Dialogue

At a time when the perimeters of every airport should be under surveillance, when checked baggage and packages should be scanned or sniffed by a bomb-seeking dog, at a time when Americans are put through scanners like radiated meats and perverts roam their hands around in your clothing. We understand the importance of dialogue, talking to one another.

I have been through many checkpoints in my life of travel, the most famous, Checkpoint Charley, dividing east and west Berlin. How well I remember the dogs, the mirrors, as they looked under vehicles. Of course, the inspections were on the east German side, no one from west Germany, west Berlin were trying to get into the east German, Russian-controlled side, where communism has made a once beautiful city and country a place of wanton desolation.

The story is told of a West German going to work in east Germany, each day passing through Checkpoint Charley. Each day he had a wheelbarrow with a bail of hay. One day a guard said, “I know you are smuggling something.” He and the other guards began to search the hay, “you might as well tell us what you are smuggling.” The west German said, “wheelbarrows.”

Over and over we have seen lives and industries ruined, such as the airline industry ruined because of our failure to communicate. My grandfather was the last farmer to sign Mr. Roosevelt's soil conservation and crop control, local farm legislation, legislation which controlled all farming operations on the family farm, acreage, livestock, marketing. He said, “it is like putting a noose around a farmers neck.” From then until now, worsening with every socialized control, American farming is disappearing. 70% of all produce is now shipped into America from other countries.

About 50 years ago, because of conflicts affecting the Christian church, the Catholic church and the Jewish community, I became active in the National Conference of Christians and Jews, (now the National Conference for Community and Justice), started in 1927 by Supreme Court justice Charles Evans Hughes. Because every religion is interrelated historically, Judeo/Christian, Judeo/Catholic, Judeo/Islamic, all from the same beginnings. It was founded in response to anti-denominational furor around Al Smith was running for President, the conference tried to reach all areas of discrimination, particularly that affecting the disabled, the poor, and those generally disenfranchised because of class.

America is supposed to be a society of equality and justice, but Roosevelt, influenced by such communists as his vice President Henry Wallace, his Chief of Staff Harry Hopkins, Supreme Court appointments such as Hugo Black (member of the KKK), increased discrimination and lack of justice at one of the worst times in American history, the Great Depression. Today, we have a greater need for dialogue than ever before, never has the clamor about things with which we might personally disagree been greater. We seem unable to compromise, even listen, because of the noise of controversy.

I remember in the city of Hong Kong, the noisiest city of the world, how quiet it was to go into a Buddhist temple. I remember how quiet a plane becomes just before touchdown. In a country of the big band sound, fireworks, the constant insane beat and lyrics from radios tuned to low-life radio stations which abound from cars at every traffic light.

The world's attempt to show solace and sadness at times of personal community grief, the effort not to offend anyone at a graduation, this matter of a “moment of silence”. Only one who is blind misses the joy of sight, only one who is crippled misses the thrill of walking. Only one who is deaf really appreciates sound, from the first breath of the new born child, sound. We like sound, because then we know the world is alive. Our blessed Lord said, “he that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” (Matthew 11:15) At Pentecost, 50 days after our Lord's Resurrection, there should have been more hearing and less talking (tongues). I believe that God wants to hear our petitions, praises, please.

At a recent university graduation, the serenity was ruined by a moment of silence, instead of vocally pleading with God for guidance. Yesterday, Mr. Obama had a moment of silence, concerning the Saturday massacre. He being a Sunni Muslim, as Colonel Kadafi has said, “Obama is strict Muslim, he probably does not want to offend the Christians, Catholics, and other cults of America by participating in a prayer service.” We know that academics, politicians, pragmatists, look upon prayer as a moral superstition. But you will find very few, only those who are truly self-destructive, who do not believe in God. God in the spirit of man is as natural as breathing. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient, being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:28-32)

If there has ever been a time when voices should be raised heavenward, seeking the mercies of God, it is now. We have been silent too long. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (Psalm 2:12)

Domestic Extremists

This commentary, my server will send it around the country, is written just for me, no one else. If someone else decides to read it, fine, perhaps you have had some of the same thoughts.

