Reality, Perception: Morality, Dilemma

The amateur photographer enjoys photographing sunsets. This world traveler has photographed sunsets all over the world, even with almost sightless eyes. The best sunsets are behind mountains or across large expanses of water. 

There are many things in life I can not explain, like people praying as they read self-help books. When I get to heaven, I will have many questions to ask God.  I want to question many ideas about nothingness to somethingness. I want to question about all matter being energy... Einstein shows us this in his equation. Energy = mass x the speed of light squared. We know that our entire universe is electricity, everything about the human body. For some strange reason, we just expect the human body to keep functioning in spite of its treatment, in spite of the nourishment we put in it, in spite of the stress and strain we put on it. The evolutionist has never been able to explain why everything wears out, all matter. 

Recently, two deaths in one day, men this writer knew... two very different men. 

I have joined, for many years, a group of veterans every Monday morning for breakfast. Rapidly we are dying off. The last, a veteran named Fred, who always boasted about never going to a doctor and he just fell over dead, no warnings. He was just beginning to enjoy his retirement. 

The same day, the death of James Forbes Nash and his wife in a traffic collision, returning from Europe where he had just received a prize for mathematics. 

The following day, A ship capsized in the Yangtze River, a storm just out of nowhere. 432 people died. (Chinese have souls too). This world traveler has crossed that river, been in a ship on that river several times. 

The writer C.S Lewis said, "Joy is a serious business." The only joy we can observe in the death of anyone, particularly a family member, is the joy of knowing that there is life after death... last breath here, first breath there. The Catholics would have you believe there is a buffer zone. A place and time between clinical death and heaven, a place called purgatory, where sins can be purged, by others, praying and giving, attempting to influence God. There is absolutely nothing in the scripture to support this. The sovereign word of God tells us that at clinical death, every opportunity is over for purging or repentance. Of course we are taught, in no uncertain terms, that those who live in sin are dead while they live. 

It is incomprehensible that anyone, with nominal intelligence, knowing that everyone will die (the mortality rate is still 100%, no options) And knowing just how short life is compared to eternity, knowing how unpredictable life can be ( Nash and his wife were killed in a taxi on their return from Europe, plane, to their home.) That one would want to be well prepared for exit- death. Everyone does not "fade away" in a hospice. 

Modern science will have you believe that, life is a matter of genetics, genetic intervention to make living better. In England, the popular notion is to have a nurse in the home with a child, for the first 3 years of a child's life. In the notion that the nurse can teach the child right from wrong, and prepare an individual for person hood. 

The Christian message, "Christ-like," the new birth, born again, the righteousness of Christ replacing within the individual. The old man of sin and rejection. The new birth means, that when God looks at you through his spectacles, he sees not you and your indifference, but in you, the righteousness of Christ. 

We are a new creation, different. The problem with most believers I know, they do not want to be different. THEY LIKE THEIR LIFE AS IT IS. Much like the lives of their family and friends who are not believers. They want popularity, to chase the idols of success- money- notoriety. Most people I know, much prefer the lives of "The Rich and Famous" to the servitude life of Christ. Only twenty percent of Catholics go to mass. Thousands of Protestant- Baptist churches, close their doors every year. 

The parel, golden age, the white haired saints still in the fuse, watching their church and its pastor compromise, and become politically correct... The church, a country club with a steeple. Compromising with "Gods word," in order to dance to the tune of Madison Avenue... God becoming just a bell hop; prayer becoming just a quick fix. There is no real joy or genuineness in just pretending. 

The Christian life is not complicated, just tough. Our faith gives us freedom. The grace of knowing that "whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's" (Romans 14:8). Can anyone think of a greater joy than this? 

Contempt for Contentment

Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God's wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.

"Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that!" 1 Timothy 6:6-8

"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you!" Hebrews 13:5

This writer owned and maintained a home right in the middle of Manhattan, New York City, for many years. I used it when I was there, a pied-a-terre away from my usual homestead. It was an excellent launching pad for my world travels. Of course, sightless, I missed the body language so important for evaluating people, but I could hear the rushing tenseness, even anger, in the hordes of people, streets, buses, subways in their workday of survival. I would walk through the garment district and hear men with loaded carts in pursuit of another day's pay, and I'm sure the same mental activity-anguish went on in the great banks, even Wall Street. Every day of my life when I shower-shave in the comfort of my home, I think of my ancestors, who up until my parents generation, never enjoyed any of the comforts of life... never had a good bath. Most only had two pairs of shoes, Sunday shoes and work shoes... most men owned only one suit. Some of my female ancestors probably never had a store bought-ready made dress. Beginning in the twentieth century, industry, movement from the farm into the city, the individual lost much of the joys of living. Governments find it is much easier to control people in large urban areas. Madison Avenue finds it is easy to keep people in stress about the things they do not have. Radio-television-internet advertising keeps people constantly wanting something additional or different. It has become a science aimed at certain age groups, most disgusting, marketing towards children, so, each generation becomes more dissatisfied with their lives than the last. We all want to live like the "rich and famous." Home has become just a filling station-changing room. Everyone is on the go. 

One pastor visited one of his members' homes. A young boy answered the door, upon inquiry, the boy told the pastor that his father was on the golf course, his mother, either at the gym or shopping. His sister either had a dancing class or fencing class or soccer practice. The preacher said, "What are you doing?" "I have our old, large tomcat in our freezer turning him into a polar bear," replied the boy. 

Bring back the time when we had time to look at the flowers which we had time to plant. Bring back the time when the family could enjoy a meal at a table. Bring back the time when students could enjoy a book just for the pleasure of reading. Bring back the time when families and neighbors visited. In my lifetime, I saw front porches emptied where, before air conditioning, they used to be crowded with people laughing and talking. There was a time when the doctors office didn't limit you to a seven minute visit or a lawyer could practice curbstone law (time to talk with you about a problem on the street).

I have been to Communist China three times since it reopened... amazed that those people are more like robots than robots. Your life is controlled by the government from cradle to grave. I was in the so-called "children's palaces" where all children are raised by government workers... the parents, unless hospitalized, are at work at government jobs. All young men are pressed into military service... you see them constantly exercising. All young girls are working in factories turning out stuff for Wal-Mart. I asked one supervising guide, "What would happen if one of these girls actually had an artistic thought and made something different from the others." She said, "We would destroy it." Everything is done according to standard operating procedures (SOP). Every time I go to a Wal-Mart or another of the mega-stores, I think I'm in Communist China, where piles of clothing are just there for purchase, never any displays. There was a time in America when you could window shop... do you remember mannequins? Even in Chinese restaurants, everything tastes the same, same portions, same decor. The first time I was in China, everyone wore the same uniform, men and women, same haircuts, same bicycles. It was almost that way in Russia, when I crossed the entire continent on the Trans-Siberian Railroad.

America, having been brain-washed, mentally tarnished and tainted by government media, is in the process of losing so quickly that which our ancestors worked so long and hard to establish. From the White House, to the State House, to the court house-school house-church house, we have purchased hook, line and sinker, mal-contentment with the values of our wonderful past.

I have often said, why should we be surprised when sinners act like sinners. Faith is 90% raw courage. Those of us who bear the name of Christ should be the most content, joyful people in the world and should have the courage to esteem it.

