A painting that features President Obama posed as Jesus Christ crucified on  is on display at a community college art gallery in Boston.
The painting by Michael D’Antuono is part of a larger exhibit called “Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012.” It’s on display at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery until Dec. 15^th.
The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.
It was originally supposed to debut nearly four years ago at New York City’s Union Square. But that event was cancelled due to public outrage.
“I always regretted cancelling my exhibit in New York because I feel my First Amendment rights should override someone’s hurt feelings,” D’Antuono told Fox News. “We should celebrate the fact that we live in a country where we are given the freedom to express ourselves.”
A spokesperson for the art gallery told Fox News there hasn’t been any criticism of the painting.
D’Antuono said the public exhibition “has afforded me the ability to right a wrong.”
He dismissed critics who called the display blasphemous.
“The crucifixion of the president was meant metaphorically,” he told Fox News. “My intent was not to compare him to Jesus.”
D’Antuono blamed the controversy on conservative media “trying to promote the idea that liberals believe the president to literally be our savior.”
In the aftermath of his aborted first attempt – the artist said he received more than 4,000 emails containing messages that were “anything but Christian-like.”
“But I accepted that it is their right to express themselves and hope that they now see it in their hearts to afford me the same right,” he said.

            This writer has traveled the world, every continent, passport stamped in 157 countries. Most natives, wherever, China, India, Russia, etc. were looking for SOMETHING-SOMEONE AUTHENTIC. They thought they had found it in me, someone who would go through the rigors of traveling blind...honoring them by visiting their country.
            I never cease to be amazed by gullible American's..people who have inherited so much from their ancestors, the patriots who died for their liberty. (Jesus did not introduce complicated liberty.) The spiritual investment God made in this nation, to put it in the vernacular, from 1799-1892, even the supreme court declared this a Christian nation, Christianity is set up very much as a U.S billboard campaign, the church, the church member, a witness-testimony-advertisement to what we believe.
            If you were to ask your neighbor to borrow his car, he would have the right to know something about your character-driving record. So, too, the rental car agency. No one just lets anyone drive off in a heavy-expensive car knowing the risk involved on the highway-anywhere. Yet, GULLIBLE Americans have allowed the liberal-asinine not only to take over government but every area of life....education system, judicial system, health and welfare systems.
            It started 100 years ago, the progressive movement of Wilson followed close on by FDR...controls, borrowing money. We are still paying interest on the $100 million that Woodrow Wilson borrowed to finance WWI.  Most people who get involved in government, elected office, actually have the desire to make things better. It does not take them but a few days to find out that they are near the "cash box" and can pay for votes.
            Government agencies started with an attempt to sanitize, butcher shops-water systems-restaurants. From this, thousands of government agencies neither fish nor foul. 143,000 federal workers (this does not include postal workers), just shuffling papers. Many offices duplicated, many have no idea why they exist.
            Ask anyone, particularly a veteran or a member of a veterans family, dead or alive, the most inept agency in all government, the veterans administration. This totally blind, 100% disabled, service connected medical officer veteran of the Korean war era, having been on staff of military hospitals, patient in military-veterans hospitals, does not have the vocabulary to describe the incompetence-futility-profaneness of the system.
            Combined with the above scenario and each citizen has his own story, comes the condition of the nation at present. Why did not this broadminded, liberal, decadent artist paint a picture of Mohammed? We would see how much he would boast about that. Why has Obama not put a stop to the idol worship involving him, presenting him as the savior-messiah? He is not the first human being to classify himself as a super human. Paul tells us, "And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, [saying, It is] the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost" (Acts 12:21-23).
            Insulting to me, a Christian, embarrassing to any church, where are the real star wards of our faith? We do not expect black liberation theology to challenge this black liberated President BUT, the real Christian community should be enraged that there is antichrist in The White House. Now we can understand why only 1% of all Christian churches are growing, why 1,700 Christian preachers leave the ministry each month.
            One embarrassed church member said to me recently, "I invited my neighbor to go to church with me", and the neighbor said, "If going to church with you will make me like you, than I am going out of town."

            Troubles with the spotted owl brought to the nations attention over the past decade, now believed to be more a problem with the spotted owls cousin, the barred owl. So, attempting another way to save spotted, the "good-times folks" environmentalists, have decided to shoot and thin out the barred owls which should bring great comfort to all of us.

            Much like the spotted owl, bacteria. The good-times folks, big Pharma enabled by the state controlled news media, decided that all BACTERIA IS BAD hence, anti-bacteria soap, wipes, medicines. When will they learn that our body, nature, even the existence of man on earth, depend on the effectiveness of bacteria...the gut, trash piles, everywhere.

            It has been astounding to the "so called" medical scientist using placebos in research. Thinking their "miracle drugs" so great, many studies found that placebos were more effective than the drugs.