I understand those who do not bow at the alter of the Patriot Act, do not yield to the searching by homeland security, the indignities of TSA (Travel Security Administration) are considered domestic extremists, particularly those who are veterans, those who have had anything to do with the tea party movement, those who support candidates on the right. These organizations are not concerned with security, only control.

So often, I wonder if those of you who are sighted have any idea of what a blind person endures every moment of his life. I am convinced that most people think I am blind only when they see me out in public; the fact that I act normal, talk normal, dress normal, have been able to carry on my life, in spite of my disability. I live alone, big house, many rooms, I carry on a very active business and professional existence. In my condition, I pay more taxes to the government than I ever thought I would make in income. There are some things that I simply cannot do for myself, drive my car, read an abundance of mail, keep up with my various business accounts, I even have my driver check my tie, shirt, socks. You would be amazed how many times someone has spoken about my mismatched socks, mismatched shirt and tie. I often wonder if they could do as well.

This week, I put some ketchup on my ice cream, I thought it was chocolate syrup. I often put something in the microwave from the freezer and have no earthly idea what I have cooked for my food. There are days that everything I touch falls on the floor. Just imagine everything you do sighted, the difficulty if blind. This is the story of just one veteran, there are millions of us. Millions of disabled people (largest minority), your government spends billions for veteran's care, care for the disabled, but most of these funds never reach those for which intended. These funds are eaten up by the corrupt bureaucrats and politicians who are supposed to handle such, even have oversight. I have been able to make my way, with the help of almighty God, alone.

As I can assure you, without fear of contradiction, and as most disabled people have told me, your family care the least. If the only help I get, any encouragement in my life, came from my family, or even friends, I would be in very bad condition. And, tragedy of tragedies, most of these people believe themselves to be Christ-like, I suppose I have said it a thousand times, from the platform as well as in writing, if every “Christian” were just like me, what kind of world would this world be?

Not since the Civil War, has America been in the condition that it is in today, imploding from within. During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln said, “I do not fear America being threatened from without, only from within.”

The main danger now, rather than 100 or 150 years ago, we no longer recognize the difference between good and evil, mostly indifference toward both, whether media, education, politics, or even spiritual values. It was reported this week that the average child texts, I understand this is something that you do on the cell phone, over 120 times a day. I understand that many children just text one another, their parents, instead of speaking to them on the phone. In one year's time, time spent on the internet has doubled to 13 hours a week, time spent watching television has remained about the same, 6 hours a day. We have a country, and indeed a world, technology has become our god...we depend on technology, likewise cleverly, slowly, government has made citizens completely dependent on government. Who needs God when you have government supplying your every need, making every decision for you?

Even in the Declaration of Independence, we have a President who always leaves out the phrase “endowed by our creator.” Our ancestors, forged in fire, Washington, Adams, Lincoln, Patrick Henry, knew the cost of freedom. From hard work, both with hands and books, Americans have built the greatest nation in human history, strange after building such so many are anxious to destroy it, but that which can be built can be rebuilt, restored. A culture that can make a mess of anything and everything, has even made a mess of Christmas. The media, your neighbors, think you are crazy unless you jump to act crazy on “Black Friday.” People expect you to send them a Christmas card if they send one to you...expect you to put decorations in and around your house like everyone else. They want you to feel strange if you do not jump through the hurdles, dictated for Christmas, like the media and society dictates everything else.

Some of my neighbors came to me, telling me I should put decorations in my windows, a wreath on my front door, like the rest of the people on the street. These same people do not realize how difficult it is for me to find my front door, live a simple life without decorations, which I cannot see. These same people, in the spirit of Christmas, have never done one thing for this blind veteran at Christmas. In fact, I will give $1000 cash to anyone who can show that any church, civic group, veteran's organization, government services group has ever done anything at Christmas or any other time. Talk is cheap, and I am not saying that every disabled citizen has been met with such obtuse indifference, but from those I know, I am the rule not the exception.

