Damage Control

Most politicians, like movie and porn stars thrive and travel, even prosper, in the vulgarities of fame.  For the rest of us, everyday is eventful when you walk with God.  We feel so helpless, all information filtered from cyberspace, in this technology-information age, we feel that evil is taking over the world.  Of course, this writer is blind, but his sighted friends tell him that the whole world, at least the people in it that they see walking around and driving around, seem to be deformed, they are all looking down: all looking at a instrument in their hand called a cell phone.  Has technology really improved your life?  When I was a child, there was only one telephone in the entire community for miles around.  My cousin had a telephone at his country store, and it was there, that the "community" called the doctor or perhaps the funeral home.  In all the long eight years this writer was away at universities, even the many years in the military service...of all things, a doctor or studying to be a doctor, I never received a telephone call from home-or from a girlfriend-etc.  Telephones were used for emergencies; visiting-chatting with someone on a phone was as foreign as jumping off the house. 

Family, friends, associates, keep telling me that I am "old school"...probably so, but I remember when school was school... a place for education, not a place for entertainment and indoctrination.  I remember when young doctors were interested in curing patients, not just treating them.  The word cure is not used anymore, in any medical literature.  This old soldier remembers when you went to war to win wars, not just to make the war equipment industry richer-to add military rank to officers.  (In order for an Army officer to be promoted he needs active duty war experience in his record.  Going to war will promote a Colonel to a General.)

In every organization, in which I worked, became an officer, showed any sign of leadership, I found that the more you moved up toward the top, without exception, civic, church, military, political, the more corruption you found.  At or near the top, you found that the hierarchy was involved in expense accounts-seeing how much they could get out of their advancement-attainment.  Any meeting I attended with these "big shots", it seemed to be a matter of how much "membership dues", member's money you could spend on rooms-food-travel.  Is it not the same way in legislative halls of government?  There is nothing that disgusts me more than a fat preacher-perhaps a lazy preacher.  And yet, I found in organized religion that those who are supposed to be servants-disciplined-fasting-frugal had the most expensive appetites.  I have often wondered who paid for the liquor and expensive food at the big-lavish military receptions, such as the Commander's reception on New Years Day, when all officers were ordered to appear.  In every civic and professional group where I advanced in leadership, I found that, without exception, those at the top, showed no restraint in spending membership funds on themselves. 

Am I the only American citizen who is bothered by fellow citizens, many with good intentions, who run for public office knowing what the office pays and then, immediately, want their pay increased, want the taxpayer to pay for everything they are asked to do, even for the gasoline to drive to meetings.  There are politicians who want to be paid to attend any type meeting, matters to which they should be concerned.

In this very county, in this very state, men and women run for public office knowing what they will be paid ahead of time and then want to be paid extra for anything that they do in that office.  While with crocodile tears and pleadings, they have asked for your vote to put them there...telling you how much they are devoted to making the world better...telling you how they are going to give of themselves to make life better for everyone.  These politicians-even some pretending pastors, love you and the mission and message they are supposed to protect and defend like some animals love "road kill" (just what they are getting out of you). 

Just a few years ago, we could not imagine the insanity of allowing unvetted-unknown migrants from just anywhere to be brought into our country at taxpayer's expense: people who could not speak the language, knew nothing of the customs, be allowed to keep living with housing-food-medical care at taxpayers expense.  In Europe, one million migrants have been allowed into those nations: UK-Germany-France-etc.  They multiply continuously have many more children for the taxpayer to care for than the natives.  We are finding there and here that very few want to integrate but mainly want to remain segregated.  (One of my friends, owner of many houses, recently found that one of her rental units had been turned into a Muslim mosque.)  My older grandson (I have two grandsons, a lawyer and an engineer), went to Asia with a singing group.  He told me that every Christian church where they preformed, a Muslim mosque had been built next to it.  So that in time, the Christians would be forced into the mosque.  How many Christian heads will be chopped off in America before we realize that we have been invaded, that invaders actually hauled in here and supported by ourselves, are busy picking flowers that they did not plant? 

It seems to be a mystery to some people, particularly the democrat-communist news media, that Mr. Trump was elected president.  There is no mystery to it, the hard-working, taxpaying, God-fearing citizens who are seeing their future evaporate are disgusted with what is going on...with the liberal-socialistic-communistic democrats who just want "more free stuff": free not to work- to just sit in the La-Z-boy and watch trash on the talking box-free food-free housing, perhaps more midnight basketball, cash for clunkers, or some other ridiculous government program.  I am old enough to remember FDR's program of cutting down crops, killing livestock to establish agriculture stabilization programs. 

One man, plus God, and anything is possible.  We who supported him know that, like us, President Trump is a sinner.  But, we know the insanity of voting for that criminal female, who was running against him.  The way I see it, it is going to take a Donald Trump to reestablish some basic values in America: patriotism-worship-family, all a matter of values.  When will we as Americans, once a Christian nation, stop pretending and promote a man or anyone else, who will prize values.
