            The greatest value in the pilgrimage of life is your contact with those with whom you can peer into their soul. God deliver me from politicians, pastors, physicians, even poets who have never peered into the souls of others.

            Recently, like most by-standers, I have paid limited attention to these political phonies who claimed they want to represent the common man as president of our nation. I'm talking about the republican contingent. Like Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, they have not one iota of imagination as to what the average hardworking, God fearing, tax paying American faces in his daily struggle for survival. Where would Mr. Trump be if not for the magnanimity of his inheritance, the Bush's and their inheritance from grandfather bush who hobnobbed with Hitler. I just want to vomit when I hear these frauds talk about their concern for my country, the country to which I have given all and they have given nothing. The anxiety of these 17 pretenders in restoring some essence of sanity to the nation. Like Bill and Hill who should be in jail, these people have no understanding or concern about the souls of man (perhaps that former preacher-governor of Arkansas, who said he attended a seminary, might know something about a soul.)

            My folks own most of the land on the dirt road, where I was born... no power, phone or water lines (this road has now been paved, is named for my father, the Joe Morris Rd.) Across one area of the farm was an old house in which lived Ms. Lutoria Waddell. I had never talked with the woman, had only seen her sitting on her front porch. My mother would stop and leave some food for her. I remember that my father had taken an old mattress to her house when some women at the church had told him about the mattress on which Ms. Lutoria was resting when they visited her when sick (at that time in my early life, before my travels around the world, before I saw hospitals in Africa, places where people slept on mats.) Back then, 70 years ago, we plowed with mules. I must've been around 13 or 14 plowing with mules across the road from Ms. Lutorias house. When I stopped for the mules to rest for awhile, I would go and sit on the steps porch and talk with her. I found in her, a tender soul. She was the first one to get me interested in silica... the most abundant element on earth, the element of sand and stone. She was the one who adjusted my interest in "grounding," the value of grounded magnetism to our bodies functions. To this day, I am convinced that our early ancestors had few sicknesses because they did not wash their bodies as much as we do now. The dirt (silica) on their bodies in contact with the largest organ of the body, the skin, removed the toxins of disease. Some smart scientist have now decided that the feet, coming in contact with dirt, is the best physical-physiological treatment the body can know in its conflict with pathology. Ms. Lutoria told me that I was wise to plow barefoot, my feet in the God given earth, provider of all mans needs, "grounded" with the magnetism of the earth.

            This tender soul was in her early 80's, the product of a tough life. Back then, when her husband died, a widow got a child's share of his estate as well as a life tendency in the home. So, from her share of the farm, rented out, she tried to live. There was no social security, welfare, etc, at that time in our countries life. One man from the church would prepare her garden and she did have a few laying hens. Her only son had been killed early in World War II. The 10,000$ insurance policy had been used to pay off the farm, repair her house and wire her house after the power lines had come in and she had electric lights. She had never owned a store bought dress... made a few dollars sewing and mending for people. She had three daughters, they had all left home to work in Baltimore... seldom returned home because they could not bring a husband or friends home to a house without plumbing.

            Ms. Lutoria loved to read. One of her neighbors would bring past issues of "The Grit Magazine." She had memorized most of the bible, had not been to town in many years, nor seen a doctor in many years. I stopped by to see her one time, she was eating her meal, nothing on her plate but butter beans, but I never heard her complain about her plight in life, that her old house leaked, that she was rough with arthritic pain. She was always so happy to see me, I truly believe she had peered into my soul.

            The only thing that people in that community would remember about her today, is that when her old house finally caught fire and burned down, she had come charging out the front door carrying her most precious possession... her sewing machine. My mother had told me that she had been placed into the poor house (county home) where she did not live very long. The county buried her in a cheap cardboard coffin, but did bring her back to lay her besides her husband in the family graveyard. I understand her daughters and grandchildren did come down to the graveside service, stayed in town in a motel, where they had running water. My mother said that Ms. Lutoria had grandchildren who had never seen her, so they opened her coffin at the graveyard. I can only imagine and imagination is one of mans greatest assets, the joy that would have entwined Ms. Lutoria's soul if she could have seen her own grandchildren. The mystery of life, why the pilgrimage of some human beings should be so tragic. Perhaps this is what writers such as Shakespeare was attempting to bring out when he wrote his tragedies... what Jesus was attempting to teach when he talked about the tragedies of many lives.

