Baited Hook

Baited Hook

This writer learned about a baited hook early in life. My grandmother, father's mother's ancestors, had brought from Europe a wonderful-keen sense of seafood and, she loved to fish....she knew several fishing holes in nearby rivers, nothing fancy, just fishing poles which she would attach to her long black sedan, spending several hours catching fish. She would take me along because I had found the bait (worms), new how to put bait on the hook.

Perhaps the early colonial families enjoyed good health because of their love for seafood, vegetables. I understand you can cure any disease and stay free of most disease by eating fresh vegetables and seafood. Only in northern European families that came to America, did you hear about salted herring. My grandparents would buy it by the barrel, new how to soak it in milk. In recent years, the addiction of many people, especially women, to the television, telephone. I have considered how much more profitable it would be if more women spent some of their time fishing. An Assyrian proverb states that, "The gods do not subtract from the allotted span of men's lives the hours spent on fishing." This writer-scientist-student of supplements believes that Omega Fish Oil is the answer to good health. IF, the public could learn the essentials of nutrition, so many eat because they are in the habit of eating or it is the time of day to eat. IF taught at the schoolhouse, church house, your house, that food is an essential-basic necessity, not a social thing, a special thing to be used for the nutrition, life processes of your body and living. The hook of addictive taste, attractive smells, contribute nothing to the nutrition of cells from which you must obtain life-energy. The cells of your body can differentiate between cheap-fattening food and nutritious food. The essential elements finding their way into your digestive track are accepted or rejected by the 100 trillion cells of your body (each one an active chemical factory) regulated by cell mitochondria, the systems of your body (neural, circulatory, muscular, etc). It is the health of these cells from the nutrition of fuel-energy (food), shoveled into the mouth by you, that determines your health-energy-lifespan. The bate on a hook extends to so many things-not just the care of your body, a temple not a dumpster. The stress of your mind from all senses, the hook of your belief system...advertisers, politicians, mind manipulators. The lying, cheating, stealing, deceivers of the world, know how to use every hook. Satan knows your weaknesses better than you, the hooks which entice you.

This writer has slowly learned not to believe much of what he hears (the state controlled media, the academia of seduction-popularity).

Pity the veteran who believes that his country is actually interested in him. Pity the voter who believes the politician is actually interested in him...the tax payer, the church member. MOST OF US ARE LOVED FOR WHAT ANYONE-EVERYONE CAN GET OUT OF US. This may sound cynical, just think it over.

The best example I could ever reveal: I have lived-voted from the same house in the same congressional district for 50 years. Early voting, my driver drove me to my precinct for voting. Only there, never any notification, I found that I am in a different district, unaware of my new representative. Would you not think that in the new legislative political redistricting, local politicians would have at least notified the voters of changes? Especially political veterans, the disabled and the owners of THE real estate?  More pitiful, seldom a week goes by that I do not write MY representative AND, having telephone calls from his office, did not realize the change in congressional district.  You see, the hook has been sufficiently baited from childhood, hostage enough to get your taxes, enslaved enough to get your military services, completely unconcerned about your participation in government...that you are supposed to be represented.

Politics is a dirty business, selling of souls. IF women and men with political aspirations, loving opinion molding, egos of power, steeped in financial gain, never realizing just how short life on this small, round globe, compared to the vastness of God's universe, that all will be judged by God...the poor-insignificant-God fearing tax payer, as well as the power broker. "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7).

The driver of my car...I am a totally blind, 100% disabled, service connected medical officer veteran of the Korean war era, was in the gas station paying for my gas. A car drove up near me, four black male youths and a young white girl, jumped out of the car heading for the gas station. The radio in their car was blasting forth the most indecent music one could ever hear. My driver came running to my car and said, "Let me get you away from here." He described the scene to me-five drunk "integrated" youths with profanity blasting from their car. My driver, Joe Rush said, "This is the world you fought for, gave your eyes for." Perhaps more young people are hooked by music than any other media of the senses. All over the world, hotels of splendor, street cafes, I said many times, as I hear American music everywhere, if only America could affect the world with good music because, most of the world's music comes from America. Whether rap, rock, country, gospel, even classics, all have captured-hooked hearers around the world. A remote hotel in India, my guide introduced me to members of a band. You would have thought I was somebody, simply because I was American, source place of the music which they so loved.

Music transfers and transforms messages meaningful to anyone. A band playing a Beatles favorite, "Here Comes the Sun" or a Christian choir singing, "Sunrise Tomorrow."

Music is a captivating language throughout the world. In Kenya, Africa, natives beating on drums-dancing. A Montreal professor of music said to me, "Dr. anything is music if it has rhythm, even beating on a cardboard box with a stick." There is no sense of sharing as comprehending as rhythm.

Traveling every continent of the world, great music halls of culture, cathedrals, yet raised in a small country church, having heard, in Mexico, horns outside small cantinas. Sitting on the steps of a cathedral in a small Mexican town square, it was Saturday night, several couples, she in a white wedding dress, went in and out of the cathedral getting married. Across the square, the music from the cantina. Whether the church or the bar, language of appreciation...music. I have never known a man or women who did not appreciate some type music, whether a guitar, banjo, great classics on vinyl, or a gospel quartet singing to a well honed pianist. Perhaps more important than sex, or even sin, the hook of taste from food and drink, the hook of sound with a rhythm and in today's world, the sound which has become more and more popular with more and more people, a variety of human voices, radio talk shows. A real hook, new to the world, very profitable both to the host-hostess and the advertiser, the humanity involved in human beings talking to one another...the talk show. If you do not think so, watch Opera and learn her about her money. Rush, living like a king.

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ" (Colossians 2:8).
