Nakedness

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20)

                                           

            The older I get the less I understand WHY, with only one life to live the way sane people will let their body go, knowing full well that what they put in their throat, their nutrition, determines their health... even their ability to fight disease. Incrementally, in my lifetime everything just gets worst. When I was a student, 70 years ago, cancer and diabetes were rare diseases. Today one half of the population have cancer and almost the same percentage have diabetes.

            This world traveler can tell you, without fear of contradiction, that there is only one nation in the world with so many obese-overweight people. Americans have a love affair with food, one in ten Americans say they spend 300$ a week on food.

            In one of my office buildings, one group of psychologists, fourteen rooms, a group specializing in eating disorders. When I was in practice, a patient talking to me about going on a diet, I would say, "There is only one effective diet. You must start eating each meal each day, for one week, with four other fat people. All of you eating your meal naked." There is nothing as ugly as a naked-flabby-fat individual. This is the reason clothing is so important, but I want to speak about nakedness.

            The earliest report of nakedness is found in scripture, when Moses and the three million children of Israel arrived at Mt. Sinai. Moses went up the mountain to converse with God, to receive the commandments. When he came down the mountain, those he had rescued from Egyptian bondage, were dancing around a gold calf naked.

            Nakedness has always been associated with sin, in every dark "strip joint," you will find nudity, even some beaches on haven islands. When this writer arrived on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, I put on my swimming trunks and went down to the hotel swimming pool. Everyone around the pool, except me, was naked. It is when you see nude ugly people, you'll appreciate clothing.

            I was sitting on the front porch of my beach house, on the ocean, with friends... one lady said to me, "Tom, I'm glad you cant see. There is a young girl in a bikini coming down the street and she seems to be eight months pregnant." Just the thought of such a sight, the thought of the disrespect to others at the beach, young children, her baby, I went into my house and vomited into my kitchen sink.

            And yet, our not thinking-concerned-committed church goers, even Christians, even in America... not showing the nakedness of themselves in their unconcern for what is happening to our nation... to the world.

            Think of the unequivocal evil, the burning alive of a Jordanian pilot in a cage, in Syria. Closer to home, think of the evil involved in planned parent hood, "chopped up" innocent babies... selling tissue and body parts.

            My seminary professors son told me that recently he was asked to speak at a large Texas church, located in a county seat. He said the church, which would seat hundreds, only had a small plump of about 20 people there just on one side of the building. Their church had died and these remaining old members did not seem to realize it, unconcerned that there was no young people in the church. Unconcerned about the great commission. In Shakespeare's "Hamlet"... "to thine own self be true." (Act 1) Generally speaking, everyday of my life, we lose ground. Only about ten percent of the population are interested in changing things: most of us hiding behind a shell of deceit, not even realizing the controls media, government, political correction, envy for popularity and acceptance, has on our life.

            We know about corruption, we just want to blame the wrong corrupter. "Ye that love the LORD, hate evil." (Psalm 97:10)

        

Finding One Thing

I notice there is a consistency of silence among the general population, in restaurants and public places. They seem subdued withering in a cloud of discontent.

When I was younger, sighted, more energy, so interested in every thing, so intent on changing the world. I am much too old now, too tired to fight but, I can assure you, that everything is done by design.

I had just a shadow of vision in one eye, walking down an innocent looking street in the nations largest city, New York City. Progressing along with white cane, suddenly, huge doors swung open erstwhile, large, innocent appearing building, with sirens blaring, cars came roaring out from tunnels under the building; enough to scare anyone to death, some type law enforcement, CIA involvement. Now, Police Chief, Ray Kelly, tells us he is prepared to shoot down planes over the city. Does anyone consider the deaths of people in a falling plane? This was my instantaneous revelation, that undercover, almost without our knowing it, the world had changed. The time has come for each of us to find one thing in which we are very interested, something we can study, attempt to reveal the satanic involvement to others.

