Self Enslavement

Today is the beginning weekend of the 64th annual North Carolina Azalea Festival. This is the time in the Tarheel state, when thousands up and down the eastern seaboard come to this port city for the celebration of beauty: azaleas, dogwoods, flowers. Beauty given to all those who have eyesight, an opportunity for the wealthy in the community to have lavish parties, an opportunity for the poor of the community to stand in the streets and watch limousines go by transporting the rich and famous.

John Lennon, one of the famous Beatles said, “life is what happens when you are busy making other plans.” Many of my neighbors here make plans for this extravagance the entire year.

Last week, they buried one of the world's most famous actresses, Elizabeth Taylor. She had seven husbands, beauty, children, fame and wealth beyond compare. She left instructions that at her funeral, the casket would be brought in 15 minutes after the service had started, she always wanted to “fashionably late”. Much younger, much more naive, in the spirit of worldly activities and especially with a wife, I had to learn to be fashionably late because I had been reared on the farm where everything you did, the earlier the better. In the military, everything was early; in my eight years of university education, you learned to be on time. Lateness, improvising we both worldly lessons.

In my climb up the ladder of success, I owned a very nice pied-a'-terre (a home away from home) on the most prestigious street in Manhattan. It was a wonderful launching pad for my trips around the world, socializing with United Nations officials. When the co-op apartment was sold, I left my home in North Carolina and went to New York to sign the necessary papers. In the lawyer's office, there was just the female buyer and her father who was going to give me a check for the apartment. The very attractive young women said, “this is another gift to me from my father. When I graduated from the university I told my parents I was moving to the Big Apple for the two “l”s: labels and love. I love nice labels, big stores, big designers. I have not found the big love, but I am looking for the designer husband. I want to have designer children and a designer home, so I can spend my life with only the finest. Dr. Morris, I love what the world has to offer, and I don't need to be bothered by mediocrity.” I felt her gaze because I knew she considered me mediocre, inferior. Anyways, all I was there for was to get a nice check.

It does not take long to become self-enslaved and even less time to recognize who is self-enslaved: enslaved to the values of the world, enslaved to satanic forces of evil, enslaved in a desperate attempt to keep up with money and things. We are so eager to believe lies, lies told by the world. I have often said to the liberals, those in maddening lock-step to destroy all the basic values of the world: when the world, when the government has lied to you so much, how can you believe anything they tell you?

Just this morning, on one national news broadcast: “there are many dead dolphins, already counting 400, in the Gulf of Mexico. It is not known if the BP oil spill had anything to do with their death.” (Can you believe such nonsense on the air? Of course the oil spill killed the marine life!) “In Libya, the protestors are having difficulty fighting Gaddafi's forces.” (Of course they are having difficulty fighting Gaddafi's armed forces, there is gun control in these police states. Just imagine a group of disgruntled citizens, tired of corruption, tired of enslavement, from the outskirts of your city, weaponless, taking on the government- controlled law enforcement of any municipality or state...people with no military training, no methods or weapons for fighting, none of the supply lines, etc. to stay in the fight.) “The best way for old people to have a long life is to be a retail shopper, it has been found that those who shop daily, live longer.” (Can you imagine such ludicrous news? Of course old people who have the energy to go into stores, fighting the traffic to get there and fighting the traffic when there, having the money to buy, having the eye sight, hearing, mobility to get around will most assuredly outlive those who do not have these assets.)

Most of us love flattery, the best sound on earth is your own name. Most women and some men thrive on the latest fashions, slick magazines telling you what you need in designer everything, latest clothes, latest phrases, latest gourmet. Even at the church, and most “nice people” do belong to a church, just a sprinkling of religion...sophisticated preacher, sophisticated instruments and choir, absolutely, absolutely nothing about sin's ruin and redemption through Jesus Christ. “What do you think I am, a fanatic?” Real faith, real worship, a real evangelical experience belongs to the “holy rollers”. Who wants to be enslaved by a commitment to a transformed life of new creation, rebirth by salvation through Jesus Christ? (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Parents' ultimate responsibility is the passing on of your belief system to your children. Satan can hardly wait to exact his magic on them, just as soon as he can get hold of them, certainly when they leave home for college. Satan wants your children, and once Satan has enslaved them, your chances of ever retrieving them from the morass of the world's value system is remote. The average Christian home, the average Christian church, the average Christian college is not easily recognized by the Christian or non-Christian as being different. It is time to start thinking about our value system, our enslavement to the world.

