            Each of us, a living breathing individual, made in the image of God, has 1,440 minutes in a day.  This writer is convinced that God holds each of us responsible for how we spend each minute.  George Washington, father of our nation, certainly the most famous president of our democratic republic said, "Any time misspent, is lost forever."  It is easy to pray in a foxhole, hospice or hospital bed.  Do you ever consider, just what you would do with your life if you knew, for a certainty, that you only had so many hours-days to live? 

            This revelation will surprise some of my friends but, I do spend $10 each week on lottery tickets.  Most of my life blind, forced into inactivity, this gives me some excitement as well as contributing to the education fund for the state.  I can truthfully say that if I were to win a "large pot" of money, it would not change my life one iota; it would give me opportunity to give money to many worthy causes, more than I am able to contribute to now.  I can truthfully say that if I knew the exact days of my life left, I would not change one thing.  I live each day knowing that death is just one breath away, last breath here, first breath there.  My eternal life started many years ago when I trusted, through the mercy of God, the redemption of Jesus Christ.  I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that the next thing these blind eyes will see will be the sights of heaven.    

            In my lifetime, there has been many movies based on the bible.... Charlton Heston as Moses, etc.  Now, comes Noah, that remarkable old testament figure of history who God chose to build an ark (to save himself and his family, eight souls, and the animals of the earth which God chose to save), who was 500 years old when his 3 sons were born and 600 years old when the great flood came.  The director of "Noah," Darran Aronofsky, called his movie "the least biblical biblical film ever made."

            This writer has found, over many years-many individuals of many religious and non-religious opinions (rich-poor, educated-ignorant) that most are not convinced of their convictions, that most cannot explain their belief or unbelief; their souls have a longing for something which they attempt to fill.  This world traveler (eight around the world trips, passport stamped in 157 countries) has never found a culture or civilization that did not worship something.  The simplicity of Christianity is astonishing, if not accepting Christ's redemption, then what?  False religions offer nothing except death such as the death of their founders.  Even the hagarens (Muslims), the descendents of the handmaid to Sarah, Hagar, mother of Ishmael, were, like Isaac and his twins, descendents of Abraham.  Under stress, unbelievers, like believers, begin to pray.  Under stress and need, most people work, but, at least in America and most socialist countries, a large percentage of the population resort to living off of the work of others.  This number is rapidly approaching 50% in America.  At the upper end of the population curve, a small percentage of wealthy people who, making every minute count, have achieved great wealth.  At the other end of the population curve, a large number who work, but never get far from the hand-to-mouth lifestyle.  In between, the hardworking and the successful elitist (some from inheritance, some from excellence in education, some from just raw luck) is a vast number who just want to survive on entitlements, retirements, subsidies, grants and welfare.  Let's face it, because of our education system, secular media built up resentments of one kind or another, so we now have a population of lazy, ne're-do-well, skaters, who are perfectly happy to live a stress free life, relaxing before the television set, chasing a ball on a golf course, or in some club or another (civic-country) sitting around hashing out between themselves the world's problems to which they have never contributed one thing except indulence.

            We live in a world with people who have made bad choices.  Many want to use the excuse of family background (the way they were raised-their inadequate education-struggles through poverty).  Would it not be wonderful if all of us had been born healthy, wealthy and wise... genes from intelligent sophisticates?  Would it not be wonderful if all of us were tall, super intelligent, good looking?  Would it not be wonderful if all of us could go to a private prep school, have influential parents-friends?  Would it not be wonderful if all of us could be blessed with a remarkable talent (musical ability, athletic ability, creative ability)?  As I have told so many talented people, when blessed with talent you are far ahead of the rest of us.  Jesus told us about such things.  God just expects us to do the best we can with what we have.  Don't confuse celebrity with accomplishment... think of Helen Keller and Madonna, living-working through struggles even poverty, is part and parcel of success. 

            Satan is so much smart than we are, wants you to settle for counterfeit.  In God's book, His instruction manual, He tells us the same things over and over, to trust and depend on Him.  It takes a long time, you will make many mistakes, but as the old people in the country church sang, "Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there."  Not just your burdens, EVERYTHING.  The greatest part of your value system, depend on God and leave the consequences to Him.   

