Need For Good Answers

#1776

"From bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great  courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance  to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy,  from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage." - Alexander Tyler

Churches and governments have fallen into the anti-Christ trap. The horror pit into which the world has fallen, technocracy and the control which god has allowed Satan to hold on to worlds activities. When a telephone in your hand becomes a personality, when person hood of groups becomes supernatural reality (Alcoholics Anonymous, vegans , workmen-ship and security of robots.) The human genome must, if any intelligence left at all, fall upon the alter of humility and seek good answers on every direction of the sun dial. Obfuscation, a confused, bewildered, stupefied world population. Most just going through the motions of living. There is more to life than just surviving... eating, drinking, sleeping, exercising... the essentials to maintain homeostasis-physiology-cytology. Even the Christian, "joint heir" ("And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together" Romans 8:17,) with the creator of the universe have no idea of what it means to have the wealth-resources-comfort of a daily "breathing activity" with the one who threw the stars into space, measures the Himalayas with his fingers, so cares for us, that the very hairs on our head are numbered (Luke 12:7). What a constellation, such an answer for your depression, sleepless-ness, troubled mind.

IF, as truly chosen, drawn of God, you would study the answer book. In Numbers 29, we find how the old testament, chosen of God, gave ceremonial sacrifices to God. We do not find that they questioned anything, why the unblemished animals of their flocks: why definite measures a flower: why definite goats or rams: why such waste such animals going up in smoke (a sweet savor to God) when probably in a wilderness of destitution, some human beings were hungry. In today's world, the new testament world, we would "compromise" that this sweet savor smoke gets into Gods eyes and he might miss a count. Surely, in today's world, the priest organizing the sacrifice, burnt offerings, might see a particularly tasty looking piece of liver. Would God really miss that?

Thousands of years later, still, believing Jews, still celebrate "feasts of trumpets." Even in fancy, tall, New York buildings where orthodox Jews live... you still have limbs and tree branches built on to their decks where they sleep under the stars... remembering their ancient family who memorialized their redemption from slavery in Egypt and their humbling in the wilderness AND so many of you do not understand this writers despondency over new testament church members who do not have the time or salvation to observe our Lord's table. If your redemption-Christian experience is worth anything, it is worth everything and this is the most important question of your life. Old testament, believers, were serious about their ties and their offerings. God did not get "tips." God was not just a "bell hop." Prayer was not just a ritual.

You do not get the answers to your problems or the worlds problems from talking boxes. Most people, with whom I come in contact, are materialistic in every way. Their world evolves money and what money can do. For those who are poor, usually their spending is more than their income... besieged on every hand, on every point on that sun dial, by the Madison avenue concept of keeping you dissatisfied with your world, your living conditions, your clothing, your transportation, your lifestyle. Movies, television, keep us all wanting lives of the "rich and famous." Hell will be filled with the rich and famous. This writer still remembers those saints of old, always in Gods house to worship (not to see and be seen.) Only one Sunday dress apparel-Sunday shoes. Most citizens of 80 years ago, when I was a child, never had but one Sunday outfit. Food was so scarce, exercise so essential, that you kept the same waistline your entire life. You kept your clothes nice and you were usually buried in them. Spring time, your winter clothing, like the bedding, went on the clothes line outside, so Gods good sunlight could detoxify rich resourcefulness of detoxification. Clothing lasted because, like
everything else in your life, you were taught to take care of things. We did not live in a Kleenex-disposable society. I still remember the day when my father and I were moving lumber and a big fat poisonous snake was curled up under a plank. My father killed the snake with a shovel, even though a rifle was close by. "We do not waste bullets." I remembered this many times when as a field grade army officer, I saw so much ammunition wasted, which your tax dollars had paid for. The time for role playing has ended. The time for assuming character on stage is over... church house, school house, court house, even your house. Destination is determined by character. True character, not just role playing on stage, is essential when looking for answers. The scientists looking into the microscope-telescope, forgets the letters after his name-his own ambitions. If a true scientist, he seeks answers.

Tattoos, Piercings and Graffiti

#1764

"Truth uncompromisingly told will always have its ragged edges."
-Herman Melville

The worst way to start your day is like the rest of the world with a mind set, "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful." (Mark 4:19) Over the trenches of political correctness Satanic developments there are still normal people. Satan always betrays his partners in crime. In a post modernist world of broken cultures those of us with more or less conventional attitudes find it extremely difficult to understand why some of our fellow human beings delight in violating-challenging the beauty of Jehovah god, creator of the universe. The word spoke and nothingness became something-ness.  The word spoke and everything in the world filled with beauty which the mind of man can only comprehend, never counterfeit the 110 elements of the earth, the 12 music tones of the earth, laws of nature, colors, everything in absolute symmetry and proportion. The mind of man is unable to comprehend the holiness of God. His ability to capture beauty.

This world traveler has experienced/sensed (those sightless) the beauty of nature, as God developed it on every continent of the world.  We understand why god observed and saw that it was good (Genesis:1:24.) Nothing is uglier than finding God's handiwork defaced. Nothing is uglier than finding graffiti on a work of art, ugly symbols on a magical, balanced, work of symmetry. I remember so well the first time I was in the great opening in Petra, that great city of stone with its magnificent columns. Some jerk had actually defaced one column with graffiti.

Of course there are accidents of nature, the weirdos, circus people who display their deformities. There have always been those that have slowed down to watch a car crash. Who get a thrill from human beings battering one another in the boxing ring or the ancient gladiator arenas. I will admit that I have been to a bull fight both in Spain and South America. Ancient sports, people got a thrill from seeing lions tear apart Christians. Today sports people enjoy seeing millionaires abuse one another as they fight over a ball.  As the cruelest inhuman activity, warfare, has "progressed" from the closeness of the sword and bayonet into the inhuman activity of planes and drones dropping bombs from a huge distance, "the caretaker" of the planets must have revulsion with the decadence of his chief creation, Mankind.

There has always been a fascination with the abnormal. I remember, so well, as a child, a farmer in the community had a cow who gave birth to a three legged calf. People wanted to go by and see this abnormal calf. The farmer started to charge to look at the calf. Warts, deformities, were never "beauty spots."  A polite society learned to ignore them. People invested in beauty appreciating great works of art wanted the comfort of manicured lawns, sculptures in parks, colors on buildings, the beauty of flowers which no horticulturist has ever been able to reproduce. Just in America billions of dollars are spent each year on supplements which we believe compliment our diets, give us better health. Our greatest national expense is healthcare. We do everything possible to live better and longer.  Every parent wants his child to be perfect.  Billions of dollars are spent on designer clothing.  Special education, America is besieged by universities that would make the ancient philosophers blush.  Why then, please tell me, where the thrill came from which has caused so many young intelligent people to deface/abuse themselves with tattoos, piercings. Those of us who are old wish we had the skin and musculature of the young. Why would any parent allow a child on whom they have spent a life preparing for the future to subject that body to the criminal stupidity of introduction of pathological disease through tattoos, skin scars, or piercings in other areas of the body. There is nothing more dangerous to the human body than making disease entrance easier. We know the problems just from artificial knee or hip replacements. We know the problems of the pacemaker/stints or other artificial means of prolonging life. Why then would anyone take the risk of decorating/desecrating the body with nonsense and in the case of a girl, a "tramp stamp?"

