May 21,2020                         Reaching Out

I can remember as a child, my mother and grandmother saying to us as were going to someone's play yard or to some relative house " Don"t Be Ugly". Ugly to them was not behaving yourself in the right way and, we knew what the right way was because we were always warned on how to act.
I supposed my whole mission in God keeping me here, to remind everyone to Not to be Ugly and to always be aware of my mission and, my mission was more than financial. I hope my life will count for much more
.
My only child, my son, Dr.John M. Morris in is last years of being in the seminary as an associate professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, told me, in a short distant across from the church was a drive inn theater that put out many x-rated movies ( porn ). My son built a cross about his height painted it white  and on the nights of the movies while on the church property he would walk up and down the street carrying that cross he said more and more cars would slow down and finally very few cars were going into that drive inn movies anymore. He said finally the owner came out to talk to him and told him that he close down the porno movies and would only show first class movies. ( What one man plus God can do). I truly believe the quality of movie making has gone to nothing and the only movie house that are putting out any movies are shady films.

In this time of this virus scare- slow down-cut down, we have all had time to think about our future and the future of our country and our belief system. Can we even imagine what it was like when our forefathers trying to satisfy there hunger by growing food humus around the roots of large trees. It was around these trees- the growing root system that our ancestors learn to share the burdens of cultivation and harvesting. They knew, as we have learned, that we have to make changes in all directions in order to have food in our stomachs of us as well as our livestock. I can remember times of drought, in these times when everything was drying up we had to haul water in barrels from long distances for livestock, mules, cows, hogs etc.. It is a sad thing to watch thirsty animals that are pinned up so that they cannot find water they have to just wait and hope for something to happen. We are waiting, for something to happen, while waiting in the lifestyle to happen, family in prison, our lives crushed in our efforts towards accomplishments whether it meant working in a store or the dirt of a farm.

God has told us in the answer book to "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" Hebrew 4:16
The most rewarding thing about this scared disaster is being prohibited from attending church knowing and dealing with Christians who were so anxious to keep us not only safe from disease but have joy helping the problems. Never in a time in history completely unlike any recorded time in history where we are caught up in the challenge.