Dogs Don't Bark

In the sunset years of my life, I am often asked what have been the greatest changes in my lifetime. It is not the conveniences provided by electronics, advances made by nanotechnology (computers). More than anything else, man's indifference with Pavlov's dog, feeding, salivation, ringing of bells, today's dogs have become so acclimated to the noise and confusion of life around them, that they must be taught to be a watchdog.

Einstein said, “when the honey bees disappear, man will not be far behind.” Have you noticed the disappearance of honeybees, the disappearance of frogs (amphibian population declines have been noted since 1980, pesticide use, disease, pollution)? When you see the chem trails in the sky, you may think it has no direct effect on you, but think of what it has done to agriculture, tree life, bird life, all in an attempt to control weather. Did you really think you would escape the horrors of magnetic fields, by keeping a cell phone to your head, a computer in your lap? It is well known that many infant babies cannot sleep in some rooms of the average home because of the electromagnetic field existing in the room. Television radios, computers, iPods, even the many electric wires in the walls of your home (there is nothing more dangerous than a dimmer switch). Your bed should be pulled away from the wall!

Use a Gaussmeter to measure the electromagnetic fields of the room in your house, and around appliances (the greatest offender of all, your microwave). Most sleep problems can be attributed to excessive electronics, an incessant bombardment by an electromagnetic field. Look at the plant life under electric power lines. One with any intelligence at all will not buy a house near high-voltage carrier power lines.

Noah was 600 years old when he entered the ark, the ark of salvation which God had designed. Noah had worked on this ship for 120 years, built to God's exact specifications (specifications still used in proportion shipbuilding today). It was just a large wooden box, pitched so it would not leak, it had to survive many days tossing on the water which God had used to drown the earth. After the ark was completed, all the animals had entered, two by two, except for the clean ones used by Noah for sacrifice. God did not say to Noah and his family, “go into the ark”, but he said, “come into the ark.” God always invites us, indifferent or not, to come into his ark of salvation. For seven days, Noah stood in the door of the ark, begging the scoffers and snoffers who had laughed at him, as a “preacher of righteousness.” But God gave a grace period of seven days, and anyone could have entered the ark along with Noah, his family, and the animals. Not one entered.

In this day of political correctness, government-controlled news media, dogs just refuse to bark, there are very few of us who give any warning about the coming disaster, the grace period that has been extended to us.

90% of the people in Afghanistan could not find the United States of America on a map. For centuries, they have been in a survival mode. I have been in Afghanistan three times, the country is now, much like as described by Rudyard Kipling. I saw men riding donkeys, women and children with goat herds, uneducated, poverty-stricken, just trying to survive. Why would a once-wealthy nation use drones to bomb them? Perhaps this is the reason that this once wealthy nation is now the world's greatest debtor nation. Americans are poor and have not realized it yet.

The best-sellers in grocery stores are energy drinks, Americans fortunate enough to have a job are working as hard as possible just to stay afloat as most of their homes go underwater. I know of no other civilization that has voted for slavery, that consistently votes for corruption, that tolerates crooks at the state house, the court house, the school house, and the church house. When will we learn that the borrower is always the slave of the lender? (Proverbs 22:7) There was a time when a watchdog would bark if the “master” were in danger.

I was once interviewed on the radio and was asked a question, “What constitutes the successful life?” I said, “Most people confuse success with celebrity don't confuse Madonna with Helen Keller. Success is in living a surrendered life. One must have enough discipline to surrender. Full surrender to the glory of god Full surrender to doing your best regardless of your station in life or even your disability”. The apostle Paul tells us to present our bodies a “living sacrifice” (Romans 12:1). It is easy to live a loose, reckless life. The first couple on earth, the only two people without navels, could not keep one law... One commandment, and they walked personally everyday with god in the garden. Their offspring was so sinful that god, around 5,000 BC, killed all life on earth except 8 souls and animal life in the ark of salvation. Around 2,000 BC god called one man, Abraham, to leave all and go 600 miles north as He directed. The descendants of Abraham were given laws to follow and they could not keep the 613 laws of the Jewish nation. They two, all those before the cross and after the cross, one day, will kneel to god, all graves will open (Romans 8:26 / Revelation 20). It has always been a matter of discipline knowing that you are going to die, does not even make a difference. As one 6th grade school teacher, working for me, said recently, “Everyone I know is just indifferent”. I have said on the radio a thousand times, “People just don't care”... Don't care about their soul, don't care about their health, don't care about their future and don't care about their past. Why be blessed with a brain, the crowning glory of man, when you put yourself in the same category as the lower animals.