            Have you ever considered how much greater warfare, antagonism, religion-intrigue, among Muslims would be if not divided up into different sex...sunnis, shiites, kurds, all of whom like to kill one another.

            Have you ever considered the liberals who love government controls, totalitarianism, so much, what life would be like in this country, expenses personal and public suffering if not for the CONCERN and Christian principles of those who do believe as well as, can recite "the golden rule?"

            God, in his marvelous laws, telling his chosen what they could eat, was careful to eliminate many crawling things-even flying things such as the owl, "...the vulture after his kind, And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind" (Deuteronomy 14:13-15).   In the food chain, the magnificence of it all, the owl has its reasons for existence.

            On the farm, vast acres of woodland near our farmhouse, the sound of the owl at night was most bothersome. Once in a while, an owl would decide to vacate the woods and spend some time in that wonderful oak grove which surrounded our house. My hard working, God fearing, father, who prized his rest at night, encouraged the owl to move on by firing his shot gun up into the tree.  At times, the risky treatment of antibiotics, destroying the effective bacteria of the intestine, it is necessary to revitalize your helpful internal bacteria with probiotics.  

            Just as important, as never before in world history, bombarded by instant news of "travails" the world over, instilled-stamped in our psyche, amid world chaos, God is eternal, "For I [am] the LORD, I change not" (Malachi 3:6).  For those from responsible ancestry, those of us who are veterans of war, the very idea of an antichrist in The White House, on the highway of America, we think we see the sign, "last exit."

            One Sunday morning, many years ago, the last church where I was a member (First Baptist, Wilmington, NC), country club with a steeple, 11 well paid ministers, such as minister of spiritual formation and minister of connections. (I went there many years because the church was 5 blocks from my house and I could walk, God whispered to me, "Why do you keep going there?" In the over 20 years I was a member, I never knew the baptistery to be used one time.)

            Please don't tell me that the world has changed such as, women in the military (now wanting to be on the front lines, even in submarines), fairness to the gay agenda with same sex marriage, tax payers funding abortion (Planned Parenthood abortion clinics, 75 killings a day).

            So far, the government or Satan owns your house. Rid your house of the television and its trash, the poisons of so called foods such as chips, artificial fats and preservatives, GMO's, MSG's.

            This writer believes that placebos (harmless, psychological, no therapeutic effect), extend into every area of life.  Therapeutic oils such as chamomile, lavender and peppermint, etc. effective more for their smell-texture than remedial value, perhaps, even the alabaster box filled with such used on our blessed Lord by Mary Magdalene. We fall for and fail in many attempts to improve circumstances with our faith. One in which I was caught- "International Council of Christians and Jews" (38 groups and 32 countries). You can check this, I find that millions of dollars given mostly by Christians to an organization which does not recognize messianic Jews (Jews who believe that Jesus is the messiah, son of God), an organization which pays its director almost $900,000 a year.

            Perhaps many, but one thing this writer has been subjected, over the years, speaking of worldly matters in relation to spiritual truth. Many believe that matters of the world should be kept out of spiritual writing and speaking. Perhaps, but we must live in this world with its "flaws."  Our blessed Lord, put on a tent of human flesh, lived among us and showed us that we can live among the trials of this world. The world chose a thief and put our blessed Lord on the thief's cross. As a thief was out still robbing on the streets, the greatest event in world history was settled, once and for all. Jesus is the word. "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven" (Psalm 119:89).

            The world has become addicted-accustomed to fraud and phonies. Genuineness is a thing of the past. In the creators magnificent design of the "Good Earth." (Pearl Buck) Minerals of great value were put down deep. You do not find precious stones, just laying around and, the element which has intrigued man kind from the beginning, always of great trading value, gold. When it became too dangerous to carry large amounts of gold with you (nuggets, coins, etc), the practice of fiat paper money started but it was always backed up by gold. Today's fiat paper money is backed up by nothing but thin air. In this time of never before seen debt, duress of the economic system, the money printing presses, particularly in America, are flying...printing out the worthless paper as rapidly as possible to satisfy the rapidly decreasing value of the paper dollars, the rapidly increasing inflation of everything. In Germany's Weimer republic, just before Hitler and the Nazi's took over, in Mugabe's, Zimbabwe, paper money was about as worthless as toilet tissue.

