All weather systems come from the sun. Science does not have an answer for everything. Before science, even before the telescopes (Galileo perched near the Basilica – Baptistery at Pisa) astronauts going in to space, ancient eyes of men and animals marvel at the light and heat of the sun. As with the world and everything in it, God spoke and we had light, and He knew how to separate light from darkness. For God to be God, He has no need for anything but He understood man's need for photosynthesis, the light and heat, which gives us plant life.
It takes much more faith not to believe in God than to believe in God. Like the mosquito on the railroad track, the locomotive rapidly approaching, the Atheist mosquito shouts, “ I don't believe in you!”. Believe me, the scientist is just fooling himself. He may have had fun manipulating the genetics of plant life, promoting slow suicide with big pharma, destroying ones immunity with chemicals and radiation but he can never duplicate the processes involved in the clotting of blood, only has an inkling of understanding about the genome, complexes of DNA. Like gravity, other laws pertaining to the physical sciences, the magnificence of God's creative ability has always been here. Instead of putting God on trial, disparaging His magnificent designs, puny intellectuals, just marking time, a miss is as good as a mile, adapts and addicts to strange egotism.
The frame of reference for the world has always been property rights. Mankind, particularly in Democratic republics, readily accept government regulations, licensure, permits. In my lifetime, where once there were just property lines for property owners such as farms, houses, businesses, now, every human activity and the activities of most animals you own involves a permit of some sort. Any type small piece of paper for which the government can make a charge. Really, you do not own anything anymore. Needless property boundaries. You have given the government by your voting for slavery the right to tax everything...your privilege license for any type vocation, your privilege with multiple taxes to drive a vehicle, taxes denoted by codes you do not understand for everything you eat, drink or use (utility bills).
In our self imposed slavery – bondage, it does not matter how long you go to school, you still, for a fee, must jump through every hoop, cross every barricade to do work for which you have spent your entire life preparing. You do not believe it, but the time will come when over-paid agents of government will not only inspect your house (when building, taxing, buying, selling) but your refrigerator and medicine cabinet. Your children, your animals, everything you produce, even the lunch you prepare for your child, all subject to government inspectors. My farming ancestors plowed the fields, planted and housed their crops (saved seed from outstanding plants), depending on the mercy of God for sunlight at the right time and rainfall at the right time. Who needs God when you have government controls, instructions about everything?
Government is doing its best to destroy the Christian church, code enforcement, even inspections of church cooking and eating facilities. The basis of Christianity is found in Paul's letter to the church in Corinth. The church at Corinth was only small Isthmus, a very dangerous area of the Agean Sea. There was much nautical travel, much confusion in the churches. Then and now, it all came to one theological basis. And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain. (1 Corinthians 15:14) And if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins. (1 Corinthians 15:17)
The most beautiful history one can study, accurate, specific in numbers, men's names beyond pronunciation, passions of cities and warfare, prophecies and promises of the Old Testament, hundreds of years later, the magnificence of the gospels, the perfect life of Christ, His crucifixion, the focal point of all history, all this to naught IF He were not raised from the dead.
Why then can anyone comprehend or understand, with all the demands on 21st century living, God could not make one claim on the first inhabitants of the earth...the “no-no” tree. He gave Adam and Eve everything, even their constant relationship with Him. They could not keep their hands off the fruit of just one tree...one law, one commandment.
Christ told us that we, chosen out of the world, would be hated. This seems a small price for His own to pay in order to spend eternity with Him. Is it not a small price to pay to give the tithe which is His whether we pay it or not? He owns us - time, talent, treasure. Unless we recognize His claim on us, we are not His.