Everyday of your life, remember that today's children will take over government, your church, your schools, your socio-economic-health care facilities. For those of us in the sunset of life, it is hard not to be bitter when we have seen a better world.

Discipline is both physical and spiritual you will be surprised how quickly life goes by. At my age, it seems that everyday is Friday, we worked hard, went through the struggles and now others are picking the flowers which we planted.

The most expensive garment my mother ever wore was the one in which she was buried. I remember, as a child, “farm feed” (cows, hogs, and chickens) would come in printed sacks. Material that could be used for dresses. My mother would go in and pick out the bags for her dress because available money was used for her childrens clothing.

The new government in America is one of capitalist-communist. I found this type government in the USSR and other old communist societies. Elitest such as those on Walstreet and the power brokers in Washington controlled all the money and were anxious to see everyone else in a socialized system. These elitest, international bankers and their cohorts control the politicians like a puppeteer controls puppets.

In the new American culture we have two systems. The traditionalist and the revisionist. We traditionalist, conservatives, holding on to our god inspired-constitution believe in liberty. The revisionist, liberals, sectarian believe in the separation of god from man. Man is his own god... His belly, his addictions, his love of the world and the “things” in it, all that is important. The revisionist has lost contact with decency of yesterday but wallow in today's decadence.

Europe is gone... Center of western civilization, center of advanced philosophy and religion, two protestant churches are sold everyday. I am told that even catholic churches are locked on Sunday. Tourist, wanting to see the architecture of famed catholic cathedrals find the doors locked. The churches still in operation, much like the churches in America, sparsely filled with gray hair. Young people have written god off... And god will write them off as he has certainly promised in his precious word. How can anyone live a faithless life? There are 3 absolutes in living the Christ-Centered life. All have sinned (Romans 3:23), Only blood redeems from sin (Hebrews 4), Without faith you cannot see god (Hebrews 6). Don't cheat yourself, you are better than the lower animals but, it is just simple math. Unbelievers do not produce believers. You can be sure that if you live for the devil, your children will live like the devil

Incompetence in everything is the rule of the day and, it seems that no one cares. NOAH is responsible for hurricanes, earthquakes, tornado's even activity in the oceans such as the oil spill in the gulf of Mexico. The government tried to poo poo the whole thing while 80,000 barrels of oil was spewing into the ocean each day... Killing the life of this vital ocean.

The government pushes control of health care while 50,000 people die of Merca every year. One third of all Americans have no money saved. 75 million Americans have no retirement. 52% of all black babies are aborted, 70% of all children are born in homes without a father, 78% of all college graduates leaves college as atheist. One third of all federal prisoners are illegals and, you think you can live a faithless life.

I said in this radio interview, I surrendered my disability to god for him to use as he sees fit. God cannot lie (Titus 1:2).”Gods word is forever settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89). All to Jesus I surrender...All to him I freely give: I will ever love and trust him, In his presence daily live (Hem, I surrender all).

Bitter Waters

Water (H2O), is the most famous molecule on earth. Nothing is as valuable as water and we are learning more about that with each passing year. Over two thirds of the earth's surface is covered with water and the most intricate phenomenon of God's creation is the molecular transfer which takes place from the oceans of the world, through the atmosphere, where the saline is lost so that fresh water falls on the earth. The molecule is very complex and many of our health problems result from the fact that the molecule is not sufficiently cleansed through the chlorine and fluoride used in water treatment facilities. Both chlorine and fluoride are poisons and when water is taken from rivers where sewage has been dumped, even though the water is supposedly sanitized in these treatment plants, you would do well to boil your water before ingesting.