            Almost every news broadcast now is punctuated by an advertisement for gold. We know the history of the "gold rush" in this country, mining of gold in Africa and other countries. Many of us have collected gold coins traveling the world. FDR confiscated private gold accumulations in America in April, 1933 paying $20.67 per ounce. Gold almost disappeared in America, much jewelry produced from other metals. Then, 1971 the " "Nixon Shock" closing the gold window paying $35 an ounce of the remaining gold.  Naturally, other countries "scoffed" up America's gold. Myth is, much gold at Fort Knox, no one knows, like everything else in U.S.A government, no accounting practices, "keep the fools fooled." Today, gold is on the market for $1,700 an ounce. Thousands of jewelry stores, private hotel rooms, have become buyers of scrap gold.  Even Mahalia Jackson's much photographed gold teeth would be a sartorial premium-investment.

            In the deception of our age, leading even to truth in advertising, truth in lending, truth in renting, the economic battles of truth in banking, money value, seem to have escaped truth-voracity. The entire world is about to be set on its head. We know about the counterfeiting of treasury bonds but now comes the counterfeiting of gold bars... gold bars with a veneer of gold, filled with tungsten. On the jewelry street of NYC, 47th street, a dealer paid $18,000 for a 10 ounce gold bar just to find it filled with tungsten which is $1 an ounce. Gold bars are being advertised online, in commerce all over the world, particularly from China. Both China and India have become the world's traffickers in gold. Many have forgotten that if all the world gold, were in one cube, it would only measure 82 feet. All of the gold rescued from the earth per year, would fit into the average living room (about 14 feet)  (http://money.howstuffworks.com/question213.htm).

            Today, lines over America, hopeful people buying lottery tickets for a 1/2 billion dollar prize. The tragedy, even though they say otherwise, most do not yet really believe that a prize of eternal life in splendor is a free gift waiting for those who repent of their sins and claim regeneration-rebirth in Jesus Christ. Jesus, father son and Holy Spirit, an indescribable mystery available to everyone with winning ticket, graced by faith plus nothing.

            Children learn jingles on the T.V and radio quicker than anything else. Most remember the Ivory Soap advertisement, "99.9% pure." Certainly anyone buying gold wants pure gold. It is a radical thought but anyone should want purity throughout life, purity in education, purity in legislature, purity in law enforcement, purity in the judiciary, even purity in the relationships between men and women.

            Can we even imagine what life was like before suspecting everything and everyone. Even poor Yasser Arafat, dead for eight years, exhumed because someone failed to adequately test the toxicity of his tissue for poison. When I heard that Arafat had died, the first thought in my mind, 'He was poisoned.'  Poisoning has been warp and woof of the Arab world. Old Testament, Nehemiah, cut bearer to King Nebuchadnezzar, tasted everything before the King ate and drink. King Husain of Jordan, before he died, talked of how many cats had died in his palace tasting his food. It never ceases to amaze me, that human beings, dealing with other fallible human beings, will allow a surgeon known for drunkenness to cut on them, a pharmacist known for drug addiction to compound their medicine.  We eat food with labels of words which we can not pronounce, allow children to be taught by sex pervert teachers and, mystery of all mysteries, actually go to a building which we call worship, where professionals just as corrupted by sin as ourselves...many having not yet experienced the washing of redemption, sing about our savior and talk about his love.  BUT, think on this, the most powerful message I can give you, millions went to the polls in America and voted for the most powerful antichrist force in world history since the Great flood. Can you believe the newest Obama poster showing him in a cheap replica visual posed crucifixion scene? Was it not bad enough for the comedian in Las Vegas to call him 'Lord and savior to the world" (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/27/jamie-foxx-obama-lord-and-savior-furor-soul-train-awards_n_2199439.html)? If this Marxist President has any respect left whatsoever, knowing the Christian heritage of this nation, he would put an end to this antichrist notoriety. Doesn't it shame the Christian churches, both African and white, who know about the real-genuine-pure savior, the church-bride of Christ, represents.  Another new twist toward the antichristian movement in American...another way of making money from religion- one young man has started an "After the Rapture Pet Care" movement with a website and all details. In a genuine-pure effort to show concern for the pets of Christians raptured when Christ returns for his own, for fee, he will care for their pets "left behind."

            Don't feel it strange that unbelievers are making a mockery of your faith, a mockery in the genuineness of anything, even gold.     "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 1:7).

            One of the most frightening things to watch from a distance, one can only imagine experiencing its horror up close, an avalanche, a rapid movement of snow and ice. This writer witnessed avalanches in polar areas...much like the breaking off of tremendous areas of ice into flows from ice bergs. The word phobia means a morbid fear...photophobia-fear of light, arachnophobia, etc. Can one even imagine the claustrophobia of being engulfed by millions of pounds of ice in an avalanche? Since the Presidential election, I have felt the captivity-helplessness of the Patriots-Christians plight in the avalanche of last days of the American republic. 