There are 35 million people living in Tokyo, Japan area, they are some of the world's most strategic planners and gainers of the world's value system. They love labels, big spending, big natural desires, most are eternally lost, having yielded to the world's value system. Most know nothing of God or Jesus Christ. The largest earthquake recorded has already hit close to this city, another is due for the city, just as a great earthquake is due for northwest America. In the final analysis, at the end of the road, individually or collectively, with these seismic events, which enslavement is more important, the world values or God's redemption? Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Two Women On A Cake

Homosexuality, was, and still is, the strangest mystery, polemic mantra, visited on my thinking. Physically, spiritually, psychologically, its extremities are beyond compare. I first encountered this deviance from the normal as a young, impressionable college student at the Cabala of liberalism and atheism in North Carolina, Chapel Hill. I honestly did not know what they were talking about, nor do I believe that my ancestors before me could ever be convinced that the time would come in this nation, founded on Christian principles, that news broadcasts and even polite conversations in the church house, school house, courthouse would center on same-sex marriage and the rapid rise of homosexual activity, a “gay agenda”.

The first time I heard of a same-sex marriage was right here in the town where I reside. St. Thomas Hall is a former Episcopal church, restored for civic activities. An educator friend from the university, told me he went to a wedding at St. Thomas. He said, “I would like to have seen the expression on your face, if you were there, as I told you what was going on. It was an assemblage of all the queers and rears of the area. Liberals, communists, perverts. Two female nurses from the hospital were wed. One was dressed in a white evening gown, the other in a black tuxedo. It was a wild foray into the exotic quasi-land of unbelief and disbelief. I now know what it is like to see centuries of civilization 'gone with the wind.' At the reception, there were gifts for the couple, a wedding cake with two women on top.”

The thing that bothers me most about this abomination is that the world, the flesh, the devil has swept up the church with it. You could never have convinced the prophets and evangelists of old that people who profess to know God, could climb so quickly into the cavern of disbelief along with Satan, the purveyor of deception and lies. Such reformers as Jehu of the Old Testament, Martin Luther of more recent times, would never be convinced that Sodom could become so extensive, that some denominations (Episcopal, Lutheran, Unitarian, etc.) would actually license such as preachers, pastors and even bishops. For instance, the Episcopal church has many lesbian bishops.

An entire alchemy is being formulated in the Catholic church to accommodate refugee members of the Anglican and Episcopal churches seeking to escape deception and find refuge in Catholicism. There are more Anglicans in Africa than the rest of the world combined. These “Christians” want no part of this heresy. How anyone with enough education to read can jump into the stew pot, concocted by such liberal neophiles and still read the inspired words of Paul in the New Testament, the law of the Old Testament, is beyond comprehension.

You cannot prop up something not-of-God, even if you call it love. We have found, to our sorrow, that most Christians are just “marshmallows”, they know nothing about the wrath of God, that God's Wrath was dispensed on His Only Son once and for all. The church representing Christ will certainly know the Wrath of God for participating in this debacle. God is very jealous as He protects the adequacy of His Son's dying for all, His death of atonement, the adequacy of the wrath dispensed on Him. I do not believe that most of these people have any idea about the Lord's table, His stripes for our healing, His Blood for our forgiveness. We are made worthy by Jesus Christ's Blood sacrifice. It must be a stench in God's nostrils to see the flaunting of His most sacred Creation, man and woman, the reproductive path for His chief creation, human life. Shame, shame, shame on imposters, pretenders, who make a mockery of the Christian church, the Christian family.

I have spent most of my life studying and traveling the world. God wanted me to see what the entire world is like, the depravity of nations not committed to Him. He wanted me to see the Hindu monkey temples. The dzongs and stupas of Asia, the mosques and temples of Islamic nations, the barren assembly halls of Godless, communist nations. He wanted me to see the brush arbors of Africans who have been converted to Christ. In every continent, poverty-stricken or areas of wealth, those who claim the name of Christ are prosperous. Wealth pursued Abraham (Abraham, the richest man in the world at his time), because he kept God's law, and so it has been throughout the history of man. Defy God and take the consequences.