For instance, the influence of the super rich on the nation and the world. Three percent of Americans pay 52 percent of all taxes. Across the world, there is a cabal of the super rich such as multibillionaires George Soros, Richard Greenway, Warren Buffett, etc. Along with members of the Bilderbergers, royal families, who have a keen interest in population control and controlling the enslaved, along with banking.

Another, America's involvement in world warfare and what this warfare is doing to the world... economically and spiritually. For instance, a useless war in Iraq where things are probably worse now than they were before. With the tremendous loss of life and money in this war, our saying we will withdraw, we are leaving 40 of the over 500 bases which were there during the war, $2.5 billion (tanks, A/C units) in war equipment,. The American embassy will have over 1000 employees in 21 buildings. Leaving the “spoils” of warfare along with personnel, as we did in Europe, Korea, Middle East... just permits the depressed taxpayer to make the military-conspiracy richer by building more to use in other countries – Libya, Somalia, Pakistan, etc.

Next, The gay agenda influencing everything about American life, politics, education, church activity. We have God's word to go by, non ambiguous about sexual activity, homosexuality yet, denominations, churches have bought right in to the cheapening of life just as they have bought into abortion, eugenics, euthanasia.

We have seen bubbles, one after another, .com bubble, the housing bubble, the bailout bubble, perhaps there is nothing worse than hard-working, god-fearing, tax-paying parents, with young sensitive children losing their homes in a mortgage crisis. No wonder that 85 percent of the population so despise government because, in spite of what the state-controlled media, that bought and sold politicians want you to think, people are smart enough to have figured it out.

Smart enough to have figured out the contamination of their water systems with fluoride-chloride, even continuous vaccinations. The news is beginning to get around that chemicals control as well as kill. Many of us are getting the news out that the cells of the human body are starving for lack of nutrition. The average grocery cart is filled with expensive, useless, trash. There is no food value, nutrition, in GMO, synthetics and sweetened, coupon-purchased, “make believe food”. In Africa, we saw “dirt cookies” baked in the sun, sweetened, served to children, just to ease the emptiness in their stomach. Among the poorest, Africa-Asia, you never forget children holding begging bowls as they approach vehicles with tourists.

How easily Americans have become communists, totalitarians, have accepted the authoritarian way of life. The best example of this, something I will never be able to understand, “Homeowners Associations” in my city there are over 1000. you own your own home, upkeep, taxes, yard care, etc. yet gestapo-types in your neighborhood dictate to you about your house, parking, decor (outside color, window treatments, etc.). We can well understand why Representative Ron Paul is so popular with the common man. Completely unexplained, how the black minority, 20 percent unemployment, among youth 27 percent, any prospect for a job, American industry has been sent abroad (NAFTA, CAFTA, etc.: voting 95 percent democrat) American Jews, so anti Semitic sensitive (voting 97 percent democrat), closely related to the Arabs, Muslims, are seeing their wealth confiscated, above all people, should share in the preservation-cheapness of life.

Perhaps the most insulting thing Obama has said to the American people, “get out of your bedroom shoes into your marching shoes” Most of us have had little time for bedroom shoes or flip flops. No bedroom shoes, only marching-working shoes. Many of us even wore combat boots, something this president knows nothing about .

God put shoes of iron and brass on the children of Israel when they left bondage. During their forty years of wandering in the desert, their shoes and raiment never gave out. (Deuteronomy 33:25).

I have traveled every communist country, no more regulations there than here. Now, 230,000 more federal jobs-democrat votes to be added to the EPA. Word is out for a military draft. One thing you can find, most employed with government jobs, the rest guarding those employed.

Real Christians, real military veterans, real parents, the fight is now.

Profane or Profound?

Everyday, the Christian feels that he is rowing upstream against the profane currents of satanic activities rushing his way. The United Nations and most of its members, are promoting a new world religion, a religion worshiping “mother earth”, giving the earth and its terrain, animal-life and plant-life the same rights as human beings...an earth-worshiping religion.