            Edward Lytton's famous book Last Days of Pompeii, tells us what it was like in that city during the eruption of volcano Vesuvius, the helplessness. Walking the streets of Pompeii, this writer was very aware of what had happened and just how quick it happened. The liquidation of the American republic has not be as fast as an avalanche or a volcano eruption. We have all the warning signs, signals- alarms blasting. "Say yes to the righteous, that [it shall be] well [with him]: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Woe unto the wicked! [it shall be] ill [with him]: for the reward of his hands shall be given him" (Isaiah 3:10-11).  No other empire-culture-society-voted for captivity and slavery. At this holiday season, the best "visual" I can show you, the carcass of the turkey, bones picked clean. The Christmas tree, all the ornaments (goodies), on just one side of the tree. So obvious to anyone but the dumbest, 1/2 the population of the United States working-many times several jobs, paying taxes, producing, providing for family (Their healthcare, housing, food, education...many times even at home). WHILE the other half of the population, ENTITLEMENTS, the side of the tree with all the gifts and goodies, at home in the 'Lazy Boy', watching trash on television, housed, fed, pampered by every possible government program, living off the taxation of others. The moochers even disguise themselves as the disenfranchised, plotting and profiting at every troth, pretending-simulating disability. In the years of the Obama regime, food stamps doubled. Now, Planned Parenthood an even bigger business, some clinics 75 abortions each day, collecting as much as 50,000$ a day.

            More important than anything else, what this slide into the chasm on immorality has done to the souls of men. Jamie Foxx, performing in Las Vegas, said from the stage, "It's like church over here. It's like church in here. First of all, give an honor to God and our lord and savior Barack Obama" (http://celebs.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981776985). I do believe there was a time, before God gave us over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28) that God would have melted him on the stage like the democrats laughing and clapping when God was removed from the democrat platform at their convention in Charlotte, NC. Perhaps God is amused just to see how far Satanic evil can go. We know that we are up against the powers of darkness. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]" (Eph 6:12). The Christian must be satisfied to know that "Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

            In another article, this writer, now a totally blind, 100% disabled, service connected medical officer veteran, describes his experience observing an abortion at an army hospital...those little hands, little feet, torn out of the mother. Many patients felt they could talk with me, a rare thing with doctors these days. I have never forgotten the 60 year old woman who told me about her abortion when she was 20. Her life had been a memorial nightmare to that child..."They told me it was just some tissue, later I learned the truth. I never married, that was the only child I would ever have and I have grieved everyday of my life."

            On one trip to the Holy Land, the manager so sensitive to my disability, in Tiberias, on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, a room with a balcony just above the water. That night, a ferocious storm on this lake which is just 17 miles wide.

            After Jesus feeding more than 5,000 from a boys lunch, picking up 12 baskets of fragments, he told the disciples to get in the ship and go across the lake. In the darkest hour of the night they, on the boat, saw a figure walking towards them on the water through the wind and the waves. You must put flesh and blood on these people of The Bible. I do not believe his closest disciples ever really understood that they were walking and talking with God. The artist has been so clever at depicting this event. No canvas could ever really describe it. Anyway, conversations at some distance, Peter actually stepped out of the ship and WALKED ON WATER, the only human being to ever do so. BUT, as would we all, he took his eyes off Jesus and became aware of what was going on around him. The shortest prayer on record, "Save me" (Matthew 14:22-30). Then, now, always, that is all it takes.

            Five times in the New Testament Jesus said, "Be of good cheer." As he walked on the water towards them, he made this salutation. This is the only hope for us in this seeming-less, hopeless situation.  He has told us, those of us who are his, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" (Hebrews 13:5). The record is clear, after men and women of faith have hung their very lives on the faith of Jesus Christ, we are not talking about shades of darkness, a halfway house in Christianity, chosen, separated for his good will. The persecuted church has always been a growing church. 89% of churches in America are dying. Of the others, only 10% grow by membership transfer. 1% of all churches are growing by evangelizing and baptism. Real Christians are worshipping in store fronts in homes. This is where we will get the succulence to persist.

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you" (2 Cor 6:17).

I have today been preaching on the intercession of Jesus. Sweet subject! Our great High Priest appears in the presence of God--for us! He pleads our cause, and will carry it against all our foes. He sends the Comforter--to teach, sanctify, and console us. He employs Providence--to guide, guard, and provide for us. He will never rest until He introduces us to His Father, "as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish--but holy and without fault!"

            Hearing this read to me (I am totally blind), I think of my great grandfather, word is that he was a great preacher, elder P.T Lucas, Wilkson County, NC. He was born in 1857, the year in which this preacher sermon was preached.

            Just think, a boy during the Civil War, too young to go to the war but surely knew all about it. The Lucas family owned a large part of Wilkson County, NC. I understand that my grandmother, one of his 12 children (mother of my father), never let anyone forget that she was a Lucas, daughter of a great preacher.

