Memorial Day- a Veterans Twilight Years

Just a song a twilight, when the lights are low,

Behind tall wire fences, tall hedges, and multi-million dollar houses, gated elites  communities, the big deals of our society. The cocktail party circuit, the power brokers of our community, on this Memorial Day, are enjoying life with their outdoor cooking- exotic cocktails. Most of them do not have any military family members to remember, they, and their families, were making the big bucks while the children of the poor hardworking "neighbors" of their nation, were giving life and limb on the battlefield. And, on this Memorial Day, most veterans, like this 85 year old veteran, is working, still making a living. 

Enabling this type patriotism, a government headed by a commander and chief who does not have a valid social security or selective service card. This alleged president is a pretender, a hoax. Using the social security card of a long dead Connecticut citizen. Both president Obama and his wife, lawyers, pretending to be protectors of the constitution, gave up their law licenses, along with their scruples.

A big sign in the veterans hospital, Fayettville NC proclaims "The price of freedom is visible here." Back when this now totally blind veteran had a shatter of vision in the left eye, he could see the phalanx of wheelchairs, real men with white canes, at every veterans facility.  Behind the masks of the people that work there, their hypocritical smiles, just because they smile at you does not mean they are happy (At the VA hospital in Durham, we sat there with numbers, waiting to be called. a battle scarred officer, just ahead of me... Crippled, marks all over his face. I said to the employee, who drew his blood just before she drew mine, "You just saw a real hero." Her reply, "I don't know why you old men do not just go ahead and die.") The employees at most VA hospitals, should just pack up and go home. The doctors at these facilities are required to ask the question "have you considered suicide?" My answer, always, "everyday of my life." (for a very long time, I will confess, I kept a bottle of pills just for that purpose. In my early years of total blindness, loneliness, tribulations and aggravations from every side- no one to assist with anything, I actually thought I could not make it on my own. But, our blessed lord kept reminded me, I AM ALL YOU NEED. I do not believe that god would have condemned me for suicide, nor anyone else that has reached a place who cannot continue with life. I have said that to many family members of friends who took that way out. We know that God forgave Moses, David, Paul, for murder. He is certainly capable of forgiving suicide. It has taken most of my life to fully realize the sovereignty, as well as the mercy- grace, of my creator). 

The Veterans Administration, Government, those of you that pay taxes, would be very happy if all veterans committed suicide. Just think how cheap it is to bury a veteran in a cheap "tin" casket with a flag. compared to giving a veteran the healthcare which he deserves. The taxpayer, in servitude to government- stupid beyond words to describe, goes right along with the support of the unproductive- welfare- entitlements- illegal's- government tax grants, to anyone for anything. Most veterans know that the best men they knew, are already buried.  Until The Korean War, battlefield deaths were buried on foreign soil (126,000). Korea, the government started bringing veterans home for burial (50,000 Korea, 58,000 Vietnam). I was still in service, but in a reserve capacity during Vietnam. I still remember the screams of my neighbor across the street, when her only sons casket was brought into their home. Killed in Vietnam. 

In Shakespeare's "McBeth", lady McBeth was constantly washing her hands after she helped murder the king. She said their was not enough perfume in Persia, water in the oceans of the world, to cleanse her hands from what she had done. WWI, one newspaper headline, "Great Battle Fought, Only One Combatant Killed." Just one man killed, but he was so important to his family. He only had one life also. There is not enough water in the oceans of the world, all the wars in history, to cleanse the hands of warriors, who have ended the lives of their fellow man... No matter the circumstances. During the Civil War during the Battle of Cold Harbor, over 20,000 were killed on both sides. Battle field covered with the bodies of dead soldiers and dead horses. One dying General, who's horse had been shot from under him, was negotiating between the corpses, and one dying soldier said to him "General are we winning?"