   On the staff of one Army Hospital, I assisted the psychiatrist in counseling some of his less afflicted patients.  One woman told me, "I've got scars from dealing with my scars."  A mystery of life and living which I have had great trouble in understanding, the survival-non-surrender of the human spirit, how it is that people just "keep on keepin' on".

   Perhaps I first became aware of this as a very young child.  Dessie, my father's oldest sister, had lost her new house to fire.  She and her husband had just built the house by frugal living and hard work.  She had labored landscaping the yard, sewing curtains, "painting and fixing", and it all went up in smoke.  She had lost in death her first child, a daughter, Martha.  I remember as yesterday, she said to my father, I have not been so hurt since Martha's death.  But, they rebuilt their house, more furniture, curtains, clothing.  Things can be replaced, but not a life. 

   I remember, the same time, Dessie's husband, my uncle, saying to my father, "Why do people who work hard and live right, suffer?"  He said, "My daddy was killed in WWI, leaving my mother with five children.  He was buried in Europe, but, the people and the church here held a large memorial service.  My mother, having led five small children into the church house, came home, took the Bible laying close to the front door, and threw it across the room, saying, "That's that."  She did not go back into the church for a very long time, until she learned that her bitterness toward God was not the answer.

   In a world where we have become slaves of the micro-chip, where fear kills faster than any cancer, it is time for us to face the reality of just what has happened to our world.  It is amazing, even surprising, that so few recognize what is going on.  You will not hear it from the state-controlled, secular media, because they are part of the problem.  Is it not perfectly obvious to anyone of my lifespan, that the destruction of the human spirit has been a calculated agenda of Satan?  Firstly, we have seen the destruction of our education system.  A system now of indoctrination and entertainment.  We have seen the destruction of our judicial system.  Justice based on money and politics.  We have seen the destruction of not only the schoolhouse, the courthouse, but the church house.  Most pastors/preachers are much more intent on entertaining the goats than feeding the sheep.  Worship has become an outer-court fellowship of people... this laughing-clapping-shaking hands with everyone in a worship service. (I listen on Sunday to a local Baptist Church.  In the interval between the station and the Church the sound inside the Church building is more like that of an athletic arena than the sanctity of a worship service.  Then, to add insult to injury, right away the preacher asks everyone to walk around and greet one another, something that the "oldtime" churchgoers did on the church grounds.)

  Can we not understand that the secular news media, secular universities, secular entertainment models, have overturned every absolute of right and wrong, jumped completely into the gay agenda, of same-sex marriage, polluting the front lines of the battlefield with gays mixed in with real men.  It is no wonder that America has not been able to win a war since WWII.  Military discipline, esprit de corps, has become a victim of political correctness.  We have become a nation of spiritual ineptness, 57 million of our most innocent citizens killed in the abortion holocaust while we set up hospitals to save turtles and other wildlife.

   More important than what has happened at the school house, the courthouse, the white house, the church house... is your house.  The sewer of pornography, the decadence of high-living now, is in your living room via the computer.  Just a few strokes and your children's eyes see everything that Satanic forces wish them to see.  Family life has become a problem not a priority.

   When Jesus walked around the shores of the Sea of Galilee one of his concerns was the blind, deaf, cripple.  In the American experience, next to the horrors of slavery, the greatest shame of this nation is its treatment of the disabled veteran and the handicapped citizen.  This totally blind, 100% disabled, service-connected, medical officer veteran, has yet to encounter one fellow veteran who has been treated well by his nation.  Following the example of other communist nations (U.S.S.R., China, Cuba, etc.) money and policies have been directed to those who have contributed little or nothing, and, buying the votes of the welfare class, politicians and policies, "the end justifies the means" have been established.  We are ripe for every contrivance of the terrorists.  More concern with security than for freedom.  The time is approaching that those who once fought for freedom will bow the knee and beg the terrorists to take over.  This is what happens when the human spirit of men has overtaken the Holy Spirit of creator God. 

Beauty of God In Your Life

For the blind, and this writer is totally blind (over 50 years, veteran of the Korean Conflict). You see by knowing the beauty of God in your life and in the lives of others.

God does what He wants to do, it is not necessary for Him to make sense to us. HE IS BOSS-WE TRUST HIM!

The founders of this country would laugh and then cry. My parents, my grandparents, even in my lifetime, would never believe what has happened to my country. IF, and I do mean if, the parents, pastors, military veterans of this country really cared there would be an insurgence of concern, seeking God's guidance in prayer, from one side of this nation to the other.

My own mother said, “You do not know the meaning of prayer until you hear your son drive out of the yard, onto the road in the family car, on which the family so depends.”

Bill Mccartney, who founded promise keepers in 1991 said, “Everyone must have a rock on which they can cling.” (Psalm 18:2) The world, the people of the world, need an anchor.

The debt of this nation ($16.7 Trillion) which can never be repaid, falls back on the tax payers. The extremism of insanity involving this debt can be traced directly to such federal government programs as FEMA.

In 1996, after a hurricane on this coast, there was much destruction along the beaches. I own a beach house right on the ocean. God always takes care of my house, but all around it, were pieces of houses, piers, fences, etc. FEMA workers, with their trucks and cranes were clearing off the beaches. A very articulate young man came on my porch, and said, “You must move your car so we can clear debris.” My driver had already left, I was in my house alone. I said, “This blind man cannot move the car but you can move it for me”. In order to move my car a few feet, he wrote an exclusion permission paper for me to sign. Then, in conversation, he told me the northern university he was attending, where he was living in the local city, plays in which he was acting at the local theatre... all while working for FEMA. This past week, it was revealed that FEMA workers in Wisconsin, working after the floods caused by hurricane Irene, were staying in Wisconsin’s most expensive hotel (about $500 per night, per room). This year, there has been at least one disaster every month, (flood, hurricane, earthquake, tornadoes, etc.) There are now 1.9 million federal workers working for FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).

There was a time, before regulations had destroyed competition, that men and women wanted to own their own business. This is the reason that costs for electronics (televisions, computers, etc.) have come down. Costs of everything involving government continue to go up for instance it costs $15,000 per year, over $1000 per month for the average family’s health insurance. By 2020, and even more with ObamaCare, the cost will double.

The role model in the inner city, the new entrepreneur, the one to whom youth looks with envy, with their new “duds” and cars, the drug pusher.

The CEO of Coca Cola, knowing about business, knowing about establishing businesses in many places, said that communist China is much more business-friendly than the United States.

This writer has made Eight round the world trips, cross Russia on the Trans Siberian Railway, China three times since it's reopening, so obvious, as communist countries become capitalistic, they flourish. As America, once the epitome of capitalism, has become communist, we have faltered and failed... become more and more non-competitive. On my three trips to China, the first after the Nixon reopening, textbook, classic communism. (Everyone, men, women, children wearing the same style uniform, same style haircut, attempt at equality at housing, food, education.) Mao killed millions (est. 126 million) to get such totalitarian, authoritarian control.. With each return trip, I noticed, even with my partial sight in one eye changes... changes in manner of dress, changes in decor of homes, business opportunities. The human soul, China or anywhere, desires exceptionalism, beauty of the individual. The true canvass artist does not want to paint by the number... the art critic recognizes personality in technique, difference.

I understood completely when a sixth grade teacher, working for me on weekends, said, “Every teacher I know has become completely indifferent... we just don't care anymore.”

