The Death of Business

#1746

"God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference."

Directions in life, are often determined by unintended consequences. The business model on which all commerce, anywhere around the world, is directed, involves "selling something." Small mom and pop grocery store, a beauty shop at the home or a barber shop at the crossroads, Your neighbors and friends, supplying a source for your need, and trying to make a profit. This 85 year old man well remembers his first self-help store, his first self-help gas station. It is from the sound busiest practices of the self-help- lower price model that Sam Walden built an empire that made his children some of the richest people in America. Only history will tell us what Wal-Mart, stores everywhere in every area of our country, has done to the small business man. The small business man operating with heart, a feeling of family with his customers has died, replaced by an impersonal Wal-Mart model.

It is very much the same with other heartless- hapless corporations such as Amazon and AT&T. The small book seller on Amazon, just wants to make a living, just as the small mom and pop grocery store. But, as this writer found in the huge Communist operations in Russia and China, the personal ingredient, has been taken out of the mega store- corporation. It is only the bottom line that matters. And the, excessive salaries of store and corporate officials. Next to Wal-Mart, the greatest offenders in the American experience, Amazon and AT&T. Even Monsanto and its attempt to control the lifestyle of everyone, does not compare to the poison of Amazon and AT&T.

Contempt for Contentment

Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight
Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;
In celestial strains it unceasingly falls
O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!

Christian contentment

(Jeremiah Burroughs, 1600-1646)

"I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances!" Philippians 4:11

Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God's wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.

"Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that!" 1 Timothy 6:6-8

"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you!" Hebrews 13:5

Addition Dr. Morris:

This writer owned and maintained a home right in the middle of Manhattan, New York City, for many years. I used it when I was there, a pied-a-terre away from my usual homestead. It was an excellent launching pad for my world travels. Of course, sightless, I missed the body language so important for evaluating people, but I could hear the rushing tenseness, even anger, in the hordes of people, streets, buses, subways in their workday of survival. I would walk through the garment district and hear men with loaded carts in pursuit of another day's pay, and I'm sure the same mental activity-anguish went on in the great banks, even Wall Street. Every day of my life when I shower-shave in the comfort of my home, I think of my ancestors, who up until my parents generation, never enjoyed any of the comforts of life... never had a good bath. Most only had two pairs of shoes, Sunday shoes and work shoes... most men owned only one suit. Some of my female ancestors probably never had a store bought-ready made dress. Beginning in the twentieth century, industry, movement from the farm into the city, the individual lost much of the joys of living. Governments find it is much easier to control people in large urban areas. Madison Avenue finds it is easy to keep people in stress about the things they do not have. Radio-television-internet advertising keeps people constantly wanting something additional or different. It has become a science aimed at certain age groups, most disgusting, marketing towards children, so, each generation becomes more dissatisfied with their lives than the last. We all want to live like the "rich and famous." Home has become just a filling station-changing room. Everyone is on the go.

One pastor visited one of his members' homes. A young boy answered the door, upon inquiry, the boy told the pastor that his father was on the golf course, his mother, either at the gym or shopping. His sister either had a dancing class or fencing class or soccer practice. The preacher said, "What are you doing?" "I have our old, large tomcat in our freezer turning him into a polar bear," replied the boy.

Bring back the time when we had time to look at the flowers which we had time to plant. Bring back the time when the family could enjoy a meal at a table. Bring back the time when students could enjoy a book just for the pleasure of reading. Bring back the time when families and neighbors visited. In my lifetime, I saw front porches emptied where, before air conditioning, they used to be crowded with people laughing and talking. There was a time when the doctors office didn't limit you to a seven minute visit or a lawyer could practice curbstone law (time to talk with you about a problem on the street).

I have been to Communist China three times since it reopened... amazed that those people are more like robots than robots. Your life is controlled by the government from cradle to grave. I was in the so-called "children's palaces" where all children are raised by government workers... the parents, unless hospitalized, are at work at government jobs. All young men are pressed into military service... you see them constantly exercising. All young girls are working in factories turning out stuff for Wal-Mart. I asked one supervising guide, "What would happen if one of these girls actually had an artistic thought and made something different from the others." She said, "We would destroy it." Everything is done according to standard operating procedures (SOP). Every time I go to a Wal-Mart or another of the mega-stores, I think I'm in Communist China, where piles of clothing are just there for purchase, never any displays. There was a time in America when you could window shop... do you remember mannequins? Even in Chinese restaurants, everything tastes the same, same portions, same decor. The first time I was in China, everyone wore the same uniform, men and women, same haircuts, same bicycles. It was almost that way in Russia, when I crossed the entire continent on the Trans-Siberian Railroad.

America, having been brain-washed, mentally tarnished and tainted by government media, is in the process of losing so quickly that which our ancestors worked so long and hard to establish. From the White House, to the State House, to the court house-school house-church house, we have purchased hook, line and sinker, mal-contentment with the values of our wonderful past.

I have often said, why should we be surprised when sinners act like sinners. Faith is 90% raw courage. Those of us who bear the name of Christ should be the most content, joyful people in the world and should have the courage to esteem it.

Rainmaker of Liberty

(A Veteran's Day Tribute)

"Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened." - Aleksander Solzhenitsyn

This old veteran, old warrior (84), was chosen by God, not only for salvation, but to see the world... a world for which men have fought and died.

Ancient pagans as well as terrorists of the 21st century, axis powers of evil (Nazi and Asian Armies of WW2), and even the progressive Atheist in America, all think that the smoke from warfare, the sounds from warfare, have put so much smoke in God's eyes that he cannot see the horrors of war, that he has not turned up his hearing aid so he can hear the horrors of war. Men have always lived in a world where breeds of badness move in. Explaining the horrors of war is like explaining red to someone who is colorblind. And yet, we expect our young, sensitive children to return from war unscathed after having seen their best friends picked up piece by piece on the battlefield. There are more suicides among veterans than any other group of Americans. Across America, more people die from suicide than from car crashes... most of these are veterans. In the state of Oregon, where suicide is legal, over 1,000 people buy the suicide packets of prescription drugs each year. The suicide promotion campaign in America is called "Compassionate Choices".

Studying the history of wars, I have found that most start because people and nations are trapped by acceptance, sometimes without question, of the value system of others. In warfare, we invest in the enemy, strengths which they do not possess:

16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. - Isaiah 59:16 King James Version (KJV)

In warfare, as in daily life, we often forget the real, thinking only of appearance. Pride is the beginning of every sin, nation or individual. Satan laughs when we plan, trembles when we pray. As we find in this marvelous verse Isaiah 59:16, God must "WONDER" why mankind, especially believing Christians, do not use the awesome power of prayer. All of my long life, I have heard people talk about "they and us". We are so afraid of the "theys" of this world. The "theys" are the tears which God sowed amongst the wheat... the weeds, destructive sinful forces of the world. I still remember the day my Daddy showed me the root structure of a weed... how it would choke the good plant. Many of us saw the destruction of weeds-munitions of warfare. AND, many, those who did not give the supreme sacrifice, came back to live with warfare.

My Daddy's brother, called to the war in WW2, left a young wife on their farm. I can still see she and her younger sister hitching up the mules, bringing in the harvest; corn, beans, cotton. He was gone to war, there was no one else to do it. After the war, as well as while he was in the war, she worked in a hospital. Coming home, he, a disabled veteran, laying at home, she would take her lunch hour from the hospital and go home to feed him... get him to the bathroom etc.