            How long will Americans be embarrassed-insulted with news about the mayhem involved in the abortions of planned parenthood. The selling of body parts for transplant from those who just happened to die conveniently in a hospital. Most hospitals can hardly wait to open the body of a deceased family member IF they have permission ahead of time to transplant body parts. I understand many persons, almost dead, are opened before death... of course without benefit of anesthesia. Body parts have become a money making business. We have become a profane civilization. There was a time when missionaries would have been sent to convert such heathens. The soul of man does not have mass, identity. Before my warn out body is cremated, it is worth nothing except maybe 80 cents for the chemicals that could be retrieved. The most valuable part of my existence, that which makes me what I am, my personality... that for which Jesus died, will take flight at my death accompanied by my guardian angel. My soul will never die.

            I was 7 years old when my paternal grandmother, Martha Lucas Morris, died. I still remember what one of the presiding preachers said at her funeral. Ms. Martha lies here in front of us, in this great church, but her soul is in heaven. I have that personal insurance with many, in whom I peered at their soul, including Ms. Lutoria Waddell. Now we understand the graciousness of death. 

Speaking Truth

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).

Faith never judges god by circumstances. Faith is accepting what god gives us. Our faith should guide us through any circumstance, rather than calling on faith to get us through a circumstance. There is little in life more definitive than death. Although the mortality rate is still 100% we shun death. Every time we pass a cemetery, a funeral home, we realize the inevitability of death. When I was young, the Christian family wanted the Christian family members funeral at the church. The only funerals at the funeral home or graveside were those who were not a church member, who had never made a profession of faith. Now, expensive funerals- cheap families, most Christians have a cheap funeral. The church member, faithful in life to a church, should have their funeral at their church. So it cost more, what better way for a family to spend?

Our world is in a state of confusion. majoring on minor things. A famous nursery rhyme, "Alice in Wonderland", "It makes no difference which road you take if you don't know were you are going." often majoring in minor things, confusion, we are afraid to speak the truth about anything. The world has become politically correct... The pastor as well as the politician. God will surely hold that preacher- pastor accountable, who can stand week after week in front of a congregation, when he knows full well that most of the people to who he is preaching, are just pretending.

One of my pastor friends told me about a recent experience with a death in his church family. One couple in his church had one son, who as a teenager after having been raised in church, took the route of unbelief, settled into a life of drugs, in denial of everything Christian. His family, his parents were unable to reach him in his fall into the bottomless pit of sins... Sin of every type, particularly drugs. In and out of rehabilitation, no one could reach him. And finally, away from home, and the parents who loved him, he died of an overdose. 

His parents asked their pastor if they could have his funeral at the church, they knew that he was well known in the community, not just because he was their son, but he was very popular with many young people. The pastor said, "Only on one condition, that you will allow me to say what needs to be said, and you, his parents, know what that is, that your son is in hell." They agreed. 

Before a full house, after the parents had entered the church, front row, right in front of the casket, the pastor went down and hugged both parents.Then, he said to the congregation, "You will hear something like you have never heard at another funeral. I have discussed this with his parents and they want me to say what I am going to say. You all know, just as I know, that their son never repented... Refused every kindness of this church. Unless, at the last moment of life, god in his mercy chose to save him, he is in hell. Eternally in Hell."

The pastor continued, "I am saying this because, for all you young people who are here, who knew him, knew the life which he had thrown away, knew the sorrow he had brought to his parents, you are heading in the same direction, unless you make a change in your life."