On one round the world trip, island of Mauritius (Indian Ocean) a lady friend became interested in an airline pilot who wanted to meet me. He predicted to me the 911 disaster. He said, “Uniforms, uniforms make all the difference. A terrorist can dress in a uniform, stolen anywhere, fly a plane, drive a truck, in any way compromise security.” He further said, “A pilot terrorist, my size, stealing my uniform, leaving me in my room dead, could walk right on my plane and fly it anywhere”. This is the evil side of life.

My cousin, country farmer, knowing nothing of art, told me, that the greatest beauty he had ever seen was his grandchildren in crepe paper costumes performing in a play on a stage at the country school with handmade scenery. This is the beauty side of life.

Free Lunch?

Recently, a local man showed me an application form for membership in the Klu Klux Klan which his great grandfather used in Georgia, 100 years ago. We think that the Klan is associated with bygone slavery, that we take freedom seriously. I saw slavery in Russia during the USSR totalitarian control, I have seen slavery in China since the Mao control. Ever since the first slaves in Africa landed in Portugal in 1425, and even before then, with slaves rowing Greek ships of war and commerce, we know of man's inhumanity to man. Think of it, 21st century, slaves in America borrowing money from slaves in China, the world's two superpowers.

I was one of the first Americans to visit communist China after the Nixon reopening in 1973. I have returned twice since, after many years I still cannot wash out of my mind, the slavery which I saw there...everyone working for the government at some job, wearing the same type clothes, men and women. Every action of their lives controlled by government rule, from what they ate, haircut. to where they lived, even to the control of their children. Each couple, limited to one child, that child turned over to the government a few weeks after birth, because it was necessary for their parents to return to their jobs. I watched huge crowds outside housing gulags, eating rice cooked in large containers. A rule, before their breakfast, Tai Chi exercise for everyone. I understand that things have changed since I was there last, instead of riding bicycles, the people are driving cars (China manufactures more automobiles than America).

In a few years, China will be the world's #1 power, military, economic, educational, of the money they make, they save 40%. Like Europe, a cohesion of Islam and communism, China, a cohesion of communism and capitalism. There has been a shift in vitality from the western world to other areas of the world, spiritual, commercial, economic. There are more Christians in church on Sunday in Africa than in Europe. An Anglican diocese in Africa is larger than most Protestant denominations in America. In many parts of the developing world, the people are intent on success, spiritually, it is not the communist, the atheist, the Islamist, Richard Dawkins, but the church aisles in most Christian churches that is defeating the cause of Christ. Spoiled, overweight, lazy, people of the western world became victims of their own power and indifference.

The best example of this, America spent ten years developing a new $100 bill. After 1.1 billion of the 6 billion individual bills had been printed at a cost of many millions, some high-paid federal worker, half-asleep at the government printing office decided to check the bills, this amount representing 10% of the entire supply of US currency on the planet. This half-awake government bureaucracy discovered a “crease”. Our government is not a good counterfeiter, a good counterfeiter would have discovered the crease after printing one or two bills, would not have gone to the expense of producing so many worthless ones. It is predicted to take 30 years to sort through these bills by hand, 1 year with a machine. The government has decided to just burn all the worthless money. After all, we have had $9 billion in bills to just completely disappear in Iraq, no trace. Schwarzenegger is trying to get $9 billion from Washington to pay his California debts.

From 1650 to 1700, a great climate change fractured Europe...people starved, people froze to death, Europe is already having it's worst weather in many years, it seems that after the Gulf of Mexico, BP spill. The Gulf Stream moving up the American Atlantic coast, over toward Europe, just advanced so far and quit, Europe's central heating system has just broken down. Europe is already experiencing one of the worst winters in history, ice and snow. Food prices are soaring, scientists have been aware of the change in the gulf stream. Most scientists have become just government technicians, so afraid to lose funding. Another good example, the house energy committee tried to shut down the incandescent light bulb, legislating instead the fluorescent bulb, supposed to last 10 years, using less power, already found, those that possibly lasts only one year, if broken, poisonous mercury, dangerous to go in landfills, specialized handling.

The arrogance of the new world order is predictable, the arrogance of power is predictable whether political, bureaucratic or even pastoral. So many want the 10 Commandments out of the public square, but not back in the local church where they belong. It is believed that the Dark Ages began in 535 AD because of volcanic and other activities leading to the breakdown of social order, disruption of agriculture, starvation and freezing of the people and their animals. Christians do not need a jihad to awaken them. The greatest kings of the Old Testament were not necessarily faithless.

The US government has a policy of overreaching, big brother, they know nothing about printing money, light bulbs, but they think they know about weather, healthcare, taxation, security in traveling (TSA). If government interferes enough you will need a free lunch because when you have lost everything, if you are going to survive, you must have free food.

The most depressing matter for Americans in the loss of our freedom, everything directed toward successful lying...courthouse, state house, schoolhouse, even church house. In the judicial system, which lawyer trained to be best liar, omission or commission. Any quality and resentment leads through the gauntlet of these other abuses, at one time, law enforcement, healthcare workers, teachers, lawyers were interested in protecting people, now everyone is interested in protecting the government. Americans, and indeed, I believe the people of the world want government off their back. Most are willing to work for their food.

Gold From Heaven

Bing Crosby in his 1936 movie, Pennies From Heaven, had no idea how much a penny would be worth in 50 years. Now, since pennies are so worthless, the poorest among us do not even pick them up off the street, the song should be “gold bars from heaven”.

An ounce of gold is now selling for $1,400 an ounce, there are 438.9 ounces in a standard gold bar, this would make a gold bar worth $614,460. Unless, as many suspect, the gold bars being shipped around the world have a core of tungsten (same weight as Gold), with a plating or veneer of gold. The American national deficit with the accompanying entitlements is now $202 trillion, this means a total of 328,740 pure gold bars must fall from heaven just to pay off the American debt, and keep America in balance.

The problem, many countries in the rest of the world are in worse financial condition than America. Only WWII brought America out of the Great Depression, but it was the fact that the American fiat currency was backed by gold and silver, that the rest of the world was not in a state of financial depression, that America came out as well as she did in spite of the ridiculous policies of FDR and his communist advisers (Vice President Henry Wallace, Harry Hopkins, Eleanor, etc.)

In her newspaper column, My Day, Eleanor Roosevelt supported every Democrat, liberal, communist cause she could find. So it has been every minute of everyday since the FDR New Deal which has turned out to be a “raw deal” (movie featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger) for the average American, certainly including the misguided Democrats, who the Democrats are supposed to represent: poor, blacks, union workers, putting a misguided trust into a political party that has sold them down the river. Particularly, North Carolina with the boot of the Democrat party on the throats of the tenant farmers, cotton mill workers, segregated blacks for 120 years, under the guise of Josephus Daniels of the Raleigh News and Observer (Democrat bible). The people who most needed help from government were ostracized and pulverized by the government for which they blindly voted.