To the uninitiated, everything is obscure, even war, even the Democratic way of life. In one of Stalin's Five Year Plans, Joseph Stalin, who slaughtered 50 Million fellow Russians to establish Communism, was at a Farmer's house on one of his trips through Russia, the farmer complained of controls, government regulations. Stalin said to the farmer, "Bring me one of your chickens." He took the chicken, jerking out all the chicken's feathers, then threw the chicken on the floor. The dazed-bloody chicken began to wobble around. Stalin said to the farmer, "Watch." In his hands, Stalin offered the chicken some grains of corn. The chicken gratefully ate the corn from Stalin's hand. The Russians, Chinese, Cubans, others, have fought for this way of life! This writer was asked to speak at an old veteran's funeral, I had known this truck driver for many years, a committed Christian, who left Christian tracts, a printed Christian message of salvation, across the Nation. The funeral was at Saint's Delight Holiness Church, a very large white clapboard church in a tremendous grove of oak trees out in the country. The church and the yard were filled with a tremendous crowd. I remember saying, unlike the person in the Jefferson Starship song, popular on the radio at that time, "This fine veteran knew from where he came, what he was fighting for in the south pacific."

When our Blessed Lord was laid in a cold, dark tomb, the enemy rolled a great stone and placed a seal. They paid soldiers with money to guard, making sure he would not escape. You see, often unbelievers know more than believers. His disciples, even his friends, were surprised at his resurrection... that first Easter morning. Even after the large sums of money paid the guards, pessimists-Atheists have said that the guards were asleep, certain death awaited any Roman soldier who slept while on guard duty.

Many of us remember how little soldiers were paid in historic wars. Many of us remember the "pounding" of preachers (church-members bringing food for the pastor). Defending our Christian-Democratic way of life today, too many preachers on the golf courses, too many warriors using robots... and we think we will stay free. God's greatest gift, our redemption through his son, REAL liberty.

Living close to my own beach house (Wrightsville Beach, NC), my accountant and his wife were dog-sitting for his sister in their beach home. My accountant, graduate of the Naval Academy, retired naval officer, one of the finest men I have ever known. The dog acted up, Jane took the dog outside, a distraught woman ran down their pier. A woman had fallen into the sound near the ocean from their boat. My accountant, Michael Brown, grabbed his flashlight, at age 67, ran down to his kayak and went paddling out into the water, searching. Law enforcement rescuers had not arrived. The tide was moving out. Michael, almost totally deaf, with his flashlight, spotted the floating body. He could not get her into his kayak, but jumped in the water and swum to the shore with her. After the rescuers got there, she was revived and is still alive. GOOD NEWS, THERE ARE STILL REAL MEN WHO MAKE REAL DECISIONS.

Fool's Gold

Jeremiah 32: 17-18

17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name.

The Earth does not wobble at the death of one man. The earth does not go off its axis at the death of one million men. Although men, their personalities are the best God has to offer. Like Fool's Gold, fakery, God must be greatly embarrassed by many of us (The mineral pyrite, or iron pyrite, also known as fool's gold, is an iron sulfide with the chemical formula FeS2. This mineral's metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue give it a superficial resemblance to gold, hence the well-known nickname of fool's gold. A real pretender but has no real value.)

For many years, this writer owned a very fine condo apartment on Manhattan's East Side. I was never a New Yorker, never felt like a New Yorker, always lived and maintained my homes in the south, but since I could afford this extravagance, and since it was an excellent launching pad for my world travels, at an energetic-enigmatic time in my life when I was truly concerned with personal-egotistical advancement, this pied-a-terre served me well. I lived on Beakman Place by the United Nations... on the corner, just across the street from the South Korean embassy, just across the street from famed composer Irving Berlin. I enjoyed "hobknobbing" with the elitists in this area of the city, although I was not one of them (I, too, can act-pretend, I felt I was stranded on an island of sanity in a sea of heathenism, these diplomats had a right to their lifestyles. I was flirting with Fool's Gold).

Among my several philanthropic causes, the New York-based Volunteer Services for Children (an organization that provides shelters for homeless children). I was attending a meeting of the national group at the Hilton hotel on Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Ave.), though completely blind, I had no difficulty getting to the building, up the escalator, into the correct assemblage. But, during the meeting, going to the Men's room, I became disoriented and wound up in another meeting. Of course, I dress well, can fit into any group. The meeting into which I ventured was a group of communist union workers. They were having coffee and donuts and one man invited me to join them, actually brought me a cup of coffee and a donut. Several talked with me and since I had on my veteran's DAV cap, with my rank, insignia and medical caduceus, attracted much attention. I guess they thought I was one of them. Later, men on either side, invited me to join another scheduled meeting in another part of town. One said, "Gus will be there." Of course, he was talking about Gus Hall, chairman of the American Communist Party. Always seeking a new adventure, I got right in the taxi cab with them. The meeting was held on the West Side of Manhattan in a large warehouse-type building. Unaware why they had invited me, probably thinking I was a very disgruntled American. During the meeting, they discussed burning down my country, that with the winds just right in the city it was a matter of cigarette lighters lighting curtains or bedspreads from an open window. They pointed out that snipers would shoot out the tires of all firetrucks. "That in a matter of minutes, most cities would have fires, particularly in old, historic wooden buildings, that would burn an entire city to the ground." This is what the communist had in store for us... even fifty years ago. Can we even imagine what enemies have in store for my country with today's radical groups, armed biologicals, nuclear suitcase bombs? It should be evident to anyone with an IQ above their shoe size that the enemy is invading... across the borders, through every airport terminal. IF, with missiles on top of the White House, sharpshooters and guards around the White House, one man can climb the fence, run across those large plush grounds, get inside our nations home of the president through an unlocked front door, traverse most of the mansion, perhaps the NSA, IRS, CIA, FBI insteal of lowly Americans should spend more time on that type of security. In a time of drugged bureaucrats and political low-lifes (very low men and women in very high places), can there be hope for the survival of hard-working, tax-paying, God-fearing citizens. In recent warfare, since WW1, 90% of all casualties were civilians. The bureaucrats have underground tunnels, most of our men in uniform have weapons but for the rest of us, good luck.

God does not blame anyone for jumping out of a burning building but we all have a hunger for life. We need to get this matter of guilt and shame corrected in our thinking. Babies murdered in the abortion process, kicking and squirming before birth, are anxious for life. Perhaps the female, married or unmarried, who is the only one blessed by God to give birth is ashamed to be an unwed mother, but most victims of abortion would tell you that this is nothing compared to the guilt involved in taking that life. Do we actually think that a holy God of justice will allow a nation so blessed, as has been America, to kill 53 million babies just since the infamous supreme court decision of 1973. To allow a greedy military industrial complex to manufacture weapons that have destroyed so many lives in so many countries, that has provided the God-given chemicals and knowledge to conjure the illegal designer drugs which have left so many lives in shambles. Technology which has brought the worst man can offer into every home (pornography, desensitization to violence) and then think that we will escape, even the Christian's have a responsibility for not allowing the Christian message to be polluted by the Madison Ave. culture and designs of the world.

Technology has made life much better for all of us, but human nature has not changed. We are so busy chasing after fool's gold, the fakery of this world. Perhaps the two matters that bother me most, in regards to dealing with my fellow man. I cannot stand the public spanking of a small child. Give any child, particularly your child, the personal privacy even from a very early age of private discipline. The other traumatic matter at the other end of life, most of the time, the public display of a dead body (remember I did not say a person, I said a body). If a Christian, the person in a far better place, would not return. For the unsaved, death is truly death, emotional scar tissue. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. This is real gold.