With death, you never win. Like the holocaust of Jews in Germany, like the holocaust of the unborn in China and even in America, the killing of gods greatest creation, the human body, is never winning. The human body- the human mind, capable of so much good: capable of so much horror: capable of beautiful words- beautiful music. Capable of so much love, toward everyone because every person is your neighbor, and Jesus told us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31) Most young men's brains are not fully developed- wired until the age of 25. Young men, casualties of war, capable of so much love. Just think of what it does to young men to see their friends spattered by IUD's on the battlefield. Until WWII, bayonets were often used in warfare. Using the closeness- civility of swords- bayonets- horses, gives an entirely personal appearance to war, rather than the impersonal callousness of drones and bombs, dropped from the air by planes. Can we even imagine what it does to the lives of children? Who want only the security- safety from parents in homes. Again, Jesus told us, that it is better for a person to have a millstone hung around his neck, and dropped into the ocean (Matthew 18:86), then to abuse children, any children, any skin color, even those in so called third world countries. The eliteness at Memorial Day events, those who can afford to take a holiday. Those that make so much money from continuous warfare, do not think of the young men and women, who gave and then gave again, some everything, without any thoughts of discretion. Our fellow citizens living in Multi-million dollar homes, know nothing of communal showers- slit trenches, there is no pleasure in another's pain. But, the very least our fellow citizens can do, is demand that government care for the productive, instead of the unproductive. That in the big-bucks spent on trash television and other shows, should emphasize that lifestyles in America would be far different if not for the sacrifice of those in love with this country- willing to defend her. I have never understood those who get a thrill from sleeping in a tent on a campsite. But, they have the privilege of going inside a building during a storm.  

Those who relax on Memorial Day, do not know the reality of Memorial Day. Just as those who do not observe our lords supper, do not know the reality of redemption- salvation, paid for by the ultimate sacrifice, God himself, taking on the sin of the entire world. 

The only Memorial we are instructed to observe is the remembrance of what Christ did for us on a cross. We remember that his broken body, when we take a small piece of bread, is for our healing (Isaiah 53:5 1 Peter 2:24). In memory, we take a sip of wine "remembrance" of his blood, forgiveness of sin. 

On this Memorial Day, 2015, twilight years, this old veteran remembers those who gave their life for their country (and they had only one life also), as well as remembering, for the Christian, what Christ did for us on Calvary. this is true Christianity, true patriotism, and there is no reason the two remembrances ( in spite of this blarney of separation of church and state ) should not remembered together.

The truth is the truth whether anyone believes it or not. We live in a world of fakery, politics (no politician would get elected if honest), advertising (hair color "does she or doesn't she?" world exercising because of athletic shoes), synthetics which can not be digested utilized in all food preparation, big pharma determining scientific drug usage through "controlled" experimentation.

Most Americans remember what they were doing on the morning of September 11, 2001. This writer was sitting in his office with his secretary, the television was on, unusual because this blind man tries to keep sound interference to a minimum. I heard the commotion on screen and she began to describe the chaos involved in lower Manhattan. Then, she began to dance around and talk about her delight in seeing the carnage. I said, "What is wrong with you? Thousands of people are probably being killed." She said, "I have lived in NYC, you do not know how I despise those people up there."

There have been many questions about the matters that make no sense. Like Waco, the Murrah building, Oklahoma city, things that make no sense, whatsoever. Even the commission appointed to investigate the 9/11 tragedy has distanced itself from its own report. There are many unanswered questions, how and why the 47 story building number 8, hit by nothing, imploded and fell several hours later? The greatest question, buildings considered architectural marvels, built to withstand the "perils" of nature, topple by planes "supposedly" flown by amateurs. The buildings were explicitly designed to withstand a high speed jet impact. Even seasoned pilots have stated that it would be difficult to ram a plane into such a building. More spectacular, over 100 witnesses on the ground heard explosions in the buildings AFTER the planes had struck. Physicists, architects, scientists, continue to ask questions. Families of the 2,080 killed, firefighters, police officers, should ask questions. Last year an opinion poll in the UK found that only 7% of the people believed the official report. Outside the NATO area, world wide opinion polls indicate a highly skeptical public attitude to the Washington account of 9/11. The secular humanist, politically correct, American news media, know that dumbed down American's will believe anything.