This old blind veteran, sightless for many years is mostly home bound. But, I am told many people in church are tattooed/pierced. Who do they think they are fooling?  Satan has always been able to mark his followers...language, clothing and habits. Just as the western rancher branded his livestock with a tattoo/brand. So Satan clearly has his crowd "branded" with tattoos. Every human being, the world over, has an empty place in his heart for some thing or some one in which the person them self cannot fill.  There are religions/cults/traditions around the world seeking to fill that emptiness. The road to hell is paved with religion. It should not be strange that many "seekers" will find their way to the church pew.  But, as the Apostle Peter found, there is a difference in religion and relationship. Peter walked and talked with God as Jesus' feet caressed the land around the Sea of Galoli. Peter, the man who denied his precious lord, who actually walked on water. Who when he was crucified insisted on being crucified upside down, learned forgiveness. There are too many unrepentant-unrestricted church members who do not have an intimate relationship with God.  Christianity is not complicated, just tough. We must be tough, stand, never turn your back to Satan. With all the sincerity and humbleness of my heart, never yield to Satan's temptation of marking our body for him. He knows who "owns" us.  When Christ redeems us, we are a new creation in Him, ready to be seen and read of men (1 Corinthians 3:1-3.) I like to wear a cross on my jacket. I like for my fellow man to know whose side I am on.

"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." - 1 Corinthians 10:31

Garrote

(Choking)

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11 (KJV)

This writer could not tell you how many times he used the above verse when asked to pray in public places, even at the church house. In God's answer book, His manufacturer's handbook, everything tells us that good is upward, evil is downward among the many things with which we are daily choked, the bottomless ocean of information, addictions and heathen actions of our fellow man, cruelty of terrorism, in this post Christian world, what is there about me, and I am only responsible for me, that would attract people to Christianity, a saving knowledge of our Blessed Lord.

When we leave the church house on Sunday, do we actually take our faith into the workplace on Monday? Your government and society does not want you to do so. Prosperity is more than just making money. Barriers must be broken down in learning the best version of yourself and honoring Creator God. You are not stuck where you start. Everyday we learn of some individual, even in this post Christian world, who has honored the world with their lives. Read about Dr. Condoleeza Rice and her climb from the ghettos of Alabama. Learn about Governor Bobby Jindal and his rise from poverty into political relevance.

"But just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." (1 Corinthians 2:9)

In the post Christian world of regulations and controls, where Satan has been very effective in brainwashing the minds of even our children (television, state controlled education), the adventure of the Christian life is not very popular. Who needs God when you have the government? To the Germans, one of the most advanced civilizations on Earth, Mr. Adolf Hitler said, “The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.” In other words, 'I already have your children'.

In the struggles of living, at least in America, where 50% of the population still works for a living, the average family is choked with survival. You pay high taxes but still must home school your own children. You pay your taxes but still must compete with government subsidized competition. You pay your taxes but are still choked by licenses-permits-threats. You pay your taxes but law enforcement seems to favor the criminal. We all remember the song "Choices":

I've had choices since the day that I was born
There were voices that told me right from wrong
If I had listened, no I wouldn't be here today
Living and dying with the choices I've made

Responsible living has become a necessary task which offends the world. Even the Christian wants a "bell-hop" God, just available when you need him. Giving to God and our fellow man is just an add-on not a necessity. We think God and our fellow man appreciates our tips, government makes sure that the ne'er-do-wells live well, takes care of all their needs (health, housing, college grants etc.) so they can spend their money on their wants. A person with character chokes on the excuses of counterfeits, Satan has always paid off with counterfeits. Today's world is choking-struggling with counterfeit education, food products, even spirituality.

One of my cousin's widow, he had died unexpectedly, and shortly after that their son was killed in an automobile crash, told me of the way her pastor would visit her always bringing their conversations around to sex. She became so disappointed-disgusted that she stopped going to church. When she died, she asked that this pastor not have anything to do with her death. Jesus does not need cowards to carry his cross.
That old wheel is gonna roll around once more
When it does it will even up the score
Don’t be weak: as they sew, they will reap
Turn the other cheek and don’t give in
That old wheel will roll around again

The Christian faith is 90% raw courage, we are not afraid to live and certainly not afraid to die. It is so important that we not become choked, even strangled, by the cares of this world.

19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. Mark 4:19 (KJV)

It is not a choice, it is an obligation, to love as Jesus loved, because He told us to love one another (John 13:34). In our busy lives we forget to love one another, even our own friends and family. Recently, one of my friends told me about the death of his father. His father was dying in a hospice facility. He said, "I sat with him day after day. At the end, the nurse said to me, 'He's leaving us.' His limbs were getting cold. I reached over and kissed him on the forehead and walked out of the room. Now why did I not kiss him while he still had presence of mind? Why did I not tell him I loved him before he died?" You see, he had choked back the most important message-meaning of life, God, for God is love.

Magnificence

O yes, He cares, I know He cares,

His heart is touched with my grief;
  When the days are weary,
  The long night dreary,
  I know my Savior cares.

The place called Calvary!

(John Stott, "The Message of Galatians")

"When they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him!" Luke 23:33

Every time we look at the Cross, Jesus seems to say to us,
"I am here because of you! It is . . .
your sin that I am bearing,
your curse that I am suffering,
your dept that I am paying,
your death that I am dying!"

Nothing in the universe cuts us down to size, like the Cross! All of us have inflated views of ourselves--until we have visited the place called Calvary. It is there, at the foot of the Cross, that we shrink to our true size.
"When we were utterly helpless, Christ died for the ungodly!" Romans 5:6

Addition Dr. Morris:

It has always been interesting to hear the uninformed talk about religious subjects. One woman said, "Golgotha was the giant who slew the apostle David." There was nothing pretty about Calvary, Golgotha, where crucifixions occurred. There were flies, still parts of crosses, sniffing dogs roaming around, and it was there our Blessed Lord was put to death.

Every day of this writers life, I thank God for what Jesus did for me at Calvary... salvation of my soul and the healing of my body. "By his stripes we are healed," (Isaiah 53:5) and Peter looking back, "By his stripes we WERE healed," (1 Peter 2:24). The cross is at the epicenter of all creation and civilization. Those on the other side of the cross look forward to the cross, we, on this side of the cross, look backwards to the cross. Just two pieces of timber. The vertical piece of wood points towards heaven, the horizontal piece of wood points east and west around the world. There are many symbols in the world, not one of them compares to the cross.

We sing, talk, even wear crosses. but is the cross the centerpiece of our life, the constant remembrance in our church. I can remember going to so many church houses and never seeing a cross (this was back when I had sight). There are many things with which I cannot agree in Catholicism. One thing which I can agree on is their emphasis on the cross, in their cathedrals, hospitals and schools. There are many things with which I cannot agree, in recent years, attempting to please young people, the beat and clatter of modernistic music in the church house... I like the old hymns which remind us of the cross... "Jesus Keep Me Near The Cross", "Beneath The Cross of Jesus" etc.

The soil is level at the foot of the cross, just as available to the poor as for the rich, the ugly as well as the beautiful. Too many stumble at the foot of the cross. Not depending on it's complete fulfillment, wanting to cling to a denominational belief, some book or some interpretation of man. The cross is complete, free, glorious. We are expected to deny self and take up his cross (Matthew 16:24). Jesus chooses the cross for us to bear... even disability, even poverty, even blindness.

Must Jesus bear the cross alone,

And all the world go free?
No, there's a cross for everyone,
And there's a cross for me.

Entanglements

Satan, the master magician, has done and will do anything and everything possible to bring the world, the flesh, the devil into the lives of every Christian. Nothing makes Satan happier than to have Christians compromise with the Word of God, to have a Christian church accept any pea-brained scheme.

Mark Twain said that India is the ultimate travel destination. I have spent much time in India, am well-exposed to the frauds and fantasies of Hinduism. Perhaps the greatest hopes of Hinduism lies in its offshoot, Yoga...and its doctrine of universal life-force energy. About 5000 years ago, so-called Hindu “holy men”, not satisfied with monkey and sexual perversion temples such as that at Khajuraho (which I have visited). Yoga, which started as a stretching exercise, and possibly could have been accepted as such, now has 15 million Americans involved in the chanting and other “scientific-spiritual” aspects of this fake religion. This stretching and meditating, derived from eastern religions, is not Christian, but many liberal, modernistic church groups have brought this hoax/ritual into their own churches.

