Peculiar People

Some years ago, I participated in a Christian conference in Atlanta Georgia. One of the other speakers, president of a large candy manufacturing company, said something I will never forget. “But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Pe 2:9) He said, “we really are peculiar people and we should wear our badge of peculiarity with pride. When we lose our peculiarity the church will have lost it's royal priesthood”.

I thought about this some years later, one of my employees, a black woman, told me of her watching next door neighbors. They would leave home every Sunday morning around 9:30 and return home around 12:30. On Sunday evening they would leave home around 7 and return home around 9. She could not understand what these people were doing always leaving home and returning like clockwork, every week. Then one day, she saw two funeral home cars in front of the house and dressed up people getting into the cars. Then she was told by another neighbor that this neighbor had died. Later, through the mercies of God, she was introduced to Christ, Baptized as a believer, and started following the same type routine herself. She asked me, “who was wrong, my next door neighbors or me? I had never acted neighborly toward them or I would have learned that they were church goers. If they had acted neighborly toward me, as they should have as Christians, I might have been saved and learned to love our Christ long before I did. People who worked where I worked, I considered crazy when they talked about tithing and Sunday school.”

This is the problem. The world has taken over the church. If a polished, out of town speaker comes to a church, many people will attend. If there is a special vocalist or Gospel singing at the church, many people will attend. If there is one of these “eating” festivals, buffet, dinner on the grounds, a fellowship supper to raise funds, people will attend. We seem to have forgotten that church is a place of worship. Our mind, body and soul should be intent on that one thing, worship, with Jesus Christ at the center of everything.

Libya's Colonel Kadafi has decided that Nigeria, Africa's largest nation, should be divided half Muslim, half Christian. I feel sure he would divide up Iraq the same way as well as the other 48 predominantly Muslim countries. At the same time Kadafi is offering his advice, there is a “quartet” meeting in Moscow, UN, US, EU and Russia. They consider it their business to advise small Israel about getting along with the hoards of Muslim neighbors around them. This quartet, with William Cohen accompanying them on the piano will sing a song to which Israel is supposed to dance. Israel already knows this but when will Americans discover that most of the Atheist world will only give Americans the opportunity to select the color of the rope with which they are hanged?

The nations of the EU have lost their sovereignty...their national boundaries, their national identity. 19 of the EU nations are on the verge of bankruptcy. (Iceland, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Portugal etc.) In order to cure a disease, the symptoms must be recognized. Each of these countries, going under water, are spending more than they take in as in America, where the same disease is killing the patient. It is easier to do the talk than do the walk. It is easier to put political patronage jobs in government than to plan for private employment. A nation's problems cannot be solved until government spending is under control.

It is not just Americans who are losing their jobs, losing their homes, losing their common sense. MGM was sold for 5 billion in 2005. The studio is for sale again and will be lucky to get half the last price. Old movies, like old books (I am an antiquarian book collector and seller), old prints, old collectables etc are not worth much anymore. Old values of decency, hard work, clean living, are not worth much anymore.

The homosexual, gay agenda is in full play, academia, military (don't ask don't tell), media, everywhere. The Catholic church in Ireland is in shambles. A dastardly recognition of sinfulness going on in schools for the disabled has finally become evident. Boys at a school for the blind, are now coming forth telling how they were abused by homosexuals at their school. We know this went on at mental hospitals for a long time. One of my friends, a totally blind woman who went to the school for the blind as a very small child here in NC, told me of the abuse she experienced from lesbian workers at the school. Disability is bad enough at best but to then be the target of abuse makes the situation intolerable.

This is the 21st century. Why is the world experiencing text book tyranny at this time in world history?

I remember landing in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia during a great drought, such as one experienced recently. The last thing these people need is to be choked off by anything but Voice of America has been choked off from Ethiopia because America is accused of lying to the Ethiopian people. Now, I ask you, why would Ethiopia be the exception when America lies, cheats and steals to everyone including it's own citizens?

America, exactly as planned by Alinksy's Rules For Radicals is being destabilized from every standpoint targeting acceptance of homosexuality, debilitating the disabled, the abortion of the unborn. Abortion is an unnatural act. If a baby is to be aborted naturally, it will do so in 99% of the time( Abortions and black genocide is just a money making machine). In this gnosticism culture we now find pseudo science such as cap and trade. Gnosticism spirituality manifests in mega churches with feel good, prosperity, emerging accommodations. In an era of technology, we have learned to accommodate or tolerate anything. When will we regain our senses?