One of my duties as a medical officer was lecturing to new recruits about the value of water in their canteens. They may have forgotten many things in their military training but I do not believe they have ever forgotten this army medical officer telling them that their canteen is more important than their weapon. “You can live without your weapon but you cannot live without water. You can live for a long time without food but can only live for a few days without water.”

It took the preacher of righteousness, Noah, one hundred twenty years to build the ark - responsible for the salvation of he and his family and animal life on earth. The ark, built to God's exact specifications, and to this day the specifications still meet all boat-building requirements. The ark, about the size of the ocean liner Queen Mary, was built before any rain fell on the earth. This is the reason that Noah's name is in the Hebrew's list of heroes of the faith. A man who built such a ship, experiencing the ridicule of millions of people who later would drown, had the faith to follow the command of God, and then the water came.

Moses, another old man of the faith, leading two and a half million rebellious, complaining Jews from Egypt toward the Promised Land. They, having experienced the miracle of walking through the Red Sea on dry land (symbolic of Christian baptism), after three days in the desert heat, complained because they and their flocks did not have water. At Marah God provided the water but it was bitter. Moses was instructed to throw a tree into the bitter waters and they because sweet and potable, symbolic of future salvation when on a bitter tree, our blessed Lord would sweeten our lives.

The hottest place in my life was in the same area of the world, near Abu Simbel where I had visited the ancient temples, which had to be moved because of the building of the Aswan Dam. It was so hot that it made eastern North Carolina seem cool in August and I was so thirsty that I have always had a rapport with these complaining Israelites. I said to my guide, “I am so hot and thirsty! I would give five dollars for a Coke.” When we arrived at the small airport and the small plane, which would get me out of this cauldron of heat came, the price of a Coke was exactly five dollars. I bought one for myself and one for my guide.

Bitters is an herb which the children of Israel had used in their passover and which since has been used as an herb for the cleansing of the liver, as well as a condiment for alcoholic drinks, which gives the drink a certain “tang”.

The most bitter pill most Americans swallow is the bitter pill we experience in every area of living when we see and hear of prejudicial patronage treatment given to individuals because they pledged to a prestigious college fraternity or were able to buy political transformation. From the golf house to the White House one of the games that people play is the game of patronage. (Berne's Games People Play) The Supreme Court, in 1976, ruled that patronage cannot be used in this country, but the ruling has been ignored. The payoff historically, has been in jobs; civil service and otherwise. But, recently, in contracts, which bring in millions of dollars (Brown and Root, Haliburton, Blackwater). Just about everything in the military now is contracted. There are as many contractors in Iraq as military personnel. A sack of soldier's laundry is laundered for $100.

Chicago is the patronage capital of the world. Mayor Daley passes out 60,000 patronage jobs; he sells them like the other Chicago crooks were selling 'used' graves. It starts with the college fraternity, country club, prestigious civic club, state house, and eventually the White House. Skull and bones (George W. Bush, John Kerry, etc.) is just an example of the prestigious and prejudiced that the 'rich and famous' exert on government. Earmarks, Lincoln bedroom, and military academy appointments (Army, Navy, Air Force) are just part of the patronage system.

According to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission, Obama and the democrats raised between $500 million to $1 billion dollars in the last presidential campaign. He took 500 of these contributors 'across the pond' to London. Many of the contributors have yet to go on a holiday with the president. The Bilderberger and other 'shadow' regulators of this republic are looking with envy at such political control.

I stand in Christian shock every time I see a Baptist or Protestant church member wearing a Masonic ring. A library of well referenced books will give you the 'questionable' background of Masons, Jews and the world. (Secret Lodge Mysteries by Hautt and Morals and Dogma by Albert Pike) The pinnacle of patronage and the academic guideline for all political, commercial and fraternal aspiration is the Masonic order of Freemasons or the 'lodge'.

Even Joseph Smith, the head of the Mormon church, reportedly was flashing his Masonic ring when he was shot. The lurid rituals, the hand shakes, their seeking this hedge for political and business purposes, does not fit with the Christian ideology of Christian servitude. It is significant that the Prince Hall (or Black Freemasons), to which Mr. Obama, Rev. Farrakhan and Rev. Jackson belong, do not meet with the white Masons to which most white members of congress belong. But, who should be surprised? Black and white professionals (doctors and lawyers, etc.) are segregated.