100 new restaurants open in New York City every day, 100 restaurants close in New York City every day...tried and failed. As one real estate broker said to me one time when he was trying to sell me a restaurant building, “every prospective restauranteur thinks he has the magic answer.” Socialism has failed every place it has been tried, yet we have those who want to enforce it again on the rest of us. Central planning, in government, has never worked. Obama's healthcare will fit right into his pocket. Democrats believe that the truth, wisdom and goodness of Obama will supersede good sense. Like Obama's patronizing the homosexual community, the “politically incorrect guide to socialism”, and the gay agenda, would lead us on the fast track to disaster. Americans are still paying tax on the cost of the Spanish/American war. Few realize what the political correctness fed to us through state-controlled news media will cost due to socialism and the gay agenda.

Remember, there are no tears at Walmart when small businesses close. Big business has always been the enemy of small business, and small businesses have always been the enemy of big business. Ludicrous regulations, taxation do not bother big business. There is unholy alliance between government and big business. It will bother some Americans to get away from the idol worship of the television set, the internet, and think about what is happening to their civilization, their country, their church. God is displeased with idol worship more than anything else. You hang your body on the truth of the greatest sacrifice known to the body of man, your redemption provided for you, and then your relationship with your republic, the most blessed nation on earth.

If I Were Satan

Jonathan Edwards was probably America's greatest preacher. He entered Yale University at the age of 14 and graduated with honors at the age of 17. He was probably America's greatest intellectual, credited as the backbone of the Great Awakening which started around 1730, his greatest sermon, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” was delivered in 1741. Edwards was not an articulate speaker, a pulpiteer, he read the sermon close to his face because all he had was candlelight. The sermon had such a great effect on the audience that they actually felt they were hanging over the fires of hell by a spider's web. He died from a smallpox inoculation just before he was to become president of Princeton University, he was the grandfather of Aaron Burr.

American history has been molded through the influence of great preachers, preachers not influenced and controlled by the waves and wiles of the world. I have been fortunate enough to have heard, in person, some of these great preachers: R.G. Lee, George Truett, Donald Grey Barnhouse, Charles E. Fuller, most of today's preachers are just assassins of the doctrine “once delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3) such as Rick Warren, who like Oprah gives the same answers about his ministry, “we go as humanitarians.” We are warned about these churches, Laodicea, lukewarm, Sardis, morgue with a steeple. The old preachers such as Edwards, D.L. Moody, spoke of what would happen with a profane civilization, agnostic churches. America has become a profane nation.

Judgment begins at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17), most young people, raised in the church leave because the church has lost its gravitas on their life, holiness and obedience in worship. Many young people are attracted to the modernistic assembly because there is little difference in the music of the discotheque to that of the so-called megachurch, drama and drums. Many young people like the casual dress, the fact that in modern church music, you never hear the name of Jesus, Grace or doctrine.

If I were Satan, I would destroy the church because it has been the center of American spiritual devotion, physical and political activity. Most seminaries are tainted with denominationalism, young men and women more interested in the package than the promise. The articulate moderation, politically correct “pal in the sky” (quote from one modernist preacher) polite verbiage, certainly not to wishing to offend, especially those with deep pockets, inclusive, sincerely right, whether Islamist, Buddhist, Unitarian, as one fits all, cloak of kindness. God certainly would not send anyone sincerely wrong, sincerely politically correct, sincerely taking care of the needs of the world, sincerely loving everyone, to hell. If I were Satan, I could convince everyone just to be good, nice, the Beatles philosophy, “all you need is love”.

If I were Satan, I would never mention Jesus, I would never speak as if I were looking directly at Jesus. I would try to convince the world that just the worship of God, whether Jewish, Islamist, any cult is sufficient. I would never speak of salvation in a service, after all there may be someone in the service unsaved, it might be the only time they ever hear the Gospel. I would never speak of repentance, or the plan of salvation, except at a revival service. I would never talk about a backdoor revival, cleansing of church roles, only front door revival, “counting numbers instead of making numbers count”. Surely, Satan knows just as all the world knows, that it is only the full house, the full parking lot, the full offering plate, that impresses God and the onlooking world.

If I were Satan, I would use the same methods of warfare which the enemy has used for centuries, infiltration is easier and more effective if you wear the uniforms of your opposition, if you talk the same language, if you have the same habits (Jimmy Carter kissed Brezhnev just before Brezhnev and Russia invaded Afghanistan). In enemy infiltration, Satan knows that you can teach a parrot to talk, a bird to sing convincingly; pretenders, masqueraders, imposters, infiltrating the camp, the easiest way to take over.