One of my blind friends, who died a few years ago, born blind, only child, lived alone most of her life, told me that no one at any holiday had ever been to her house. Once, when her mother died, one church brought some food to her house. She died alone, and was quietly buried by the funeral home, but I am sure that if I, or Catherine Vasalou, this blind, intelligent female friend were to have gone to the airport to take a trip, TSA would put us through the ringer, like everyone else. Catherine owned her own home, left to her by her deceased parents. She contributed to the world through her intellectual skills, she talked frequently on every national talk show, Larry King, Sally Jesse Raphael, etc. She, like this writer would be called a domestic extremist.

Life has become a masquerade party, full of pretension. At the airport, when real busy, everyone is just waved through, Christmas has become a mockery, “Me! Me! Me!”, “My party, my gifts, my pleasures.” Nothing about the One who was born in borrowed stable, buried in a borrowed tomb. We get so excited about political victories, spiritual, feel-good-ism, several friends who have been assistants to congress people have told me that it makes no difference who wins an election, federal, state or local. The same bureaucrats are there, still running everything. One said to me, “I said to this newly elected congressman, 'you think you won an election, you are just a puppet for us, we pull the strings. Like a new Christian, nothing changes. Like a new bride, reality soon takes over.'”

Pearl Harbor Day

Today is Pearl Harbor Day, the day we remember what happened 69 years ago, when the Japanese armed forces attacked American military bases at Pearl Harbor in the Hawaiian islands. A day which FDR said, “would go down in infamy.” Like this year, I remember that the weather was very cold in December, I was at my grandparent's home, listening to a small radio in the “sitting room”. Homes, out in the country, only had one room with a wood stove, other than the kitchen. Everyone sat in that room, and the more affluent families, even then, in the country owned a radio. Radio, then as now, was my conduit to the world's knowledge. I had just turned 11, and wish my mind was as sharp now as it was then. I announced to those in the sitting room, “the Japanese have attacked Pearl Harbor.” Most of them had never heard of Pearl Harbor, paid absolutely no attention to anything I said about the attack. It was after they heard the President's address to Congress that they realized that America was involved in another war.

One of the our founding fathers, George Mason, said, “nations can only be rewarded or punished in this world; individuals in the world to come.” There is nothing more horrible than warfare. It is only those who have walked that thin line between life and death, that know what it is all about. The eugenicist, rich, powerful, Ted Turner, said recently, at the Cancun conference on population control, “the entire world should adopt the Chinese system, limiting each family to one child.” Many believe it is the excess population of the world that leads to war, and that war is the answer to population control. That false flags of despotism to provoke nations into war.

The world has become so politically correct, so dumbed down by the mediocrity found in media, that most refuse to give any conflict the common sense test. Did FDR, as some in his cabinet have confessed, actually have a knowledge of the oncoming attack, which he needed in order to involve America in the European war. It is surprising how many Americans believe that the attack on America, September 11th (9/11) was another false flag, internal involvement. Just as the Patriot Act, an internal act of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, to involve America in Middle East war. Just as the Murrah building in Oklahoma City, many questions are asked because much of the activity does not make any sense. Americans are just spoon fed an explanation which, enabled by an obedient, controlled media, we are expected to accept. Perhaps the recent fascination with WikiLeaks, our expectation that the worst is yet to come, deception, coverups, even the fact that much of the material will contain information on UFOs.

It was WWII, money spent on the military-industrial might of fighting that war, that pulled America out of the Great Depression. It is known that George Surrows, Mr. Obama's chief financier, owns much of the stock in the companies manufacturing the scanners for airports. Michael Chertoff, set up much of the apparatus for the patriot act. Now, he is trying to sell the idea of scanning Americans, taking away whatever privacy we had left. It has become a matter of humiliation, taking away your dignity, basic decency. A police state defending the indefensible.

One of the more interesting couples I have met in my life was a Jewish couple form Minneapolis, that I met in South America. They had met in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany, later married in America. Both still had the tattoos of their concentration camp slavery. One night at an outside nightclub, I was sitting with them and they were describing the semi-nudity of the dancers. They said, “the first thing you had to accept in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany was deprivation of privacy. They would strip you anywhere, anytime. If they could destroy your intimate, private decency as a human being, they had destroyed you as a person.”