Many of us were in the front lines during the Civil Rights struggle. Those of us who were poor, or any other type minority, knew bigotry in its rawest form. In North Carolina, if not a white male democrat, you had trouble even teaching school - certainly with the patronage highway department and state government jobs in Raleigh. I remember the first three black males who received any recognition at all from the state democrat party: a black Charlotte dentist, a black Durham insurance man, and a black Goldsboro funeral director. The white or black cotton mill workers or tenant farmers who had given their children and sweat for the future of this state were then, as now, left out of the patronage picture.

A friend of mine, WWII black combat veteran, who shined David Brinkley's shoes on the street as a young boy in Wilmington, was ordered to the back of the bus in uniform, when he returned from the South Pacific, a wounded combat veteran. When he died a few years ago, he wanted the hearse to take him down Castle Street for the last time. I stood on the sidewalk as the hearse with the flag-draped casket went by. He was so bitter, when he called a local talk show, or even when he called me, the sobbing would start...bitter water.

Perversity

The human brain has been estimated to contain 50–100 billion neurons, of which about 10 billion are cortical pyramidal cells. These cells pass signals to each other via around 100 trillion synaptic connections. In spite of the fact that it is protected by the thick bones of the skull, suspended in cerebra-spinal fluid, and isolated from the bloodstream by the blood-brain barrier, the delicate nature of the human brain makes it susceptible to many types of damage and disease, such as a stroke (one of the three most common causes of death). The goodness of God is made manifest in our nervous system, which in man is manifest in our free will, our ability to think and reason. The crowning glory of man is the nervous system. The bird has a far superior eye than man, the dog has a far superior sense of smell than man, the cow, horse, mule etc has a far superior digestive system than man, the very survival of animals in the jungle depend on their being able to blend into the foliage.

Little is known about the attitudes of man before the flood, around 4090 BC. Probably the population of the earth before the flood was about the same as today's population, it does not take a man who lives to be 900 years old, all his descendents, marrying one another, to have a very large family reunion, early men lived to be, at least, around 900 years old. It would have taken one of today's stadiums to hold the family. We are well familiar with the destruction of the world by water and the salvation of Noah, his family and the animals; probably numbering in the hundreds, saved from destruction. The animals, like the human beings, multiplied. The most interesting history of a people involves that of the Jewish race, when Abraham , the first Jew, left the land of his birth, Ur of the Chaldees, traveled 600 miles to the land where God directed him, present day Israel, his sojourn into Egypt, his multiplication. Later, the entire Jewish people, enslaved for 400 years, then delivered, because of the directions of God to Moses, their establishment in the present day land of Israel. The history of Christianity emanating from the early Jewish beginnings, until today's predominance of the Christian religion in the United States, the last bastion of the Christian faith in the world.

From the time that the Pilgrims left Europe seeking religious freedom in the New World, until the present, Satan has made attempts to pervert the faith and practices of Christianity into an anti-biblical gauntlet of harassment which the defenders of faith have persevered through centuries of obedience. Stalwarts of the faith, both law and grace, have truly believed that “to obey is better than sacrifice”(1 Samuel 15:22 ). With the coming of Christ, grace by faith, through his redemption and atonement, has lead us into a life contentment of trust.

In recent years, the Christian, and indeed the Christian church, has been forced to engage in battle for the integrity of the church and certainly for the integrity of the Christian life. We know, without any doubt, that Christ gave us everything we will ever need when he said, “I am the way, the truth, the life” (John 14:6) Satan's hordes, the academics, the atheists, the pundits of hypocrisy, have used every demonic strategy to lure everyone possible into the chaotic trap of doubt and deceit. In our lifetime, we have seen homosexuality and every perverted tentacle (same sex marriage, sexual diseases) trap and enslave, confuse and embarrass from the most innocent to the consenting.