He said he could tell the words had an effect on those young people there. Many having never been inside a church house before. Most did not know how to even dress in respect for a funeral. This writer does not know much about death-bed repentance- salvation. The thief on the cross who repented has always been a mystery to me. Here is a man who was crucified next to our blessed lord. We know nothing about him other than he was a thief. If he had not been a thief, IF he had not been crucified next to Jesus, would he have been saved?

Climbing the rungs of ladder of life, the serious- intelligent person looks around. There are so many things that simply do not make sense. The person-hood of parents raising children who are snatched right from their grasp by Satan. Many church going parents have not realized that children see around the corner... That Sunday school and church are not important unless they see their parents taking the bible seriously. How often do your children see you reading the bible in the home? You fuss about the ten commandments being displayed at the court house, what about the school house? Church house, your house?  You fuss about health costs- Obama Care, do you realize that all corn, the most edible food in America, is GMO produced (Genetically Modified)? The most dangerous biological in nutrition. We fuss about so many people dying of cancer. Do you realize that one third of the population of America have cancer? Heading toward one half of the population of Europe having cancer? Like the poverty level of LBJ's time, 15%, poverty, is now more than 15%. With the Billions given For Haiti earthquake relief, Haiti is now in worse shape than before the earthquake or the earthquake funds. But, many big wheels like Bill Clinton got rich from it. What happens to all the money given to study nutrition, to study cancer. To bring relief to a sick world. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Charity, giving churches as well as "do-gooder" groups, need discipline- oversight in a god soaked way. 

Everything about life is a matter of grace, the grace of god... Gift to the undeserving. "I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me" (Psalm 23). 

We can depend on the chastening- correcting, rod and staff of god to guide us in truth.

Cover-Up

            Many have asked this writer, a born again Christian, my favorite hymn. There are so many favorites, I'm so glad I heard them sung in that country church as a child, because the words come back to me over and over in the very times I need them. Perhaps the one it means most, because it involves the cover up of my sins, even the sins of others; even the sins of our nation. "Calvary covers it all."

            I have become so distressed with knowledge that has become secreted from the world. Satan is most proficient in that, does not want you to know he truth, because the truth will set you free (John 8:32). Satan "basks" in fooling those who think they have been set free, the "hangers on" to their life of sin and rejection. Nothing scares Satan more than redeemed people. Nothing makes Satan happier than Pastors and congregations who do not want to be set free, who know nothing of forgiveness, nothing of real discipleship. AND, those who are already his (world, flesh, devil) those who are the spectators looking not only at the spiritual world but the political world the "foolery" promoted by academia and most of all, the media.

            We are amazed as day follows night, how things can get much worse with the cover ups of our nation. It is not just the IRS which we have known for many years to be the "shackles" of citizens (at least the 50% of Americans who pay taxes) but the questions of cover up pertaining to 9/11. (Particularly the building #7 which fell five hours after the twin towers and no plane has hit it, within a second the entire building began to drop as a whole, falling into its footprint in a precisely vertical fashion). The Waco Debacle when 85 women and children were burned alive, the Oklahoma city (Murrah building) disaster when 168 Americans were killed (nothing about this incidence makes any sense), and then McVay, the accused, put to death so quickly. OR, the obvious murder of General George Patton, the many questions about Pearl Harbor, the non-bombing of the rail road tracks that led to the Nazi death camps. Investigations, books have been written about these national mysteries, none so much as the murder of John F. Kennedy, yet, the cover ups continue.

            On each cancer patient in America, 1.2 million dollars is spent. The world of pseudoscience, pseudo medical care, fraud of big Pharma, all getting rich from cancer and "supposed cancer research". You talk about a depression, CURING CANCER WOULD REALLY CAUSE A DEPRESSION. Of course, western medical care has never cured anything, just treats symptoms at great profit.

            Recently, a women cleaning my kitchen and hid my jar of Turmeric. Health scientist, big Pharma, the media has taken great care to hide the great anti-cancer treatment with turmeric.