Here are some of the unanswered questions.

Could 9/11 have been nipped in the bud by the CIA's then secret Osama Bin Laden unit who identified at least two of the alleged 9/11 hijackers as they entered the US, or the FBI's three field offices which were refused permission to investigate individuals connected with the attacks?

Was 9/11 really such a surprise, as claimed by the Bush Administration? Not so according to newly released CIA documents (7), (8). Bush received several CIA intelligence warnings that attacks were 'imminent' in the summer of 2001. Yet Bush ignored them and took no defensive measures. Why?

Richard Clarke, (9) Bush's anti-terrorism coordinator, has accused the CIA of deliberately withholding information that could have prevented the attacks. Ali Soufan, at the time the FBI's lead Al Qaeda expert, has also criticized the CIA for blocking investigations of suspects prior to 9/11 (10). Why would the CIA and senior FBI administrators have made these decisions?

The events of the day have led to many independent experts posing still unanswered questions.

Andreas von Buelow, German intelligence expert and one time Defense Minister echoes the voices of many US military experts (and Gore Vidal writing in The Observer): "Why, for 60 decisive minutes, the military and intelligence agencies let the fighter planes stay on the ground?" (11)

There has been no detailed explanation for the unprecedented collapse of three multistory steel frame buildings, World Trade Centre 1, 2, and 8 at near free fall speed, landing neatly in their own footprints. Most of the planes' jet fuel was burnt off in the initial impacts and Building 8 was not even hit by a plane. (911truth.org)

More spectacular and not taking anything from those in the plane shot down, the downed plane in the Pennsylvania ground, obviously shot down...a real curiosity, around the most protected defense building in the world, was the Pentagon actually hit by a plane? With modern technology, everyone and his brother having a telephone in his pocket, phones which actually take pictures. Why then and now is their such a dearth of information?

The average mind can not comprehend waste...time, talent, treasure. The world's greatest waste is wasting human life, God's greatest creation. Even the Jews, ceremonial law, feasts, sacrifices, often try to fool God in his laws pertaining to animal sacrifice. Why waste unblemished animals, a required number, required flour and oil, sending up a sweet favor to God, simply because He demanded it? After all, it was simply smoke...perhaps in the smoke, God could not see deceit. In the smoke and cries of the people of the Davidic compound in Waco, the bombing at Oklahoma city, people just trying to make a living jumping from tall buildings, we have seen the height and depth of deception. We love our country but not the deception of our government.

May Day

CS Lewis, the great British writer, has said, “that the best and worst evidence for Christianity is Christians.” Christ does not need cowards to carry or defend His Cross. Good evidence of this is the reaction of Europe to a recent European court decision.

A Finnish-born mother, living in Italy with her two daughters, objected to the crucifix being displayed in the school classrooms as is the custom in Italy, a predominately Roman Catholic country. In its earlier ruling, the court had decided that the crucifix could be disturbing to some students, but the final ruling was that there is no evidence the display will have any influence on students. Mayday, Mayday, Mayday! God help us when the display of the crucifix no longer has any influence.

One month from tomorrow, the world will have May Day celebrations, mostly in communist countries. A day of political demonstrations celebrated by unions, anarchist and socialist groups. Beginning in Australia in 1856, pointing to the later 1886 Haymarket Affair (a three-day strike in Chicago, after 4 strikers were killed by police at the McCormick Harvester plant), May Day celebrates the eight-hour work day. Every communist country celebrates the first day of May with a large parade, a display of military hardware, but most of all, workers for the state. I have attended May Day parades in Russia (In Moscow, I stood at the Kremlin with the delegation from Cuba), Mongolia and China...thousands of state-controlled workers, marching with precision in their controlled uniforms, carrying their controlled banners, proclaiming the idiomatic messages of Marxism.