Perversion is not just a sexual sin. But the addiction of illegal drugs, emasculation of the male, degradation of the female through tattoos and piercings, the inebriation of intelligent minds through chemical inhalants and even oral toxins, a direct insult to God-given sobriety. Starting in the decadence of Europe, wormwood, with its hallucinogenic properties, has now made its way to this country, carousing the very youth who should be intent on improving their mental abilities, instead of destroying their capabilities for thought.

The paradigm of this nation, the most blessed nation in history, a country to which people will suffer unimaginable hardships to get here, is that we have a system of youth perversion unwilling to take advantage of the opportunities parents have worked so hard for, and military forces have fought and died to provide for them. Opportunities for the youth of this nation are limited only by their own refusal or neglect. The most perverted intelligence of mankind is thanklessness. This writer has traveled the entire world, there is no other nation, no other culture, which provides the opportunity of this country.

Like the many who dare call themselves Christian, who never participate in the observance of our Lord's supper, the recurrent ordinance of a New Testament church, like the many, after baptism, the initial ordinance of the New Testament church, never worship or support the church to which they think they identify. Who do they think they are fooling? Their patriotism, their religious beliefs (if any), their loyalty even to their body, (your body is a temple which will not take much perversion) is all that they have. That plane load of people that went down in the Atlantic (a plane hitting the ocean is just like a piece of china hitting cement) was totally unexpected. Life is very uncertain, these people thought they would arrive in Paris. You only have one life, this is not a dress rehearsal. Your perversions, small or great, like sin, will find you out. (Numbers 32:23)

Blessed is the man

Testing

One of my favorite radio programs as a teenager was the Great Gildersleeve with it's main actor Hal Perry. The Great Gildersleeve was running for mayor of his town and he discovered, as most challengers of incumbents have discovered, the power of incumbency. What it means for a politician to be thoroughly established in office with the corruption inherent, political appointments, the good ol' boy network, and the actual belief that the government treasury and taxpayer funds actually belong to him, and he can use these funds to do whatever he wants, usually payoffs that will ensure his reelection. We are seeing this on a scale now that has never before been seen in history.

It is bad enough to see the downtrodden taxpayer cough up every tax, every permit, every license, every fine one can imagine in local, state and federal governments; but now, four billion hard earned dollars must be extracted to support world government. Mr. Gore and his cohorts already set up in their tax and trade scam.

It should be an embarrassment to every American citizen as it is an insult to every American military veteran, to witness the bribery and extortion going on by the Democrat party in Washington. In the wee hours of the morning, behind closed doors, the power brokers, and elected representatives, make the mafia look decent as they pay off senators such as Landrew, Nelson, and others for their vote. Following the Obama-Alinsky, Rules for Radicals, a scourge of decadence, our government has been taken over by the radical element and our Constitution trashed. This is a time for the testing of the American spirit as never before in our 230-year history. WHAT WE DO, DETERMINES WHAT WE ARE. If you are a Marxist-Criminal, it will come out in your actions. If you are an honorable person of integrity, your basic character and actions will show it. Character determines destiny. If you are a person of character, it will be evident in your actions as well as words. The Christian patriot will always show integrity. God will not ask you to do something you cannot do. We do what we do because we believe what we believe.

As I have stated many times, most of my life as a totally blind person involves radios. Listening to several radios at a time and in this day of “talk radio”, becoming well-known across the nation in sharing my thoughts with others.

Locally, on a talk-station, a black woman called in expressing her frustrations because she had been in bed ill for a long time and could not get the ever promising government agencies, or any “do-gooder” civic or church group to come to her assistance. It was evident from what she said her family was financially unable to assist. In the course of the conversation, she said, “I used to depend on God, but I have found that He is a white man's God. God does not seem to be interested in a 70-year old black woman who cannot pay her water bill or prepare something to eat.” I called the host of the show afterwards and told the host to come by my house to pick up some money for Mrs. Johnson, and to have her call me. I remember the name because it is the same name as Kathryn Johnston in Atlanta who also lived in a drug infested part of town. You remember, from the news accounts, that Mrs. Johnson was a 92-year old black woman living alone in her own home, the Atlanta police acting on an erroneous tip, kicked in her door, and she---frightened from the drug activity all around her---fired a shot at her front door hitting a police officer.

