and Medicare is paying the bill. If you think it is bad in most offices now, just wait until EVERYONE can go at government expense. It is so obvious on radio and television talk shows when a specialist is being interviewed, every call, “Will my insurance pay for it?” People do not want to get well enough to pay for it themselves, they want the government, their insurance, to pay for their needs so they can spend their own funds to pay for their greed and, with all the intelligence at universities, medical and nursing schools, public health investigations, evidently I am the only one who sees the problem (a totally blind doctor). “Where [there is] no vision, the people perish:” (Proverbs 29:18).

Each of us, each individual, special, your own DNA, your own fingerprints, his workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). No one else in the world like you, God put you here for a purpose, your life is precious in His sight. You are only as effective as your health...you are what you eat...raw food, nutritious proteins, carbohydrates, limited fats and sweets. Learn to use common sense in your lifestyle, read and learn about your body, don't treat your children with adult medications and make sure some stupid doctor does not give you a full dosage if you are not heavy. Most are so busy in their “assembly line” care, just moving as rapidly as possible from one little room to another...you are lucky these days if a doctor or nurse even makes skin contact with you...remember they are only interested in laboratory findings. I had rather have an old doctor with a stethoscope examine me than all the laboratory and radiology results. Any doctor who is going to cut on me, I want him to be so old that he can barely hold the knife. You see, I remember how little I knew when I started out. The old practitioners have been there before, “done that”.

Every day of my life, I think, “If I had only had the foresight to buy such a security, buy such a piece of land, make such an investment.” Hindsight , Still 20/20. Believe me when I tell you, that the very One who designed you, who put you here for a purpose, will still advise you on everything you do, including your investments, your social contacts, your relationships, even your vote in the voting booth. No Christian, no person with morality would be guided by God to vote for such despicable people as those who promote a culture of death.