            Even though P.T Lucas was a prominent farmer-land owner, his great passion was Christ. Even me, born on a dirt road before power or phone lines, or paved roads, can not believe what it was like for this man to leave a wife and children at home, travel by horse and buggy...just paths through woodlands to establish churches and preach throughout Eastern North Carolina. I met one old preacher who remembered him (he died in 1906), staying at his home. It was Reverend E.A Killtte's job to take care of my great grandfather's horse. He said it was the finest horse he had ever seen.

            Do you think my seminary professor, PhD, son, although he spent many years on the mission field, could understand early ministry? Certainly not my two grandsons, both studying for PhD's, never knowing life without electricity, telephones.

            From all the people in the world, God chose the Jewish nation..what a history of these stiff necked people. But, of all the world, no nation or people as blessed as Americans. Today, reliable report, 89% of all churches, slowly dying...mostly white hair. The other 11%, 10% membership increase just from transfers of membership, only 1% of all churches have a growing membership because of evangelism-baptisms.

"Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet, Lest we forget, lest we forget!" (Kipling).

            J.G Chesterton, so famous as an author, there are books and scholars devoted entirely to his writings, said, "What is wrong with the world? Just two words, I am."

            A staggering thought, looking into the average church house, average school house, average court house, your house, America-2012, comfortable-sophisticated-educated people, even those who claim the name of Christ, much more interested in what the world is doing-keeping up with the activities of the world than the welfare of the eternal souls of human beings...their own, their family, their neighbors. In the amyl acetate of the nose-colors, light came into the world and men for 2,000 years have preferred darkness to light (John 3:19).

            There has never been a better time to be a Christian in America than now. We have only one message, Jesus, the one who created H2O-the one who can calm the waves and the wind, who could heal the blind and the sick, raise the dead, was either the greatest hoax the world has ever known or he was who he said he was. He preached himself and the world for 2,000 years has been changed. I have known people to be healed, mind or body just by reading the four gospels over and over again.

            The only lessons coming out of the Middle East, PEOPLE DO NOT LEARN. Surely you remember Yasser Arafat, the table cloth head dress, surely you remember Henry Kissinger's detente diplomacy. My entire lifetime, particularly when I finished high school, 1948, and the Israel state was established, amyl acetate of noise from Arab-Jewish-European-American leaders, rocking and rolling to the Semitic hatred which began with Hagar and Sarah, barrers of two Abraham children (there were many more wives of Abraham after Sarah's death). Even then, 5,000 years ago, Hagar chased out of Abraham's house with her child Ishmael, the un-chosen, the pagan. Sarah, had learned to resent her hand maiden, baring a child of convenience. But, even the angels were aware of the conflict. The Middle East, Semitic struggle, old as history.

            This writer will never forget my first visit to the Holy Land when bifurcated by Jordan, the hatred between the descendants of Ishmael and the descendants of Isaac. Presidential election after Presidential election, billions of U.S dollars funneled to Israel-Egypt-other Middle East countries. The ancient strip of land, Gaza, where Phillip encountered the Ethiopian unit where I saw hundreds of Jewish green houses, growing food for most of Europe. Attempting to purchase peace from the Hamas Palestinians, Gaza given to the enemy, there first action, demolition of 25 Jewish synagogues, then setting up for bombardment of Israel. Just across, Egypt, Cairo. Right ready to cross over, Brotherhood Muslims, supplying Hamas. (City population-17 million.)

            Now, we expect Hillary Clinton- Arab brotherhood- Islamic terrorists, to straighten things out.

            The frame of reference in this never ending conflict, property rights. Like Mark Twain, I knew a family who traveled to the Holy Land long before airplanes, they went by ship. Even then, conflict over sand.

            My two grandsons have no concept of the life of their great grandparents and further back. Today's youth, today's opinion molders, power brokers, have no concept of the history and property rights "branded"-etched into these people. Perhaps the world should be glad that the Muslim nations are so split, Shiats, sunnis, etc. They enjoy fighting and killing one another...property rights, religious rights. We understand Ishmael, a child of convenience, Isaac, a child of promise. Satan has a fear of disobedience. Christian, in the world, know the reality of love verses hatred even though, it has been a hard sell, a King wearing a crown of thorns.

            One of England's longest reining monarchs, Queen Victoria, visited a paper manufacturing factory. She told the owner, "I want to see it all." He led her to a warehouse filled with bails of rags-smelly colored rags. She said, "Do you manufacture paper from rags?" He said, "Our best." We bleach the rags clean before processing. A few days later, a package arrived with paper from the factory. He told her the paper, baring her name and royal insignia, came from the cloth-smelly rags she had seen in the warehouse.             My first experience with glass bottom boats, Winter Gardens, FL. This is another tourist attraction, boats gliding over water, your looking through the glass bottom to see sea life in its native habitat. All over the world people study sea life, on my trip to the Antarctic, pods of whales...their snouts spraying water. God surely loved marine life. In our mind's eye, we see Jesus on the shore of Galilee, fish and bread over coals, come and dine (John 21:12). All his disciples were fisherman, rough hands, rough speech, rough "rearing", accustomed to the cold, real men.  

