Rail Fences

Rail Fences

The 21st century with its smart phones, phone tablets, smart cars, drone warfare, we would not believe that a country, 230 years old, first arriving pilgrims, seeking freedom of religion, most had never seen a Bible. A Bible printed for the common man had only been in existence for about 60 years (60 years). Many including William Tyndall had been burned at the stack for daring to translate The Bible into English. IF the common man in Europe had read The Bible, understood God's message to him, the crusades-holy inquisitions-religious wars, would never have taken place. Until the 15th century, earliest Christians, particularly Catholic have kept the word of God restricted to the pulpit. Probably, the Septuagint translation which Jesus and his disciples read, was as available in their day as 1500 years later (the complete Bible was not available until A.D 90). As today, the religionists-educated, had probably not seen the light as much as those who walked in darkness (monks, priests). "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light" (Eph 5:8). Starting with creation, God's word shows us in intimate detail, that light is the essence of life in creation and in the very soul of the believer.

Metes and bounds, descriptive terms setting up boundaries in England, brought to America and still used until this day. In my life, boundaries of man have been extended beyond belief.

On the farm, plantation, where my mother was reared, land in her family for many generations, there were still split rail fences. Our ancestry in colonial America, did not have and probably could not afford metal fences. People today collect early barbed wire fencing, it is so interesting, still collectable because you can find it inside trees which grew over and around it. In Europe, there are still stone fences built by early Rome as they conquered. There are hedge rows, structures marking ownership. One does not take down a fence without asking, "Why was it first constructed?" The taking down of fences, peering into the unknown, breaking down barriers has been a long, slow process. Galileo, with his little telescope,  at Pisa, Italy, had no idea what he was studying, nor did Leeuwenhoek with his small microscope. The Hebrew word for "smell" is cognitive to the Hebrew word "spirit" (http://www.bjewsusa.com/jewish_calendar_03_08.htm). Man had sense enough to know the value of smell (rottenness from purity). Smell kept people from eating spoiled food. Smell gave delight from flowers. Dogs have always been used for hunting, both game and criminals, because of their sense of smell. In breaking through the barrier of nanotechnology, as with Watson and Creek in DNA discovery (1953). Man is entangled in the real and the supernatural, spiritual and temporal. Vapors (smells), the absolutes of tones (music), atomic weights-molecular structure with the absolutes of the internal being. With the latest-world's most powerful optical microscope, there is no limit to the smallness of discovery. ONE CAN STUDY THE VIRUS INSIDE THE CELL..penetrating the cell walls. This writer is convinced that the chosen-elect of God have definite codes on their DNA. From the split rail fence, boundaries-barriers, God has allowed penetration through knowledge. Remember, in Him is light, no darkness at all. Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Col 1:12), JUST IMAGINE THAT. We can almost hear Jesus reading, as he did in Carpurnium, the manuscript of the profit. "Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended" (Isaiah 60:20, Luke 4:16-18).

The child of God, the believer redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, so cheats himself, playing games with God...thinking that he is honoring God by letting God think he believes-trusts Him. Billy Graham said that, "85% of all protestants are lost, that most in the pulpits do not believe." The same power that raised Lazarus from the dead, the same light that Peter, James and John saw on the mount of Transfiguration, "And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light (Matthew 17:2), is now and has always been available to those who love Him. God has always required trust, and trust is not blind. "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever" (Romans 1:25). Next to the killing of the unborn (abortion), and God will take care of that whether in China, Cuba or America, destroying the innocence in the mind's of children. Young people learn early not to trust anyone and then we wonder why they do not trust God. Education, political system, economy, even the judiciary, all built on deception. The hypocrisy of popularity at any cost, political correctness, selling out to any bar, compromising with even the savior of the world. Just think, the nature of God instilled in those who trust Him, the awesomeness of being a joint heir with Jesus Christ. The distance from the rail fence to nanotechnology is great but not as the 14 inches of the mind to the heart of man, realizing that Jesus in you, life, truth, light of the world.

A mystery to this writer, but now I understand, lives soaked in sin, finally seeing the light, redeemed, forgiven, always anxious to get in the pulpit. It is hard to stay behind any fence, any barrier, when you have good news (gospel of salvation).