I was in Bucharest, Romania during the horrid rule of Ceausescu. At the city's largest hotel I talked at length with a young man whose Christian parents had been imprisoned by the Communist regime. He was 9 years old at the time of the imprisonment and he, like the children of all Christian parents, was sent to a political indoctrination camp. He said, “I listened and pretended to absorb their humanist philosophy of hatred and earth-economic science, but the first time I was allowed to see my mother, I let her know that her Christian fervor had not been wasted on me.” Those familiar with recent history, know that even the Communist sympathizers had enough of Ceausescu, he and wife were both killed by Romanians on Christmas Day, 1989.

This blind writer knows the futility of physical blindness. The fact of losing my vision in the military service,the futility of dealing with government, the futility of working for 50 years with fellow citizens who do not care. But I know full well, more so every day of my life, that physical blindness can never be compared with spiritual blindness.

God made Adam from the dirt of the earth, dirt which contains every element that the human body needs. Eve, wife of Adam, was created from a bone in Adam's ribcage, next to Adam's heart, symbolizing support and submission; not from the bone of a foot, the head, another limb, but from the side. Parents, side-by-side, is the most important picture in a child's life.

The Romanian man was blessed to have parents who believed in God. His belief system, his discipline started in the playpen. Too many parents live to see the discipline of their children start in the penitentiary, instead of in the playpen. Even Jesus honored His parents. (Luke 2:51). The Bible is full of good information, but perhaps the best is found in “bringing up a child”. (Ephesians 6:4) Children who are reared in the admonition of God will not swallow humanist, Godless philosophy. They will think about earthly things which God has already done for them, giving mankind dominion over the earth, all plants and animals in submission to mankind, and the greatest act—almost beyond comprehension—God's atonement for man's sinfulness.

Wikileaks has given the world a glimpse into the decadence of American foreign policy. We know that Musharraf was paid millions to keep the lid on Pakistan's government (money put in a Swiss bank account). We witness the murder of Benazir Bhutto, who knew too much. Pakistan owns and controls nuclear weapons...a real problem for Kashmir, India, Saudi Arabia and other countries. We can well understand the tap dance of America, in spite of the masquerade of Pakistan helping shelter bin Laden and his harem, if indeed he was still alive. Bhutto had said he was dead ten years ago, and so had many others.

Who cares about truth, truth is rare, the tobacco industry in America was destroyed (growing, cigarette making, etc.) because scientists, whose every move is controlled through government grants, had said that smoking is bad for you. It probably is, although many still smoke cigarettes, especially women. However, I maintain more people dig their grave with a fork than smoke their way into one.

Last year, $167 billion was spent on obesity-related diseases. Two-thirds of all adults are overweight and one-half of all child are overweight. Diabetes, which was a rare disease in my youth, is now rampant. The profanity of the government giving money to the WIC program (Women Infants and Children['s Food Supplement]) for food which is spent on junk. I am told there is not enough nourishment in most grocery store carts to help anyone. There is probably more nourishment in the cardboard containers than the food in the box...to say nothing of the plastic, which is poisoning everyone. Obese parents always have obese children. We have become a Cracker Jack box society, more interested in toys than nourishing our starving cells. Those getting WIC money, welfare dollars, should buy nourishment, not happy meals. We are attempting to socialize human behavior according to wants, not needs.

The prophet Malachi preached 500 years before the birth of Christ, teaching the true values of living and giving. No better picture of profanity, a profane culture, than when our blessed Lord was betrayed and tried. The trial was illegal in every sense of the word, His followers knew nothing about it, His closest disciples deserted him, but the most profound action of humankind, the Creator of the universe, asking for their, and our, forgiveness.

Fingerprints

Only a blind person knows the importance of tactile sensation, dependence on feeling with the fingers. No two people who have ever lived on this earth have had the same fingerprints. Before the foundation of the earth, God had designed us individually, knowing full well who must depend on fingertips and God gave that special person, very special sensation. Just as healing energy is spiritual energy, I am convinced that every sensation of the body is spiritual.