Mayday is also used internationally as an emergency code word for a distress signal (repeated three times, so there is no confusion). At this time in history, there should be long distress calls of “Mayday, Mayday, Mayday” as we see the globalists rebalancing the New World Order. Just as the genuineness of the crucifix in the schoolrooms of the predominately Catholic country of Italy, so at one time, was the patriotism of the stars and stripes of the American flag in every school room of this democratic republic. In most schools, even a portrait of George Washington (father of our country), a man of unequaled integrity and secular appeal, was found in every classroom; the Holy Bible was found in every classroom, and every day American school students started their day with Bible reading, prayer, and a pledge of allegiance to the flag. An innocuous, 22-word prayer, was taken out of the schools in 1963, after a ruling by the supreme court. Prayer in school has been replaced by police patrolling the hallways; there are now more problems, drop outs, lower scores than ever in the public schools.

Lucifer has worked his magic through electronics devices (TV, computer, cell phone, etc); students of the last generation have been so dumbed-down (and now these are the parents of the other dumbed-down students), that they do not even recognize the Luciferian take-down of the world, such as was present in government and among the attitudes of the people before the Great Flood, self-interest above all other interests. Americans are mostly interested in their own selfish careers, their own bank account, their own children, their own social activities, their own doctor, their own lawyer. Me, myself and I; pride, the beginning of every sin, all that is important in this me-ism society....don't bother me with facts, knowledge, I want to live in a subliminal world, making believe that everything is alright.

Who has considered that while planes, burning kerosene, caused skyscrapers to fall to the ground on 9/11, supposedly starting fires which melted the steel, while the nuclear plants in Japan, with fire many times hotter has not melted their steel? Who has thought about the 47 floor building that just fell to the ground in its own footprint hours after the other buildings fell? Has anyone answered questions about the messy Murrah building disaster in Oklahoma City.

Protestors and demonstrators in one Muslim country after another: Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Libya. Who has given thought to the obvious: the need for oil from all of these countries. In America, our muscles of faith have atrophied. We hear theologians talk about the antichrist, the antichrist is here, in our foreign policy. Thousands killed on 9/11, thousands killed since 9/11, over 4,000 military, unknown civilian casualties. Jumping into one foreign “entanglement” after another. George Washington, who said he had rather be on his farm than emperor of the war, in his farewell address to the nation, told us to beware of foreign entanglements, especially in Europe.

Are we so dumb that we cannot recognize that the antichrist has taken over and is running things in America, judiciary, banking, finance, education, healthcare. Churches do not want to hear about anything that is Christian...the evangelical church world has bought the antichrist, prosperity gospel, ecumenicalism, the idols of this world. There is shaking and quaking in our healthcare system, once the envy of the civilized world, unemployment will worsen, with increases in inflation, many will take just any job. We face impoverishment simply because of the inequities of free trade and its domino effects on world economy. In previous depressions and recessions, the entire world was not in poverty. China is the only nation that will survive present impoverishment, China is building, buying and selling, plans on the drawing board to build 10 cities the size of New York City.

I will leave you with a silver lining to every dark cloud, many of us still have the vocation of concern, the vocation of gratitude, the vocation of faithfulness. God did not bring us this far to desert us now. There is no cure for a nuclear remediation, once radiated, nothing can be reclaimed, there is no protection from radiation, but to His own, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5)

Thinking About 9/11

During the 2000 presidential election, a local carpenter was working on the exterior of my house: roof, some painting, etc. He came into to ask me about something, as always I was listening to two radios, there was a debate being replayed between the two presidential candidates: George W. Bush, son of the infamous Bush 41 and grandson of the infamous Senator Bush, and John Kerry, the ketchup king, richest person in Congress (just bought an $8 million dollar yacht in New Zealand, and tried to evade payment of $430,000 of Massachuessets taxes, he is reportedly worth $139 million, mostly because of his advantageous marriages). The repairman said to me, “who is that talking?” I said, “they are the presidential candidates.” He had no idea what I was talking about, admitted later that he knew nothing at all about politics or anything else. He said, “I just try to survive from day to day.” So it is with many Americans, enjoying the bounty of this free country, yet knowing nothing at all about how or why they have freedom.