If I were Satan, I would destroy the Christian family, particularly in the media. I would start with a single man, an uncle with a butler, then a single mother, divorced or otherwise, then homosexual embellishment, a house with several gay people, or even one or two with adopted children. If a story involving a mother and father, I would make the father look like a dunce, a father with no backbone, no control of the home.

If I were Satan I would have moles or spies involved in every spiritual activity, particularly at the Christian college, Bible college, seminary level. Satan is adaptable, patient, ambiguous, Satan is capable of instilling and installing notions of quackery and quaking, concerning any doctrine, or philosophy. Satan is capable of internal combustion...causing fights and fermentation, attitudes and belief system, translating and transplanting God's word into choking bones of interpretation. Satan will have you ignore the good, succulent meat of courage and encouragement, enlightenment and enlistment.

In the book The Man Who Never Was, we find such a plan as Satan would use, perfected by the British in WWII. A dead man had washed ashore in Spain with top secret plans, it told how British forces would invade Greece and Sardinia, the Germans fell for the trap as the British, as intended, invaded Italy. The operation was called “Operation Mincemeat”, the fooling, the beguiling, started with Satan in the Garden of Eden. We do what we do because we believe what we believe. Eve believed and fell for the doubts put in her mind by Satan. Most human beings are self-delusional.

If I were Satan, I would use the very human thought-process of doubting everything, particularly the non-believer doubting an eternal life. Progressive preachers and pastors of the progressive left certainly those of liberation theology, are the biggest suckers of them all, Satan's pets. Doubting good and evil, heaven and hell, and then the believer, having made the choice, having chosen Christ. There is still the ever-persistent prodding of Satan: “did I make the right choice, am I missing out on something?”

Karl Marx, in his 1848 Communist Manifesto stated that his most aggressive stalwarts would be preachers. Satan has us where he wants us, ten years between the fall of the USSR and 9/11. The Russians, the Chinese, Satan's communists want to live...the Islamists look forward to death. Communism can be defined in one sentence, “abolition of private property.” Christians who have escaped totalitarianism, Marxist or Islamist, cannot understand America's rush toward suicide. We only study history to learn that Satan is liar, he always pays off in counterfeit.

Padded Pews

On my second trip to China in 1980, I visited the famous Mogao Caves (a system of 492 temples in which thousands of Buddhist statues are located) where statue of Buddha and other Buddhist art is located. It is a treasury of Buddhist history and one of the many phenomenal aspects of Chinese life as affected by art and religion. The thing I remember most about the visit, four Chinese men walked up to me and said in English, “Are you a Christian? We are Christian.” This was the last question I ever expected to hear in a godless, communist country, by men dressed in the usual Mao uniforms and who looked no different than the zillions of Chinese men and women everywhere. I said, “Yes, praise God. I am thankful you are able to recognize a fellow Christian. I wished there were some way I could express to you how much God loves you and how much the Christians in the world are praying for you.”

Knowing the prying ears of government agents, including my guide, I made their photograph, shook their hands, gave each of them my card and retreated. The first words out of my guides mouth were, “What did those men say to you?” I said, “They were anxious to practice their English. I told them how much I was enjoying the caves.” The Chinese Christian church is growing because, like the early Christian church started in Antioch. Life is not easy for the Christian there, they are suffering persecution, but always, under persecution, the church grows. I understand that in spite of the starvation and degradation of the people in North Korea, the Christian church is growing even though 100,000 Christians are in prison. If you can imagine the absolute depravity of existence outside prison, can you even imagine life inside a communist North Korean prison.

My son, my only child, (Dr. John M. Morris) after all his years of education, microbiology, medicine, theology, (2 doctorates) spent many years, along with his wife and children, on the mission field in South Korea. He said, “The new Christians are so sincere in their faith that even in sickness, they believe in the power of prayer which comes even before the doctor.” The most sickening matter of 21st century liberal Christian thought in this country at present, is that even in a case of counseling, the modernist pastor will send a Christian church member to a godless psychologist for help.