I had rather be disliked, even despised for doing right than to be liked and honored for doing wrong. We do what we do because we believe what we believe. It does not bother me in the least that someone does not believe what I write or say, one of my friends said to me, “someone asked me if I knew you. He said, 'I just cannot believe what says about fluoride and other toxins in water.'” I said, “tell him it is his body, his future involved, it does not matter what I say or think, study, spend as much time researching these things as I have. There is little energy obtained from water anymore, the essential of life.” The camel is on his knees morning and night, seldom takes a drink of anything, but will not drink polluted water, and as the great preacher Charles Spurgeon said, “anything that causes a man to get down on his knees to God, is gain to him.”

Nothing takes God by surprise but, as from the very beginning, He wants a close relationship with His believers. Nimrod, great grandson of Noah, wanted this relationship by building the Tower of Babel to the heavens. We heard the words, “the eagle has landed”, but we know that the heavens belong to God. (Psalm 115:15-16) There is much man-made wreckage on the moon, several nations firing missiles at the moon, but the earth was given to man. (Genesis 1:26-28) Significant that there is more technology in today's cell phone than there was in the lunar module, which may or may not have landed on the moon.

We have really messed up things here, climate control, new world order, globalism. A few flagrant apostles of greed are trying to redistribute wealth; in Cancun, Mexico recently, United Nations efforts in weather control talking about world warming... in Cancun, the coldest in 100 years; their last meeting, Copenhagen, a icy blizzard. Atheists, communists, promoting the Chinese system of population control, one child to a family, like the founder of eugenics, Margaret Sanger (white racist, Nazism), the Rockefeller Foundation, Planned Parenthood, such followers as Hitler, Carnegie, then and now, wishing to eliminate the undesirables (she referred to the black race as “weeds”, the disabled as evil). Sanger told us “that abortion may be necessary, but birth control is more important, the answer is to prevent conception.”

One of my heroes, a cousin, minister of the Gospel for 75 years, superintendent of an orphanage. He told me, he cared for 80 children on a budget of $10,000 a year. Of course, many of the provisions were donated, two of my aunts worked there. One of my cousins, who had worked there at one time, would take outstanding girls to her home for high school and other life training, preparation for college, homemaking, etc.

Because of her activity in the church, I remember Odell, right after she graduated from high school, a big occasion for her adopted family and the church, preparing to enter college, this was during WWII. She met a local young man who soon, in the navy, left for the war. After the war, they were married, one of my aunts said, “that is real love, he never takes his eyes off her. When she plays the piano or does anything else at the church, you can tell that she is the only person in the world.”

In a nearby town, he went into the service station business, he was the most dependable, reliable car mechanic in the area (I was away in college and the war during those years, but I heard the story). She worked with him because they had a market in the building where one could buy bread, milk, etc. I was told that the entire operation was flawless, clean, all work, everything, completely dependable. As the children came along, she would keep the children at the business, they became everyone's interest. This couple, in their lives, in their home, business, became what God intended all of us to become, responsible. Whether Odell, her husband, my minister cousin with his love for orphans, anyone, the only thing we take with us when we leave this world is our personality, “the soul that never dies.”

You will find nothing about space travel or even any interest in the moon until 1820. It was in 1830 that a Presbyterian preacher by the name of Graham began talking about nutrition, the uselessness of white bread (the graham cracker was named for him), the importance of raw food. It was about this time that Dr. Kellogg of Battle Creek, Michigan started developing nutritious foods, cereals, dried fruits. The word 'calorie' had not been mentioned until 1900, until then people would not worry very much about flour, sugar, fat. Thinness became important during WWI, and more so in WWII, there were even posters during the flapper generation (the roaring 20s), talking about thinness and exercise. At that time, there was still nutrition in food, today, one might as well eat cardboard. 70% of the country is obese, mostly because the body's cells are starving for nutrition, and the junk we put in it just adds weight, blows up our fat cells. So much of our nutrition, energy is just used up in trying to rid our body of toxicity. Toxicity from prescription chemicals, aspartame, toxins of every type found in food, chemicals in the plastic around the food and particularly from hot drinks in plastic cups (BPA, which endocrinologists and government scientists have shown contributes to lowering testosterone). So many chemicals leach out and poison the system, when will we learn that there is poison in the well, affecting masculinity as well as the general health of everyone.