I once asked one of my friends, a black doctor at the army hospital, “why is it that the black patients have no embarrassment about nudity? Do not seem to value their intimate privacy?” He said, “it is a matter of rearing, you are not familiar with the rearing of black children. In the black home, the father, the mother will walk around naked. Intimacy, privacy, embarrassment is unknown in most black homes.” I believe this is the reason there is never any outcry from the blacks about such matters as searching, scanning, exposure. For most Americans, when all privacy is gone, individual decency, the constitution has been thrown out the window. It has already been disclosed that just ahead, everyone will be scanned before getting on a cruise ship, train or even entering the subway.

Some pea-brained, patriot act bureaucrats believe that only citizens who have had every vestige of privacy taken away from them that they must stand naked before the world to prove that they are not a terrorist. In the recent, communist-installed system of fear, fear of profile, we are willing to destroy every value we have left in order not to offend or profile a terrorist. If I were a terrorist, I would dress as a middle east terrorist, you can be sure that the American bureaucrat is too broad-minded to inspect and suspect me.

Traveling the world, (eight around the world trips, passport stamps in 157 countries) I saw and experienced police state tyranny...Seychelles Islands, Liberia. In an airport in Lagos, Nigeria, I was sitting with a British ambassador, both of us waiting for a plane to Europe. A female peace corp worker had escaped Charles Taylor's Liberia. She was in a state of absolute psychological trauma, she said, “any uniformed military person had the right to strip anyone naked, and examine them for contraband. I had gotten out of that country because I so object to my luggage being taken out of the vehicle, down to the ground and rummaged through by the same type people.” In all my years of working in hospitals, people in a state of shock but still walking, this girl was in the worst condition I have ever encountered.

She wrote me later that if it had not be for me, sitting next to her on the plane, counseling her, talking with her, relieving her of all this anxiety, she could never have made it back to America as a sane person. Are we turning TSA, law enforcement in this country into such thugs? Are today's parents willing to see their children subjected to such indignity? Are those Americans entombed on those ships in Pearl Harbor dead for nothing as others buried in sacred military soil around the world?

Are Americans ready to get off the crazy train? Have we forgotten how to be concerned? Have we forgotten how to blush? Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall (Jeremiah 6:15, Jeremiah 8:12)

What's Next?

Yesterday, the brass at ABC News issued orders forbidding reporters to wear American flag lapel pins or other patriotic insignia. Their reasoning was that “ABC should remain neutral about 'causes'.”

Just as we have already lost the “war against poverty”, the “war against drugs”, the “war against illiteracy”, so we have lost the “war against terrorism”. Alexander Hamilton said long ago, “that men would eventually give up all privacy for security.” The full body scanning at the airport now can tell you if a man is circumcised. You can be sure that your privacy is gone, and most dumbed-down, liberal products of American public education, don't seem to care. Everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere, they don't have time to challenge TSA's infringement on their travel rights. Will these same dumbed-down sheep actually rebel when the government actually comes into your home to check your medicine cabinet, to check your refrigerator, to take away your methods of defending yourself?

Most Americans think that flight began on the North Carolina coast at Kitty Hawk. Those were just play things, the space age began in 1942, in Germany. Hitler wanted a guided missile that would travel 200 miles. In tunnels, slave laborers worked on the rockets that were perfected and used by Hitler's Germany. An estimated 26,000 slave laborers died in these tunnels where the rockets were built.

How history repeats itself when you do not learn from it. It began in Germany in 1912, with the alien Aryan idea of racial supremacy: antisemitic, Darwinian, “survival of the fittest”. This Germanic idealism, a cult following patterned after the Masons, using the swastika as their emblem, intended to build a superior race with space flight as it's ultimate objective. The 1921 BREL society taken over by Nazism and Hitler, became serious about space conquest as well as world conquest.