The police had a no-knock warrant and cut down her burglar bars to gain entrance. Wherein, the police who had kicked down the door, they shot 39 times, with 5 bullets hitting and killing her. I've talked with Mrs. Johnson, who lived on Castle St., several times by phone. It depressed me that she was going through this time of testing. A time when she was doubting the veracity of God, the promises of His care. I told her, “I am older than you, totally blind, mostly housebound, it has taken me an entire lifetime to have the courage of faith and depend on the sovereignty of God.” Faith is like a two-sided coin, a coin is worthless without both sides. Faith is action based on belief, sustained by confidence. You must have both belief and action in your faith, survival through courage.

For 120-years, the preacher of righteousness Noah, showed action in his belief in God's salvation through the construction of an Arc. Abraham, the first Jew, showed for time and eternity, action and belief as he traveled 600 miles north at God's direction, no forwarding address, and was willing to wait for a very old wife to produce a son (who as a young man, he readily offered as a sacrifice). In these two examples, as well as many others throughout history, we find that many times it is more difficult to wait than to work but we are told to “wait upon the Lord” (Psalm 37:9).

Our sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient, God of the universe, has told us that he would never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). God just requires us to trust in Him. Many times, and in many ways, we find that God does not have a calendar nor a wristwatch. I believe that 95% of faith is just raw courage. The courage and confidence of believing that the testing of God applies just as much now as it did with the ancients.

I shared with Mrs. Johnson, the small slave church in the woods right across the road from my cousin's house where the slaves 200-years ago would gather for worship. I told her about the crude benches in the building. The incredible life which they as well as most of us have endured, but the importance of enduring to the end (Matthew 24:13).

It would be wonderful if just through prayer and asking, things would happen instantly such as the instant healing in a Benny Hinn healing crusade. God works in mysterious ways and just as civil rights, healing often takes time, HE IS BOSS.

Mrs. Johnson, like this writer, had been reared on a farm. I reminded her that only farm people can actually know God's plan for everything... The time involved in germination for seeds in the ground... The time involved for hatching eggs under the hen... The time involved for the curing of meat or wood... The faith involved in having crops exposed to the elements (rain, hail, wind storms).

I don't know how much good I did in her life, or anyone's life. I just know we are asked to do the best we can. We plant the seeds, someone else waters the plant, and it is up to God for the results. Satan is the enemy, always on the job. The spirit of God is always present, like the wind, you never can tell which way it will go. God's ways are NOT man's ways (Isaiah 55:9). Take assurance from testing, For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth (Hebrews 12:6).

Foundations

David Rockefeller, banker, member of the world's wealthiest family, the Rockefeller's, in his 2002 autobiography, Memoirs, said that people on earth are the “common herd”. Margaret Sanger, nurse, founder of Planned Parenthood, in her book Family Limitation referred to black children as weeds.

These two Americans like the present evil president, who has promoted a culture of death involving abortion, euthanasia, same sex marriage, like other members of his administration, and the democrat party, are ALL progenitors of the Bilderberger and Illuminati promoters of the DEPOPULATION of the earth. The only other time the earth was depopulated was at the time of the Great Flood, when billions of people were drowned after they had been warned by Noah, a preacher of righteousness that God would show his wrath for the sin of the world.

Noah, who lived to be age 950, started preaching at age 550, and was instructed by God to build an ark to preserve animal life on earth. The exact dimensions of this sea-going craft were given to Noah by God, 95 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high, large enough to accommodate all these animals, Noah's family and others who wanted to escape in the ark of salvation. For 7 days, before God closed the great door of the arc, Noah, stood in the door of the ark and begged the laughing, mocking people to come aboard and escape. But, like the 120 years that it took him to build the ark, the people just mocked and laughed. It had never rained on the earth. Large bodies of water were far from the ark; and the sinful people, more interested in their CREATURE COMFORTS, the enjoyment of sin, were willing to take the risk; and they all drowned because the water went 15 feet above the highest mountain. Noah, his wife, his 3 sons and their wives, the earth's animal life which God intended to preserve, were saved. As with Christians, and God's plan of our salvation, animal life was preserved and here we are.