Almost as unhealthy as being overweight, the diets, so popular in controlling weight, we always look toward Hollywood for the answer. There was the apples diet, the Hollywood 18-day diet in which you just had skim milk and bananas. There was the Beverley hills diet, put out by Judy Mazel, who knew nothing at all about nutrition, you would start by eating fruit and after the 19th day, finally eating protein. Then there was the Atkins diet, mostly fat and protein, no carbohydrates. The cardiologist died because of his own diet, although quickly cremated, there was no autopsy.

In spite of Michelle Obama, the obesity rate is creeping up. Tobacco, caffeine, and beverage alcohol was introduced into man's living habits about the same time. The mystery of the ages, why would any thinking person put a toxic substance into the human body unless trying to commit suicide, if not quickly, slowly. Water is a poison, it will kill you in sufficient amounts, taken quickly. The madness of 8 glasses of water, you must consider other liquids and the liquids in other foods, you know more about your body than anyone else...care for it.

There are pyramids along the Nile in Egypt, but some of the world's greatest pyramids are in the Yucatan in South America. I stood in absolute astonishment as I thought of the thousands of Aztec Indians sacrificed to heathen gods on the top of these pyramids around the year 1500. An estimated 80,000 sacrificed in two weeks time, the priest slitting their bodies open, removing their hearts, the rotting corpses piled on one side of the pyramid, all in an attempt to appease angry gods.

Our names are written in the hands of God and glory of the universe, Who is able to hold the oceans of the world in His hands. He gave us our individual fingerprints, He has no hands but our hands to do His work today, His imprint on our lives.

Cinderella Story

My mother and father's families lived in the same community, all went to the same school, same church. Our family church was built by my great grandparents on both sides, just at the end of the Civil War. I don't believe I realized until I went to college, the concern people in the church, people in the community showed for my mother and father, and their new family. I remember the first time I came home from Chapel Hill, everyone in the church was excited, years later, one older lady said, “your mother and father were so attractive, so talented, such wonderful personalities, we all knew they would have beautiful children.” All these people had watched us, growing up...we were expected to show all the Christian citizenship, traits of our parents, grandparents.

This is the Cinderella story, in the Cinderella story of older citizen's youth, stories always ended well, “they lived happily ever after.” Even the stories of old movies ended well, stories in children's books ended well. Life was expected to have it ups and downs, but to end well. Americans still want to believe in the Cinderella story.

During the last century, during my lifetime, the carnal mind took over in every area of life. There was probably some corruption in government, political bosses, whoredom in industry, politics, education, previously...but it was the exception, rather than the rule. Now, in spite of the fact that we wish it otherwise, it seems that the pathology of sinful activity controls the world.

With increased scientific knowledge, we are learning not only the results of sin, but the fallacy involved in not disclosing sin. For instance, we know that every government bureaucracy, board, panel, are all controlled by pro-abortion people, mostly liberal Democrats. Breast cancer is almost an epidemic, yet no one discloses the fact that women who have had abortions are more likely to have breast cancer. The scientific evidence is in, and this is not fairy tale science, the normal becomes abnormal when sinful activity takes place, from the time of conception the breasts begins to prepare for the delivery of the baby, with a surge of hormone and other activity preparing the mother for milk production. The unfortunate act of miscarriage does not affect the system, but forced abortion does. A woman who has never given birth, an abortion at her first pregnancy, increases her chances of breast cancer an estimated 50%. Abortion is not natural.