Thinkism

Proverbs 23:7King James Version (KJV)

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
There are many -isms that should be -wasms. Socialism, Communism, Nazism, Fascism, even Nihilism. Genus Homo (Human Being) is the only member of the animal kingdom who has the ability to think-reason-make predetermined decisions. In my lifetime (84) I have personally seen human beings dumbed down by a secular-state news media who are determined to do all of the thinking for you. We call such, "Stinking Thinking." Satan is in control of such thinking, it should be very obvious to anyone with an IQ above their shoe size. Madison Ave., the world, flesh devil, would have you believe that government knows best... that government knows best with your values judgment, political correctness, the necessity to be popular. There was a time we called such "controls" brainwashing. We have seen the cheapening of life (abortion, euthanasia), the greatest gift in God's creation. It is beyond the comprehension of this writer, one who has spent his entire life in science and healthcare. That those who should know the "magnificence" of the human body, even a rudimentary knowledge of epidemiology, could not with certainty COMPREHEND THE HORRORS OF A VIRUS.

June 20, 2014: The Centers for Disease Control sign is seen at its main facility in Atlanta, Georgia. (Reuters)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed on Tuesday that a patient being treated at a Dallas hospital has tested positive for Ebola, the first case diagnosed in the United States.
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas officials said in a statement Monday that an unnamed patient was being tested for Ebola and had been placed in "strict isolation" due to the patient's symptoms and recent travel history.
Presbyterian Hospital says it's taking measures to keep its doctors, staff and patients safe.
CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden said that the patient arrived in Texas from Liberia earlier this month and exhibited no symptoms. The patient sought care last Friday and has been hospitalized in isolation since the weekend. Frieden said that officials don't believe there is any risk to anyone who was on the flight at that time.
State health officials say no other cases are suspected in Texas.
The hospital had announced a day earlier that the patient's symptoms and recent travel indicated a case of Ebola, the virus that has killed more than 3,000 people across West Africa and infected a handful of Americans who have traveled to that region.
The CDC has said 12 other people in the U.S. have been tested for Ebola since July 27. Those tests came back negative.
Four American aid workers who have become infected while volunteering in West Africa have been treated in special isolation facilities in hospitals in Atlanta and Nebraska, and a U.S. doctor exposed to the virus in Sierra Leone is under observation in a similar facility at the National Institutes of Health.
The U.S. has only four such isolation units but the CDC has insisted that any hospital can safely care for someone with Ebola.
According to the CDC, Ebola symptoms can include fever, muscle pain, vomiting and bleeding, and can appear as long as 21 days after exposure to the virus.
Jason McDonald, spokesman for the CDC, said health officials use two primary guidelines when deciding whether to test a person for the virus.
"The first and foremost determinant is have they traveled to the region (of West Africa)," he said. The second is whether there's been proximity to family, friends or others who've been exposed, he said.
U.S. health officials have been preparing since summer in case an individual traveler arrived here unknowingly infected, telling hospitals what infection-control steps to take to prevent the virus from spreading in health facilities. People boarding planes in the outbreak zone are checked for fever, but symptoms can begin up to 21 days after exposure. Ebola isn't contagious until symptoms begin, and it takes close contact with bodily fluids to spread.
God wanted me to sense the world. Though sightless, I could smell, hear and understand matters that were described to me. I remember going to the hospital on Easter Island, not one patient in the hospital, so careful were these people in keeping an island of healthiness-righteousness in a sea of paganism and disease (an island five hundred miles off the coast of South America in the Pacific Ocean). In my eight around the world trips, I found that in many countries, anyone even suspected of a disease was isolated... prohibited from entering their country. I saw a large group isolated in Israel. With all this so-called scientific competence of America, we would dare allow disease to enter, via airports overnight. In most of the world, there are few hospitals, fewer nursing homes etc. The people have an acquired immunity to most diseases they come into contact. Plus, they do not live such sanitized-sterilized lives.

I was in almost every African country, will never recover from their sick-care system. What was called a hospital, a building with mats on the floor... families outside cooking on open fires (I will never forget all that smoke). Themselves cooking for and taking care of their loved one in the so-called hospital. It's just the grace of God that most people do not succumb to any disease in these places. But, is it any better here? We allow just about anyone to enter at our airports... the mad rush to just get through and grab a cab. Anyone, when ill, difficulty in getting diagnosed, visitors in and out of the hospitals bringing in on their shoes, clothing, every type of germ. Anyone ill enough to be in the hospital, should not have visitors. This writer was astounded at a local hospital, actual carpeting in corridors, draperies on windows, stuffed chairs in rooms. It would seem that the "scientist" managing these facilities were attempting to harbor every germ possible. But of course, big pharma, big medicine, big sick-care staffing, big houses on "pill hills", do not get rich from healthy or dead people, only sick people. The objective is to keep as many people sick as possible, keep everyone taking as many medications as possible. This is the reason America spends more on sick-care than any other nation, why there is never a cure for anything... ONLY TREATMENT. As it spreads, and it surely will spread, people and projects will get rich from Ebola.

Tall Men in World of Midgets

This writer has traveled every continent of the world. 50 years ago, traveling in remote 3rd world countries as well as the populous ones, with respect to me and my country, other world citizens looked up to us. We were tall men in a world of midgets, mostly because of our idealism proffered in academia, industrial might and certainly exploration. It was not just the physical spirit of idealism, but the spiritual spirit of exceptional-ism.

So it was from the beginning, my ancestors escaping the corruption and annhialism of 15th century Europe for the opportunities of the North American continent.

I thought of this yesterday when I had a letter from a pastor who had won one of the two pastor's awards. ($3,000 each cash award) I have given, for many years, in honor of my great grandfather, P.T. Lucas, a country preacher of the gospel. Born in 1854, dying in 1908, not even my father ever knew him but, many knew about him.

The Lucas family was one of North Carolina's first families, owned a large part of Wilson county. This man, father of 12 children who left each of them a plantation, could have stayed home and pastored-preached close by but, on paths, horse and buggy, covered eastern North Carolina proclaiming the good news. He attended a large Baptist convention in Nashville, TN, his first train ride, first time seeing electric lights, first time seeing inside plumbing, having never seen a telephone or heard a radio. He lived through the civil war, witnessed the desperation, annihilation of the countryside.

Today's pastors, luxury cars, comfortable homes, planes and programs, golf courses and the gadflies of the world. I get so sick when I hear televangelists, in their thousand dollar suits, expensive hair cuts, talk of their commitment to God and His Word. It is like “so-called” Christians who can reconcile membership in the church and membership in free masons. It is like Girl Scouts supporting planned parenthood. It is like black, “so-called” fundamentalists voting 96% for a Marxist-Muslim-pro choice sympathizer. It is like hard-working, God-fearing, tax-paying Americans voting for politicians who are increasing the national deficit by $2 trillion per year... taking every tax dollar just to pay interest on the national debt. Rejoice, my greart grandfather was looking forward to this day because we, today, are seeing the “end times”... the times spoken of in the Bible, just before the reappearance of Jesus Christ.

Have we lost all common sense? Do you not understand that communism-humanism-nosticism has always failed? Do you not understand that China, having the world's largest middle class, has moved from communism to capitalism? Do you not understand that America, 54% depending on entitlements, is moving from capitalism to communism?