Who is the greatest failure: the parents, the schools, or the community? Most of the uniformed have never been inside a church, their God is their belly, never read a book, never watch anything but trash on television, their world ends at the city limits. It was 9/11 2001, tomorrow we remember that morning. A black secretary was going through some notes as she and I prepared to send out information to various auction houses about some of my antiquarian collections. I have a television in my office, but it is not usually on, we need to concentrate on our work. On this particular morning, it was on, and I was aware of the catastrophe from the time it began.

I brought the matter to her attention and she described the picture to me on the set. I said to her, “this is the greatest tragedy on the American soil, I know people who work in those buildings. No telling how many have died.” This black woman, mother of three children, a part-time worker for me and the local post office, jumped up and began to dance around. I said, “what is wrong with you?” She said, “I so despise those people in New York, I lived there as a small child.” The thought occurred to me, “hatred is hatred”, whether here in my office or in the skies above Manhattan. That was the last day she ever worked for me. I believe she still works for the postal service even though she has much hatred for the postal service, and as we all know, hatred by Muslims for Americans did not end on that day. It is probably greater now than then.

Whether the attack on Pearl Harbor, which we know was not a surprise. Whether the assassination of President Kennedy, which we know was not a surprise. Whether the attack at Ruby Ridge, the Davidian compound at Waco, the Oklahoma City bombing, which we know was corrupted by federal compromise. And, although there are many unanswered questions and suspicions about the 9/11 episode, we know that America is undergoing a dark night of the soul.

Political expediency, political correctness, has caused a closing in the American mind. Elected politicians, local, state, and federal care nothing for this blood-bought country, only their reelection. They have successfully boarded the gravy trains, they do not want to approach any bumps, tilts, or curves along the way. They want to be called “honorable”, but for most of them, there is nothing honorable about them. Maybe all are not as flagrant in their corruption as Obama, Pelosi, Franks, Wrangle, Waters, and in North Carolina Easley, and the “Hunt” machine. When Americans awaken to what is going on, it just may be too late.

Is it strange to you, that since WWII, America has not been able to win a war? We are now in our 8th year in Afghanistan, I have traveled through this desperately poor, remote country several times. Afghanistan does not own a tank or plane, only a few paved roads in the cities. Compared to our standards, the people lived in squalor. From Amritsar, India I slipped into Banyon, Afghanistan many years ago to photograph the great Buddhas in the mountain sides (the ones that the Taliban destroyed). I never heard the sounds of vehicles, planes, trains, the only sound you ever heard was a call to prayer from Muslim mosques.

I stayed once at a hotel in Turkey, the best hotel in the city, the facility was desperate, more or less just sparse wood floors and windows and mats on which you slept. (When I use the word “sparse” coming from the farm home where I was raised in eastern NC, you know that it was a poverty stricken place.) But, even though there were no other sounds in the city: vehicles, etc. There was the ever sounding call-to-prayer, and all the beauty of the city involved the mosque.

These are the people we are up against: devoted, committed Islamists. Theirs is a religion of absolute obedience, not peace, not persuasion, you either believe and submit or die. They do not mind calling you an infidel, if you do not submit to their tyranny. In the closed American mind, a mind tainted by tolerance of everything, it seems perfectly permissible to the spoiled, soft, liberal ideology that 9 Christian missionaries can be killed in Afghanistan with hardly a whisper about it by news commentators, and yet a cartoon can cause an international uproar. A shade tree preacher in Florida can threaten to burn copies of the Koran, and there is a international clamor even from the President, secretary of state, members of Congress, and even the General on the field of battle.