Lawyers and courts can put your legal hand of permission on the despicable act of same-sex marriage, but the science is in, sexual perversion leads to an early death, it is not natural. Courting, dating is old-fashioned, now I understand it is a matter of “hooking up”, the hooking up leads to early cohabitation. So many straight young people are living together without the benefit of marriage. The debutantes, parents presenting their daughters to society, the white wedding dress, all old-fashioned. We have all heard, “we lived together first to see if it would work out”. We have found that “shacking up” does not decrease the divorce rate, it is not natural.

With every revolution, French, communist, in every totalitarian country, Russia, China, Cuba, the first thing to be destroyed is the family. The family is the oldest institution on earth, established by God, found in every civilization, God-fearing or not, the family older than the church. Essential for the preservation of the species, far better than anything else in training children. Shortcuts, destruction of the family, is not natural. It started in Europe, 1968, no-fault divorce, acceptance of fornication and adultery, children becoming wards of the state, socialized healthcare, along with total control of education and work. The removal of human personality and responsibility is not natural.

The owning of a home, personal satisfaction in the care and decoration of a home, both outside and inside, pride in ownership, sane marketing practices, victim of obamanation with banking terror. More foreclosures last month than anytime in history. Mortgage records a disaster, some homes being sold several times, if no reliable records of ownership, payment, why not just go to just any parking lot and drive off just any car. Business practices among Americans in a time of computer expertise, has become unnatural.

What has happened to our country, babies usually start walking before they start talking. I am convinced that political and spiritual leaders started talking before they had done the walking, 92% of the Obama appointees, have never had any practical work experience, like so many Christians, they know the talk but not the walk. There is a big difference in doing something and telling others how to do it, church people are usually the first to blame God for problems. God will allows us to make horrendous mistakes, but he looks over us while we stand over spilled milk.

It never bothered me to tell a pregnant woman that she was harming her new baby by smoking cigarettes. It does not bother me to tell a young woman that drinking alcohol leads to breast cancer. In the post-Christian pagan culture to which the world is now exposed, third world countries are in the worst economic situation ever, even in America, a small group of incomprehensible rich, so rich they are paying most of the taxes, the rest of us, most of the 300 million population, just surviving, the middle class has been erased. The greatest tragedy of this resulting population, addictions.

Government agencies such as the FDA, are controlling everything you put in your mouth, by laws, rules and regulations. It is mostly what you put in your mouth that determines your destiny. So many do not know the importance of enzymes, nourishment you can only get from meat, there is not a history of any society which was strictly vegetarian. Until 1900, the entire world was a meat-eating culture, since then addictions to sugar (the most addictive substance in the world), gambling, smoking of tobacco, alcohol. Addiction always has a negative consequence. On a scale of 1-10, which is your addiction, caffeine or cocaine? The epidemic of obesity, most addictions come from the toxicity of chemicals in your body, mostly from prescription drugs, and your inability, because of the depleted nutrition of food, to rid your body of poisons, and to have sufficient energy from sufficient nutrition. The body is starving to death while you put on fat from junk.

Nutrition deficiency is the number one cause of disability, your government with its hundreds of agencies, a nation of universities, and still, no one has told you yet, that you cannot live off Twinkies. Whether Cinderella or Superman, the human body must have real nourishment.

Nutrition (2009)

Amid another recession and possibly the beginning of another new depression an under-active over-eating populace should being thinking about nutrition in this time of economical survival. I was born during the great depression of the 1930’s and 40’s living on a farm where we grew everything we ate. We didn’t encounter the problems of hunger like people in the inner city (90% of the population lived on the farm, today 90% of the population live in the city), although there were also hungry people in the countryside. I feel very sorry for this spoiled, overweight, obese generation who have gorged themselves with rich, high-calorie, worthless, expensive food which they have eat not because they are hungry, but simply because it tastes good.