I remember walking down the streets of Damascus, Syria - street called straight on which the apostle Paul walked next, will come the destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17:1)

My great grandfather, grandfather, father, did not live through bubbles... .com, real estate, bailout, now silver and gold. Their feet were on the ground, the basics of God, family, country... seed time and harvest, sowing and reaping, absolutes of right and wrong. Greece, the cradle of civilization, Italy, center of history and art. Their foibles of government did not determine or compromise this nation's progress. When the stock market retraces to 3,000 on the DOW, when sexual promiscuity becomes just “ho hum” on the news, when genocide and infanticide are of no concern, even to “so-called” believers many more will realize that our redemption draws near. (Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus - Revelation 22:20)

In a world of midgets, midget thinking, midget actions, midget dreams, it is truly exceptional and marvelous to find men and women, who still stand tall... tall in words, tall in actions, tall in dreaming about better days for their country, their children and at last, salvation for all who God wishes to save. (John 3:17)

Weather forecasters did not predict the recent Northeastern, October, snowstorm. Forget what satanic protagonists have told you. In God's magnificent design, there are absolutes... the periodic table, laws of motion, tones of music. Mathematics, regardless of language, results always the same. Chemistry, results in the same equation. Astronomy, no surprises, no matter which telescope. God is Boss, in charge, He makes no mistakes. When will tall men stand and say something? The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)... bantam Baptists, midget Methodists, puny Pentecostals, effervescing Epicopalians, cathartic Catholics.

Two Women On A Cake

Homosexuality, was, and still is, the strangest mystery, polemic mantra, visited on my thinking. Physically, spiritually, psychologically, its extremities are beyond compare. I first encountered this deviance from the normal as a young, impressionable college student at the Cabala of liberalism and atheism in North Carolina, Chapel Hill. I honestly did not know what they were talking about, nor do I believe that my ancestors before me could ever be convinced that the time would come in this nation, founded on Christian principles, that news broadcasts and even polite conversations in the church house, school house, courthouse would center on same-sex marriage and the rapid rise of homosexual activity, a “gay agenda”.

The first time I heard of a same-sex marriage was right here in the town where I reside. St. Thomas Hall is a former Episcopal church, restored for civic activities. An educator friend from the university, told me he went to a wedding at St. Thomas. He said, “I would like to have seen the expression on your face, if you were there, as I told you what was going on. It was an assemblage of all the queers and rears of the area. Liberals, communists, perverts. Two female nurses from the hospital were wed. One was dressed in a white evening gown, the other in a black tuxedo. It was a wild foray into the exotic quasi-land of unbelief and disbelief. I now know what it is like to see centuries of civilization 'gone with the wind.' At the reception, there were gifts for the couple, a wedding cake with two women on top.”

The thing that bothers me most about this abomination is that the world, the flesh, the devil has swept up the church with it. You could never have convinced the prophets and evangelists of old that people who profess to know God, could climb so quickly into the cavern of disbelief along with Satan, the purveyor of deception and lies. Such reformers as Jehu of the Old Testament, Martin Luther of more recent times, would never be convinced that Sodom could become so extensive, that some denominations (Episcopal, Lutheran, Unitarian, etc.) would actually license such as preachers, pastors and even bishops. For instance, the Episcopal church has many lesbian bishops.

An entire alchemy is being formulated in the Catholic church to accommodate refugee members of the Anglican and Episcopal churches seeking to escape deception and find refuge in Catholicism. There are more Anglicans in Africa than the rest of the world combined. These “Christians” want no part of this heresy. How anyone with enough education to read can jump into the stew pot, concocted by such liberal neophiles and still read the inspired words of Paul in the New Testament, the law of the Old Testament, is beyond comprehension.

You cannot prop up something not-of-God, even if you call it love. We have found, to our sorrow, that most Christians are just “marshmallows”, they know nothing about the wrath of God, that God's Wrath was dispensed on His Only Son once and for all. The church representing Christ will certainly know the Wrath of God for participating in this debacle. God is very jealous as He protects the adequacy of His Son's dying for all, His death of atonement, the adequacy of the wrath dispensed on Him. I do not believe that most of these people have any idea about the Lord's table, His stripes for our healing, His Blood for our forgiveness. We are made worthy by Jesus Christ's Blood sacrifice. It must be a stench in God's nostrils to see the flaunting of His most sacred Creation, man and woman, the reproductive path for His chief creation, human life. Shame, shame, shame on imposters, pretenders, who make a mockery of the Christian church, the Christian family.

I have spent most of my life studying and traveling the world. God wanted me to see what the entire world is like, the depravity of nations not committed to Him. He wanted me to see the Hindu monkey temples. The dzongs and stupas of Asia, the mosques and temples of Islamic nations, the barren assembly halls of Godless, communist nations. He wanted me to see the brush arbors of Africans who have been converted to Christ. In every continent, poverty-stricken or areas of wealth, those who claim the name of Christ are prosperous. Wealth pursued Abraham (Abraham, the richest man in the world at his time), because he kept God's law, and so it has been throughout the history of man. Defy God and take the consequences.

100 new restaurants open in New York City every day, 100 restaurants close in New York City every day...tried and failed. As one real estate broker said to me one time when he was trying to sell me a restaurant building, “every prospective restauranteur thinks he has the magic answer.” Socialism has failed every place it has been tried, yet we have those who want to enforce it again on the rest of us. Central planning, in government, has never worked. Obama's healthcare will fit right into his pocket. Democrats believe that the truth, wisdom and goodness of Obama will supersede good sense. Like Obama's patronizing the homosexual community, the “politically incorrect guide to socialism”, and the gay agenda, would lead us on the fast track to disaster. Americans are still paying tax on the cost of the Spanish/American war. Few realize what the political correctness fed to us through state-controlled news media will cost due to socialism and the gay agenda.

Remember, there are no tears at Walmart when small businesses close. Big business has always been the enemy of small business, and small businesses have always been the enemy of big business. Ludicrous regulations, taxation do not bother big business. There is unholy alliance between government and big business. It will bother some Americans to get away from the idol worship of the television set, the internet, and think about what is happening to their civilization, their country, their church. God is displeased with idol worship more than anything else. You hang your body on the truth of the greatest sacrifice known to the body of man, your redemption provided for you, and then your relationship with your republic, the most blessed nation on earth.

Engulfed

Two years ago, yesterday, President Obama was inaugurated as president. It has been the most stupefying two years in American history. No one could have convinced our ancestors that the American voters would inaugurate a Sunni Muslim as president of the United States, a known quantity, a Marxist with no experience in business, and little in government. Through his appointments, America has been taken over by socialism without a shot being fired, a type of socialism you find in France, Russia, China.

While most of us have our nose to the grindstone, trying to survive, he and his ilk have increased the national debt to the place that it can never be repaid. In two year times, he increased the debt more than all the presidents from George Washington to George W. Bush. The past two years are an embarrassment to our ancestry, patriots, Christians, hardworking, God-fearing, tax-paying citizens who have defended this country militarily all over the world, and fortresses of decency, responsibility within the borders.

In 1804, President Jefferson, following the Louisiana Purchase, commissioned Lewis and Clark to explore the northwestern frontiers of America. They were given $2500, gifts for the Indians, including silver medals with Jefferson's likeness, medicine and weapons with which to engage the many Indian tribes. Leaving Saint Louis, the 33 in the expedition proceeded to the Pacific, mapping and making historical notes of the many Indian tribes. One of the Indians in the expedition, along because of his knowledge of languages and survival practices, had a knowledge of the Bible, and had a Bible with him.