It would have been easy to drive through any southern town (they all looked the same), observe the big houses on the hill, names of department stores, banks, industrial establishments, corporate law offices, and know who was in charge, the blue-blood families, corporate heads, all Democrats. They kept the enslaved, small houses across the tracks, at the bottom of the hill, while they represent them in the legislature, on school boards, and every other way in the secular community. The elitists never entered the churches of the working man, a slight chance their children might meet in the public school. The legislature, white, male, Democrats, not one woman, one black, one Republican passed laws which kept the blacks who voted for them in the rear of the bus, and using separate facilities of every type. The blacks and poor tenant farmers and mill workers who vote for these slavemasters were not allowed to even use the bathroom in their offices or stores. There was never any doubt about who was in charge in the community, and much to my amazement, it persists even to this day, enabled by law enforcement who fear for their jobs, judiciary who fears for their jobs, educators who fear for their jobs, even their denominational leaders and pastors who'd rather please the dominating political forces in their area. More concern with what the elitists “think” of them, than what God “knows” about them.

In most places, there is usually an awakening, the greatest awakening since USSR was resorted back to a Russian republic, the discovery by the people, especially the young people of the thuggery inflicted on their country, their parents, themselves, particularly by law enforcement. Today, the biggest problem in Russia is revolt against law enforcement, police, there is a hatred against police not unknown even in the depths of totalitarianism. America is destined to witness this same resistance against the thugs who are being hired by TSA, CIA, FDA and other government agencies who are supposed to keep Americans in line... jumping through the hoops laid down by lawmakers.

Yesterday, Erskine Bowles, of the President's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, said, “Americans must face the facts of the deficit.” Erskine, now President of the University of North Carolina system, one of the “good ol' boys” of Democrat, liberal politics is evidently more blind than this writer, he is evidently more deaf than a brick. Like his father's “skipper”, who I knew, where has he been all his life? As a member of the board of directors of General Motors, as one who drowned the UNC system with money, as one who never saw a communist or con-man he did not like. Where has he been all his life? If any Democrat had told Erskine to jump in the river, we would have heard water splash. If any Democrat had told Erskine to jump in a fire, we would have smelt his clothes burning.

I have been to China three times since President Nixon reopened the place, without charge, I could have told Erskine what was going on in America, the world, in China. China has the entire population of America plus one billion people, all enslaved, working everyday to make “China central” or “Walmart” your heaven here on earth. The savings rate of the average Chinese is 40-50% compared to the American savings rate of 1%. The are 160 cities in China of over one million in population, compared to nine cities in America with over a million in population. Already replacing Japan in supplying America with luxury items, China wants to buy all American industrial might, computer manufacturers, appliances, vehicles. The wealthiest people in China are connected with government, they want their children connected with government, this is the surest sign of success. This is not the only way in which America is compared with China, the wealthiest people connected with government, government involved sociologically with the enslavement of every American life.

Communist China knows what she is doing, knows how to take advantage of friends or enemies, Taiwan is making great investments in Communist China, many of the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchises, McDonald franchises in China are controlled from Taiwan. The largest McDonald's restaurant in the world is in Beijing, China, 29 cash registers. The world's largest, fastest cargo ships cross the Pacific, flooding American Walmart stores with Chinese goods, 92% of all their sales. The Rolex watch will become a knock-off (counterfeit, imitation,), big deal, Mr. Obama is freezing federal workers pay for two years. Fact, he has employed more federal workers than any other President, paying federal workers excessively above the same work in the private work-force. Already, one by one, groups are being excluded, just as with the Obama healthcare system, the Obama pension system. Mr. Bowles and his crowd now tells us that we were in a depression for one year before it was recognized, that we have been out of the depression one year before anyone has recognized that either. When will our nation get real, get honest, get the integrity that our forefathers once knew in telling the truth. I have nothing but contempt for a government which will enslave the poor, future generations of children, while telling them that they care for them.

Thank God, we are not stuck where we start. Old age is not for sissies. I don't have many enemies because I have outlived them all. I'm not afraid of anything anymore because “I have been there and done that”. When people call me eccentric or silly, or when people steal from me, I just think of the greatest promise in the Old Testament, Jeremiah 9:12. I realize that there are 8,887 promises in the bible and that each one has been fulfilled. I realize that 27 times in the psalms we find these words, “the mercies of the Lord endure forever”. Jesus endured it all and remained righteous, from his birth until his cruel death on the cross. The youngest disciple, John, along with his mother were at the foot of the cross when he died. Lucky is the man, even God, who can have your best friend and your mother with you at the end. I stopped long ago, trying to explain God to unbelievers. Without God, you cannot understand God. To the chosen, to those who know God, no explanation is necessary. To those who do not know God, no explanation is possible.

The best explanation I can give of this involves the one man who wrote 13 of the books in the New Testament, Saul, who became the apostle Paul. He, like David, of the Old Testament, was a murderer but God had a very special mission for both. In the dirt of the road as Saul traveled to Damascus, God talked to him, man to man. I have walked down the street called straight in Damascus. Even Ananias was afraid to encounter Saul as he sat blinded but at God's command, he went to him and the blindness left...as does spiritual blindness leave everyone who has an encounter with God...and Paul, perhaps the most educated man of his age in the world, became the stalwart disciple of Christ. From Romans to Philemon, and certainly the letter to the Hebrews, the church finds everything it needs to know about God's mission for the church. Once, in Jerusalem, the great American comedienne Totie Fields said to me, “Dr. Morris, what is wrong with these Arabs and Jews that they must be in conflict all the time?” Frank Sinatra was in the same hotel at that time (both now dead, she was already in a wheel chair at that time).

In a few years, India will be the world's greatest power. I saw the conflicts between India and Pakistan while I was in Kashmir...this too involving religions. Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, perhaps the worlds two most outspoken Atheists, blamed the world's problems on religion. Dawkins attacked from a biological standpoint and Hitchens from a historical standpoint. On the first of my three trips to Communist China since it's reopening, my Chinese guide asked me about American religion. Of course, in China, Mao who killed 70,000,000 Chinese in order to wipe out all traces of foreign influence and religion, even beat up “all tombstones” in cemeteries to build roads, destroyed all monuments and churches. Still, there are more Christians in Communist China than the population of the United States...over 300,000,000 though there as in North Korea and other Godless, collectivist, totalitarian, state controlled countries religion is defiled.

My Chinese guide told me that he was taken form his village commune early in life because the officials appraised him as being bright, easily controlled and he was given every advantage so far as education and had learned several languages. He said, “I have some memory of my mother and a sister whom I loved very much”. He was about 30 years of age and had had no family contact in over 25 years. He said, “my life consists of listening to Western classical music which I have smuggled in and reading all the books I can obtain. Of course, in the forced abortion, Communist regime, there are very few girls, no one for a young man to marry and if he is not gay has little contact with anyone.

China, so anxious to build up a large Army and civilian workforce disposed of all female babies and now has the tremendous problem of a large frustrated male population. Most, like my Chinese guide, just puppet slaves of the state. Mao, Stalin, Lenin, all agreed “no amount of political freedom will satisfy the masses”. The beautifully decorated subway stations of Russia, with their gleaming chandeliers, their marching uniformed factory workers, their great military exploits, even their “free” health care system did not bring joy to the masses. Only after the Russian system was exposed and expelled did Russia develop (now a real economic force). Churches and spirituality regained their prominence.