            Curcumin has increasingly come under the scientific spotlight in recent years, with studies investigating its potential health benefits. It has even been found to outperform pharmaceuticals in preventing disease. Curcumin is a compound found in the spice turmeric which gives it a natural pigment. It has been linked to a range of health benefits, including potential protection against prostate cancer, Alzheimer's, protection against heart failure, diabetes, and arthritis. Two studies add to that mix with benefits for arterial aging and cognition.
"The first of the news studies, published in Experimental Gerontology and performed by scientists from the University of Colorado, found that curcumin was associated with improved vascular health in aging lab mice.
Curcumin is a diferuloylmethane derived from turmeric (popularly called "curry powder").

            On this writers many trips through India, spending much time in Asia I became increasingly amazed at the lack of cancer, in spite of every poverty obstacle, to the health of Asian people. It is unbelievable that substances  given us by God, or not used simply because big Pharma -big medicine cannot make big bucks off them. A substance which I have pushed for many years, charcoal, its healing qualities is not promoted because big dollars cannot be made from it.

            It makes no difference on how much money you have if you are dead, AND, the "sick care" world does not make money from dead people. Keep people alive, whether in nursing homes, prisons, wherever, just keep them addicted to the exotic chemicals of big Pharma.

            If dead, money means less, and less to you. Of course your relatives and others are busy scrounging for it. I am just as convinced as I am alive, that an employee tried to kill this writer recently. Simply because, he has found something in my house, in my large collection of antiquarian books, -comics -magazines -photographs that he could sell at a great price. The only thing, the problem, with any publicity about the "find" I would know about it. No one gets as sick as I got so quickly, pain beyond compare -blacking out without a toxic cause. Of course, the hospital did a toxicology study, the report is not final. Think of it, a man with no "concerned" family or friends, everyone just waiting to get their cut of the pie, who would question anything.

            America should be concerned about its financial health. You hear little about it from the financial prognosticators. The nation of China, ready to pass America as a super military -financial power, hoarding the worlds gold reserves. Our weak fiat dollar is based on oil prices... the world trading oil for dollars. China is preparing to back its paper money with a gold standard (it's money backed by gold). So it was in America until FDR killed the gold standard, killed capitalism, killed the incentive for work. The dollar -oil deal, was concocted by USA and Saudi Arabia. Now, China buys more oil from Saudi Arabia than does America. China owns the American debt and the debt of most nations of the world. Can you imagine the depression when the world chooses the Chinese money backed gold, instead of Americas worthless paper dollars. All this information is covered up by a crooked regime, a mid recession, a regime -president about to spend one hundred million dollars on a vacation in Africa.

            The greatest cover up known to man, the cover up for which every Christian rejoices, Jesus, on Calvary, covered all our sins. Not just this writers rotten sins, but on Calvary, he paid the price of the sins and sicknesses of the world (Isaiah 53). Son of god, sacrificial lamb without fault of blemish, "Jesus paid it all", all to him I owe.

Chock Full of Nuts

I was walking on the beach in Ghana, Africa, a black man, nominal intelligence, interested in me as a tourist and as an American, wanted to practice his English, and started talking to me about his admiration for America, his great desire to go to America. He said, “I can only imagine such a great country which has given us all the great discoveries of the world, even sending men to the moon.”

I did not have the heart or the time to disillusion him, there is probably more evidence that America did not send men to the moon in 1969, than that they did, in fact it is almost a scientific certainty that Americans never went to the moon (mystery of the Van Allen radiation belt). That in spite of our industrial expertise we are rapidly becoming a third-world nation; exporting our factories, as well as our jobs. Through self-restrictions, self-imposed, self-inflicted, organized policies of communism sprinkled with inherited Christian and patriotic symbolism, we have allowed the destroyers, instead of the builders of our once divinely-inspired, sovereign-protected nation, to take over.