In Idaho, he presented messages from the “heaven book” to an Indian tribe. They did not forget what he talked about, and would sit around and talk about the messages of the heaven book. Slowly, those with memories began to die, and they realized that they needed the “heaven book” (Bible). Since no one from the expedition ever returned, like the Children of Israel, they decided to send five to find the expedition and bring back a heaven book. The five Indians, Running Bear, Deer with Two Horns, Plains, Grass Dweller, and Horse Runner left to walk the 1,000 miles to St. Louis. One of the five turned back, the other four walked the 1,000 miles, they finally found Clark, not a religious man, who did not own a Bible. Clark was busying showing these Indians off to his fellow Americans...not one mentioned the “heaven book” to the Indians.

Before the four left to return to their tribe, one of them said to a St. Louis newspaper, “we are not interested in your city, your weapons, your way of life, we came looking for your 'heaven book', we want one, and no one seems to know anything about it.

One of my friends, a brilliant doctor, everything in life that one could want, an unbeliever, said to me recently, just before leaving my house, “Tom, don't change, you are the only hope I have.” I think he meant by that, that if I had any doubts about my salvation, he would truly be hopeless, in this world of hopelessness...engulfed by problems in every direction.

As our national leaders smooched the president of China at the White House and elsewhere, I could not help but remember, what I had seen on my several trips to communist China, hopeless people engulfed by a godless, confused, authoritarian, totalitarian, anti-humane servitude to government. Every civilization has been touched by the Creator of the universe, the most isolated Indian tribes, then and now, have their own theory of numbers, know multiplication tables, know about magnetism.

In New Guinea, the natives told me that the sweet potato was an all-sufficient food, I had walked through miles of sweet potato fields to a remote area where a sing-sing festival was taking place. Clad in their bird of paradise feathers, the men separated from the women, these natives were singing and dancing with rhythms similar to those found all over the world. They had never seen an electric light, television set, but had been able to survive for many years without western cultural decadence or technology.

In China, a nutritionist at a well-known university told me that a radish had more vitamin c than an orange. A military officer laughed, telling me about the obsolescence of American aircraft carriers, he said, “with guided missiles, can you imagine how quick we will put them on the bottom of the ocean.” We have become engulfed by our own incompetence.

The greatest tragedy of America's existence, at a time in history when we should have every advantage, every satisfaction in our lifestyle, we are engulfed by insolence, not only toward one another, but toward other nations. We are a profane society, have spit in the very face of the Creator God of the universe. Misinformation has surpassed information, we torture one another with user fees, exploiting each other with interest payments on credit cards, insidious taxation, our jealousies toward one another and the people in the rest of the world, results in our immediate revolution...fight or flight.

We look at everyone as untrustworthy, politicians, merchants, pastors, teachers, even members of our own family. I have been in places in the world where some rode camels, others drove Mercedes. In the same community, they got along with one another, gave the impression of liking one another. Oil comes from the same place that water comes from, the earth, owned by everyone, humanity should be a sharing experience.

The magnetic field of the earth is moving toward Russia. There is still much debate about the true north and the magnetic north, but one thing about which there is no debate, each time there has been a magnetic field shift, there has been horrendous climate changes, not just shown with dead birds, dead fish, dead cows, all of which have a God-given compass, but horrendous blizzards, droughts. You can expect to see food prices increase drastically this year. Biophysics, and all animal activity, bombardment with electrons, like sonar in the ocean affecting the marine life, electricity (something which we cannot even define) is spattering life. God talks to us, but very few want to listen. We need to be engulfed by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ.

Solidarity

To the globalists, the leaders of the new world order, God's chief creation, made in His very image, the human being, has become very insignificant. Like the cheap comic book portrayals of future accomplishments by part-human, part-robot beings, a merger of man and machine controlled by a computer.

The word “solidarity” was little known outside of the physics laboratory until the Nobel Peace Prize was given to Lech Walensa and the word was used describing this Polish worker's following (by one-fourth of the Polish population). When Walensa and others finally decided to establish Polish worker's rights.

A very little amount of sand is left in the hourglass, the year 2010 is almost gone. Through a movement called “Tea Party”, some sleeping RINO members of the Republican party were finally awakened. The enslavement of America is finally brought full face before those who care. The liberals, blacks, gays, academics, media personalities (print and sound), do not care. Someone once asked me, since I traveled through many communist countries and had seen the what the profanity and abomination of communism does to the human being, “why do some Americans promote such a philosophy?” I told him, “they think it will not affect them because they will be in charge.”

In every communist society, every totalitarian group, there is always that very small percentage of the elitists, politburo, who feel they are destined to rule the proletariat. Liberal democrats think things are bad with democracy's fat cats, Wall Street, Madison avenue, K street exploiters, the racketeers; but the MAFIA in the communist system is a nightmare that makes the Jewish MAFIA in Las Vegas seem like Sunday school. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. (Psalm 22:10-11)

There is a cohesion-connectedness between people who are fellow sufferers. There will always be a cohesion-connectedness between those 33 Chilean miners who awaited rescue from the bowels of the earth. I have observed a connectedness surrounding Christians observing Communion at the Lord's table. I have observed a connectedness with family members and even neighbors around the casket of a deceased loved one.

The solidarity, connectedness of a college fraternity, Masonic order, Rotarian or Elk's civic club is far different from the connectedness or solidarity affecting a group of cancer survivors, a military unit at the battlefront, survivors recovering in a military hospital, or even former orphans in a childrens home.

Many of us have had the experience of the closeness involved in a group traveling together...staying in the same hotel, eating together, sightseeing together. After your final departure, you head to your own destination, and in spite of the closeness you experienced, you seldom ever hear from these friends again. It is even rare to have a close relationship with college roommates, sports team members. You felt that at the time there was a solidarity that would preserve a relationship forever; only through the common cause of neurological fellowship, does such friendship persist. In order for the Christian to know Christ, you must daily experience the power of His Resurrection, the fellowship of His suffering. (Philippians 3:10)

The largest minority in America, the disabled, should have an attitude of solidarity, because each has experienced the isolation of their own distinction, whether wheelchair, white cane, disfigurement, or some other blessing which separates them from the normal. Family members should have close solidarity, having sat around the same table, known first hand the hardships of parenthood, the festoon of genes; too often, jealousy, in-law blight, or dwelling on past problems prevent such.

One of the most honest, up-front, outspoken groups who protect and perfect solidarity is that of those with alcoholism. 75% of all crime, 50% of all divorces, 60% of all broken bones are attributed to alcohol consumption. 80% of all young people are experimenting with alcohol, and one 1 out of each 16 will become a drug addict. It all starts with the first drink.

The great problem, political correctness. Psychologists want children to like their parents, more important is how well the children like their parents after the child is 25 years old. In AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), only one's first name is used, it can happen to anyone. Across the tracks, in the poor section of town, one who cannot control alcohol is called a “drunk”. On “Pill Hill” or other ritzy sections of town, one who does not control alcohol is called an “alcoholic” or “having a disease”. We are all in this thing together...solidarity. Christ knew what he was talking about when he told us to love one another, the most difficult action in the universe: to love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 19:19)

Even at the church you see few wheelchairs, few white canes, and as I have been told many times as a totally blind, 100% disabled, service-connected veteran of the Korean era, disabled people make the normal feel uncomfortable. There is a certain solidarity in realizing that very few living human beings have escaped challenges of life, if your life has been perfect, solid, careful, you never know what is heading your way. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (John 17:17)

Beneath The Surface

Precious stones, Gold, radioactive metals are not found on the surface of the earth, you have dig for them. The smaller the amount, the greater the worth. If the entire crust of the earth were covered with gold, men would lie, cheat and steal for a handful of dirt. All the Gold mined on earth so far, is only a cube of 75 feet. In my lifetime, so obvious to anyone who would dig around, men have learned to comply, compliance has been the word, we have learned to follow instructions, paying taxes, every human activity controlled by a permit or license, dancing to any tune played by the government. Our lives have been sculpted by those who would control us.