As the apostle Paul told us, today's world, as in Noah's world, perilous times would come. 2 Timothy 3:1. With Christians, as with American citizens, and indeed, citizens of the entire world, we just give lip service to our convictions and ideology, both religious and political. We have forgotten the foundations on which our Christian faith as well as our great democratic republic were built. Without a firm foundation whether spiritual or political, we will fall.

Satan was the deceiver before the Great Flood and he is the great deceiver now. Where there is no king, there is no kingdom. Where there is no obedience, there is no Lord. God's Law as well as every victim of civilization cries out, “...to obey is better than sacrifice.” I Samuel 15:22.

I never cease to be amazed that black American citizens just 100 years after redemption from slavery by the Emancipation Proclamation, have become enslaved again by loyalty to a political party and philosophy that makes them less than they are, bowing down to the dictates of a godless, communist ACLU, and selling their hard earned civil rights for a “mess of pottage”. I never cease to be amazed that union workers, cotton mill “lint heads”, tenant farmer “rednecks” are seeing their jobs in industry and agriculture, usurped by democrat party promotion of NAFTA and CAFTA, hard earned livelihoods, replaced by unemployment checks, and scraps from the table of the power brokers of promise. Even the rapidly disappearing middle class, clinging to the most basic constitutional principle of contracts, knows that in a nation so bereft of integrity, desperate state, federal and local tax grabbers and pick pockets of decency will put a lien on every property you consider yours so that government debts can be paid. The only money a government has is it's power to tax. Your property whether real estate, vehicle or your kitchen table, can be ceased by the government unless you pay the taxes on it. This morning, every man, woman and child owed, $250,000 in national debt. Knowing the appraised value of everything you own, and knowing how much money government owes, don't think for 1 minute that the government is not going to get every dime out of you to pay your debts. They consider the government debt, your debt. The paper money you have in your pocket is worthless, backed up by nothing except thin air. One president, was assassinated in Dallas, because he planned to back up fiat paper money with silver. The Federal Reserve is a joke. It is not Federal and it has no reserves; however, Congress has allowed it to take over the US Treasury.

The US Post Office is such a disaster that it has become privatized. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Securtiy, NOW - the government owned automobile industry, and most insurance companies are all broke; and, some of you actually think you want some of your most sacred and private life support you have left, placed in the hands of government. Have you lost your mind? Only one who has sat in a VA hospital with a number waiting for care, only one who has worked in a lackadaisical military hospital, only one who has seen the foibles and failures of the Social Service system, would desire such treachery. When you get old whatever is not hurting is probably not working. In Obama-Care, maximum health coverage is from age 18 – 40. After 40, care becomes prioritized.

The US banking system will lose some 1,000 institutions over the next two years, said John Kanas, whose private equity firm bought BankUnited of Florida in May. The corruption of political officials in Washington, on Wallstreet, in state capitals such as the imprisonment of several in NC, and even locally, leads any thinking, taxpaying, sweating citizen to believe that all foundations of decency and accountability have vanished. For instance, Charles Rangel, long time representative from NY, Chairman of the House, Ways and Means committee, the most powerful committee in Congress, is being investigated for his corruption, his failure, to comply with government regulations in reporting more than $500,000 assets and income, which effectively doubles his net worth. Unreported assets included a federal credit union checking account of between $250,000 and $500,000, several investment accounts, stocks, apartment houses and even properties in New Jersey and Puerto Rico. How does a politician who makes $160,000 a year accumulate such a fortune.

The implosions of the foundations of government will lead to the demise of our republic. Much worse, is the quaking of the foundations of the Christian church. When founded, on the day of Pentecost, (Acts 2) the church was founded on sound doctrine. The mission then, as now, was to go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptizing believers in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and, we were told by God in whose image we were made, that He would be with us, even to the “end of the world.” Matthew 28: 19 – 20.

The foundation is important to every structure. Your building, whether your house in which you live, or the temple of God, your body, is only as sound as it's foundation. I never could understand why my father spent so much time digging and building the right foundation for every building, even a barn. But he knew, just as you will learn that the foundations of your spiritual being, your nation's governments, your childrens' developments are all just as secure as the foundation that supports them.

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word.