So easily we forget the thousands killed, not only in the 9/11 event, both in Manhattan and other places, but the thousands killed since, supporting a hit-and-go war against Islamic extremists around the world. Terrorism does not have a conscience, children in Bali, children in Egypt or Israel, are as precious as children on the subway in London.

A former marine, young black man, home from the war in Iraq, working for me part-time, told me (and he was sincere when he told me this, because I as asking him about his survival), “I think I survived because I was a black marine.” I said, “I don't understand all that, so many blacks are Muslims, most prisoners when they come out of jail in America are Muslim, there are so many restraints on your activities as a Muslim. (sex, drinking, smoking) But I particularly found that they hate and kill one another (Sunni, Shiah, Kurds).

There was a time when Americans were sure of themselves, sure of their constitution, sure of this democratic republic. We were the example to the world, protecting our borders...providence a sacred trust. Christ describes the man who built his house on a rock, when the storms came, the house survived, this compared to the house built in the sand, when the wind and rain and other desperate weather measure descended, the house fell. (Matthew 7) Politically, religiously, academically, in every way, we need to get back on the rock on our salvation reinforced by the faith that has kept us a free people.

Predictability

Much in life and nature is very predictable and we cling to that predictability because most of our problems are so unpredictable. Once, I was asked to speak before a Lion's group and I asked the head of the organization what he would like for me to speak about. Since their emphasis is on blindness, I thought I had been asked because I had been blind for a very long time and of course, was licensed and practiced as a military eye doctor. He said, “You are the most traveled man in the country and we would like for you to speak on some of your travels.” I said, how about the difference in the Arctic and the Antarctic, both 4.5 million square miles of ice, and my exploration of both the North and South areas of our Earth would be of interest. Of course, the difference in the North Pole and the South Pole is dramatic. The North Pole is a large body of water, surrounded by land; the South Pole is a large body of land surrounded by water. The animals at the South Pole have never been hunted and are not afraid of human beings, whereas, at the North Pole, the wildlife, having been hunted by the Eskimos, are very much afraid of human life.

The most unforgettable sight of the Arctic were the large cliffs, almost totally covered with birds, Terns, the best known migratory animal in existence. The bird migrates 24,000 miles each year, from its nesting areas in the Arctic to areas in the Antarctic, pole to pole, seeing more sunlight than any animal on earth. This small bird, which measure 13-15 inches in length with a wingspan of 26 inches, was blessed by God with a small compass in the brain, eyes which are guided by stars, and the physiology determining biometric direction. The creativity and omnipotence of God never ceases to amaze those who glorify Him with their minds. Like the Monarch Butterfly, which weighs about 1 milligram, raised in Canada, but with the most bewitching interlocking signals known in all creation, migrates each year from an exact spot in Canada to an exact spot in Mexico. Genetically, they give to their offspring, the ability to follow the same pattern, year after year. One who does not believe in miracles has never studied the marvels and miracles of nature.

Discipline and training of children is a good prediction of well-behaved, achieving children. Discipline and training in the military is a prediction of what you can expect before attempting a mission. (Officers can not fraternize with enlisted men and parents can not be friends with their children) The farmer can put a sapling in the ground, seed in the ground, and with water and sunlight, you can predict outcome; growing trees and crops.

The greatest tragedy in American life is the demolishing of public education. The reason why there has been such an increase in private schools and the homeschooling of many students, is because most parents LOVE THEIR CHILDREN. They will not expose them to the mediocrity and horror show of behavior in present day public schools. One of my assistants, mother of 5 school-aged children, home-schools her children; because she is determined that the manners and values she has taught them at home will not be disintegrated by atheist teachers and rebellious students in the public schools. Ask any public school teacher, old, young, black, white, and they will tell you that their greatest problem is undisciplined children coming from 'sin-ravaged' homes. Every time I meet a young couple, with a small child, the first thing I say, when I see their devotion to their child, “Whatever you have to do, whatever frugality you must experience, DO NOT DARE ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO GO TO A PUBLIC SCHOOL; the breeding ground of crime in this country.”