In my travels (8 around the world trips, passport stamped in 157 countries) I have spent much time in Italy, I love the scenery, the food, the art, the people. Back then, I had a little vision in one eye. I noticed that almost every Italian city claimed to be the birthplace of Michelangelo, in my opinion, and in the opinion of most people, the greatest artist who ever lived. I walked in to the Sistine Chapel, the first time in 1959. Looking up, I was in awe at the ceiling, in later trips I noticed that so many people left St. Peters weeping. I had seen Michelangelo's pieta at the New York City World's Fair, but it was only when I walked into the museum which contains just one Michelangelo statue, David, that I fully recognized the greatness of this sculptor. After finishing Moses, he hit the sculpture with his hammer and said, “speak to me.” It is hard to realize such human greatness. I freeze when I think, if it were me, after achieving such I would have made a mistake at the end. But for him, he said, “in every block of marble or stone, there is an angel waiting to escape.”

So it is with our lives, God's greatest creation, made in his image, each of us, with the potential of being filled with the godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And, those of us who have been redeemed, when filled with the Holy Spirit are creations capable of anything. Unlike Allah (Koran), God gave to man, dominance over the lower animals, even to name them. Man's crowning glory is his nervous system, his ability to think and reason. God blessed the lower animals with superior senses otherwise, smell to the canines, muscles to felines, vision to the avian, a far superior digestive system to the equine.

In my lifetime, 80 years, I have witnessed the destruction of the freedom of thought, the freedom of will. There was a time when our school youngsters, even our are college matriculates, were encouraged to think, to succeed, to accomplish. When Thomas Watson took over IBM, there were signs in every building with just one word: “THINK”. We have become a fat, spoiled, lazy, docile society, content to let someone else do the thinking. To just constantly watch a daily diet of pablum trash on the television screen. I am a veteran of the Korean conflict era, as medical officers, we learned about Chinese thought control. The most pitiful human beings in the world, totalitarian, authoritarian communists, who are slaves and do not know it; or, maybe they do, and like it. Just letting the government make every decision in their life. I have been in communist China three times, along with most other communist countries, even crossed Russia on the trans-Siberian railroad. The masses, turn their children over to the state right after birth, everyone with an assigned job. Just surviving, not living. Each commune had its own crematory, never saw a church steeple, but always a crematory. They actually showed me, in a hospital, prisoners taped to tables, opened, as they removed vital organs for transplant to sick patients.

I saw their socialized healthcare system, their bureaucratic, militaristic education system. The destruction of the first gift to man by God, the family. In 1935, the writer Sinclair Lewis wrote the book, It Can't Happen Here, he knew, just as we know, that the Babylonian empire, the Persian empire, the Greek, Roman, Egyptian civilizations have all fallen because of a culture of indolence. Until you understand the parables of Jesus Christ, such as the vineyard, the sower, the prodigal son, the good Samaritan, etc. you will not understand what has happened to this country. To understand God you must know God. Everything seen and unseen, everything for a purpose is leading to eternity.

Liberal, anti-Christ, union people do not like the parable of the vineyard. That workers hired last are paid like those hired first, that one converted on the deathbed, gets the same reward as the one who has worked in the vineyard his entire life. It does not seem right that the thief on the cross, asking for forgiveness of our blessed Lord. Instead of like the other thief, or Barabbas, forever unforgiven. Just one chapter in God's word states 26 times, “the mercies of the Lord endure forever.” (Psalm 136) God has given us an escape from the hardness of stone, rock, or marble, he has given us light, but men prefer darkness (John 3:19).

Character determines destination, individual or nation. Did we think there was consolation-compromise with our blood soaked, evil attitude toward the killing of the unborn (sanctuary of a mother's womb), the killing of innocence along with evildoers in warfare around the world. Most politicians and even generals have never suffered pain...physical pain from injury, psychological pain from fright, the pain of hunger or thirst. Think of the small children, or “the huddled masses” (Emma Lazarus' poem) yearning to be free or just left alone.

Those of us, the largest minority of Americans, the disabled, the veterans, the real American heroes, parents, producers, we've been lied to so much we do not believe anything anymore from a government designed by our forefathers to protect us. Our judiciary and law enforcement has deteriorated to “who you know”, our healthcare system has deteriorated to spending time and effort to detoxify your system from the greed concoctions of Big Pharma, our education system has resulted in indoctrination, entertainment, just going through the motions, accepting without question, jumping through the hoops, whether obeying body scanners at the airport, or eating man-made instead of god-made foods (seedless watermelons, genetically engineered corn).

The greatest tragedy of this enlightened nation, progressive, technology-filled world, collegiate professors and university institutions, so addicted and dependent on government largess. Even those with knowledge, even those who know better, do not speak out because of fear. Fear of being cut off from the government trough. The truth is the truth whether anyone believes it or not. We do what we do because we believe what we believe. It is time to stand up for our belief in truth..

Politics of Bribery

My interest in politics started as a very young child, born during the depths of the Great Depression, witnessing relatives struggling to hold onto their farmland.  Seeing my father do any kind of work to make a dollar, such as cutting hair at ten cents a head, making building repairs for very few dollars which now would cost thousands. Seeing my mother churn tons of butter to sell in town along with eggs and anything else one could sell.  Only burning an old lamp when it was so dark it would be impossible to live otherwise and hearing my republican parents, grandparents, cousins, talk about the corruption in democrat politics in the solid democrat south.  When they knew the lies of FDR and his communist vice President Henry Wallace, were a stench in the nostrils of Almighty God.

As millions of pigs were killed and buried, crops were cut down and destroyed, all in an effort at agricultural stabilization and parity. Unemployment, 18% from 1931 to 1940, nothing ever improving in spite of the lies of the democrat politicians who were elected just from the primary.  Old white men in charge of the registration books, who would never speak to a black person any other time, would actually haul them from the hinterlands to the voting precinct and give them a candy bar to vote for their candidate. There were no republican candidates locally and few statewide, but law required a republican poll watcher at each election. My mother and her cousin took turns as poll watchers for 1 dollar a day and they never ceased to be amazed at the corruption going on at the polls when ballots were illegally marked by men who would sing the loudest at the church.

As poor as we were, my parents mission in life was to educate their children, and so the school and church were the highlights of our existence.  To this day, I don’t know how he did it, but we always had a newspaper delivered and at least 2 magazines. (News and Observer, Look, Progressive Farmer)  I learned to read everything in these magazines, and certainly the newspapers. I read “Under the Dome: The politics of Raleigh” and “ Drew Pearson: The Politics of Washington DC”.