            If only there were more glass boats in our lives so we could study what makes things and people "tick." In spite of ourselves, most of us want truth. Although, I know many who want truth DISGUISED, can not face it in one's own life, lives of family or friends, lives of professionals-politicians, the drama and drag nets of everyday living. Still, we need the truth. Jesus told us that he is the truth (John 17:17).

            This writer in an octogenarian. The first time I saw pizza or potato chips, I was an army military officer. It is all a matter of the "bringing up" of children, learning to eat healthy. You never recover from poverty but there is one good thing about being poor, your diet. This writer has traveled the world, every continent (passport stamped in 157 countries), I found that the poorer the people, the sparser the food, the healthier the people. On Easter Island, Pacific Ocean, 500 miles from the coast of Chili, people so anxious for me to see their hospital. There was not one patient in their hospital. Their sparse diet, live not dead plants, seafood, exercise, no vehicles there, KEPT THEM HEALTHY. There are multiple programs on television and the radio pertaining to health..doctors-nutritionists interviewed. This is the age of supplements, and this writer is a firm believer in supplements.

            All over the "good earth" the soil has been depleted of minerals. God put on this earth everything man needs for health. The body has a remarkable ability to heal itself. There is no such thing as optional nutrition, the body will not digest synthetics. Most grocery store items have more nutrition in the packaging than the "food" you pay for.

            The green color of plants comes from magnesium. There is nothing more important in human health than magnesium, essential to the mitochondria of cell metabolism. There are trillions of cells in the human body, each one a chemical factory. Magnesium triggers the entire process.

            In America, 63.1% inhabitants are obese, 25.8 million are diabetic. Most are not fooling when they say they are hungry so, they eat junk and stay hungry. The junk becomes fat and your body dies a slow death from starvation. IF ONLY YOU HAD A GLASS TO LOOK INSIDE YOUR BODY AS IT STRUGGLES FOR SURVIVAL. Easy for your doctor to say, "Don't smoke, don't drink alcohol." Most doctors never mention nutrition. There are more old smoking alcoholics than old doctors. The most useless profession ever encountered: the nutritionist. There are 60,000 people employed as dieticians or nutritionists in America. SUCH A WASTE. You know your body better than anyone else. In this information age, the value of being able to read, you can study your bodies needs, learn to eat correctly. Only an absolute idiot could believe that you just eat things that taste sweet...so good. The shyster fast food sellers have learned to put sugar and salt on everything to addict you. In ceremonial Jewish law, offerings to God, sweet savor of burnt offerings, salt-sugar-spices condemned. God gave strict instructions in his law about food, live-growing plants, certain meat raised and prepared correctly, all the minerals, herbs essential for health, found in nutritious food. This writer recommends garlic, turmeric, cinnamon, fennel, seeds and nuts.

            The heart is deceptive (Jeremiah 17:9), a manufacturing ability for idols...among these, food addiction. The human being learns to hide behind a facade of fear...so afraid to tell anyone that everything is not "FINE." Even people going to their doctor will say, force of habit, "I am fine." Do you notice how everyone laughs at everything?...terrified of taking responsibility for self...self expression.

            We become the books we read. There is no reason why anyone who can read is not educated about health, especially their own health. Not in the future, already here with the abomination of Obama care, you will learn to take care of yourself, your family. We live longer, there are more 85-year-old's in America than 5-year-old's.  I know of nothing more important than the welfare of your soul, your preparation for living. It should start in the schools but there is a concentrated effort by the new world order to keep people dumb. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he wrote The Declaration of Independence. Shakespeare, 31, when he wrote his first play, Charles Dickens, 15, when he started writing. We have several generations that think that religious faith is feeling, not fact. That if anything feels good or tastes good, it is alright. 70% of young people voted for Obama, they like the undisciplined life, an immoral life, lack of integrity. Young people know nothing of history, what ancestors and defenders of liberty endured for their sake. Many of us refuse to see the life left in liberty, stomped out by those who just don't care.

I believe I prepared myself for life...education, hard work, I do not want it all in vain. Every so often, take a look through the glass. American Capitalism Gone With A Whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a Burger King burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Weimar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, losses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties, and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more than a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motors) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, and so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "free man" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Frank, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest, and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

            I am convinced that this totally blind, 100% disabled, service connected medical officer of the Korean war era was convinced by God to travel and "sense" the entire world, every continent, including every totalitarian, communist country. I believe in these communist countries, citizens would talk to me about their plight because of my disability, they knew that I could not identify them. They needed someone to share the horror story.