The first ballistic missile went 50 miles, rocketry took it's toll in the bombardment of London. One can only imagine what the world would be like today if Hitler had succeeded with jet propulsion, which he was working on, and which was transferred to Red Stone Arsenal, along with the scientists involved, and the atomic bomb which he was working on. It just so happens that the scientists involved in jet propulsion, as well as atomic/nuclear bombs, became subservient to America. But, as we are seeing each day, the Nazi practices of identification, control (“let me see your papers”...“let me search you, let me radiate you”) is as much a part of the American security system as space travel, guided missiles and jet aircraft.

We are now faced with a generational slippage into a cauldron of despair and disillusionment. For a totally blind, 100% disabled, service-connected, medical-officer war veteran who has spent everyday of his life in darkness for the past 40 years, it is inconceivable that Americans, particularly those in places of power are ashamed of their flag, are willing to give up, so easily, everything that so many have given up so much for.

We were all bought at a slave market, pitiful that some prefer to stay slaves. Abraham Lincoln witnessed the slave market in New Orleans in 1855, saw black women examined, black men's genitals examined. He said, “One day, god willing, I will put an end to this indecency.”

The apostle Paul, in his letter to Hebrews, said, “for here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come.” (Hebrews 13:14) Think of the height and width of these words, think of how easily we throw away everything that has been gained, gained through the history of mankind: bloodshed, toil and tears. We in America just take our democratic republic so casually. Hard-working, God-fearing, tax-paying Americans sent $8.9 billion to Iraq which was lost, unaccounted for. We know that Americans were killed with weapons which the enemy purchased from Americans.

Only Americans have voted for slavery, chains of indifference, indecency, now we have chains of unforgiveness. How does one forgive the depravity, corruption of eastern North Carolina politicians who have kept this area of the world in depression for so many years? How does one forgive family members, churches, denominations (Southern Baptist, Free Will Baptist, Primitive Baptist), who have supported these scoundrels of the bizarre, prosperity for the few, discouragement for the many? I find it difficult to encourage young people in such a desert of apathy.

Nothing is impossible with God. He has cleansed everything in the past, He can do it again. When the ark, about the size of the Queen Mary, pitched to keep out the water, was bobbing up and down as water covered the planet, you can be sure that there were earthquakes, volcanoes, earth eruptions of every type, as the earth took a new form, as everything was changed. Over and over, in the manufacturer's written instructions to us, He said, “he who has ears, let him hear.”

As in the Garden, as before Noah's flood, as in every message on each side of the cross, we have refused to listen. It is not just the flag of which ABC is ashamed, ABC, like so many blessed Americans, is ashamed of the greatness of God as manifest in this great country.

We have become a country of perversion, a world political scene of ambiguity. Why should mothers and fathers go through the turmoil of raising sons and daughters to defend a country when the enemy is not easily recognizable? it seems evident that we have as many enemies inside the perimeter as we have outside the perimeter. WWI General John J. Pershing said, “time will not dim the glory of their deeds.” I'm sure he meant, not only the deeds of the American military men and women, but the deeds of the honest, God-fearing, tax-paying citizens who are proud to sing about the stars and stripes forever.

X-Rated Checkpoint Charlie

The most famous security checkpoint in the world was on the Berlin Wall separating East and West Berlin. I went through Checkpoint Charlie twice before the wall was torn down. The East Germans were so paranoid because of their Russian indoctrination, no one in their right mind would want to escape to East Germany, the bleak Communist poverty everywhere. Most escapees those trying to escape, east to west, going through I remember the sniffing dogs, the long mirrors use to look under vehicles.

I well remember my first airplane flight, during the time of propeller-driven planes, those who flew, back then, were well-dressed, treated royally by the airline. Like the transatlantic luxury liners years before air flight, passengers used steamer trunks, and were treated like royalty by the shipping lines.