Western civilization would never have prospered if not for the Christian church. Whittaker Chambers, American writer, Communist, Soviet spy, left Communism and became a believer after studying his child's ear. It has been a mystery of my life that anyone can be an unbeliever who has studied God's chief creation, the human body. Chambers knew that it was a magnificent sovereign design system, only possible through a divine omnipotent, omniscient creator who could design such a phenomenal feature. Even more so would have been his study of the human eye (the chemistry of tears of joy are different from the tears of grief from the same lacrimal gland of the human eye). The clotting of blood in which every chemical component must react in just an exact manner, the DNA of every cell of the trillions of cells in the human body (every cell possessing enough information of the 23,000 genome characteristics that would fill thousands of pages). I thought when Watson and Crick announced the discovery of DNA in 1953 that the myth of evolution would be wiped clean from the school books of America but, academics, because of sin, are so anxious for young people to love the creature instead of the creator. The incredibly fallacious myth of Darwin's discredited philosophy is still being taught. It is only in a Godless, Communist, tyranny that, because of the advantages to the state and, the political correctness which is part of Satan's agenda, that this idiocy is still being introduced to young minds who do not have the courage of faith.

There are many absolutes in the world, the absolute of right and wrong, the absolutes of the laws of motion, the absolutes of the periodic table, the absolutes of the notes on a sheet of music. I want my pilot to be absolute about his knowledge of flying a plane, my surgeon to be absolute of his knowledge about where to cut on my body, my politician to be absolute in the integrity of government. I want my pastor to be absolute in his belief in sins ruin and Christ's redemption. I am an absolutest, a conservative, a defender of the right, an enemy of the wrong. It takes courage to have faith in the grace of God but that connects all the dots and gives you the encouragement to keep living.

No Pain, No Gain

Much younger, much more energetic, much more ambitious, working out in the gym, one had to experience the strain and pain of opposing forces to build up body musculature. Only through discipline of exercise and limiting what goes in the mouth will you or anyone else ever get your weight, your general health, your appearance under control. It is as simple as that. These diets, regardless of their advertisements only help one person, the person who promotes them.

Dr. Atkins at the height of his diet in 1998 had 87 employees, treated over 50,000 patients and made $100 million dollars in one year. Dr. Atkins died of a head injury following a fall, but previously he had suffered a heart attack. THE MORTALITY RATE IS STILL 100%. Many of these diet promoters (South Beach, Jenny Craig, etc.) who have gotten wealthy by seeing people take off weight and then put it right back on, losing it and then finding it, will face the judgment of God for their deception. It may surprise both believers and non-believers that all will be judged (John 5:28) even those who have been dead for thousands of years. I ride by one church, mid-city, where, in it's early days on dirt streets, a cemetery was in the rear. I think of how long these people have been dead but, they too will be judged.

It was just announced that China had an increase of over 10% in their national economy last year...at a time when most of the world was in recession. Also, just announced, the only country in the European Union to have an increase in national economy last year was Poland. Poland's economy grew 1.7%. Why does Poland grow and the other European countries do not grow? Because Poland has known the totalitarian control and authoritarianism of Communism. The Pols are just happy for government to get out of the way, to let them have responsibility for their own lives.

Why does Communist China have a 10% increase? The first thing a company in the United States cuts is employees and employee benefits. I have been to China three times, I know, I have seen slave labor. You cannot beat slave labor production and sales by a slave-labor company cutting prices on all competition. Try getting into a Wal-Mart parking lot; Wal-Mart has put more small businesses out of business than famine or disease...all to the benefit of Communist China.

Last week, in a speech given in West Palm Beach, Attorney General Holder announced 5,000 pending indictments by the Department of Justice of individuals linked to financial institution fraud as part of an overall targeting of market manipulators and cheaters across the board. He said that he had devoted many years of his life investigating the sedition of brokers and other financial people in the cheating of the American public. It is about time. I have written SCC, North Carolina's Secretary of State, FTC, and everyone else who can read, about the cheating of the investing public. Many of these brokerage houses, much like a salesman in a shoe store, will just employ anyone who can breathe, the salesman in a shoe store-a shoe horn, the investment broker-a computer, and the public is at their mercy. My last broker, representing a large trust company had only two items in his resume which he always announced. He had been in the securities business for 28 years and his father was a Baptist preacher. On this, I trusted his integrity...much to my sorrow. If I had the money lost by investment brokers, taking advantage of a blind man, I would be a wealthy man. The Mayor of New York City is worth $17 billion, he paid $108 million to purchase his last term in office but, he can see.

I wonder how many times I have written Mr. Holder's Department Of Justice and his Department of Americans With Disabilities only to get the usual government generic reply, when it is obvious they did not even read your information or study the proof sent, “get yourself a lawyer”. Mr. Holder wants to pass out indictments to 5,000 thieves like Jesus passed out a small boy's lunch to 5,000 hungry men plus women and children. Christ was successful, all were filled, 12 baskets of leftovers collected. Mr. Holder, like the rest of the Obama Nation talk of “hope” and “change” but their words are empty. Like the woman running for US Senate in Massachusetts, they may be able to “ride out” their ambition, but the American people are getting less stupid. We know that the thieves who created the problems are the same thieves being asked to solve them.

Every other advertisement on television or radio entices one to buy gold. Not since F.D.R. dried up the gold market in 1933 or Nixon latched the gold door in 1971, has gold been so promising ($1,200 an ounce). You can be sure that the criminals are always a few steps ahead of you. God alone knows how much of the largess given by concerned citizens in the Haiti earthquake will wind up in the pockets of the greedy, not the needy. Tungsten has the same weight as gold...already, counterfeit gold bars are in play both here and abroad. Russia, China and India are the big buyers of Gold. China and India just bought 108 billion in gold bars from the International Monetary Fund.

China has learned that a well-financed criminal operation has put in its store house 60 metric tonnes of fake gold bars. We have heard of fake gold coins. Many of us in the antique markets have been fooled by fools gold. Like carefully-copied artwork, which often fools the art appraiser, fortunes and even hard-earned savings will be lost not just in fiat paper, but fake gold bars. Please tell Mr. Holder to double the guards at Fort Knox. More importantly, lock up Henry Paulson of Goldman Sachs, profiting $12.9 billion from the bailout of AIG...and even representative Charles Rangel, US House Ways and Means Committee Chairman, who did not know he is supposed to pay tax on his $75,000 in rental income...next to the prison cell of Bernard Madoff, who stole $85 billion from his investors and which is now in a Tel Aviv Israel bank...Tim Geithner, Treasury Secretary, who did not pay $34,000 in self-employment taxes, but is after you for your taxes, having just employed additional IRS collectors...making Arkansas congressman (Wilbur Mills) in a Potomac Basin with Fannie Flagg seem almost innocent though at the time this wet congressman and wet stripper eclipsed all news.

Don't mix reality with politics. Morality has ceased to have a part in Washington life. I knew the family of Lexington, NC native Judge Hubert Olive, judge at the Nuremberg trials. The Nazi criminals said they had not broken German laws...it was simply a matter of morality. Like abortion, prayer in schools, Nixon selling American real gold for $42 an ounce, it is not a matter of law, but a matter of morality.

When will Americans demand morals from their leaders? Under the Geneva convention, a warrior is held to a very high standard. Those who survive come home to a very low standard, a low standard of care in a VA hospital, a low standard of burial at death ($300 if not service-connected), a low standard of conduct from elected politicians. Those who have suffered the most pain, for little gain (IOUs at the Social Security Office) are the fathers and mothers who have reared the children who now work and pay the taxes for the bailouts, the sell outs, and the warriors who are willing to protect this less than honorable country.