The producers, those with intellectual acumen, those with moral integrity are now ruled by the non-productive, lazy, spoiled, hapless, indifferent. The vote of tax-evader, drug addict, drop-outs of life and living, counts just as much as the industrious, workaholic entrepreneur. The one who wants nothing, owns nothing, cares for nothing except his animalistic, sensual necessities, is priced as a voter. (His religion is his belly, all interests are mostly sexual)

Most of my relatives, family, friends, and indeed, even the people around me whom I know enough to evaluate their lifestyle, are on a bullet train traveling as fast as possible, straight to hell. They have a totally unnatural love for the world, the things of the world, and so despise, and are so offended, by anyone who lives and thinks on a higher level. Long ago, they stopped believing that man is made in the image of God. Even those pretenders who warm padded church pews, are offended by the thought that children of God, believers in Jesus Christ are filled with the Holy Spirit of a trying God...much more concerned with what the world thinks of them, than what God knows about them.

Thank God I have known real Christians, real patriots in my years, men who had not yielded to the love of the things in the world, have not been corrupted by the desires of the flesh. I attended the funeral of James Evans, minister of the Gospel for 75 years. I saw him wearing patched trousers. I attended the funeral of Hardy Tauten, legislator in Raleigh for many years, the last time he was in my presence, he was wearing shoes without socks. Even though a Democrat, he had not been bought off by the cabal of Satanic corrupters in the state capital.

The very first chapter of the Bible, separation, God divided light from darkness (Genesis 1:4). In the church, in politics, in business, even in education, America has become a cauldron of ambiguity...no clear lines of separation, almost impossible to tell the conservative from the liberal, Christian from anti-Christ, committed student from one just wanting to get by. Business in a stranglehold of unexpecteds and excessive taxation. As a nation, buying shiploads of everything from abroad, sending the largest container ships known to man, back in the other direction, empty, because we produce nothing. Our ancestors are turning in their grave to think we have become a welfare society.

We have no pride anymore in our exceptionalism, readers of the Bible know that in the Old Testament, sons were always traced by lineage, always the son's name, and then his father, there was pride and security in a family name. Our country observed special recognition for its heroes of battle, and even the names of the battle, it was unheard of to consider the fact that our own country, our own politicians, our own forces of security, such as the CIA and FBI, are known to be enemies within, willing to kill fellow citizens, destroy our own property to obtain an objective.

Did we ever think that our own tax funds would be turned against us? Did we ever think that politicians would feather their own nest with their fellow citizen's tax funds. Did we ever think that a President would talk out of both sides of his mouth, unashamed, as he discusses limiting government expense while he, himself, and his family, forays into one of the world's poorest countries...40 transports planes, an entourage of 3,000 people, taking over several five star hotels, spending $200,000,000 a day; at a time when probably 15% or 20% of the country's citizens are jobless, 106,000 veterans are homeless, many Americans depending on food stamps.

The Czechoslovakian writer, unlike the controlled new media, politically correct in this country, writes truth. It is only truth that will set us free. (John 8:32)

Reasons I am Voting Democrat

Addition by Dr. Morris: I was President of the NC Young Democrats when I decided to leave the Democrat party...in the early 60s. I am convinced that JFK was assassinated by his own country, and many other things such as Waco, Oklahoma City, and even 9/11. Governor Sanford and Representative Fountain told me that Democrats would rule North Carolina because the minorities and people who get government checks would keep them in power. I do not see how any Christian could continue to vote for the Democrat party...for no other reason than abortion and the gay agenda. I realize that poor white Christians such as eastern NC baptists, and poor blacks such as their liberated, nationalistic churches have been misled.

I'm voting Democratic because an inexperienced US Senator gives great speeches that make me feel good.
I'm voting Democratic because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
I'm voting Democratic because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.
I'm voting Democratic because I believe three or four elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution through judicial fiat every few days to suit some idealists who would otherwise NEVER get their agendas past the voters.
I'm voting Democratic because I don't want a stimulus check to spend. Let the government spend it for me.
I'm voting Democratic because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
I'm voting Democratic because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the employees (after taxes).
I'm voting Democratic because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.
I'm voting Democratic because I believe that churches should only be allowed for political speeches.
I'm voting Democratic because I don't want Doctors who were at the top of their classes to operate on me. I want a government employee who makes $50k a year and couldn't hack it as a contractor or an engineer doing my surgery.
I'm voting Democratic because I believe that paying $4.00 a gallon or more is no reason to drill for the mountain of oil we are sitting on in THIS country. We wouldn't want to have to move a couple of polar bears now would we?
I'm voting Democratic because when we pull out of Iraq, I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.
I'm voting Democratic because I like it when planes fly into buildings full of civilians. I want to see more of that.
I'm voting Democratic because I believe that when the terrorists don't have to hide from us over there, when they come over here I don't want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with.
I'm voting Democratic because I don't want to eat poison food and drink infected water. We all know Republicans love that stuff. (Ever wonder why the most left wing country in the world (China) is the most polluted?)
I'm voting Democratic because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.
I'm voting Democratic because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I'm going to marry my TV.
I'm voting Democratic because I REALLY believe there is no bias in the media.