Starting in my youth, we have seen a gradual, certain incremental lowering of all privacy, fascination with sex, voyeurism, and those who do not mind exposing themselves...in general, sexuality and insensitivity converging to today's airport. There has never been any fascination with the sexuality of old people, disabled people, fat people, ugly people, it has all been a matter of the sexual promiscuity and attractiveness of youth. The screen magazines, such stars as Lana Turner in a sweater, a fascination with breasts, then came Dolly Parton. Fortunes have been made from nudity in such magazines as Playboy, and such homosexual magazines such as Playgirl. I understand Playgirl offered $250,000 to both Michael Jordan and Prince Charles to publish a picture of them in the raw, since the news was out that they were both well-endowed. It is a matter of the loss of privacy, intimacy, the violation of sexuality, which has been so offensive in cases of rape and pedophilia.

Fortunes have been made from the pornography industry. On the backstreets of almost any town were “porno shops”, then came private booths where porno films could be viewed. These stores have since disappeared because the best of any type porno is now found in your own living room via the internet. Sections of some cities such as Times Square, Manhattan, were filled with sex movie houses along with the female prostitution and gay bathhouses, all usually converging together, agenda of the gay-communist-pagan taking over America and the world. Now, instead of a child waiting until the age of 18 to enter a porno store, it all starts early, boys, girls, housewives, every age, every social ladder, every academic background. All thinking that it is done in secrecy, that no one will find out.

We became slowly but surely adapted to the takeover of our privacy for the sake of security in bag searching. This was all a hoax, particularly in America. In traveling the world, my camera bag was actually searched, my checked baggage searched. I always carried a large bag of pens, cigarette lighters and such, to give away to those who I photographed, etc. Such was actually found by foreign airlines, the captain would have me pick up this contraband at the end of the flight. I once bought 12 pearl-handled steak knifes at a shop in New York City. I thought, in my camera bag, they will be found, but I can pick them up at the end of the flight. As usual, my bag went right through the so-called X-ray machine, and the attendants, talking to one another, never noticed a thing. I tried the same with a .22 caliber revolver, in the same camera bag, which I transported from North Carolina to New York City. I had promised the doorman in my condo apartment building a revolver, with which to defend his family. Nothing found, nothing said.

I talked about these incidents on the radio. If the local sheriff had any interest in security on airlines, he would have investigated to see which day I flew and who was on security.

35,000 feet in the air, no one questions the need for safety, it is unsafe enough just to be flying in this germ-laden cylinder. Most diseases are rampant because of the air we breathe, the air coming from someone else's nose to mine. The face triangle is the area most associated with disease and disease prevention, the mouth and nose. The nostrils have cilia which filter out much debris, the mucosa of the nostrils have cilia which become erect, sensitive to all particles, only the genital areas of the body have such cilia. It is microbiology entering the body through the air we breathe from the nose and mouth, into the lungs, distributed throughout the body, contagions, which cause most of our diseases. Nothing is more unhealthy than air flight.

I landed on the French island of Reunion in the Indian ocean, a stop-over for most airlines. Because of the nudity at the swimming pool, I stayed clear of most social activity. I noticed that all the airline crews were frolicking, partying, drinking until the early hours of the morning. A member of the hotel staff said to me, “it is always that way. You could not hire me to get on a plane which they fly.” I think most airline personnel, in spite of the splendid uniforms of the captain and his crew, know the dissipation of their lifestyle and professional work.

The derangement of accepted morals affecting society have culminated and converged at the airport. When Cosmopolitan magazine would publish the nude centerfold photographs of John Davidson, Jim Brown, or Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown. Why did we not think that society has gone in to an eclipse of degeneracy? We have become a perverse society, staging our perversion on the innocence of children, the chastity of women, the sissification of men. Only degenerates find enjoyment in fondling the genitalia of anyone: same-sex, opposite sex, and certainly that of children. Now, as an answer to prayer, the voyeurs, perpetrators of immorality, insensitive pagans are members of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Who cares if your privacy is violated, your body radiated?

It bothered me more that an animal's privacy was degraded in the sex act of reproduction, than gay Arnold Schwarzenegger in bodybuilding poses, or Vanessa Williams showing off her “stuff” in a centerfold. It has all lead to where we are now. I leave you with the following advice: “Don't Fly. Deny. Don't Buy. Don't Comply. Just Occupy Until He Comes.”