Any practice that will cause your brother to stumble is wrong. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12) I have heard that one of these liberal Baptist churches in my town has incorporated Yoga into their activities program. The same church would compromise by having a bingo night, a Halloween haunted house, or even, God help us, the men's Bible class goes on an annual trip to Las Vegas for gambling. Again, is that what God was talking about in this marvelous chapter to the church at Corinth. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Even though apostasy has taken over Western civilization, the foundation of Christianity and freedom, we are accustomed to seeing houses of worship in all countries affected by Western culture. It is an awakening experience to visit countries without such...Godless, communist countries such as Russia and China. All traces of Christianity and liberty have been erased from China, the churches, mosques, cathedrals, monuments, gravestones, have all been beaten into gravel, used to build highways.

The only semi-spiritual activity you find in China, in the mornings, everyone practicing Tai Chi. When I took my early morning walk, my guide would tell me about whole communities together, in their Tai Chi exercises. Tai Chi is a martial art practiced for both mind and body. Confucius introduced this fusion of “yin and yang”, now not only practiced in China, but around the world.

The 44 countries comprising the Muslim world, mostly in North Africa and the Middle East, it is safe to say profess or possess rituals of any type in their Islamic worship. When you go to a mosque, and I have been to many, the entire process is male dominated, women are strictly on the sidelines, and you seldom see children in any activity. I cannot distinguish anything showing love or humility, from your studies in the Koran, a religion of domination, strict rules, intolerance of everyone else. Muslims do not mind killing one another... 90,000 killed as fodder in the Iran/Iraq war of 1989, the massacres taking place in Egypt, Libya, Somalia and other places show the empathy of Shira law.

From the beginning, mankind was entangled with sin; rebellious, not willing to follow even one law given by God, not to eat the fruit of one tree. The human heart is wicked, deceitful (Genesis 6:5). Of the billions of our first ancestors, all were so wicked that God destroyed all except 8 around 5000 BC. Of the descendents of Noah's family, God selected one: Abram, from the Ur of the Chaldees, and sent him on a 600 mile trip north without a forwarding address. He did not know where he was going, the first Jew. But from a long process found in the Old Testament, we have a history of Judaism, and other people only as they affect the Jews. Much history, many leaders, God dealing with the stiff-necked people, Sennacherib, Assyria, the descendents of Joesph, locating in the Caucus mountains of present day Russia, from which the race called “Caucasian” comes. They migrated westward...Europe, then to America, there is more scripture about America in the Bible than any other nation...powerful, despised (America gets little support at the United Nations). It has all come back to the conflict between Isaac and Ismael, Ismael's descendents now supported by Godless Russia and China, Isaac's descendents, Israel, America, no nations more despised than Israel and America.

On this side of the cross, redemption through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God's only Son (John 3:16). Western civilization, particularly America, on the pathway of Christianity, entangled in every communist, Godless philosophy to come our way. The prophet-preacher Ezekiel (586 BC), wrote about these problems (Ezekiel 38).

Under the sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient hand of God, the west prospered, become powerful. America has become the world's greatest power, source for most of the world's development, spiritual foundation for world Christianity...90% of all missionaries, great houses of worship, great Christian literature, art and music. Through the freedom and liberty given to us through Christ (John 8:32) we have become entangled with slavery to the world, the flesh, the devil rather than the abundant life in Christ. (John 10:10, John 14:6) Shed the entanglements, the snares of the Godless world, for the redemption found in Jesus Christ and Him alone, salvation by faith, through grace, plus nothing.

Unshackled

When you reach my age, you realize the importance of time. I stopped all the chiming clocks in my house because I hate to be reminded of just how fast time passes, how little life I have left to do the many things I want to accomplish, such as writing this commentary. The great writer CS Lewis said, e all age at the same rate of 60 minutes an hour“w.” When I was a child, this time of the year, time went so slow it seemed that Christmas would never come, now it seems like you have just finished with one Christmas when another is just around the corner. I constantly remind young people that time is so important; so much to learn, so much to do, unless, like so many of our fellow citizens, you just “throw your life away.” We do what we do because we believe what we believe, some believe in doing nothing.

Have you ever thought how much time you spend just waiting in traffic, sleeping, waiting patiently in a doctor's office. The average adult spends 5.4 hours a day watching television.

The world would be changed over night if those who call themselves “Christian”, who are deceived into thinking that God lives in their heart, would spend one hour a day studying God's Word. Someone asked me one time, “how you can recognize a Christian?” I said, “only one unfailing way: love for God's Word.” Don't tell me you are Christian unless you have studied God's Word, have committed most of it to memory. Don't tell me you are Christian if you support the Democrat party which promotes the killing of babies, euthanasia of adults, same-sex marriage, putting young people into astronomical debt.

Do not become shackled by false, deceptive fraud politics. Do not become shackled by satanic forces out to enslave you by addictions, evil acts such as pride, greed, gluttony, envy, lust. This week we have been besieged by revelations involving the corruption of government through WikiLeaks. Like the Pentagon Papers, Watergate, the lying and conniving of middle East warfare. Most informed Americans already know about the decadence of their government. Don't become depressed, compromised, shackled by the knowledge of government corruption, pray for your country.

When you have politicians, you have what politicians can do. When you have bureaucrats, you have what bureaucrats can do. When you have powerbrokers, chokers, strokers, you have what these people can do. But, when you have prayer, you have what God can do. We have reached the time in this country, in this world, when only God can straighten things out. Do not be shackled by your despair with people. Think of the “people-watching” despair God has witnessed from the creation, He destroyed all of them with the exception of one family, 4090 BC. Seven groups in Canaan, He mostly destroyed, after His chosen race had crossed the Jordan. On either side of the cross, He talked through people, natural disasters, a remnant have listened.

The small amount of faith that still exists, is real faith, unshackle yourselves from the pretenders. Real faith is a verb, action based on belief, sustained by confidence. The greatest disappointment of my life has been associating with pretenders in religion, pretenders in patriotism, pretenders in family, trust; unshackle yourself from pretenders, you will be lonely, but you will not be alone. You are not stuck where you start, life is a journey not a destination, on the journey, through rebirth you learn what is important and what is a waste of time. Many life activities, particularly with the unsaved in your surrounding, in your family, even with those with whom you work or worship, you will find is just a waste of your time, your energy, your concern, they do not know who you are, unshackle yourself from them, working to get their approval.

To KNOW God you must know God. You as a born-again Christian, are shackled to Christ. You owe it to him, bearing His burden, trusting Him. The best character, like the best suit, is homemade. You understand the indifference at the school house, the courthouse, the statehouse, the church house, shackled by satanic meanderings that take up your time, energy, spirituality.

This morning, someone brought to my attention, Thomas Kinkade, the artist known for window lighting in his canvas, such as his canvas of the Biltmore House in Asheville. I met him many years ago, a man of great talent, but like so many, shackled by addictions, uncontrolled impulses.

Greed is the greatest enslaver. Here in this town where I live, just a few miles from my house, a woman left her dead mother in her mother's house for many months, spraying her occasionally with disinfectant, so she could collect her mother's social security checks. I cannot possibly tell anyone how much money has been stolen from me, a blind man, in my effort to give people a job.

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. (Proverbs 22:1) Nothing is worth being shackled as a thief; the pleasures of this world, the wealth of this world, are not worth the shackles of hell. Jesus Christ was either who He said He was, or the greatest hoax the world has ever known. Time has proven that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, the only hope of the world, do not be shackled by those at the school house, the university, the media-place, or anywhere else who would lead you otherwise, and shackle you, not only to an eternity of darkness, but hopelessness and haplessness while living on this earth.