Climbing the Ladder

Albert Einstein said the most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible.  Aristotle said the mind “is a vast cosmos“.  From everything I have read, everything I have experienced in a long life, the most incomprehensible fact of life is the incomprehensible human mind.  The difference in the human mind and the brain of the lower animals is our ability to reason and think.  The trillions of neurons in the human brain, our ability to comprehend, to negotiate life through our senses, would fill many books. 

In 1964, Justice Potter Stewart tried to explain "hard-core" pornography, or what is obscene, by saying, "I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced, but I know it when I see it. “  The morality of pornography is as debatable as the sanctity of life.  There are those who compromise with abortion or euthanasia the same way that a sighted sophisticate questions ones evaluation of what is and what is not pornographic.  There was some debate in the Catholic church in the 1500’s when Pope Julius II commissioned Michelangelo to paint 12,000 feet of the ceiling of the Sistine chapel, and the Last Judgment, considered his best work, was considered by some to be pornographic.  So it has been with most of the art world in the great galleries of Europe.  But there is a direct and distinct difference in art and pornography.  Great works of art have not stayed in my sight memory bank, but I can well remember the first pornographic picture I ever saw. 

I believe pornography has an addictive control much like that of a drug.  The addiction of pornography is well documented.  2.84 billion dollars a year on pornography is spent just advertised online.  89 dollars a second is spent on porn.  Of 26,000 college students interviewed in a recent poll, 69% spend time online looking at pornography.  260 new porn sites go online each day.  89% of all pornography is created in the United States.  San Fernando valley, California, is the porn capitol of the world. 

Just a few years ago, in most cities of any size, usually in the inner city, alongside the strip clubs and low class bars, you would find some “dirty book” stores where you could easily buy pornography in the form of magazines, books, films, etc.  Now, today, without you realizing it all of you who own a computer have a dirty book store with every evil, obscene, item of trash Satan can create available to you and your children right in your living room.  Such is available not only in your house, but at the courthouse, the schoolhouse, the church house, anyone who owns a computer.  One young man, who worked for me, and who also was the technical person for computers at Circuit City said, “Amazed at the pornography watched by ministers and people of prominence in the city.”  It is addictive and this is an addiction which will harm your children more then illegal drugs.  They have a chance of recovery from illegal drugs.  The pornography registering on the retina’s of the eyes, traveling through the optic chiasm and registering in the calcarine cortex in the brain at the back of the head where all vision takes place right along with all learning, cannot be erased. 

The most blessed thought known to the mind of man, is the love of God.  Why would anyone, mix pornography with the message of redemption from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Why would anyone mix good nourishing food with garbage from the sewer and in the digestive system of the body still expect health.  Pornography is just as unhealthy for the mind as sewer refuse for the digestive system.

Faced with mounting pressure to do something – anything – the United States House of Representatives last week passed the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009. 159 pages long, the bill seeks to overhaul the way the government deals with food, recalls, and safety issues. Does it surprise you that with the taxes you pay to local, state and Federal government, the price you pay for food, whether unprepared or prepared, we still have these constant problems of contaminated food?

