Omelet

OMELET

Not in medical school, schools for dietitians or chefs does anyone realize the importance of food. This marvel of God’s creation, the body, must have nutrition. You have heard me say before that the wrapping of most food products contain more nutrition than “so called” food found in many grocery carts. The soil is depleted of nutrients. We do not understand a virus but know that most meats are dangerous. Water systems contaminated with chlorides-fluorides (poisons).

Perhaps the most important meal is breakfast AND, there is no nutrition as important as that found in a fresh egg. But, as the great writer C. S. Lewis has told us, ”It is impossible to get a good omelet from any way you scramble rotten eggs.” We simply have forgotten the essential-basic physiology of sound nutrition…myrochondria. In all your learning, study the importance of supplements. The surgeon –butchers will not tell you that oregano will cure most prostate cancer. The internist will not tell you about the importance of garlic or tumeric. “Big pharma” and “big medicine” cannot buy big Mercedes with simple solutions for health problems.

This totally blind medical officer veteran has a terrible time trying to cook. A blind person must be so aware of fire. I was so badly burned, so much damage to my kitchen with a fire on my stove. Recently, attempting to scramble some eggs…a good plot for a Three Stooges movie, I became confused, thought I put the eggs in the frying pan-stirring and scrambling, just to find out when emptying the pan onto my plate that I had thrown my eggs into the disposal. Now, it is easy for me to get discouraged, to sink into despair, BUT, our blessed Lord whispered to me, “At least you have a disposal”, just think how marvelous your mother and grandmothers would have thought just the same. All they had were slop buckets. A slop bucket was used in country homes for table scraps potlikker, which the hogs so loved.

In the high tech world of technology, fast food, convenience, we have forgotten the trials of our ancestors. Just think, in 1900, 90% of the American population was living in rural areas…no electricity, no paved roads, a telephone perhaps every ten miles. As my old friend, Dr. W .C. George, UNCCH Medical School, said, “The greatest health care in the world was on the country far. Berries: (blue, black, red, etc.). Fresh eggs, vegetables, raw milk…people and their animals untainted by vaccines-synthetics, GMOs, and MSGs. We are all heading for eternal death or eternal life.

Dr. Roy Masters, a Jewish psychologist, radio talk show personality has said, “I am a Jew but I know more about Christianity and am a better Christian than most Christians I have known.”

When will we learn that we are slaves? We have a master, if Christian, God is boss, we are always on call.

Most Christians I know want our blessed Lord-God to be a bellhop…to just be around when we need him. We have a distorted value system. Whether physical or spiritual. Can you even imagine the flaws inside your body from abuse? Toxins-abuse-addictions have a way of showing up on the outside. For instance, everyone probably has cancer cells internally. We cease to have fat cells after age eighteen. Abuse, stupid eating habits, slavery to special desires, even exotic chemicals and prescription drugs, slow suicide. Your health, physical and spiritual, reveals the master to whom you yield.

There a silliness among Christians, a “checklist”, do’s and don’ts. If you belong to Christ, chosen, elected, predestined, you are always on call, an obedient slave. Your faith determines circumstances, not circumstances determining your faith.

God is not forced to be good to us; the record shows that He is, in spite of ourselves.

If you live long enough, as every word in god’s precious word has told us, you will not escape problems.

One farmer’s mule fell in his well. He could not decide how to extract the mule from the well. Like Adam, the first man, henpecked, his wife made the decision, “Just bury the mule in the well.” His neighbors came, fellow church members, all throwing dirt into the well. At first the old mule was depressed, discouraged, then the mule just shook off the dirt and kept climbing a little higher, finally, shaking it off, walking out of the well, leaving behind the disparity of this present world. making his own omelet.

The Old Testament is punctuated by Jewish sacrifices. There are only three times that sacrifice is used in the New Testament…praise to our Lord, offerings to our Lord and work for our Lord. Caring for the greatest of God’s creation, the human body, is hard work. Living the Christian life is not complicated, but tough, hard work.