The protractor over the compass is the emblem of the Freemasons, masons claim they started in the building of the Solomon's temples, they have an Egyptian influence, a cult founding. Historically, men thought the masonic emblem and membership gave them credence, generals of the army, Presidents, even some Christians (one-half of Washington's generals were masons). One does not need to be shackled by secret handshakes, membership rituals, the need for recognizing one another, special consideration at the courthouse or business place. Paul, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God.(Roman 1:1) In this, Paul's first words to the church, we find our mission and message.

Antipas

A local doctor told me of a friend, he had come to him with critical complaints, was sent to a specialist who found he was dying of terminal cancer, the oncologist told him he had about six months to live.

Anyway, my physician friend could not locate his dying patient, a man of some prominence and wealth in the community, he finally found some hints of where he might be located. The patient's parents had owned a small farm at the edge of Green Swamp in Brunswick county, the farm, very neglected, the small house almost falling down, was the retreat for the dying patient. When the doctor friend found him there, after a long drive through a wilderness of back roads, he said to his patient, “what in the world are you doing out here? You should be at your nice home in town where you have conveniences and the care which you need.” The patient said, “here on this desolate, isolated farm I have an outhouse, a hand pump, a wood stove for cooking and warmth, I do my laundry in a wash pot, and have just the bare necessities of life. Death will be a relief after living like this.”

Antipas, is only mentioned one time in the Bible, he is mentioned in Revelation 2:13, tradition tell us that Antipas was chosen by the apostle John as leader of the first century church at Pergamum. It was a secular, sinful city, and he had to stand almost alone against the satanic forces there. Because of his stand, his life was taken by the evil unbelievers of Pergamum, by roasting him in brass bull. Although Antipas is only mentioned one time in God's word, he lives forever in history as one of the first martyrs of the church.

This week in England, the Druids were recognized, for the first time, as a religion, on the same level as Christianity. The same country which sent David Livingstone, George Greenfield to Africa, Hudson Taylor to China, William Carey to India, now has more mosques than churches, builds more caskets than cradles. As in America, in western Europe, the tares receive greater care than the wheat. Only in countries where government clamps down, as in communist China, communist North Korea, and even communist Cuba, does the church grow. As long as the church is apathetic to God and government, does the government allow the churches to thrive. It is the home churches, the small, excited, devoted groups that governments detest.

The Christian witness is most vital when standing where it is hardest to stand, before family, friends, neighbors, civic groups, political groups. It is becoming increasingly difficult to stand tall in your church, I find most churches are just whispering, whimpering, winless, profligates of habit.

The soldier of the cross has a real hunger for God's Word...teaching and preaching, he regards each day as a gift, each minute and interaction between him, the creature, and his Creator. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24) There are 86,400 seconds in each day, everyone has many things to do if you are as busy as you should be. We are all given the same number of seconds, we need to find time in each day to celebrate our relationship with Christ. There is no argument about His sovereignty, His word. For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89) God knew what He was doing when He chose weak, frail, failed human beings to carry His cross, but He does not need cowards. Humility is the greatest sign of character. I never scored a touchdown, never hit a home run, never made a hole-in-one, never honored with a congressional medal, never took a bullet for anyone, but the things I have done, I try to do well. I stand amazed and ashamed that I could not have done better. I know I was chosen, and I know that the One who died for me, deserves better than I have given Him.

Your stand will often be costly, cost family, friends, popularity, business. Because, if you are truly saved, a born again child of God, you are different: transformed, not conformed (Romans 12:1-2), and most people do not want to be different. We are all captives of the world, the flesh, the devil. Most just want to be different in the church house, perhaps even in the court house, or our relative's house. He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8) Walking humbly with God, all the time, to date, is not as difficult as threatened by martyrdom. The first century church, the church of Pergamum, Antipas, was difficult because of the Pharisees and Romans, church and state, were equally cruel. Because of men like Jefferson, who went all the way to Connecticut to speak at the Danbury Baptist church on the separation of church and state, we have the freedom to speak in church, freedom to even criticize the church and state. The Christian's allegiance is to the Christ who saved him, God of glory Who gave us this country, and our willingness and ability to God and country.

In speaking, I have used many times the apostle Thomas, and the tradition that his knees were gnarled from spending so much time in prayer. Having traveled to India many times, I think of his knees walking that great distance, from the Holy Land to India, across the treacherous Himalayas, and then martyred while proclaiming Christ at Chennai in India. He must have had some converts, in this country, then as now, Hindu/pagan Gods because someone lives to report his stand for Christ.

Stalactites

Almost as remarkable as icicles frozen from water dripping down, is the formation of stalactites in many of the world's caves.  There are caves in this country that have such formations (Mammoth KY), but the one I saw in Elephanta, India, were truly remarkable.  The caves can only be reached by boat on the island of Elephanta.  The huge caves have been transformed into Hindu temples and the entrances have been sculptured to represent a temple.  Like the constant drip of water to make an icicle which will sometimes extends down many feet before being broken, the stalactites are formed from the top of the cave with a constant drip of moisture, and very much like coral in the ocean, it develops into a thing of natural beauty, which no artist could duplicate.

I have beautiful pieces of coral and shelves from the island of Mauritius and the Seychelles (Indian Ocean).  When we consider that it probably takes hundreds or thousands of years for the formation of the coral.  Each shell, coral, or stalactite starts with the granulation of one small animal which over hundreds of thousands of years increasing modulation of moisture and temperature leads to a spectacular result.  The Great Barrier Reef in Australia, 1250 miles long, including many islands of the coast of Queensland bordering the Coral Sea, started with small animals called coral, much like a jellyfish,,that died and over a very long period of time led to this natural barrier, large enough to be seen from outer space.

Can one even imagine or attempt to compute the microscopic organisms involved in the formation of this great reef. The formation of coral and many other estuaries or the formations of stalactites, formed in much of the same way in caves, not only in India and Indonesia, but around the world. All these sculptures of nature become tourist attractions and phenomena of artists, as well as atheists.

From the beginning of the 20th century, and certainly in my lifetime, we have seen this  country become a stalactite, slowly but surely, layer upon layer often almost microscopic and unnoticeable, certainly unreported, we have seen stalactite formation of the socialist agenda with a certain communist result. The truth is the truth whether anyone believes it or not.  But to the skeptic, study your history and look around you at what has happened to your country.  If you do not see this slow layering of socialistic ideas, you are more blind then this writer. (I am a totally blind 100% disabled service-connected veteran).  THINK ON THIS.

Secular security has replaced sacred sanity.

Political correctness has replaced patriotic principles.

Addiction has replaced accomplishment.

Corrupt voyeurs has replaced patriotic competence.

Purulent art has replaced antiquarian masters.

Compulsive disorders have replaced Christian doctrine.

Drums and drama have replaced quiet worship.

Subsidized wants have replaced necessary needs.

Government checks have replaced God’s omnipotence.

At a time when government controls manipulate every area of your life, you must have a permit or license to do anything, when failures are honored with “bailouts” and “payouts”. When an ROTC student gets a larger government check each month than a 100% disabled veteran. When hospitals, schools, jails, are overrun by illegals who have entered the country, a country supported by hard working tax paying citizens, whose previous family generations had paid the taxes and built the inner structure which the illegals now compromise. When the dirty book stores, once located in back alleys, now have their wares for view in every living room. When the trash on television attracts more watchers than political nominees seeking votes. When, instead of the church changing the world, the world has absolutely changed the church. When TV preachers are more entertaining, with their laughter and clapping, than night club comedians...we can know that God-less collectivism, control, and communism has taken over.