Of all the people who have worked for me over the years, most have come from homes where the children, not the parents determine the diet. Perhaps the most disturbed example was a mother of three who said, “my children will not eat leftovers”. This writer has been around the world eight times, has had his passport stamped in 157 countries and has been in the world's most productive countries several times, such as in Europe and Asia. In the third world countries, places such as Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Ghana, I have seen hungry children, heard them with their begging bowls begging for food or anything that can ease the pain of hunger. God wanted me to see both the largess and distress of this world.

I’ve never been able to eat in a expensive restaurant. The thought of paying twenty dollars for a meal is repulsive to me. Food of any sort is NEVER thrown away in my house. I have heard of lobbyists who spend hundreds of dollars on meals for politicians, just to gain their vote for something. I have known people on airline flights (in the past, since they don’t serve food on airlines anymore) to say, “I don’t eat that type of food“. Like hospital food, it was always good to me. I have heard the children of relatives complain about the food that was served to them. In the home where I was raised, we were not allowed to say anything bad about the food on the table and, as my mother said many times, ”when you're hungry you will eat” and it would make me very happy to put my feet under my mother’s table again.

I have in my large collection of antiques, papers and maps showing that my ancestors came over and settled and founded Morristown, New Jersey. I have a cast iron fireplace cooking pot which was probably brought over from England, the fireplace cooking pot was the method used by the colonial settlers to cook food, since the cook's stove, as we know it, had not yet been invented in this country. Unlike my mother's ’’home comfort” stove the iron cooking pot was hung in the fire place where every meal was what is known today as “pot pies”: pieces of meat, veggies, potatoes, and boiled eggs were all stirred and cooked together. I still have a large wooden ladle which was used to take this mixture out the pot after being cooked and place it upon plates where my early ancestors ate and gave thanks to almighty God for his abundance. Today’s young people would not think of eating such food. Even in my youth, my folks still cooked in this manner, only using a large pan in the oven. It was not until I was a military army officer that I realized the people had large pieces of meat cooked for them a certain way: “medium, well done, etc”.

The most disgusting of the seven deadly sins is the sin of gluttony. I have encountered it on cruise ships, where there are many dining rooms all serving 5 meals each day catering to the whims of pampered, overweight, nauseating passengers. No human body has the needs or can utilize that much food. As one gets older, particularly past the age of 70, less and less food is required for the body. If an older person is to retain a decent body weight, size and desired health, eating from a saucer is desirable, yet in many geriatric groups I find that the older people only think of food. You can get easily knocked down at noon on Sunday morning at most churches, if you do not get out the way of the older people who are rushing to the buffets and restaurants in most cities.

Dr. R.G. Lee, great pastor of the Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, often said ”we spend the entire week working, teaching, visiting and I preach my heart out on Sunday morning all leading to the invitation at the end of service to find that most of the members are only interested in their belly. The scriptures say their belly is their God (Philippians 3:19), the sermon trying to give their souls the bread of life.” He further said, “most are worried about eating and that they will try to leave early running over people heading to the exit doors of the church.”

For your nutrition, the best thing you can do is to throw all the salt and sugar out of your house, limit your food intake. Billions of dollars are spent on worthless diets . The only way to lose weight is to limit what you put in your throat and get off your lazy behind and exercise. You have enough blood vessels, if in a straight line, it would go across the nation, 2,000 miles. You want that most important muscle, the heart, to keep pumping blood through those vessels. God put on the Earth all the chemicals “listed in the periodic table” that the most important blood supply needs, gained through the digestive system to nourish the cells of your body. But, you don’t need to clog your heart and vessels with JUNK (fructose, sodium glutenates, etc ) and, above all the most important item to keep out of your system is aspartame and other chemical sweeteners. Science, technology and greed, “another one of the seven deadly sins”, food manufacturers in an attempt to preserve food have concocted items which will put you in a early grave. As we face the dilemma involved in the economic purchase of food, along with everything else, buy food that will help you, not HARM you. Eating healthy will be expensive, but not as expensive as paying for not eating healthy. What you put in your body, determines your health, your immune system. We bring most sickness upon ourselves because of what we put in our body. Your body is the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19), treat your body with reverence.