Boom or Bust

In the many years I owned a co-op apartment in New York City, which I used while I was there. When doing business on Wall Street, I always enjoyed having someone describe the charging bull which is found in Bowling Green Park, just off Wall Street. The bronze bull weighs approximately 7000 pounds and stands 11 feet tall by 16 feet long. It is the epitome of the attitude of the Wall Street investor who expects the bull to always be charging, that trees will always grow up to the clouds, that there will never be “boom or bust”, that there will never be a necessity for bail outs, that the FTC and SEC and the multitude of other government regulators will keep all those who make obscene commissions and extravagant salaries handling our money profiles in the dictum that “honesty is the best policy.”

Now, since we are slaves to China, a duplicate bull has now been placed in the financial center of Beijing. We may as well admit it, China has become the financial capital of the world. To the American investor, we can take solace in the memory that fortunes have been made on Wall Street by the “boom and bust” mentality. In my lifetime, there have been many recessions. It is those who buy when stocks are cheap and then sell when the recession ends and the stock market goes back up, who control most of the world's wealth. And, you can be sure most of this type of “boom and bust” manipulation is “controlled” just as much as the profiteering of warfare. The only people who suffer at these times of Bilderbergers and other financial exploiter's games and gains are those who take “bill paying” seriously, those who have mortgage payments & car payments.

In 1988, President Reagan placed billions of dollars in the Treasury Department as a “plunge protector” against losses in a plunging stock market. You can be sure, as sure as you are that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow, that much wealth is being created at this time of global recession.

This week, British newspapers were again filled with the BCCI (Bank of Credit and Commerce International) scandal of the late 80s and early 90s. When BCCI came under the radar of regulatory bodies and intelligence agencies in the 1980s due to its perceived avoidance of falling under one regulatory banking authority, a fact that was later, after extensive investigations, proven to be true, BCCI became the focus of a massive regulatory battle in 1991 and was described as a "$20-billion-plus heist". Many prominent Americans were involved in this swindle, including Clark Clifford, Robert Altman, President Carter's friend Burt Lance, President Clinton's friend Mark Rich, and the Governor Averell Harriman's involvement and as you have already surmised, all prominent Democrats.

I will not attempt to circumscribe all the evils involved in the BCCI scandal. It will probably be thrashed out again in the British courts since lawsuits involving lost billions are still challenged. The obscene love for money as shown in the BCCI scandal, the Madoff horror story and even the incredible buying of the presidency in the last election make even our blessed Lord wince with incredulity at the obsessiveness and covetousness of mortals. As an old man, I can tell you without fear of contradiction that life at best is very short. You can only sleep in one bed. As you age, you need very little food. Why covet designer clothing? Your children had rather bury an honest father than a crook. I am blind, but people tell me that most dead people they view in a casket have empty hands. “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.” (Proverbs 22:1)

Once, in Paris, when I could still see a few shadows with one eye, I got in the elevator and went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Constructed in 1889, 200 million people have taken the same elevator ride. About half way up you look down at the Seine River in Paris and you think what it would be like to own all of Paris. Then you go onto the top, up 1,063 feet, and you feel you might own all France. But, when you get back on the ground and you venture into Notre Dame Cathedral and you look at the magnificence of the great rose window on the north side, you consider the peasants who visited Notre Dame long before the Eiffel Tower, long before planes, and you know that their only ownership was that of their precious faith. You are brought back to life and your real reason for living.

Yesterday, the first time in my life, I was sitting in McDonalds with my driver, wearing my Veteran's cap with my medical and military rank insignias, my blind VA and other medals and it is obvious to anyone, who sees me, that I am blind. The first time, it so shocked my driver, a man walked up to the table and said, “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO MY COUNTRY.”

We send politicians to Raleigh and to Washington to serve our country. There are three lobbyist in Washington DC, for each member of Congress. It is money, the desire for power, the dirge of favoritism and corruption that brings death and destruction to our world as represented by the disabled veteran and the many white crosses that mark the profiteering of landscape in this world. When our blessed Lord, on that last night with His disciples, showed the attitude of servitude by washing His friend's feet (even the feet of His betrayer) He showed once and for all the profiteering attitude of man towards his Creator and His creation.

People's Money

In 1968, I saw the Broadway play, Promises, Promises. In a scene in this play, an old man is in a rickety old bed; sheets made of flower sacks, an old patchwork quilt, a young dapper insurance representative of the government stands nearby with a briefcase and the sick old man, in bed, states, “Promises, promises. All I ever get is promises.”

In my lifetime, I have seen “people's money” become the public's money. If you own a farm, home, vehicle, anything which is taxable, and you do not pay your taxes, you will learn just how quickly your hard work, your frugality, your risk-taking, becomes the government's property and the government's money. Really, when you get right down to the difference, (and I have been in every communist, collectivist, totalitarian country) the only difference in a communist system and this Democratic Republic form of government is that in Communism the government owns and controls everything. In this country, the government PRETENDS you own your home, farm, etc. They let you take care of everything at your expense but really, you own nothing. For instance, (I have been in Communist China three times) all citizens are housed in public housing, four families share one bathroom and one kitchen but the government provides your electricity, water, food, employment, health care. The government provides everything you need and you, with the pittance from your job, usually a few dollars a week, can buy what you want. I went to large stores in China and Russia; there was no color, nothing enticing, just necessities with the same ambiance of a cave. This is one commercial system where you never heard anyone wish you a good day, because the day is the same for everyone.

As was the case in the Old South with the cotton mill stores and the tenant farmers who were lucky to arrive in town once or twice a year, there was no need for competition or attractiveness. The entire mantra of the Communist system, as was the case with we poor southerners, was survival.

A situation that tainted my life forever, as a young poor college student, working my way through school, selling Bibles door-to-door through the summer, each time I went inside the city limits of a town where the cotton mill was the main employer {and this was the case with most southern towns, particularly in eastern NC (Bladenboro, Goldsboro, Smithfield, etc.)} I was told by the law officer, representing the cotton mills, in Bladenboro, NC, that if any of the people in that town needed a book, “they would buy it at the company store.”

So you see, we have been in and out of the Communist system for a very long time and with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, vehicle inspections, when socialized health care takes over and a crematorium is built with which to dispose of the dead (as in every commune in China and Russia) we will be there. These small green checks which you get from the government each month, just enough to keep you alive along with government food stamps, and other government programs, will be close to the totalitarianism dreamed by Roger Baldwin, Henry Wallace and Gus Hall.

I remember so very well, attending a meeting at Duke University in the '60s, just when hospitalization insurance (Blue Cross, etc.) was a very new thing with state employees and some corporations. A doctor from New York University was introducing the system of Medicare. Of course, all the doctors in the room, having experienced the trauma of collecting delinquent accounts, were thrilled with the possibility of cramming government checks into their pockets in payment for the care of sick people. I remember, very well at the time, I got $2 to examine a welfare patient. I was the only one in the room, brave enough to raise my hand and ask the question, “What will happen when the government reduces your charge for services? Surely you recognize that if the government is going to pay, everyone who has a day off will be in a doctor's office, needed or not.” The doctor did not give me an answer but those still in practice, now, know the answer.

Some of the people who have worked for me, driven my car for me, over the years, think I ask many questions simply because I'm blind. But every time I go to a doctor's office, I ask how many people are there, and about their ages. Without exception, they are always old people simply because most have nothing else to do and the government is going to pay for their visit. (Medicare or Medicaid) Can you even imagine what it will be like when the socialized system takes over? Go to a VA hospital and see the quality and quantity of care.

