"Wrong Way" Obama

Before the time of GPS, probably even before the time of the compass, people went in the wrong direction. A famous Rose Bowl football player, but probably the most famous, “Wrong Way” Corrigan, this pilot flying from Long Beach, California to New York City, filed a flight plan to return to California from Floyd Bennett Field in Manhattan. He must have become confused, because he flew his plane all the way to Ireland...the exact opposite direction and was then known for the rest of his life as “Wrong Way” Corrigan. These pilots, athletes, and perhaps some of us, went the wrong way. We have a new “wrong way“ person on the scene, the President of the United States.

Now, I would be the last person to complement Bush 43, Bush 41, Clinton, or any other President in the last 60 years, as far as I am concerned, Harry Truman was the last real President of the United States. George W. Bush set our country up for dictatorship with the Patriot Act, unbelievable power to the CIA, flimsy, flaky, freaky display of congressional oversight. Everything was open for the Obamanation tyranny. There is no way America can recover from 4 years of Obama.

Mr. Obama, everything is going in the wrong direction, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the economy, the housing bust, employment, your senseless takeover of corporations such as Government Motors (GM). The dilemma of unpredictability and unexpecteds in healthcare, frivolous lawsuits, borders, schools, spending, popularity with the rest of the world. All these things you said you would correct or change. Nothing has changed, except for the worst.

One of the world's richest men, Steve Wynn, given credit for much of Las Vegas' resurgence and expansion, owner of the Golden Nugget, The Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio, etc. is so disgusted with the direction of our country, he is moving his headquarters to China. He has planned to expand his operations to the island of Macau, the largest gambling market in the world. I remember standing on the island of Macau, fantastic casinos and hotels all around, and thinking, “what is the main land of China really like?” This is before it opened, still a mystery. I was one of the first Americans on the main land after the Nixon reopening. Hong Kong and Macau were always great entrepreneurial opportunities, surely we could have learned something from them. Surely we are not forced to develop our capitalist economy model from a communist country. Remember, O Lord, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens (Lamentations 5:1-2).

It would have been difficult to convince real men 100 years ago, that this once prosperous nation would mature into such a senseless cauldron of deceit and misdirection. When I talk of the way things were just 70 years ago, young people think I am from another planet. Today's young people have never known the promises of America: “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.“ Most of our freedoms have been taken away, and if we were brave, we would at least closed our borders, and prohibited non-citizens from entering the country and taking advantage of us. My passport has been stamped in 157 countries of the world, I received permission to enter these countries, I went through immigration in the legal way, I honored their country, its laws and regulations while I was there.

I am convinced that the people of America were not dumbed down, did not lose their mental competence over night, and without some good reason. I believe that what a child eats the first ten years of life, determines mental ability, the food dyes, the chemicals found in preservatives, sugar and salt being placed in everything to increase it's taste. Perhaps even the subliminal intrusion by television and other control gimmicks, have led to the early demise of the IQ in our nation. We know that the IQ is going down, that many young people act more as zombies, that the leeching of chemicals from plastics has lessened testosterone in males. That the fluorides and chlorides in our urban water systems have had an effect. All the symbols of prosperity, accomplishment, have probably, together, hastened our defeat without our sworn enemies having to fire one shot. The fructose, dominating factor in our food, tastes good, fast food is convenient, and it costs more to eat healthy, but this is all set by increased healthcare costs.

There was a time when food costs was a large part of the family budget. Today, food costs are less, but healthcare costs are much more. The ruby-red colors in your food are so appetizing, did you realize this color from crushed insects from Mexico and South America (Carmine, Natural Red 4). This material is used in yogurt, juices, ice creams, it is crunchy and gives a nice color...scaled insects. The insects are boiled, dried, the carminic acid extracted, and is then put in your food.

I have some old family paper in which they describe the deaths both on the ship and afterwords, when they first arrived in America. Theirs was a desire for opportunity, freedom to worship, they were glad to leave slavery behind, they had no envy for wickedness, for any other place in the world. We stand on their shoulders, this great land of opportunity. All over the world, young people have expressed their ambition to come here, why do we now have a generation willing to let it all go. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. (Psalm 73:7-9)