We have seen political tyrants seize countries and exploit citizens by taking their property and their sexuality as in Africa, Latin America, etc. But, for a country, built on the principles of freedom, rights, even though it has been hard coming to many people, no one could have foreseen that we would vote for enslavement. Slavery is much easier to the slave master if no resistance is offered. The slave master is very happy for the slave to show obedience, hard work and willingly turn over the results of his labors to the owner. In the Roman Empire, slaveholders furnished a circus or some other entertainment to keep the enslaved happy. Willing accomplices in the entertainment industry keep the slaves occupied, when not at work, in front of their most valuable idol, the TV set. Dependence on the blessings of God is not important when you can depend on government subsidized housing, health care, education, food stamps, and meager living expenses.

In world travel, (8 around the world trips, passport stamped in 157 countries) I was in each communist country (crossed Russia on the Tran-Siberian railroads, one of the first Americans into China after the Nixon reopening), I can say with all sincerity and honesty, even though it was a matter of using my other senses rather then my eyes, this country now has a perfect communist system, without a revolution. In China, Russia, Korea, Cuba, etc, the people fought for their liberty.

We hear politicians talk much about freedom and liberty just as they always say at the end of a speech “God bless you”. What God are they talking about? Most know nothing of almighty God, if they, did their lives would be different. Like the Christian church, we just talk and plan, if the Christian would live the Christian life before his fellow man, the entire world would, by now, been converted to Christ, and the stalactites of communist takeover would not be so completely obvious.

Empowerment

A subject of research is the migration of the Monarch Butterfly that navigates winter in northern areas including Canada and flies south to Michoacán, Mexico. A great mystery, like the Northwest Salmon that migrate, or the Arctic Tern which migrates 3,000 miles each season from the Arctic to the Antarctic, I was amazed on visiting the cliffs around the Arctic Ocean to see the areas almost totally covered by these birds where they are hatched. It further amazes me that this small bird about the size of your fist has the innate ability, or empowerment, to leave the Arctic and fly 3,000 miles to their summer “camp ground.” The butterfly, the salmon, the tern, all empowered by an all-sufficient Creator to find their route of travel and their maintenance by the will of God. Over and over, we are told to watch the ants, the way this smallest of visible creatures can maintain and, if this isn’t sufficient, get a microscope and watch life without backbones as they live and multiply.

When the British archeologist Carter first opened the Tut Tomb in the Valley of The Kings in Egypt (this is one of the few tombs which had not been robbed earlier), among the magnificence of gold and treasure, was the unwanted capture of microbiology, still thriving after thousands of years, diseases unknown to science at that time and even today, which sickened and killed much of the healthy. Carter survived, but was never well after this.

The greatest challenge in today’s world of technology is laziness. Never in history have we had the ability to empower civilization with the knowledge and morality that we have today. Yet, young people whose ancestors developed power instruments and appliances, discoveries for better health, expeditions into outer space, drop out of high school without knowing how to do anything and even most with diplomas, cannot read or write. 40% of live births in this day of reproductive education, are to single mothers. 50% of the population in this day of nutritional knowledge, are diabetic. 68% of the population in this day of multiple exercise facilities and carefully controlled foods, are overweight. Nearly 75% of the population are addicted to some substance that is dangerous. Only 8% of the world’s population are living with any semblance of prosperity. (If you have a car and some money in the bank, you are better off than 92% of the world’s population.)

From 1799 to 1892, this nation was dedicated by the U.S. Supreme Court to be Christian. At the rate of nearly 10% each year, we are becoming less a Christian nation. Occasionally, you will have someone in industry or athletics as the exception. The owner of Chic-Filet has always closed his business on the Lord’s Day. Mormon athletes will not participate in athletic events on the Lord’s Day. Sandy Koufax, famous Jewish baseball pitcher, would not play ball on Saturday, the Jewish Lord's Day.

In a country blessed of God with the entanglements of materialism, 30,000 citizens, mostly young people, commit suicide every year, one every 3 minutes. Young girls, having given their most private and precious possession to someone seeking sexual gratification, do not feel empowered to give live birth to the life within them, the greatest of God‘s creation, and so, enabled by godless Planned Parenthood, godless social workers and councilors, 63 million babies are slaughtered in the holocaust abortion mills, particularly among the Black population. The black population numbers 13% of the total American population yet accounts for nearly 52% of all abortions (1,400 black babies each day). Those in this country who love life, who love the precious promises of God, are anxious to assist in finding homes and adoptions for these children who might just be the next Pope, President, pastor or the presenter of some great scientific discovery or source of entertainment.
The founder of the Methodist Church in this country, John Wesley, was crossing the ocean on a ship at a time of storm. He was scared beyond words, yet he noticed a group of Mennonites who acted unafraid, busy singing hymns. After the storm, he asked them why they showed no fear during the storm. One said, “The same God who takes care of us in the calm, takes care of us in the storm. It is all His business.”

There are one million handicapped citizens in America. As just one of these disabled people (I am a totally blind 100% disabled service connected veteran), it took awhile but I have learned to walk by faith not by sight. I had rather walk with God through the darkness of blindness with its isolation and cruelness than walk in bright daylight with 20/20 vision, alone. When I go to the Veterans’ Hospital and see the phalanx of wheelchair-bound veterans, the scars of wounds (there are not that many blind, usually, when there, I am the only one), I rejoice in the knowledge that we were fortunate enough to live in a country worth fighting for, dying for and living for in a haze of disability. I still believe the greatest heroes of this nation are the mothers and fathers who were brave enough to have and raise children and empower them with the training and education necessary to make this the most blessed nation in history.

When I go in my yard and hear birds singing, when in a distance I can hear the laughter of children, I have the assurance that God has empowered animals, human, domestic and wild to survive. With all the technology of artificial color, synthetic mediums, corruptible personalities and behaviors, substitutes for the reality of God have not been discovered. The singing of birds, the laughter of children are still the best symphonies known to the auditory nerve system.

When the new Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, accepted the Margaret Sanger Award (founder of Eugenics and Planned Parenthood), her husband (the first Black President according to Toni Morrison), forgot that Margaret Sanger called Black people “weeds” and racist Sanger like Charles Darwin, felt they should be exterminated. To the uninitiated, everything is obscure. Mr. Obama‘s Saul Alinsky in his book “Rules For Radicals” “the scripture” on which Mr. Obama is evidently basing his Presidency, isolates targets and just works towards them. The voters who have put him and his ilk in power and have empowered him to turn this country into a “changed” Socialist “pawn shop” will be empowered by their conscience and the wrath of Almighty God to repent for this empowerment and the forsaking of every principle of integrity that made this country great. For those of us who wore the uniform, who bear the marks of battle, those of you who empowered the present administration, have sufficiently insulted us as individuals and as a group.

Deconstruction

The great writer Lewis Carroll wrote two famous books Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. In Through the Looking Glass, Alice comes to a fork in the road, she does not know which way to go, which road to take. Sitting on a tree at the fork is a large Cheshire cat, she asks the cat, "which road shall I take?" The cat said, "where are you going?" Alice said, "I don't know." "Then", the Cheshire cat said, "it does not matter which road you take."

It must provoke God to anger that human beings have been given the correct road to take in life, yet they choose to travel the incorrect road, “the road most traveled.” Adam and Eve chose to trust the slimy serpent rather than God. Before the Flood, after the Flood, and until the cross, men always chose the low road in life, rather than the high road. They pay for their sins over and over, yet learned nothing. On the other side of the cross, they chose a thief, turned him back on the streets and hung the only perfect man who has ever lived on the cross. Given a choice, mankind usually picks sin because sin is so attractive: wrong over right, evil over good.

God Himself, creator of the universe (John 1), took all our sins and diseases to the cross, as prophesied 700 years before God put on a “tent” of human flesh. Through the atonement, redemption, we have the salvation of God living in us. Many understand, but are not willing to pay the price.