Fast forward, I am a doctor, blind from the war, successful enough to own a co-op apartment in NYC as well as my beach home in NC, traveling the world, meeting important people who gave me a glimpse under the tent of sophisticated corrupt political leaders with the entanglement of capitalist compensation and conspiracy. Always a committed Christian, I loved the Fifth Ave Presbyterian church in Manhattan, within walking distance from my home, because of music and social activity.  Unlike most southern churches, they did not shun disabled persons unless I am very misinformed, God is going to make the coals of hell very hot for supposed “Christians and preachers” who have ignored the disabled citizens of their community.  A few architects in a few cities have started designing church facilities which accommodate the disabled. (Blind, wheelchairs, walkers, etc)  Since the disabled have so many problems, perhaps it makes the congregation and the preacher uncomfortable to have them in the congregation, so they do everything possible to keep them out.  Christ was very concerned about the disabled, seven times, He healed the blind.  He and His disciples healed all types of sickness. He even broke up every funeral precession He ever met.

Another reason I attended the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian church, I understood that Norman Thomas was the assistant pastor there when Rev. Henry Van Dyke was pastor.  Thomas, who ran for president 6 times on the socialist ticket, was a graduate of Princeton University.  It is significant that this fifth avenue church presented each graduating minister of Princeton with a new suit of clothes upon graduating from this Presbyterian college. How things have changed.  Dr. Peter Singer , Princeton professor, one of the countries greatest proponents of abortion  and euthanasia, was asked "Would you kill a disabled baby?", Singer responded, "Yes, if that was in the best interests of the baby and of the family as a whole."  Singer advances his abortion stance that between fetus and newborn there is no sharp distinction.

Norman Thomas, himself, was never an orthodox Marxist, instead favoring a Christian socialist orientation.  Perhaps Thomas, like the modernist Presbyterians, Methodist, Lutheran, etc, like to walk down the middle of the road with one hand stretched out to God, the other to Satan.  Thomas, from a  family of a Presbyterian pastor himself a Union Theological Seminary graduate, like Demus, and so many “church-goers” who “love this present world”, with all his theology training and pastoral knowledge, did not realize that “God is a jealous God.”

James Madison in 1788, said “Encroachment and enslavement of people come slowly.”  Khrushchev, Gorbachev, Roger Baldwin, Gus Hall, Saul Alinsky, have all forecast the demise of our republic and when we have learned recently that 53% of all school children believe socialism is better then democracy, we realize the atheistic indoctrination of our children in the government schools is becoming complete. In 1949, George Orwell wrote the book “Nineteen Eighty-Four” perhaps more then any other famous writer, he had the modern concept of a socialist America in place with the words “Big Brother will take care of you.”

Plato stated long before Orwell that there are two important rules governing a country, the first is “who teaches the children?,” and the second “what do they teach them?”  Judge Brandeis told his daughter that the first rule of life to learn is, “Life is tough.”  In Bill Gate's “Ten Rules for Success in Business“, said the first rule to learn is that “life is not fair.” Everyone wants fairness, yet a very small number of Americans pay all the taxes.  50% of the American population pay no income tax at all.

Since the Korean War, I have been partially blind, but for the past 40 years, totally blind, expected to pay taxes on every dollar I have been fortunate enough to make, even though I never received one dollar of financial help for my education. ( At the time I went to college there were no grants or scholarships). I do not have a child who has been to a public school, I have not used your prisons, your parks, your libraries, your concert halls, your rehabilitation or other agencies.  The State Commission for the Blind has been to my house one time all these years.  The VA has done nothing for my sightless condition except furnished me a “talking watch.”  Knowing the blessings of God, as very few people have known the blessings of God, I have told several young people I would teach them what I know about real estate and securities, but they would have to study and read some books on the subject as I have done. Each one, without exception, said, “I had rather just get a check every month.” So, here comes Mr. Obama’s socialism. Margaret Thatcher, one of England’s greatest, raised in poverty in an apartment above her father’s butcher shop in Grantham England, said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually, run out of other people’s money.”

The problem with socialism in this country is that most of our young people have never known what it is to work or to want for anything.  They have not traveled the world like this writer (8 around the world trips in 157 countries) and seen the economic depravity, starving children, adult despair, police state turmoil, that I have witnessed.  In Haiti, you are rich if you get one meal a day.  92% of the world's population have no possessions at all.  Most of the populations of the poorest countries of the world are under 30 years of age.  They have risked life and limb trying to escape their poverty by illegally crossing borders and even large bodies of water seeking a better life.  The world Muslim population grows at the rate of 36,400 a day.

Next to the killing of the unborn, (3,500 each day) the most horrible death is the death by a machete proving everyday they do not mind killing one another.  The wealth of the western world is anticipated by revolt if nothing else. But, the wealth of the western world, as has already gained a strangle hold in Europe, is the objective of the socialist.  As was stated in Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals“, the target of the socialist, now very much in control, will be attempted with the isolation of everything else.  In academia, more so then anywhere else, stinking thinking leads to our certain demise.  Our people are using emotions instead of rational thinking. The best predictor of failure is our depreciation of success.

Boundaries and Foundations

#678

I was probably around 20 years of age, home from college for the weekend when my father said, “put on some heavy shoes, we are going to do a lot of walking”. He said, “Life is very uncertain, something could happen to me and I have never shown you the boundary lines of the land”. For most American farm families, “the land” meant one thing, your land. In our case, land which my father, his father before him, and his father before him, owned. It was probably on a survey map at the county court house but before the time of spray-can paint, transportable cement stakes, land descriptions were somewhat indefinite. A deed might refer to a stump or an old fence post. I was amazed as he showed me the corners of the land, hundreds of acres, most of which I knew nothing about, because it was wooded land. I was not a hunter, nor was my father. I never knew this man to take off one day in his life, to do anything like hunting or fishing. He always had too many things that needed doing. My father could find more work for me to do on a wet day than most men could on a dry day. On most rainy days, the men in the community would go to my cousin's country store where they could regale one another with all types of stories, most of them lies. They could talk about their accomplishments, my father walked his accomplishments. They could talk about other men's land, my father, like his fathers before him owned land. I remember one of the ministers conducting my father's funeral at the church which he and his family before him had built, starting in 1874, “when he had the stroke he was picking peaches from trees which he had planted”. I have in my possession a survey map from 1766, of the first farm in America, near Morristown, New Jersey.

So easily, we forget boundaries … even our daughter-ship and son-ship with God. It is difficult for sons and daughters that have never known their earthly father to have a relationship with their heavenly father.

So easily, we have forgotten the dignity and vocation of womanhood. All of this is not bad. My grandmothers could not vote until 1920. My great grandfather left each of his daughters large farms. The land was deeded to their husbands … daughters could not inherit land. It was in WWII, when there was such a desperate need for workers in defense industries that women liberated themselves. A 1936 issue of Life magazine first showed women wearing slacks. Until war-time, women wore dresses. I never saw a school teacher or any other professional woman wearing slacks. Even in the military, and I was a staff member at the Army hospital in Fort McClellan, Alabama, WAC center of the Army (Woman's Army Corps). These women, on the parade ground, wore dresses, uniforms. They dressed and looked like women. I understand that women in the military today, dress in the same uniforms as the men. This is how far we have fallen … Entrapped by the Marxist system. I found in all Communist countries, Russia, China, etc. women wore the same clothing as the men. In fact, the women in the military, industry, schools, everywhere in these Communist countries looked and very much acted like men. They had forgotten the boundaries. In China, the women had the same haircut as the men. They do not wear make-up or anything that makes them smell better.

Femininity is just a memory much like fading perfume to women in Communist countries and mostly to women in America. You smell cigarette smoke on women but they do not wear perfume. It is rare to find a woman anymore who does not smoke … who is not tattooed … who talks with a feminine voice. They have jumped the boundary line, they have become liberated.

It has been a long time since I saw a man or a women but I understand just the opposite is occurring with men, going to women's hair dressing salons to get their hair styled, wearing earrings, make-up, tight clothing, speaking in effeminate tones.