            It happened in Yugoslavia, Hungary, I remember most, spending the night at Irkutsk on the shores of Lake Baikal when crossing Russia on the Tran Siberian. A young man speaking fluent English, talked about their life in communist Russia...the hopelessness of it all. I told him about observing on that very day, chained prisoners lined up at one railroad station on their way to the prison camps of Siberia.

            I had visited the tourist places of Russia years before, seen the large cathedrals converted to museums, had attended a May Day parade in Moscow. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, in his book, said, "Russia forgot God."  The emperor truly has no clothes, as we learned from the fairy tale. This writer learned long ago that no one wants to hear it, over the years, I have reminded those who would listen or read about everything in the above article. So expected, we wrestle against wicked powers in high places (Eph 6:12). I find most Americans, most church members, do not realize that we are at war against Satan...Christians much too anxious to imitate their lost friends and associates of the world...wanting to act, dress, talk like them rather than to imitate Christ.

             Republicans will never elect another President. The republic is doomed. Ms. Obama now has an office in the West Wing of the White House. The Marxist of the county have taken over, led by the gay agenda.

            Republicans, this last time, offered one of the best moral candidates ever (successful businessman, family man, totally moral). The time before offered a war hero. The republican primary, everyone said, any of the republican candidates (Gingrich, Santorum, Perry, Paul, Bachmann, any one offered a better President than the one of the past three years who would dare run for re-election following his golfing-groping-grueling first term). But, he won a second term with all the bluster-bigotry which we now must endure.

            Douglas W. Kmiec, Pepperdine University, republican, said he voted for Obama and supported him because Obama "sounded more Catholic than most Catholics I know." WHEN a Presidential candidate, now the President, reveals himself to be a Marxist, educated as a Muslim, and has shown absolute incompetence in office, 25% of the evangelicals support him, Catholics (pro-life, pro-family) support him and his gay agenda against freedom of religion, even the dumbest of us should realize that only God can intervene. God has always turned those against him, of a reprobate mind, "to do those things which are not convenient" (Romans 1:28).

            Several times in my life, as do we all, living among the unbelievers and pretenders of believers in God in this world, a fine, young, ambitious man would say to me, "Tom you take this matter of religion too seriously."

            If there is no God, why the pretention? Why express thankfulness-faithfulness-gratefulness? Why Thanksgiving?

            Just because we are stupid enough to think we are fooling God with our pretentions...singing of hymns...good works, don't think for one minute that God is stupid. He knows the heart, knows those who are his. His father chose, and gave to him those he elected Him to have, those with which God wants to spend eternity. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). It could not be more clear: "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:10). 

            We are squatters in God's territory. Basic Christianity, the very beginning, one tree, he set up his rights, he is boss. The 20th century church made a beggar of God, using modernistic-Madison Avenue methods, deceiving people into thinking that God needs them, wants what they can do for him. For God to be God, he does not need anything. The real Christian is not begged to believe in the faithfulness-mercy of God. One does not beg a real Christian to attend worship services, prayer services, servitude for Christ. Church rows are filled with members who signed a card, into the Baptistery a dry sinner, out a wet sinner, never knowing the joy of salvation in living and giving.  

            William Kepler said, "God moves in mysterious ways." Jacobed and Amran's son Moses, retrieved from the Nile by Pharaoh's daughter, raised in Pharaoh's house with all the knowledge of the world. So, Moses wrote The Torah, face to face relationship with God. God telling him everything the children of Israel should do, laws they should observe. Often, 203 offerings in one week....sin offerings, grain offerings, peace offerings, . Read the book of Leviticus and learn the offerings-sacrifices in detail, everything expected of these people to obey God.

            As the offering plate is passed in your church, "tips" given to God, think of these nomads, living outside in tents, giving the best of their flocks-unblemished outside and inside. Any imperfection seen by the priest and the offering was rejected. Never justify or rationalize an offering to God. There is nothing more PRAGMATIC. Just as Mary Magdalene, breaking the alabaster box of expensive ointment, anointing Jesus and Judas, the thief, one of the disciples saying, "What a waste. It could have been sold and money given to the poor." To raise money you always use children and the poor.