In traveling the world, there is so much natural beauty everywhere: mountains, foliage, streams, flowers. It is only in the totalitarian countries; the communist countries such as Russia, China, etc., the Muslim countries such as Iran, Pakistan, Tunisia, etc. that you find so much ugliness, colorlessness, undecorated, un-kept homes and public facilities. I'm sure it was not always that way because I owned art which came from the imaginations of it's creators. I spent a tremendous amount of money in China buying pre-revolution art while it was still available. The magnificent silk embroideries (unsurpassed handiwork in colors) was all sold immediately. The magnificent silk blend Persian carpets (beautiful colors and patterns) were superlative and sold immediately. No one can prove to me that the human mind is not capable of beauty even when the ugliness of the strangulation of imagination has taken over.

In one Chinese factory, where slave labor youngsters were turning out vases for the export market, I said to the guide, “Suppose one imaginative, talented youngster would produce a vase of unusual beauty such as was produced in past historic dynasties.” She said, “We would destroy it. Everything is manufactured according to a certain pattern. They do everything the prescribed way. There is no place for individuality in our system.” Now, you know what has happened to YOUR school system. Now, you know what has happened to your money once it becomes government money. The taxes you pay, your hard work, your total obedience has resulted in your enslavement. Don't think for one minute, that your government and the people who are in charge of your government, the people who are in charge of your children, love you.

On your knees, in total obedience, you have found the change. Deception is the greatest tool Satan has in his arsenal and your government has become your idol of deception. There was a time when a person did not want to be deceived by people, places or things. There was a time when we resented counterfeit. Recently I had a woman say to me, “I don't care anything about the Bible. I don't care anything about the Constitution. I don't believe in anything anymore. I just don't care.”

Fools Gold

With the collapse of paper money, with the recession in the housing, securities, banking, insurance and other markets, with the 'Obama Bailout' of HIS friends and supporters, here and abroad, we find almost every radio and television program advertising the importance of buying gold as a protection for future security. If the crust of the earth were covered with gold, men would lie, cheat and steal for a handful of dirt. It is all a matter of scarcity and envy and corruption.

The greatest security in the world is of little interest to most men.
He owns the cattle on a thousand hills,
The wealth in every mine;
He owns the rivers and the rocks and rills,
The sun and stars that shine.
Wonderful riches, more than tongue can tell -
He is my Father so they're mine as well;

In my long life, I have often asked young people about their ambitions, what they want to accomplish in life and 99 times out of 100, I always get the same answer, MONEY. God only had to say it one time, but it would be good for every young person to learn early in life, the dangers involved...”For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1 Timothy 6:10) Money will buy many things, but I have never known money to buy happiness. Money certainly makes life easier, it can buy expensive treatment but not health, it can buy a good time but not a good reputation. Italian president, Silvio Berlusconi is making the headlines now because of his 'vice' in being able to pay for the company of naked young girls. Like some famous American politicians, who could also pay for such female 'arousal', he has lost his wife and children. Mr. Bernie Madoff, who possesses an unhealthy desire for money, ($65 billion scammed) MAY go to prison. Mr. Allen Stanford, who liked to ride in his helicopter that was gold plated in the interior, MAY go to prison for scamming $15 billion. All these men, like Judas, were con men and, I have never met a con man yet, I did not like.

The 'Whores' on the Potomac, like those at the 'cathouse' on Jones Street in Raleigh, are all very likable. They much have been, they were elected to rule over the rest of us! Mr. Terminator, the Governor of California, is now sucking up to Mr. Obama for $5.5 billion to help bail out the state of California's $24 billion shortfall. As always, like those who go to war, it is the poor who will be most affected. When the small towns and counties in California start trying to get some help from the state, like Schwarzenegger is trying to get help from the federal government, ALL of which are bankrupt, we will see a rapid decline in municipal bonds. Paper money is now virtually worthless. This 'hot money' is no longer desired by foreign governments.

In 1933, FDR confiscated all the gold in America and in an even greater disaster, President Nixon closed the gold window in 1973 (the same year beginning the abortion holocaust); gold was selling for $35 an ounce and foreign governments, such as Saudi Arabia, were glad to exchange their paper currency (payment for oil) for gold. So, as in England, most of the gold of the world is now in vaults east of the English Channel. (Particularly in Russia)

Foreign debt, such as our tremendous indebtedness to China, will never be paid because there is nothing to back it up. Yet, China can not afford to see the world's largest economy fail. It is no secret that China prefers to buy the debt of Germany, but, like the United States, China has many problems. First of which, large unemployment; second, a large male population due to the 'one child rule' and the abortions of girl babies and the resulting homosexuality; thirdly, the decline in exports which accounted for 60% of the Chinese GNP; and finally, health problems since 65% of the Chinese population smokes cigarettes. It is unfortunate that political leaders in Washington have not visited China, as I have 3 times, and seen the horrendous nature of government health care there. (Patients lying on floors along hallways, operating rooms in which prisoners taped eyes, mouths, etc having vital organs transplanted to others)

Democrats, with their great union support, were happy to see industry move out of the country, particularly to Mexico. (NAFTA) Little did the Mexicans, happy for their new industry, expect to see it move again to China where labor is even cheaper. When I returned from China, just after it reopened in 1973, I said to a reporter, “You think Japan is a danger to American industry, just wait until we are swamped with goods from China.” I saw the 'slave labor', the industry, everything being 'geared up' to build every product mankind would need anywhere in the world. With the help of Wal-Mart, the deification of Chinese goods has been completed and China has become the world's “corner store”, “Mom and Pop” operation.

Most shoppers do not have the patriotism within the very cells of their body to care where anything is manufactured, how many of their fellow citizens the buying of foreign made products have put out of work. Even the fact that these products are supporting a Godless ideology (communism), and that the children who work in the factories (and I have seen these children) are just slaves of the state, with no comprehension of any goodness of life on this earth and uninformed about the joys that could await in life to come. Most have forgotten Tienanmen Square, most fellow Americans care nothing about human rights unless under their own roof and their pet's welfare means more to most than God's chief creation surviving or being aborted.

Few remember last week, some may remember that during the Great Depression the stock market went down 89% and that it is the government workers and the poor people of the country who suffer first.

As Mr. Obama's administration continues to inflict a 'bail out' addictive indebtedness on the nation, we can expect rioting, having taken lessons from the people of Iran, who too, are suffering from a paragon of dictatorial rhetoric.

The main problem as been that of borders; the 2000 mile border between Mexico and the United States, wherein there are a few jobs open to “white trash”, blacks and Mexicans, the 2000 mile border between Afghanistan and Pakistan wherein Islamic terrorism will not diminish, and the 900 mile border between Afghanistan and Iran wherein the western involvement in the religious Muslim hatreds becomes more prolific. Does one with any brain cells left think that your hard earned investments will be safe in gold as it is confiscated to pay for continued conflicts, domestic and foreign. Why were the trustees of our large corporations, the union bosses, the puppet politicians so drowsy or drunk that they could not see this economic chaos when assembly lines were set up in foreign countries and even Microsoft technicians were trying to read manuals in English, coming from foreign countries such as Indore, India.