Salmonella, botulism, etc, many of which have mutated into several strains, which commonly used antibiotics and other drugs have no effect. Thousands of children die each year from diarrhea, to say nothing of the horror story with elderly citizens and even pets. No one escapes the negligence of bureaucrats, many of whom call themselves scientists, who are legislated to provide oversight to food supplies produced in this country and food shipped into this country. When you consider the list: ground beef, peanuts, spinach, even pistachios, think of the money saved by terrorists in completely crippling a nation with chemical and biological warfare, instead of the long and expensive process of producing nuclear missiles.

Each time I write a letter to one of these many government agencies, US Public Health, USJD, FTC, FCC, SEC, etc. I always ask the question, “Are you just paid to sleep?” If I get a response, which is seldom, and which is always just a carefully manufactured pacifier, spit out of a computer and sent to anyone who writes to them, you realize that most of these government employees are those paid enough to buy the illegal street drugs or have a hangover from all the cocktail parties sponsored by the lobbyists where they make all their sexual contacts and try to get an entrée with someone for a better job for better pay so they can afford better drugs and better vacations. After all, as one government employee told me long ago, “We spend Mondays talking about what we did on the weekend. We spend Tuesdays arranging to have a long weekend off by not working on Friday. We spend Thursdays talking about what we are going to do Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, the only day we have to work is Wednesday and most of us have one day a week off for recreation, such as playing golf. We take off every legal, secular and religious holiday. There is no work like government work because, like the early missiles, we won't work and we can't get fired.”

My largess to God's work is well known. God has richly blessed me in spite of everything. My blindness has never slowed me down. I work every day, even at age 79. My frugality, in spite of indecent taxation, allows me to invest and my real joy comes in helping others. This is a two-edged sword because there is always someone or some group with a hand out.

Recently, two black preachers came to me asking for help for a worthy project, like sickle cell, which I have at times tried to help, these largely black projects depend almost entirely on contributions from white people. I asked these two black preachers if they had approached the one black congressman from this state, Representative Melvin Watts. They said, “He will not even meet with us, even though our chief project is in his district. He will not give us the time of day.”

Another black woman preacher came to me because, according to her story, she was going to feed homeless people from her church facility. I gave her about $2,000 before I learned that there was no such work going on there. She did tell me one thing which was very interesting and which shows the pretensions effecting many black and white ministries. She had been going to the jail to witness and try to help the women inmates. She said, after her arrival, her going through the processes of getting inside where the women are located, most of the time they were all sitting around playing cards. When she arrived with her Bible, they got very religious and even wanted to sing some hymns. They would tell her how sorry they were for their sins and were full of repentance while she was there. One day, on her way out, she remembered that she had left one of her books and she went back to retrieve it. Already, before she had gotten out of the jail, the card games for these 'repentant sinners' had already restarted.

My experience with non-government “do-gooder” organizations, even the Red Cross, has not been complimentary. During all the years in the military, on staff at military hospitals, even as a patient myself, I have never received any assistance nor seen much assistance from anyone from the Red Cross, even though they promote the idea of being available at any time of distress. Like a friend of mine, a Two Star General (Major General) who is a well known speaker before Christian groups, was a combat field commander but he said he had never had a Christian Chaplin say one word to him about his immortal soul. I repeat again as I have repeated so often, “Are most people just going through the motions?” I know some individuals who are paid big salaries with the United Fund, Lions International, Rotarian, AMA and other professional and even denominational hierarchy. Who would not like a job which pays big salaries, big expense accounts, big titles, big banquets, big introductions, big vacations, in fact, just being 'Mr. Big'?

This nation is a super power, with super money, super science, super education, and our superiority has made us a beacon light attracting people from all over the world who want the opportunity of being superior themselves, and, much to my sorrow, many of whom just want to mooch off this wealthy nation. Many are getting tired of it. The mayor of New York City is supplying money for their moochers to move to Florida. There is no reason why our empathy should be misused and why we cannot find the concerned patriots to well use our wealth and knowledge.