Other than visiting homes of many ambassadors in world travel, I always tried to visit missions and churches because like healthcare, soul care is the interest of my life. I was embarrassed before the holy spirit of almighty God to witness the simplicity of faith in impossible situations with mission churches around the world. (They do not have padded pews)

In the Cameroon’s, I attended a worship service under a large “brush arbor” with crude benches and many worshipers just sitting on the ground. They would spend much time in prayer with their knees and heads on the ground pleading for God’s mercy and thanking God for their blessings. There were no musical instruments just timing type drums to which they would sing with great gusto. Their worship did not include any of the voodoo type activity I had witnessed in voodoo festivals much of which had extended to the catholic services. These people had been taught the difference in true worship than just pretending with God on padded pews. It is not my purpose here to describe the mosque found in Muslim countries, the Zongs and temples of the Buddhist and Hindu religions or even the state sponsored religious houses found in secular countries such as Scandinavia.

You find about as much passion and faith in a state sponsored secular worship activity as you do in an American civic club or TV pseudo entertainment mockery. (Benny Hinn, Jimmy Swaggart, Robert Schuller, etc) I define faith as a verb, action based on belief, sustained by confidence. There are many definitions of faith in God’s inerrant word. I understand the word faith is defined as the safety under the wing of a mother bird or in the cleft of a large rock. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) We are saved by grace through faith and nothing more.

A blind person depends on faith much more then a sighted person. We truly walk by faith not sight and, I HAD RATHER WALK IN DARKNESS IN MY BLINDNESS WITH GOD THAN TO WALK IN DAYLIGHT WITH GOOD EYES ALONE.

We exercise our faith in other things everyday. We put a letter with a stamp on it addressed to a certain place with faith believing it will get there. We buy a can of food at the grocery store with faith believing the can is correctly labeled. We put a pill from a bottle into our throat with faith believing that some half drunk or drugged pharmacist did not mix up the pills with ones of poison. We could give thousands of examples of using faith everyday in our daily activities, starting the car, or turning on a light switch.

The tragedy is that too few young people have experienced farm life where expensive seeds and fertilizer are put in the ground and we have the faith to believe that God in his omnipotent mercy will send the rain and sunshine essential for plant growth. It is too bad that young people cannot see the incubation of eggs, the hatching of small chicks with the innate knowledge of how to drink water. Or hear the definite sound of a mother hen different from any other hen. The sheep recognizes their own shepherds voice.

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.” (Job 14:7) The trials of life is such that most would not want to continue without hope. For the Christian, our hope is in our salvation and the many promises and prophecies of God’s word that until this very minute have been fulfilled and He has never forgotten. In knowing this, the disabled, the disenfranchised, the depressed and the despondent keep going with the “blessed assurance” that God will “never leave us or forsake us”. We are told that without vision the people perish, without hope, those with vision or without vision cannot long survive. Hope is found in encouragement and accomplishment. Why else would anyone strive to do better? We live with the blessed hope of our eternal salvation, enduring, life’s problems and disappointments.

God is love and our one commandment is to love one another. (John 13:34) Even if I were not sure and assured by the omnipotence, omniscience, and inerrancy of God’s infallible word, I would have to be convinced of God’s love and faithfulness by one great story in the Bible.

Abraham, the first Jew, perhaps one of the wealthiest men in the world, was living in Ur of the Chaldeas, was instructed by God to leave to an uncertain place, six hundred miles north. His father Terah, a worshiper of idols, died on the trip, near Damascus. But, in a long story of faith and promises, women and sons, he was instructed to offer his son of promise, Isaac, as a sacrifice. In a marvelous story, a type of Christ before Christ, the son of promise, about the same age as Christ when he was crucified, carried the wood for the fire on his back, up on the mountain, and Abraham, in complete obedience, just before killing his son in the sacrifice, was told by God not to kill his son, but rather a lamb. One of the most remarkable things about this story, a father knowing he would sacrifice his long awaited son of promise, they arose early in the morning.

All this happening 4,000 years before the sacrifice of God’s only Son, who likewise carried wood on his back, was killed to redeem both you and me. God showed once and for all with the rending of the veil of the temple, top to bottom, that the supreme act of love had been demonstrated for eternity. Sad to say, from then until now, people are still partial to thieves. Today, more than ever, Barabbas, the thief, would still be selected. “And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13) Christianity has become so comfortable, padded pews, drama and drums, bells and smells. If Christians lived their faith before the world, the world would be changed. Instead, in the comfort zone of wanting to be accepted by the world, the world has changed and converted the church.