We know it is coming … Just where or when? Israel has lived under the gun of Islamic terrorism for over 50 years. They have seen their Rabbis retrieve body parts from miles of suicide bombings. They know hostility, but there is no hostility in the world, like that directed towards America. They have already won, Americans subjected to searches and seizure, excessive taxation, limitation in all life activity as we never dreamed possible, even if the enemy had landed on our shores. Stupid people so stupid things. Members of Congress, stupid, yet thinking they are safe behind armed guards, have allowed America to be invaded by un-armed enemies. It is going to happen, we just don't know when but there will be blasts in cities large and small perhaps, even, nuclear holocaust.

When it happens, and perhaps, since all electricity will be off and there will be little communication, and you learn that you just have three minutes to move into safety, what is important for you to take with you? Have you considered survival? You will be blessed if you are caught in this catastrophe at home. God help us being in transit or away from home.

Firstly, care for your children, essentials for them. Second, essentials for the maintenance of life … water, medications, nourishment. Flaxseed is the most nourishing food anyone can have. You can survive on that alone. Nutrition bars are an essential. Thirdly, you must have good walking shoes because it may be necessary for you to walk long distances. Fourthly, matches and even a fish hook in case you get a chance to catch some food, scissors or a knife. Other items which we consider important in our daily lives such as shaving, bathing, communication will be a thing of the past. Survival is the most basic instinct.

In my lifetime, I have seen most boundaries, most barriers broken, torn down, diminished. There is no such thing as morality or integrity anymore. Let's face it, the Satanic forces of evil have taken over, we chose Barabbas. The thief went back to the streets stealing with our votes and our permission and everything Holy and decent was nailed to the cross. God is having the last word, as he told us he would.

A little known book of the great American writer Washington Irving is called, The Phantom Picture. A Picasso painting, which Picasso did in one day, sold in Europe last week for 106 million dollars. I have had the wonderful experience of touring most of the world's great art galleries, the Louvre in Paris, the Prado in Madrid etc. The painting which stays in my mind, and I could see a little then, is found in the Cathedral in Toledo, Spain. It stays in my mind because of the colors and figures involved. The painting is called The Burial of Count Orgaz by El Greco, 1586. This priceless masterpiece, which I was allowed to see, shows the benefactor of the church being buried with the posthumous assistance of St. Augustine and St. Stephen, who have miraculously appeared at the funeral to thank him for all the money he gave to religious institutions named after them.

Today, May 2010, mankind is a victim of “phantomization” (victims of phantoms) as never before in the history of the world. The disaster cannot be put on canvas, film, or even in words. We are victims of the phantoms of government leadership … people who lie, cheat and steal in a deception beyond the comprehension of most “dumb-sheep” who just follow along because they do not know anything else to do.

Niccolo Paganini, who died exactly 170 years ago this month, world's best known virtuoso violinist, best known for his Caprice No. 24 in A Minor, set the standard for violinists with his honesty and integrity.

Once, he walked on the stage to a full house of cheering music fans. When he stared to play, a sting broke. Un-phased, he kept playing and another string broke. The crowd was heart-broken, never before had this happened. He kept playing until finally only one string remained. He played as few violinists had ever played with just a bow and one string. Never had there been such applause and reception. In life, it is not what you do when everything goes well, it is what you do when everything goes wrong.

I lived through the Great Depression. I know what it is like to wear patched clothes, re-soled shoes. I can still see my father re-soling our shoes by kerosene lamp-light, in a house on a dirt road where most of the people went to bed hungry. I can still hear my mother, weeping after the voting polls where she worked as a Republican poll watcher during the all Democrat Primary voting in this solid Democrat state and the fact that she could remember both of my grandmothers weeping because they were having to sell everything sell-able just to pay the taxes on their farm land. My father, and his family, needed our milk cow, but he sold the cow in order to pay taxes. Besides, we did not have any feed for the cow except cotton seed. Today's spoiled generations cannot imagine what real poverty was like during the Great Depression. It was written with an indelible pen on the minds of everyone who lived through it. Many did not live through it. There was a funeral at the church almost every week. My parents, grandparents, the aunts and uncles who lost everything talked about this disaster of government until their death.

Roosevelt, with his Communist Vice President Henry Wallace, his Communist Chief of Staff Harry Hopkins, others in the Democrat controlled government, thought they could solve the problems of unemployment on the farms and in the factories by passing out subsidies to the workers in the form of butter and cheese while stabilizing the farms by cutting down crops and letting them die in the fields. The corn could not even be fed to the animals. The SS troops of Roosevelt, and these were Americans, just like the Americans who killed the 85 women and children at Waco, Texas, killed 50 million pigs and buried them. My great grandfather, Elder P. T. Lucas, one of the founders of Mt. Olive College, wrote, after he had returned for a Baptist meeting in Nashville, Tennessee involved in the Great Depression, “It is not over until it is over and it will not be over for a long time”.

Things improved with WWII, unemployment was reduced and with the military industrial complex and our continued warfare we have kept up the “phantom” activity of smoke and mirror prosperity. We actually believe that when you get in a hole, in order to get out, you keep digging. We actually believe, that when you get in debt for 1000 dollars, you loan yourself 1000 dollars an then you write off the bad debt which you cannot repay on your taxes as a loss. We actually believe that prosperity comes when you keep raising the appraisal on property so you can keep raising the taxes on the property, further enslaving those ambitious enough to own property with all the risk involved (insurance, maintenance, crime etc.) The so-called Carbon Tax, an international taxation on the very air you breathe is still being pursued even after Copenhagen. Some liberals, anxious to solve the world's economic problems … so many countries in the throws of insolvency (Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Dubai, U.K. etc.) are promoting taxation on every security trade in America. They maintain that the trillions from this taxation will bail out America and most other countries of the world. America owes 100 trillion in national debt and future promises … that is 100, 12 zeros.

Most people have the pipe dream that they cannot do anything about anything and they just believe anything thrown at them. In spite of TEA Parties, warnings about the future economics status of everyone still breathing. In the very county in which I live, a plurality, this week, on Primary election day, voted for a sales tax increase. They had the erroneous idea because of the promises and prodding of the crooks involved in local government that their property taxes would not be raised IF they voted for a sales tax increase. Because they are dumb sheep, they thought a sales tax would equalize. The very next day, the government big wheels announced they would immediately raise real estate taxes. Governor Charles B. Aycock, governor around 1900, who attended a one room school in Wayne country with both my grandfathers, said, in his history book on North Carolina, “you raise ad volorem taxes a few mills at a time so people will not notice it much”. The “pick pocket” tax people stopped using mills long ago … they hardly think of pennies anymore (a penny is 100 mills). How long will it be before the dollar, which is now worth about 7 cents, will be insignificant to the tax collector, purveyor of slavery?

In the new science of utopian anthropology, the bioethics of the world, seeking to control the world population and the conditions of mankind in the world through genetic engineering are trying to establish equality thorough cell manipulation. They actually believe they can genetically change cells so that people can be programmed to live shorter lives to act in a more humanist way … Be real nice to one another and everyone will be on an even playing field … total equality.

In our study of human anatomy, when you amputate a limb, finger, arm, leg etc, even after the stub heals and the anatomy, physiology and neurology are no longer there you still have “phantom” feelings. Thank God, Americans who have given much for their country will still have “phantom” feelings and memories of what liberty was like here in this land of the free and home of the brave before enslavement.