The truth is the truth, whether anyone believes it or not. The truth is, we thought integration would bring all students up to a certain level; we have found, to our sorrow, that all students have been brought down to a much lower level. Recently, I had a plumber working in a building. (and I always attempt to know my 'help' so that I can determine if I want to use them again in the future) I thanked him for coming in the emergency and he said, “Anytime you need me, call me. I work night and day and will continue working night and day because it costs me so much money to send my children to a private school. But, I love my children too much to put them into the calamity of the public school system.” Our ancestors knew and we can predict, a well-disciplined school with well-trained teachers will turn out well-prepared students.

A Christian teacher will not belong to the NEA. (National Education Association) She will not give her dues to an organization which is pro-death, promotes the killing of the most innocent. The NEA, has always, without exception, like other Unions, prodded, protected and promoted in time and money, the pro-choice candidates of the Democrat party. At their recent convention in San Diego, some pro-life NEA members begged the convention to just stay 'neutral' in their pro-abortion stance. But, as always, the NEA voted to continue their anti-life, pro-abortion support of the Democrat party. The NEA, like most Unions, want power instead of principle. The paradox of the world, is that a teacher's union, depending on their very livelihood by the birth of children and building of schools, supports their own decline. Even a bird will not defecate in his own nest!

God's Word in every iota of history in the church, will prove to you that you can predict discipleship in the church. Moses' greatest problem in leading the children of Israel out of slavery, preparing them for habitation of the Promised Land, was that some non-believers had left with them and so, as in most Christian churches, you have the problems of a 'mixed multitude'. Anytime you have unsaved, unredeemed, 'card signers', who have just smilingly walked the aisle, thinking that church membership adds to their résumé but have no idea of repentance or being a 'new creation in Christ', bringing with them their knowledge and attachment to the world, I predict you will have problems and I will predict that you will have what is known in Baptist circles as 'church math', multiplication by dividing. God has given us the promise and the prediction (He knows how to protect his bride) that just playing church, just haphazardly filling pews, putting anyone in an office simply because they are willing to serve, will not bring much fruit, a prediction of a very poor harvest.

Light has come into the world but, the unsaved, in church and out, prefer darkness to light. Like everyone else, I get taken in, surprised, not by things, but by people; the most unpredictable entities on earth.

A black woman worked for me for a few months as a secretary, on a part-time basis, her regular job was at a US Post Office. We were in my office, I was dictating about some things I was trying to sell, and I had the television set on when the planes hit the World Trade Center. I was lamenting about the disaster while she was just dancing all over the room, talking about how happy she was that it had happened, that she had lived in New York, and how much she despised the people there. I said, “These are human beings you are talking about, jumping out of those windows, they have every skin color and are probably from many nationalities.” She said, “I don't care. I despise all of them. I know how I have been treated in this world.” Just like another black woman, who worked for me, obviously full of hatred for law enforcement, she said when she worked in a restaurant kitchen, that she and everyone else, spat in the food of every law enforcement person being served in the restaurant. They tell a blind person these things because they know I can not identify them. I can predict, that if you report such actions to the police, NOTHING will be done. Now, you can not predict this type of behavior. These women had children, they attended church; I wonder what is preached from the pulpit of that church. For that matter, I wonder what is preached from the pulpit of MOST churches.“Sins ruin and Christ's redemption”, his commandment to love one another, are NOT debatable! We can predict, with certainty, that as long as the American psyche is so split, so filled with hatred one toward another, even toward human beings you do not know, we can continue to predict failure in our spiritual as well as our physical existence.

A country, a church, a family, anything divided, CAN NOT STAND.
The most predictable thing in the world is God's Love. The most predictable words in the world, to get you through any storm of life are “Trust in God”. Just the following verses, a part of your being in every activity of your living, are the “Alpha and Omega”.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