Our food supplies, care for the elderly, care for those in mental hospitals, should have oversight. There is no reason not to use our knowledge in helping a country such as Bangladesh, where 700,000 people are bitten by snakes every year and at least 7,000 die from these snake bites. There is no reason why our financial largess, our scientific knowledge, our Christian heritage should not extend to the diseased and dying, especially children, from bad water and mosquitoes in Africa. God blesses those who bless others.

You don't have to look very far to find that everyone is a victim of something. Most of us are a victim of the heresy of the bottom line. All industry, all commerce is built on the bottom line. In the church, in the college even at your favorite fast food cafe, everyone is counting numbers instead of making numbers count.

There was a time when the university learning experience was one of life's greatest challenges, becoming a well-read, well-rounded, well-informed, well-traveled individual has been replaced by just passing the course, getting a piece of paper. There was a time when, next to the home, the relationship with others of your faith, in your place of worship was, a God-preparing, eternal vista for life after death. There was a time when the restaurant visit was an enjoyable leisurely gourmet experience. This is not in today's callous intemperance, impersonal, bare table, economizing, presentation which lends no credence to a memorable event. Poorly trained servers are only exceeded by the impoverishment of chef experience.

Today, it is necessary to make a transatlantic trip in order to hear “bon appetit”. Please, please bring back the days of airline food, when airlines were interested in serving a decent meal with good corn on your tray instead of inspecting the corns on your feet.

After President Nixon returned from his opening of Communist China in 1972, I was one of the first Americans to visit China along with a plane load of doctors and lawyers. I had stood on the Island of Macau and just wondered what life was like behind the red, translucent curtain of Communist China. I thought I had witnessed poverty in eastern NC. But, the poverty of the coolies was beyond description, living in crowded communes all wearing the same uniform, all with the same haircuts (men and women) a totally controlled, collectivist, authoritarian, Godless society. Having totally eradicated every visage of spiritual faith and tradition, even to the beating up of all monuments and tombstones to build roads, the Communist system is simply utilitarian. Those who SEEK communism in this country have never SEEN raw communism, the enslavement of human beings, the tyranny of free will as found in a totalitarian system. “The end justifies the means” applies to every area of life from the cradle to the grave, with total control. You eat the communist food. You dress the communist dress. You live in the communist's house. You are cremated in the communist's crematorium. Like the hogs and chickens on the collectivist's farm, you are a slave to the system.

Incomprehensible, a democratic republic buying cheap, slave industry merchandise paid for by our almost worthless fiat dollars, and then borrowing back these dollars so our coupon clipping, entitlement supported populous, can buy these consumer items is a vicious circle that should be an insult to all freedom loving, human-rights-supporting citizens and an embarrassment to the financial wizards of God fearing democracies.

In two years, mark my word, with things going as they are now, under the Obama administration, there will be so much inflation and so much authoritarian control, political correctness will mean very little to anyone, even the talking heads on television. The liberal talking and thinking academics, the minorities who actually believe their black messiah would make a change in their life, are taking over the church and making it powerless. So the liberal fringe element, communists are taking over every area of government believing “the end justifies the means”. We are enslaved by a national debt which can never be repaid, looking down the barrel of a gun, pointed at us, by the lenders who just may come over to collect their indebtedness.

Desperately twittering and clinging to the proposition that even though all men are created equal, our rights have been subtracted. Remember, God did not believe in vote taking anymore than those who in military authority depended on taking a vote before making this a land of the free and a home of the brave. The promiscuous society believing in political correctness; that anything goes; if it feels good, do it; bad is good, has come back to bite and even eat us.

A WWII veteran told me recently, “I am so tired of government lying, so tired of political correctness, so tired of the talking heads just telling us what they think we need to know. Where is God, where is the devil? I am getting so I don't believe in either.” I said, “do you believe in the wind? You have never seen either but you have certainly seen what they can do. You have seen what the devil can do to the lives of people, you have seen what wind can do to a coastline in hurricane.” I became a published writer in the fourth grade, the following is a poem sent by my teacher Ida Champion sent to a youth magazine, Wee Wisdom

Who has seen the wind? Neither you, nor I

But when the breeze blows through the trees

The wind is passing by.
