Veteran's Day 2012

           

            On Veteran's day and everyday, just because I do stupid things, just because my country does even stupider things, remember GOD IS NOT STUPID.

            This writer has traveled the world, every continent, almost every country. (Passport stamped in 157 countries.)  People have asked me what shocked me most?....such as monkey worship in temples in Asia, Goree Island on the west coast of Africa, the police state of the Sayshal Islands, the totalitarianism of communism, regimentation and hatred of the Muslim faith?  Just as very few things shock me, nothing shocks God. In the counsel chambers of eternity he knew the depravity of man, what man was capable of doing. No matter which road, which crossroads, he walked there, was there, before you got there. If God wants you, claims you, He has a purpose for you.

            The clay on the wheel never talks back to the potter. If the Christian does not have troubles and trials, if the church is not persecuted, there is little progress.

            The largest Muslim country in the world, Indonesia, 3,000 Christian churches burned last year, so the Christian churches in Indonesia are growing as never before. God's honor is at stake along with everything the Christian and the Christian church does.  He depends on the Christian to give the best VERSION of himself, the best VISION of Christ: identity, actions, language, dress. He is boss, sovereign power, able to do anything. He does not need us. He could endow-instill his divine nature in monkeys if he wanted, could convert the entire city of Chicago if he wanted. Just think of the amusement of almighty God as he watches the largest Protestant denomination, church of England, 80 million members, discuss ordaining homosexuals and lesbians....Jehovah's witnesses printing 42 million Watch Tower magazines each month. Southern Baptists, electing a black President, trying to convince the more liberal denominations that Baptist's are broad minded. God must truly be amazed that conservative Republicans, so afraid of liberal democrats, put the most radical liberal justices on the Supreme Court....Eisenhower-Burger, Regan-O'Connor, Bush 41-Suitor, etc. God must truly be confused that the world's largest Christian church, Catholic, 70 million strong in U.S.A, a church devoted to pro-life in log stop, like the liberated theology black church, vote pro-choice, pro-abortion. God has already established his honor, the fact that we must trust him. With one tree, He established obedience.

            When the three million children of Israel were instructed to march around the fortress city of Jericho, he did not dignify these people who had seen his power by telling them why they were marching. Through Joshua, he told them when to march and to keep their mouths shut. He expects obedience.

            This is Veteran's day, your writer, totally blind, 100% disabled, service connected, medical officer veteran of the Korean war era.

            In and out of military hospitals as a staff officer, VA hospitals as a patient, astounded at the way veterans are treated by their country. In the American experience, next to slavery, the greatest shame of this nation is its treatment of disabled veterans and handicapped citizens. In California, tax dollars spent in transgender surgeries, boys becoming girls, girls-boys, etc. (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_TRANSGENDER_SURGERY?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2012-11-08-20-12-46). As it was announced, just today, that 76,000 veterans are homeless.

            One of my friends took me to lunch on this Veteran's day. His young son wants a dog. He was told that their beautiful home must be inspected, a home where four exceptional children had been reared, before a dog can be adopted.

            We have learned that there is a level of such indignity acceptable to Americans. 1/3 will except a total body search in order to fly on a plane. We have become a Romans 1 society, the last election proves it, God has given us over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28).

            America has become a Lot's wife society, walking one way, looking another (Luke 17:32. THIS IS THE GENERATION THAT LOST THE REPUBLIC, at the White House, State House, church house, school house, your house, like Lot's wife leaving Sodom, walking toward God's redemption,  while gazing back at the attractiveness of Satan's sin.  I just can not believe that today's baby boomer generations have given up so easily....the land of the free, home of the brave, a world of opportunity and responsibility for which so many died in battle. Even more important, the mother's and father's who believed in raising sons and daughters, believing in the promise of this republic. Now, next week, always, we pray that God will leave the patriots left in defending the surviving values of our great country.