The Bible protects girls more than boys, women were little more than slaves until Christ came into the world. I have never known a female atheist or a poor atheist. Any time, I had rather talk with an unashamed atheist than a mixed up church member. Those who do not want God in their lives, their church, their country should go to Europe, Russia, or China where God has been taken from the scene. Europe, once Christian, has become a secular, non-believing playground for agnostics, and the Muslims, who still have a strict belief system, have taken oven. There are more mosques in Europe than churches. The difference in Western and Eastern religious philosophy is: Western Christian – love through sacrifice, Eastern Cults – sacrifice without love.

We learned to prop up our economy by engaging in winless, useless wars. We came out of the Great Depression with WW2...Korean (53,000 killed), Vietnam (58,000 killed) were promoted to keep the economy going. Now, Iraq, Afghanistan (5,000 killed) and other brush-fire wars such as Serbia and the first Kuwait/Iraq conflict have kept the economy going until we find debt is choking us to death in spite of war. So, there must be a third world war, starting with the bombing of Iran, a cauldron in the middle east, bringing in the worst of the Somalia, Pakistan, and other interdictions.

With the new world order, we will have a one world financial system, a one world energy system, the beginning of a one-world retail and grocery system. You don't have to look far, just the disappearance of the family farm (for every farmer less than age 35, there are 8 over age 65), roadside stands, corporate farming, two crop seasons such as in Brazil (two crops each year, a harvesting combine on one side of a large field, the ground being turned and replanted on the other side.).
We hear that Americans are too good to a do a dirty job, that lowly foreigners, illegals, must come in to do the hard work. Still, at my old age, my hands are not too good to clean commodes at rental property. You see, I know what it is like to work all day in hot, green, sticky tobacco to make one dollar. I saw my mother, my family do the same type of hard work.

You see much sand in the Sahara desert which can be a real peril, today's youth want to see sand in a sand trap on a golf course. It is always a matter of outlook. What a man loves is a test of his happiness. One who loves vice cannot stand to think of religion. If you love your body, you will not become addicted to poisons: liquor, recreational drugs, cigarettes. The difference in dieting and fasting, in dieting you are doing something for your body, in fasting you are doing something for your soul. There is nothing more miraculous then the design, morphology, and physiology of the human body, why deconstruct it?

So many of us gave so much for your liberty, many interpret liberty as enslavement and freedom to sin...enslavement of addiction, greed, gluttony, lust, anger, all these sins beginning with the gateway sin of pride. You can only be reconstructed with humility. Incrementally, you drift into deconstruction, there are more discouragers than encouragers in the world, everyone needs words of encouragement. The only time our Blessed Lord sang was before His death on the cross, just after the Lord's supper, before they left the upper room.

The greatest weapon Satan has in his arsenal to defeat is the weapon of discouragement, despair. Both Nikolai Lenin, Premier of Russia, and the apostle Paul (Saul of Tarsus), persecutor of Christians, were killers. Lenin, if he had the reconstruction of God's more than abundant grace, could have been a powerful giant of faith, just as the apostle Paul, who had such a marvelous conversion on the Damascus road. Pray for transforming, not conforming (Romans 12:1-2). Christianity is not just defensive, but offensive...we are truly “onward Christian soldiers”.

Settle

“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” (Psalm 119:89)

There are some things that are settled forever, the longest chapter in the Bible, Psalm 119, settles God's message to us, there is nothing to be added, you add at your own risk (Revelations 22:18). One young man working for me, a Mormon, knew little about the Bible, he said, “I know about the book of Mormon.” Another young man working for me said, “I study only the Jehovah's witness material.” You may study the cults, Mary Baker Eddy, Ms. White, any other books, any other references, listen to any expositor, but you are to wise to stay with the inspired, inerrant Word of God. I have learned much from uninformed, misinformed preachers of the Gospel...Dr. Jean Scott, Mr. Harold Campen, Tex Mars, Peter Peters, etc. I never went into another doctor's office that I did not learn something, someone was doing something good or bad. You learn more from your mistakes, than you do of your successes.

There is nothing wrong with history, history of the world, history of civilizations, there is nothing wrong with travel, studying the great cities and museums of the world. But, as I have said to many graduating classes, I have traveled the world, it is not necessary for you to do so, I can tell you without fear of contradiction that the greatest country in the world is America. I heard young people all over the world tell me how much they wanted to come to America. At a university in China, the students begged me for books...most young people want to learn, want opportunity, I have little time or patience for young Americans who throw their lives away.

It is settled, America was the greatest experiment in human civilization, tragic, many yield for change. It is settled, the Bible, all world history converges to one point on the map, the land which God called to Abraham, the first Jew, in 4,000 BC. The small strip of land now called Israel, the small strip of land where God himself lived for thirty three years. Jesus, his mother, his earthy father, John the Baptist, none of his disciples would have stood out in a crowd, they were ordinary people.

I have visited Israel many times, they are mostly ordinary people. I was in the Hilton hotel in Jerusalem, the American comedian Totie Fields was also staying there, by then she was already confined to a wheelchair. I had been telling her about my experience trying to get to Hebron, to see the burial site of Abraham and Sarah, she said, “Dr. Morris, what is wrong with these people.” I said, “one word: religion...two sons, Isaac and Ishmael.” I said, “it is so simple, there must be a two state solution, Israel and Palestine. If Israel allows Arabs to dominate, then Arabs will take over because of their birthrates, just as they have taken over Europe.” There is an Arab in the Knesset, an Arab on the Israeli Supreme Court, there are now 1,500,000 Palestinians in Gaza. Seeking peace, Israel gave Gaza to Hamas, 25 synagogues were immediately destroyed. Today, the stores of Gaza are full of food, yet, Hamas continue to shell Israel, just as Hezbollah from Lebanon continues his warfare. It is believed that 20,000 Hezbollah fighters are ready to invade Israel after being shelled with 800 rockets everyday. Israel has been preparing to defend itself since it's beginning in 1948.

On the Larry King television program Prime Minister Netanyahu said he looks forward to studying the Bible on Sunday with his son. The nation of Israel is 80% secular, most do not believe in God, what a tragedy since they are the apple of God's eye (Genesis 12), the richest history in human history. What a tragedy that American Jews are Democrats, voting 78% for Obama, promoter of the abortion holocaust.

If you were to take a large sheet of white paper and wrap it around a basketball, and you poke a hole on that large piece of paper with a pin, that is the comparison of the Jewish populations of Israel compared to the Arabs that surround them, Arabs (Muslims) who want their absolute destruction.

I was in Israel twice before the 1967 war, there is only one nation which Arabs hate more than Israel, and that is America. When will this knowledge sink in, when will American politicians realize that the scene is already set for World War 3? On this blog, I have written much about Israel because the history of Israel so controls the history of the world.

Any time anyone tells you to prove God, just say, “one word will prove everything: 'Jew'”. And yet, in the pulpits in America and around the world, ignorant professors and “possessors” of Christianity still preach “grace”, “church”, and “body” from the Gospels. Christ and his disciplines kept the Jewish law, it is from Romans to Philemon, that we, as gentiles, find grace through faith...”Christ in us, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:28).

Mark Twain said that India was the ultimate travel destination. Each time I was in India and many other unusual places, I was astounded by religious practices such as the sex acts on the ancient temples at Khajuraho and Amritsar, in Calcutta where mothers were throwing their babies off the top of temples, trying to appease a Hindu god. Much like the ancient philistines who threw their babies into mystical fires, or the early Romans who put their babies by the roadsides where horses hooves could crush them. The holocaust of baby-killing is nothing new, sexual perversion, sorcery, such as you would find in the most jaundiced, wealthy areas of American life.

God's Word is settled in handling these things, his vengeance towards those who practice and promote these things, and even those who support such horror. Think of the horror of old people in Africa, when family can no longer take care of them, being taken into the bush, to be disposed of by wild animals. Or the Inuit (Eskimos), putting their aged on ice floes (icebergs) and sending them out to sea. Thank God you are in Christian America, even though it is popular now to hate God, to be an atheist. I have never known a poor atheist or a female atheist.