In my lifetime, government largess, welfare, social security, programs of every alphabet in true socialistic 'take-over mode' has crippled individual initiative that the rioting of the social security recipients, welfare 'hangers-on' who have gotten so comfortable 'at the trough', will startle the lethargic and apathetic elected officials who thought their legacy for the life of the rich and famous was ever secure.

Most decent men want to work, desire a job; few know anything about money. They have heard that a dollar is worth 100 pennies, so many grains of gold or silver, pay little attention to paper currency except for a number in the corner. For 20 years, I employed a very 'mean woman', as bookkeeper, to assist with my businesses. We had learned how to 'check' those who handled money. (Has it ever occurred to you the reason, the owner of a business always works at the cash register?) One of my friends, good at a copy machine, put a picture of Bill Clinton on a $100 bill and made several copies of the bill. He presented this bill to one of my cashiers, whose only problem was there was not a place in the plastic drawer for $100 bills so, of course, he lifted up the tray and put the bill underneath and gave my friend his change for the $100. He went to my bookkeeper and said, “You'd better get rid of that cashier, here is your money, almost $95.” Now, if the cash register had not been able to make change, he probably would have had trouble making change, as well as not being able to recognize a fake bill. This man would work out well with Mr. Geithner and the other 'wizards' of money and economics in Washington, particularly since, to date, they have been unable to find who loaned the $500k bond which they copied to make $164 billion.

I challenge you to find a high school graduate who can tell you the difference between inflation and deflation. I challenge you to find a high school graduate who knows how much Social Security a blind, handicapped woman (now dead) drew as she worked her entire life for the only job she could find, which was almost minimum wage. I challenge you to find, how many elderly people, now living on Social Security and a reverse mortgage on their house, for which they worked hard, self-denial, reared American citizen children, and will be unable to have a respectable burial. During the recent presidential election, we heard the Democrat's chant, “WE WANT CHANGE”. You will be lucky to have some worthless change your pockets.

Saab Sobs

When I was away in the war, my family had an experience they will never forget. My hard-working father, with our large farm where he worked all week, then worked at barbershop on Saturdays cutting hair. One of my brothers who had just learned to drive, and my mother, with the youngest brother just a lap baby (both of these brothers now are 72 and 60, both retired), went into town to pick Dad up from work on a Saturday night. Heading home,my brother driving, my mother and baby in the front seat, my tired father in the rear seat of the sedan. The car crossing the railroad track stalled with the East Coast Champion train rapidly approaching. My father yelled, “Get out of the car!”, this large man jumped out of the car and pushed it off the tracks just as the East Coast Champion flew by. Onlookers were terrified.

A few people in the small town still remembered the family who were killed at that very crossing about fifty years before. Five people were killed by the train on the tracks even though the railroad watchmen was supposed to be at the crossing with his warning lantern. This was at a time before the more sophisticated crossing bars of today's railroad crossings. At the hearing, the watchman was asked if he was at the crossing warning people with his lantern. He said, “Yes, I was waving the lantern.”. On his death bed, he admitted that the lantern was not lit, there was no light in the lantern to warn the approaching family. Now I am waving a lighted lantern as I have have done many times previously.

I was in China and India, the fastest growing populations in the world, several times. I have crossed both countries by train, and have seen their rapid industrialization. Last year, China surpassed the United States in automobile production (9.3 million cars), and now is second in the world next to Japan. I was in the city of Changchun (South of Hong Kong), where thousands of vehicles are manufactured everyday. The Chinese are serious about their industrial output. The slave workers are housed in large dormitories. Returning from China three times since its reopening in 1973 and my first trip there, I was interviewed about the Chinese production. I said then, as I say now, “China will surpass the world in it's production of everything.”. We saw the Japanese vehicles flood the American market. American dealers immediately jumped on the Japanese bandwagon and started advertising and selling Japanese cars along with the American-made cars. The Buick-Mitsubishi dealers, the Dodge-Toyota dealers, the Oldsmobile-Infiniti dealers, are now gasping for breath.

I was too much a patriot to buy a foreign-made car, I did not forget the Pacific wars involving the Japanese and Koreans as easily as some of my fellow Americans. But it has been easy to see by anyone with sight, or anyone as blind as this writer, that with automobiles as with all other industry, America is losing the competition war. The boards of directors of the American automobile manufacturers (GM, Chrysler, Ford, etc.) are just political, influence-peddling appointees rather than astute businessmen and now we can see the results of their “fiddling while Rome burned”... Or, better, playing golf with the rich and famous fellow board members, and not paying any attention to the bottom line or world economic activity, letting the unions and environmental agencies completely take over as they see their corporations lapse into bankruptcy... Now, with taxpayer bailouts, Mr. Obama and his lackeys now in control of the once great corporations, with their great advertising budgets, jingles which every school child knew (“See the USA in your Chevrolet”). I just traded in my 13^th Cadillac for a Lincoln. Surely, the Ford Corporation will not embarrass the great Henry Ford by bowing to foreign takeover.

Socialistic Americans could not understand the threat of global incest wherein European car makers Mercedes, BMW, and Saab were taken over by American companies. The Swedish car maker Saab, wishes they had kept their “nuts and bolts” in Scandinavia. The same GM board of directors and management which has filtered out such well-known American stalwarts as Pontiac and Oldsmobile now includes Saab. We sob for Saab, but more importantly, we weep for Westinghouse, Western Airlines, and the many other great American Corporate names and logos that have lost out in the asinine race for corporate obscurity. How many remember the defunct Norge refrigerator? The competent Kelvinator? The pulsating Philco or Phillips? All these great companies with their dependable dealers and demanding customers were just disregarded in the global tyranny of takeovers, makeovers... Now requiring bailouts by ne'er'dowells who have the business experience to run a front yard lemonade stand or desperate yard sale.

My first trip to Europe over fifty years ago was on a TWA plane (Transworld Airlines). TWA had a magnificent history. The TWA logo was known throughout the world for value. My first flight was on a propeller-driven Eastern Airlines plane. Most of us remember wonderful flights on Braniff, Pan Am, Piedmont. Many of us remember such wonderful automobiles as Hudson, Packard, Studebaker.

With the state-controlled media, the Communist, Globalist, news editors, both in print and by air; this once great fortress of industrial might, financial power, patriotic dedication, has become just a “paper tiger”. It is very much like a child cutting out leaves pretending it is a tree. Then, turning on an electric fan to watch the leaves dance in the wind, but the leaves are not attached anymore to anything, they just blow away. We now have a country of just artificial prosperity. Most jobs are government jobs, all new jobs are government jobs, our finest young men go to war and we manage to keep 1 or 2 wars going at a time, because this is the only job they can find. The rational government, which gave me opportunity as a young person, has now become a global monster with cap and trade and other world controls and taxation. Get ready for a global currency, global regulations, and a global court system. The competent citizens of England, France, Germany, and many other nations of Europe never thought they would be under control of the European Union with their financial and other controls.

The greatest thought in science or religion is to know that we as individuals or as a nation can become what we were intended to be. In less than 300-years, this great nation blessed with climate, natural resources, and hard-working diligent people beyond compare, chosen by God for greatness has allowed greed and corruption, and the sin-nature of man has allowed internal decadent forces to do more damage than any foreign army could ever have done. As Kate Smith sang “God Bless America” , sponsored by the mostly-defunct A&P grocery chain, how could she have known that from the Atlantic to the Pacific ambiguity toward business in America would determine the American dream.