Standing Alone

Edgar Young Mullins (1860-1928) who became president of the southern Baptist seminary, Louisville KY in 1899, who wrote the book Christianity at the Crossroads, told the story of a young monkey who had escaped from his home in the hardness of winter with ice and snow covering everything.  He went up to a house, looked in the window and saw a bright fire coming from a fireplace, he went around trying every door knob until he finally got into the house, found his way to the fireplace and their froze to death because what appeared to be a fire in the fireplace was a fake log. I know this is true because I have used these fake logs and lights in my fireplaces. They give the appearance of a fire in the fireplace but absolutely no heat.  You use them strictly for appearance when you have central heat in the house.  This fireplace fire you turn on with an electric switch.

So it is with most twenty-first century churches, from the outside there is a masquerade of fire and heat, but inside one can freeze to death.  One church caught fire in this town and as it was almost burning to the ground a local atheist said, “this is the first time I have felt any heat from that church”. Diabetes is an epidemic in this country, 50% of the population is overweight, we have an epidemic of diabetes in most churches, too much sugar from the pulpit.

Some years ago in an orange grove in California, Dr. Robert Schuller built what is called the “Crystal Cathedral”, a huge edifice built almost entirely of glass where thousands watch drama during holiday seasons, hear a magnificent trained, paid choir and musicians, where liberalism is proclaimed in all of its compromise.  Dr. Schuller said on one occasion, “there is nothing worse than warning people of their sinful condition”.  One of my employees brothers stayed in California after he left the marines (Pendleton) and worked at the Crystal Cathedral.  He said the entire complex is just, “one large business”.

The Baptist preacher, Dr. Rick Warren, pastor of the Saddleback church, author of books such as The Purpose Driven Life and The Purpose Driven Church, has said that someone could come to his church for a very long time before they would hear the gospel message.  They are much more interested in “drums and drama“, “bells and smells“, than the unvarnished truth of the gospel of Christ and his redemption, the salvation of their souls.  In other words, at the Crystal Cathedral or Saddleback we find a fake fireplace with much light with the appearance of light, but the light of the world is not proclaimed in the simplicity of His salvation.  The truth is the truth whether anyone believes it or not.  Christ told us, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

Pastor Warren and Pastor Schuller give much credence to the bottom line, they want to be loved, to be popular, to attract large crowds and large giving.  No where in the Bible can you find anyone who was popular with everyone.  If these two, like all the others in pulpits across this country and around the world, preach the truth there would not be much clapping or laughing and their membership would be much smaller.  Rough truth is better anytime then a polished lie.  It is better to attract members by truth then by errors.  If a believer in Christ is not conformed to the doctrines of the church then he should cast his lot with a unity organization, or Universalist group, that does not observe baptism, the Lords supper, or any of the truths of discipleship we are told to bear.

Many times it is a matter of standing alone.  Elijah stood alone against Ahab and his 400 false prophets on Mount Carmel.  Christ stood alone before Pilate even his most faithful disciple, Peter, denied him.  Many of us have known the loneliness of standing alone with our convictions in a family.  Others of us have left churches where we were standing alone with our beliefs, ridiculed by modernist preachers and a lost congregation.

Returning from a meeting of a southern Baptist convention, I was asked to make a report on the convention. This all white, elitist, modernist southern Baptist congregation was infuriated when this disabled, world traveler, said, “ It amazes me that a denomination is so concerned about people of other skin color across the ocean, when they walk by the doors of the church everyday, live and work all around us and we care nothing at all for their immortal souls”.   A wannabe doctor, head of the local public health department, and the member of the church who usually ran things including the weak pastor, told me that my words were not appreciated nor was my membership in the church.  The majority is usually wrong, we will live to see this from the last national election.  It is far better to make numbers count instead of counting numbers. “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16)

I am a totally committed Christian, 100% disabled, totally blind veteran, a goal water type conservative, I send commentary such as this to disability, political and religious publications.  In my lifetime, I have written thousands of letters to government officials and opinion molders in this country.  You can believe this, if you never believe anything else, those in political power, the bureaucrat who carry out their wishes, the editors and reporters of publications, who should be interested in the comments of this world traveler, one who has experienced disability, do not want to know the truth, they are getting their heat from a fake fireplace. ( Dr. Morris is a totally blind 100% disabled service connected veteran, world traveler, passport stamped in 157 countries)