Abrogation

We spend our lives intimidated by knowledge, mostly by people who we think know more than we do, teachers, school-board members, people who are supposed to know more than we do...mostly because of the letters after their name...mostly because they are university-connected, corporate-connected, or media connected. You must fit into one of these three categories for anyone to believe anything you say.

There is an advertisement which states “a mind is a terrible thing to waste”, think of the minds in the world that have been wasted, think of those marvelous minds aborted: doctors, nurses, teachers, parents, poets, perhaps even a Pope.

Out in the country where I was raised, I will never forget her, my first Sunday school teacher, one of my mother's best friends, a woman with little formal education. She had the most comprehensive, photographic mind one can imagine, she could tell you the birthdate of every person in the countryside, old/young, black/white, rich or poor. She could quote almost any verse or scripture in the Bible, the preacher, in services would ask her where a certain verse is found. She could quote almost exactly anything she had ever read in any book...give you the diagnosis for any disease, the incubation period for any plant or animal, she was a walking storehouse of knowledge. Can you even imagine what she could have accomplished if given today's opportunities, a formal education, the opportunity which so many youth just throw away?

She came to me when television was just becoming popular, available in the countryside, she knew that I was a vision specialist and that she could talk with me. Probably, she loved me almost as much as my mother. She said, “Thomas, this new television is nothing but mind control, I can detect the subliminal words in the speech patterns and music from the set. With the camera and lights, they are hypnotizing the people who watch. With this instrument, Satan can change the thought patterns of anyone.”

I had studied subliminal perception in school, was familiar with the work of the Chinese in the Korean conflict, their effective mind control over prisoners and their own people. It continues to amaze me that more research and discussion has not taken place in this field, unless it is a contrived deception participated in by the “New World Order” for mind control. Bertrand Russell, atheist educator, said, “the ultimate conquest of communism will be by mind control.”

The Christian community has abrogated itself to Satanic purposes. Children from Christian homes are much more familiar with the vampirism found in the blood-sucking exploits in the Harry Potter books, then they are the credulity and historicity of God's infinite, immutable instruction. Young or Old, Satan does not care where you put your faith, Buddha, Krishna, Muhammad, as long it is not in Christ.

Congress wants the American taxpayer to perform like a trained dog...just roll over and play dead, Bernanke wants full control of all tax dollars. Foreclosures increased 2500% last year. Fat, lazy, spoiled baby-boomers starting their retirements this year, grabbing at their entitlements, have seen America's best days. People are holding on to their money, not knowing what the future holds, not spending, there is no hiring, joblessness will increase and so will the downward spiral of everything.

Dumb Americans abrogated their good sense in voting for communist ideology, hope and change, a president who, with his chief of staff were members of the “Man's Country” gay bathhouse in Chicago (stoptheaclu.com). A president, who if not born in Kenya, when he his divorced mother married an Indonesian in order to go to a Muslim Indonesian school, was an Indonesian citizen, in any matter, his citizenship regarding presidency is questioned and he has spent millions try to quash inquiries, as well as his college records, as well as other information that presidential candidates readily make available. When you abrogate one thing to wind up abrogating everything. Henry Kissinger says the American soldier is just a “pawn” for the new world order. Everything is in battle gear for a middle east warfare and the beginning of World War 3. We can expect Israel to attack Iran, endless conflict at hotspots around the world.

The Christian and patriot community have abrogated their culture to the whims of Oprah. In the gospel according the Oprah, The Secret (Rhonda Byrne), becomes holy writ...we creatures become Gods.

The exploitation film, Reefer Madness, which came out in 1936 enticed the world to use Marijuana. Teens laughing, dancing, smoking, then going off to the bedroom, a delusional-illusional world not based on reality. Through the madness of the film, and Steven Spielberg has told us that he can control the world through film, every one wants to participate. Addiction becomes the norm, evil becomes good, good becomes evil.

Horace Greeley, founder of the Republican party, editor and politician said, “people who read and study the Bible will not become enslaved.” People who study the human cell, who have any comprehension of the first chapter, first verse of the Bible, will not abrogate or subrogate their marvelous mind to the sorcery of Satan.

Assault on Christianity

Eric Berne, in 1964, wrote the book “GAMES PEOPLE PLAY“.  Perhaps this book helps explain the matter he refers to as “The Psychology of Human Relationships,” with some clarity as we are assailed everyday by the Assault on Christianity.  How any Christians can accept the atheistic ideas of same sex marriage, the slaughter of the most innocent of life in the abortion clinics of this country, a political party who supported and elected the most pro abortion politician in history, the myth of evolution, the recurring mantra of racism, this time promoted by the new black attorney general. The failure of government schools which have become just a hangout for the learning of delinquent behavior.

Our colleges and universities where ¼ of the faculty members are atheist, seek to erase everything decent regarding behavior and faith taught by loving parents.  The teaching of the myth of the theory of evolution where from nothing everything becomes something.  Where, in their eyes, ontogeny recapitulating philology, results in the ridiculous conclusion that every male and female animal (and I am not talking about human beings here), progress in the same species, male and female in the same manner so they could reproduce.  We note with interest, that these same atheists never question the Muslim faith, Mohammed, or the Koran.  You can lead an atheist to knowledge, but cannot force him to think (horse and water). They can think enough to want to keep their heads attached to their bodies.

Mystery of mysteries is why the Catholic Church does not excommunicate members (especially catholic politicians: Pelosi, Kennedy, etc.), who support and vote 54% for the pro-abortion party. The Episcopalians, in direct conflict with the Anglican church, promote a gay priest, Gene Robinson, to bishop. Other denominations, Lutheran, Methodist etc., that evidently see nothing wrong with gay preachers or same sex marriage, is like spitting in the very face of our blessed Lord. Have they never read the book of Romans, particularly the first chapter. It is the inconsistency of these “Christians” and their willingness to play church, and to play games with God, that has brought on this assault by the Godless media and the unbelievers of the world, who recognize hypocrisy much quicker than they recognize the goodness or forgiveness of God.

The first response, from every unbeliever, when one presents the Christian faith is, “now you are judging.” These folks should be blind for a while, if they want to learn about judging.  I have to judge everything, everyday, my entire life, by using every other sense since I do not have sight.  I feel, smell, listen, acutely.  Try crossing the street with a white cane if you do not judge carefully before making the attempt.

If a group of their fellow citizens were lined up, walking backwards, and one asks “why are you walking backwards?”  Someone would say, “It is none of your business for you to judge them walking backwards.”  But then, I would say, “they are walking backward over a cliff and will certainly be killed.”  The same person would say “ It is none of your business to judge what they do.”  Those who accuse one of judging never read further about the importance of fruit tree inspection. Perhaps in all of God's word there is no more absolute comfort for those who experience the Christian assault than the 4th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew.

As I have said many times to new believers, if you think times were tough before you became a believer, it will get much worse now. Following Christ’s baptism (Satan cares little for those who are already his, he goes to work on you after you make your decision), Christ was immediately tempted by Satan, first by turning stones into bread, secondly, by throwing himself off the pinnacle of the temple, and thirdly, by offering him the entire world. Satan is good at quoting scripture, (you can teach a parrot to talk), but Christ used the word of God in every answer to Satan’s temptation. In the assault on Christianity by the unbelieving, atheistic media, academic intelligentsia, philosophers of cults, and wizards of strange beliefs, the Christian must stay with God’s word.

Liberalism is a sickness and the results of liberalism is evidenced by almost 50% of the female population having STDs, 37% of live births to single women, 95% of prison inmates, males who got caught up in sexual promiscuity with accompanying drug and alcohol debilitation.