            Just as at the dedication of Solomon's temple, when 22,000 oxen were sacrificed-sheep beyond number, the children of Israel knew that God loved the sweet savor smoke smell of sacrifice. Perhaps in the smoke, God could not see an imperfect animal for sacrifice-burnt offering. Perhaps he got mixed up in counting the amount of oil or flour. Perhaps he would not have missed the liver of one animal if the priest wanted liver for supper. God could detect the sweet savor of a liverless animal. Then, as today, you can not out give God. They knew the power of his presence, were told not to touch a mountain, arch of the covenant, to do so, meant death. God does not mess around. The Jewish nation were slow learners...the history is there for everyone to study. God does not change, he is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Today, just as 4,000 years ago, the fire of God's existence must be burned into the soul. If God told the Israelites not to use a goat with a wart, to burn 13 bullets, surely we know that God can count. We do not put the 13th floor in a hotel (Psalm 66:12-20, Numbers 29:13-14).  4,000 years ago, 2,000 years ago-the cross, this side of the cross, for the real believer, this world is not our home, we obey while here. "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure" (Phil 2:13).

            This writer would be the first in line to tell you about the discouragement-despair of living in a sin infested world. Think of what is was like to "hang on" to the promises of God in the promises of the Old Testament, the prophecies of the New Testament, the profanities of today's world. Peter, one who knew best, said, "Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness" (2 Peter 3:13).

            There was an intimate relationship between Jesus and his disciples. Never, did they stop showing respect to him. In a world of spoiled children, hypocrisy, compromise, political correctness, it is so important for God to smell the sweet savor of respect not only to himself but to those who have weathered the storms of life. The older I get, the more I appreciate those old saints who had learned so much just from living. Please God, forgive me for my egotistical attitude in presenting your word from the pulpit. There were so many in the audience through study and the experiences of life more able to teach me. The disciples, the profits, the saints of old, did not seek to impress God but to obey.

            With every year, I appreciate the apostle Paul's words, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).

            In our lives, rich- poor, intelligent-stupid, by hook or crook, we all have a vocation. This writer is so ashamed of his record in his vocation as husband, father, even Christian laymen, representative of Jesus Christ. I could have done so much better. BUT, so thankful to have been chosen, elected, having the eternal spirit of God in my heart.

            In this information age, preaching, teaching, every area of media, there are young people who still have no knowledge that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their redemption. They know rock-rap lyrics, too vulgar for conversation. Of course, they have never heard evangelical hymns, nor even Handel's Messiah, even Johan Sebastian Bach's, "Sheep may safely graze on pasture. When the shepherd guards them well." They are like the woman in East Berlin telling me it had been a long time since she had seen a banana as she held up a cucumber.

            This totally blind, 100% disabled, service connected, medical officer veteran, completely insulted-embarrassed-distressed, learning of the African studies program at his alma mater, UNC Chapel Hill. This writer so remembers not only the hard work of study but the hard times of off campus work trying to pay the bills (8 years-school during the day, work at night).

            And so it is the comic-comedy, harassment of diligence on Thanksgiving, 2012. 

            Traveling the world, every continent, children much the same the world over. As they approach with their begging bowls, bloated stomachs, they know thankfulness for any food. I often wondered just how many of these children have known sweets and then we learn that Hostess is closing down, manufacturer of the famous, "Twinkie." It is not that 15,000 workers are out of jobs but union bosses are more anxious about their payday than the welfare of workers, thankfulness of people, both children and adults for the Hostess products.

            In a nation where 1/4 of the evangelicals voted for the Obama abomination, many still know the joy of thanking God for food...sparse or bountiful, since 1863 when President Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a holiday. Mostly the family, but even corporate citizenry has recognized the day.

            I well remember my parents taking food to an orphanage on Thanksgiving. Later, a child at that orphanage, a college President, told this writer that it was the only day of the year that he was not hungry. Both Dr. Raper and this writer new the significance of Paul's words " As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk ye in him:

Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving" (Col 2:6-7).

            This Thanksgiving, in spite of everything, poverty of childhood, challenges of education, marginization due to disability, this writer as does most of the disenfranchised of the world, has the blessed assurance of knowing that the blessed right hand of God has led and protected all the way (Acts 2:33).

            Mortimer Adler, editor of the encyclopedia Britannica, believed in and wrote much about angels. Like this writer, Adler and others, know we have a guardian angel. Just as we must fear the dark powers of the air, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]" (Eph 6:12). We know we have the protection of God. To know the election, protection, of the shepherd who know us, is sufficient reason for Thanksgiving. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27). 

            Terrible things happen to people every day, highways, runaway technology, just think how much worse it could be without the protection of the creator of the universe.

            Only a few Christians have understood. This writer, in days the before total blindness, still attempting to drive, mostly by the white lines in the highway, never when dark. Driving my new Cadillac, I got caught on the highway as darkness set in. Just before I drove under a large truck, my guardian angel took over, steered my car around the truck, never slowing down. I had nothing to do with it, ALL OF GOD.

            It is not turkey or Twinkies that make for a great Thanksgiving, but thankful hearts starting with you as you look in the mirror.
