Why Not?

My writing and speaking has always been controversial, why not? Johann Sebastian Bach dedicated each piece of music he wrote to the glory of God. He dedicated each day of his life to the glory of God. Each morning of my life, I celebrate with a small piece of bread and a taste of wine a private communion dedication in remembrance of the greatest act of love in history, the crucifixion of our Lord on Calvary. He told us to remember what He had done for us and the saved Christian dedicates every day of his life to the glory of God. In this day of “happy go lucky” lifestyles, the peculiar person is a novelty. In Greek mythology, the symbol for peculiar was a dot with a circle around it showing that there is no one else like us.

In a 1994 Sports Illustrated issue, OJ Simpson said, “If I had killed my wife, it would be because I loved her so much.” If being peculiar means that I don't fall for such indecency and lies that most people will swallow then count me as one of the lesser and lesser peculiar group.

In 1866, the German zoologist Ernst Haeckel proposed that the embryonic recapitulation development of an individual organism (its ontogeny) followed the same path as the evolutionary history of its species (its phylogeny). This theory, in the highly elaborate and deterministic form advanced by Haeckel, has, since the early twentieth century, been refuted on many fronts.

Aldous Huxley, scientist and bulldog for Charles Darwin, supported the Haeckel theory of ontogeny recapitulating phylogeny and is still taught in some biology classrooms. But, as the UNCCH medical scientists Drs. Clayborn Jones and W.C. George taught this science student, many years ago, beware of these atheist theories and fraud drawings.

This did not slow down Dr. Benjamin Spock who wrote his book (The Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care) on child development and the permissive development of a child's imnety with parents, which influenced parenting for many years. To the extent that he sold 50 million books in 39 languages. Most people do not realize that, before his death, he apologized for the erroneous teachings in his book. King Solomon and others had already instructed parents for many years, to “Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Dr. Spock had forgotten that the Hippocratic Oath applies to child rearing as well as to disease treatment. Five hundred years before Christ, Hippocrates had already taught, “do no harm.” Does anyone doubt that Dr, Spock's erroneous instructions, and the fraud drawings of Dr. Haeckel, have had their influences on today's parenting?

My two ancient grandmothers, with wrinkles and white hair from years of study and laboratory work, rearing children and grandchildren knew more than any of these scientists about training and treatment.

In the evolutionist's mind, where three thousand babies, the most innocent of life, are aborted each day, where in a permissive society parents are obeying children the liberal marxist, atheists, science doctrinaire does not believe that a child is created in the image of God. “Thou has covered me in my mother's womb, I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:13-14 the recapitulation embryologists does not believe in God's word, does not want to hear God's word, regards genus Homo sapiens as just another soul-less animal and does not believe in any restraints regarding behavior since sin is rewarding and enjoyable (at least for a season) and we are here just to enjoy life. Carl Sagan in his television show, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage said, “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. it is simply too painful to acknowledge -- even to ourselves -- that we've been so credulous. So the old bamboozles tend to persist as the new bamboozles rise.”

Throwing doubts at God's word, throwing daggers at those who proclaim God's word, trying to find any little crack with which to attack “the faith that has endured” has always been the quest of the atheistic scientists. God is still on His throne. Christ is still glorified in the hearts of those who love Him.