Once, on a Sunday afternoon, I was in the car driven by a Gideon ( I was the first professional man in America to become a Gideon at the San Francisco convention, heretofore it was limited to businessman) we wanted to leave Christian material at a prison camp.  He described the scene to me, it was Sunday visiting day, the prisoners were standing around the inside of the fence visiting, talking with parents, wives, children on the other side of the fence.  I said then, I hope God’s mercy will give some comfort to the parents who raised those men in prison, and will help those prisoners wives and children to overcome the degradation sin has brought to these people. Only the grace of God can change the pathos of these things.

There has been more technological knowledge that has been discovered in the last 100 years than in all previous history. Technology has changed everything except human nature.  Only Christ can change the human heart.  Why assault the Christian, the only hope?

The alcoholic carries a Christian cross in his pocket, so that when he is tempted he can feel the cross and remind himself of what he is.  The Sikhs, a religion of India, wear a bracelet (I brought one back when I was at the gold temple of the Sikhs in India) so he can always feel that bracelet, and it reminds him of who he is and his strict religion.

Christ was very real to my family, anytime one of my mother's sons left the house on a date or anything else, she would say, “ Remember who you are.” To those who like to assault Christianity and point out its warts, its failures, its hypocrites, think that the world would be better off without the hospitals, colleges, orphan homes, ministries, Christian schools and churches, provided for and dedicated by the followers of Christ.

The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalms119.  The verse 89 tell us “   Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.”  For comfort and confidence memorize Psalms 1:1-2 or Psalms 3.  The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword.  We find one time in the Bible where God laughed and it is only at those who believe him to be dead.  Such as Frederick Nietzsche or George Bernard Shaw, and many such players as Hitler ( a catholic alter boy) or Stalin ( a seminary student) or many 21st century church goers who are in pulpit and pews,” just playing games with God. “

One black minister said to me recently, “Most black church goers are their just in case there is something to it.” Charlton Heston, before he died, said, ”I am a good actor because I am a great pretender.” We have all met pretenders, and as my Christian mother said, “there is no better place for them to hide than in the church.”  Some years ago, I came in contact with a black woman preacher here in town who told me she had a ministry “feeding the homeless.” I gave her $1000 and told her I would give her money each month for the homeless people she was feeding. I gathered together all the big pots and pans in my house that I thought she could use, had friends bring over all their old clothes and I thought I was helping with an important ministry, only to find out later that it was a fraud.

The Christian life is the greatest relationship a human being can experience.  The middle verse of the 1189 chapters in the Bible is Psalms 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.” In Dante’s Inferno the sign above hell reads “Last chance.”

The Happening

The Happening is a movie in which plants are able to communicate, and they decide to emit poisons which will eliminate 'pests', including insects and people. This may, in some way, account for the rapid decline in population of bees, which are absolutely necessary for the growth of plants for food. At the request of the Swiss government, an ethics panel has weighed in on the "dignity" of plants and opined that the arbitrary killing of flora is morally wrong. About 20 years ago, the Christians in America were astounded when Pagans decided that animals should have rights.

For a long time, many vegetarians had preached against the eating of animals, some even to the extent of not wearing leather shoes because they were made from the skins of animals. You will notice that, what at one time was the sign of success and a fashion statement, the wearing of furs, is seldom seen anymore because fanatical animal rights activists now do not mind insulting any woman wearing anything made of fur. A girlfriend of mine, Apple, who I met on an Arctic expedition, father was Manhattan's best known furrier said that his business had been demolished.

When the Pagan society of this country decides that it is politically incorrect to eat plants, just as so many now have already decided it is objectionable to eat animals, it will be interesting to see how rapidly starvation ensues as our once beautifully manicured landscapes become jungles and the entire country just becomes one big rain forest. Of course, I have known some Jews in my time that eat pork. I have known some Baptists who drink liquor, and some vegetarians can not resist a tasty hamburger! The cloud of ignorance, overshadowing the education pertaining to nutrition, has the suicidal aspects of much of human existence. For an educated populous, who are supposed to be able to read, who have such marvelous technology as computers, the necessity for having the vitamins found in meat and vegetables for health, can not be discredited for the love of a small calf or beauty of an elegant asparagus plant.

In my lifetime, I have seen the lower animals and even plants replace the concern for God's chief creation, the human being. Human life has become very unimportant to most politically correct academic and media devotees, particularly the human being called Christian. The world's fastest growing religion is that of Islam, and in this country, there are more converts to Islam from the college campus and prison system than any other place. We believe their interest is founded in the fact that they want doctrine, and the Judeo-Christian religions only present hypocrisy. Always, without exception, the most popular teacher in a school is the 'coach'. The coach has rules. The coach expects you to be dressed a certain way. From the very beginning, God laid down rules and our Bible is a law book. Modernistic, diabetic (too much sugar in the pulpit) preachers and religious teachers have presented Christian young people a haphazard spirituality, just 'anything goes'. One girl recently, left the baptismal pool of the local Baptist church and went uptown to a movie. She didn't even go down to the church service after she was baptized. Do you actually think she was a baptized believer, a new creation?

Forty years ago, I was selected as the NC State Jaycees Young Man of the Year (it may surprise some of you, but I was young one time). The news and pictures had been in the papers, but I was recognized one Sunday night at the church for the honor. The thing that surprised me the most, and to this day bothers me internally and externally, is that a group of people, (Baptists) in the church, insisted on celebrating my selection. I thought they would take me to their home, perhaps have some refreshments, a time of 'thanks giving' for God having given me the energy and education for the accomplishments, but like heathens, they took me to a local bar; where we had nice, cold, soft drinks. Is it not pitiful that Christians feel they must use the world's nomenclature as the measuring stick for Christian accomplishment?

We are a separated people, a royal priesthood, our citizenship is in heaven. We are supposed to be concerned about Christ activities in our short mission here. For instance, July 3, 2009, in Lahore, a city in which I have visited, on the border of Pakistan and India, approximately 25,000 Muslims went on a rampage and beheaded 8 Christians, burned 100 Christian homes and one Christian church. It was reported that 4 police officers stood by, very unconcerned. In this country, where a few drops of rain will keep most Christians from going to church on Sunday, there a Christian asked for the afternoon off, which precipitated the entire rampage and deaths. I heard a recording made by the BBC of the screams while the Christians were being beheaded. Like the many Christians housed in prison #15 in North Korea, known around the world as the most horrible prison situation in the entire world, simply because the prisoners are Christians. Or like the 15 Christian pastors imprisoned in a North Vietnam prison, completely isolated from family and friends. We rely on the famous words of the famous preacher, Jonathan Edwards, there should be one continuous love relationship with God. Prepare yourselves, the attitude towards Christians and the Christian church will not improve. Our only comforter, our only hope, is the fact that we have sovereignty of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit at our absolute disposal.

Every time I was in London, I always stayed at a hotel next to Victoria Station, convenient to the great, metropolitan church where Charles Hayden Spurgeon, prince of preachers, preached for so many years and which is still very active. I wanted to weep each time I entered that great sanctuary, which is still filled with dedicated believers. Spurgeon once said, “Anything that causes a man to get down on his knees to God is gain to him.” Once, 5 young people, had arrived early at Victoria Station to get into the always packed church. They were sitting outside the locked door of the church, when a man walked up and said, “Would you like to see the power station of this great church?” They did not know what he was talking about, but since they had time, they agreed. He went towards the back of the building, went down a long hall, opened a door to a lower assembly, where 700 people were in prayer. He said, “This is the reason I have such a great ministry.” These young people did not know that they had already met the greatest of all preachers, Charles Spurgeon, whose wife, was bed-ridden their entire marriage but fortunate for us, she wrote down every sermon and today's minister has his great ministry in print. There is more to the Christian faith than just playing church. Faith is action, based on belief, sustained by confidence.

Jesus is all the world to me,
my life, my joy, my all;
he is my strength from day to day,
without him I would fall.
(Jesus Is All The World To Me)
